I wish I had seen the review someone has on here from 2 years ago. But, first, let me say that I am always more than willing to pay someone for his/her time if I know ahead of time what I will be charged. In this case, the owner, Scott, NEVER told me there was a Service Fee and the amount before the appointment when he quoted what it would cost to replace the outdoor faucet. When he got to my home, he checked it and it was determined that NOTHING needed to be replaced.
That's when he said the Service Call or trip to my home was still going to cost me $250. I said what would it cost if you don't touch the faucet. He said the cost is still the same. So, he spent 10 minutes lubricating the faucet to try and justify charging me that ridiculous Service Fee that I didn't know about during our initial call nor would I ever agree to paying to just stop by. NOBODY I know would ever agree to that fee and had I known ahead of time what he was going to charge me, even if he did nothing, I would have looked elsewhere.
There are so many choices, but he was a referral from my neighborhood group, so I thought he would work with me. My bank would not reverse the charge because they said since I gave him my credit card, even if I didn't know about the charge or agree to it ahead of time, I needed to work it out with him. So, I reached out to him and asked that he at least give me back $200 of the $250 and all he did was try and justify the visit, again missing the point! This is NOT the way to run a business and I will not refer him to anyone and hope people read my review and the one from a few years ago on this site too from another customer.
