Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Chicago

From booking my appointment with Sharon to working with JJ to fix my numerous plumbing issues, the communication and service was top notch. Not only was JJ on time for our Sunday appointment, he stuck around for another 3 hours to complete the work even though I had only initially requested an estimate. As an amateur handyman myself, I found JJ to be extremely knowledgeable and competent in his work. He told me what needed to be done, how much it would cost and how long it would take and he stuck to his estimates and time frames. Sharon also followed up with me after my appointment to see how everything with JJ went and to make sure I didn't have any questions. Much more than expected and why I was more than happy to make an exception and take the time to leave a review. I can't speak wo anyone else's experience but mine, but these guys get an overwhelming thumbs up!!!!

I was charged 99$ for an estimate - technician used a device to see if it was clogged. All he said was I needed a new toilet and charged another 137$. The total was 237$ for nothing done. I should of listened to my son and just have bought the toilet. These companies want to charge an arm and a leg for nothing. Terrible!!!

This company can't be trusted. I set up an appointment for my parents to get an estimate to replace two 40 gallon water heaters with one new water heater from Cody. Although the new water heater quote was reasonable, they quoted my parents $570 to disconnect and remove the second 40 gallon water heater. This is beyond ridiculous and none of the other estimates that we received from licensed plumbers had this upcharge. I could understand charging a fee for the second water heater, but definitely not $570.

To be fair, the customer service woman was responsive, and they made the appointment on time. She and Cody attempted to explain the charge, but the explanation didn't make sense and I was too frustrated to allow them to explain further.

I used Mr Rooter a few times for commercial properties. Darrell in customer service never honors the warranties and always makes up an excuse why its not covered. Josh the manager did not properly camera the lines, misdiagnosed the problem after another professional plumbing company came out, then pretended to do a favor when he offered me warranty which should have been included in the first place. These guys are horrible - they never fix the problem the first time, misdiagnose the problem, then upsell the water jetting which apparently has no warranty while other companies do provide warranty, and then may suggest replacing a sewer line when its not necessary. I will be contacting my credit card company to chargeback, BBB, and attorney for class action lawsuit. I could not be more upset and I lost a lot of money. I found another plumbing company that charges same prices, provides real warranties, and they diagnose the problem correctly the first time.

They unclogged my toilet and looked at the rest of my plumbing and I needed a video camera to come to my house the next service guy showed up and the video camera showed a broken pipe so I needed an excavation at my place I just bought. Mr. Rooter office and service guys were very nice during this difficult time I can now say my problems are all fixed I spent good money for great serve Thanks Sharon & Maria at the office, the video guy Josh, and the nice guys who dug up my yard and put my plumbing back to perfect working order. I would recommend them to all my friends

They were professional from talking to Sharon on the phone booked an appointment that worked with my schedule. The tech came out for an free estimate and price was good and work done Thanks JJ great work all is working I am so happy

Highly recommend! Good work fair prices. When I called Sharon was so helpful and even told me how to get a coupon. Greg really knew his stuff.

I had a backed up toilet and sink in my basement. I tried to clear it myself. After calling Mr. Rooter I was told that the sewer line was backed up. They were able to have someone at my house within an hour and half. They cleared up the sewer line and were able to provide some recommendations on how to prevent this from happening again. Great service!

My toilet was acting up and I wasn’t able to find places that could do it at a fair price. I called here and talked to Sharon which provided me with professional and quick help. Next thing I knew someone arrived on time and repaired my toilet that has been running correctly since.

Johnny came out and fixed my plumbing problem and knew right away what needed to be done and did it fast and efficiently. I highly recommend him.

Terrible service, hard to get in touch with but real quick to charge you.
left me one week without water because they broke water main and took one week to replace.so $10k later nothing was done and original problem still there.

Had a leaky pipe underneath toilet and they came in fixed it and got it done fast and efficient plus good

They guys are awesome! They came for a sewer clean out and they do their job very quick. I liked it.

I called about catch basin cleaning but guy had no idea what i want after he finally got it and check when they can come said they cant do service because is too big treffi on the road .UNBELIEVABLE
