Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Mike (#1063) replaced the spigot on the front of my house and the shutoff valve for it in my basement. He gave me a couple of options and set clear expectations for what might or might not work based on the age of my plumbing. He was very thorough in explaining things to me and was prompt about getting the parts he needed. He also taught me a little bit about how minerals build up inside copper pipes from hard water which sounds boring, but I'm a technical guy. I liked hearing about it :) I've always had good service from Roto-Rooter and I would definitely request to work with Mike again!

My husband and I are very satisfied with the installation work done by Ted (#1700).He arrived on time and knew exactly what needed to be done to replace our old kitchen faucet. The actual service from Rene was a 5 star for sure. He was very polite, respectful of my home, efficient, and opened up my drain the first time! He did not mind me watching and talked me through his work and gave me suggestions for the future. My only disappointment was waiting for my appointment. The first day I was told a 4-8 pm window. When it came to 8:15 pm I called to reschedule for the next day for 8am-12 so that I did not have to deal with someone in my kitchen at 10pm. They did call and give me updates on the scheduled day and again before he headed to my appointment which was 12:30. It just would have been nice to get a call on the first night if they were running late, one more day was not going make a difference to me. The lack of communication was of some concern at first but rectified with the service. Just be patient.

had a floor drain that was slowly backing up. they did due diligence of trying to clear line. when it looked like that was not issue track to to a gummed up backflow flap. cleaned it up and flushed the line and all been good since.

Corey (4586) has been so helpful to ensure all of our troubles were fixed. He really helped us out in a difficult time and made the process easy and painless. Tim (2810) came and did the sewer work. Great experience overall. The serviceman, Orlando(#70), was knowledgeable as far as troubleshooting my issue. He was right on with the diagnoses. He solved the issue in a timely manner and also informed me on an option for a less evasive method for the future if I choose to install an outside clean-out. they are preparing an estimate for me. I have used these guys before & will call them again when the time comes. I give them a 10 :)

Highly recommend Roto Rooter. I called at 8:30 on Sunday night on Memorial Day weekend. Not only did they answer the phone, but they connected me with Technician Orlando who came right away. He quickly and efficiently diagnosed two separate issues with our sump pump and main sewer line. Everything was explained prior to completing any work and the price was fair.

Very pleased with the Rene (#1199). Professional, very neat and clean. The work was done well. They were prompt and did call just prior to arrival even though I had been scheduled really for the day before. They called and said they would not make it that day as scheduled and came promptly the next day. Though it was a bit pricey it was money well spent.

I had a question about the pricing and talk to Geoff. He is probably one of the rudest people you could ever speak to. He got real loud with me. I would highly recommend not using this company

I have used Roto Rooter on several occasions and they will always be my first call with emergency issues. They are very responsive and have complete repaid the same or next day. This time, I discovered that my water heater had cracked late in the evening. I was able to schedule man appointment for the next morning and the new tank was installed by the next afternoon. They are the absolute worst. I had an appointment scheduled for 6-10 PM. At 8:30 they said a plumber was on his way. Nothing until 9:45 when they called and cancelled saying it was too late. They said they would have someone over the next night by 8 pm. Nothing until 9:45 when they called and said they were behind schedule and would have someone over sometime later. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! AVOID!!!!

Very helpful! I called Monday morning after seeing water damage coming from one of my toilets/pipes. They reached out right away with my time constraints and had someone at my house within 2 hours. I believe it was Matt who came and fixed everything. Was very nice and repair only took an hour. Was up front on the cost so I wasnt surprised. They even were able to hook me up with someone who can handle the water damage in my subfloor.

Service: Leak in water main shut-off valve, 1/15/2012Technician: Joe, operator 3219After comparison shopping, I called Roto-rooter as they didn't charge to have a technician travel to you and give an estimate. Joe, technician 3219, came out to my house to inspect, service, or replace a leaky water main shutoff. Joe gave me a reasonable estimate for the repair, and quoted me a lesser charge should he not be able to repair it and have to replace it or escalate the service. Joe attempted the repair without insisting that I have the city shut off the water to the house, (which a city rep had told me could take 2 weeks due to the service call backup) and succeeded, instructing me on how attempt to service it myself in the future. He was very polite, professional, and informative; he did not push for a most expensive replacement, and saved me a lot of time, money, and frustration having the water main shut off (and later turned back on) by the city. Joe accepted my $40 coupon from the Roto-Rooter site, and my leak was fixed for $57 out the door. Much less than most other companies charge to even have a technician arrive at your door. I highly recommend Joe and Roto-Rooter for any plumbing work you need done.

I made an online appointment the night before and they were able to take me first thing on Saturday morning. Matt (4439) the technician was great and he explained everything that he was doing throughout his entire visit. They were able to clear a very difficult clog at a reasonable price.

My gas meter was trapped out due to multiple leaks in the house, called these guys and they had someone out within a few hours to help resolve the issue. No one called me back like they said they would the first time I called for an appointment but no big deal, guy was very helpful in working with me to get the gas company to turn my gas back on.

I lost my husband 2 years ago, this flooding was a very catastrophic event for me Because he always took care of these things. Drake Savage was the service tech who responded to my off hour call. He came and assessed the situation, called his supervisor, Jason Charles, and they were very responsive & respectful of my very emotional state. They guided me through the process and though I couldn’t get financing they were very patient while I lined up funding. Then, Drake Savage spent the next 3 days-Saturday, Sunday, Monday-excavating, repairing, cleaning up an old and broken sewerage pipe. He was patient, explained everything as he went and worked with my brother-in-law to make sure I understood everything. He was a work horse, performing very manual, heavy labor alone. He also called and set up for the water restoration consult. He even remembered it was my birthday on Monday after having heard it only once on Saturday! He is a phenomenal young man. I almost didn’t call Roto Rooter because I was afraid the company was too big and would do only fair work. Drake made me so grateful for having called your company. He is an asset and if all your service techs are like him then it’s no surprise your company has been around as long as it has been. We had a clogged kitchen sink. After we rented a drain auger from Home Depot, we realized the clog was further down than the 25ft the snake went. We called Roto Rooter at 12p on a Sunday. They were able to come to my house within a few hours of placing a phone call on a Sunday to remove heavy tree root blockage in the main sewer line of my house. They were able to clear the blockage within a few hours, explained the work they performed, and recommended further measures to avoid the problem in the future. The price charged was also fair. Needed to replace the main water pipe that was leaking and Steven did a great job! He walked us through each step that he was going to do and was very transparent along the way. We had a major water drainage issue from a failed sump pump and backup drain. Paul assessed all the issues and replaced our sump pump. He was efficient, incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He also kept us calm while half of our basement was under several inches of water. He talked us through everything in detail and faciliated the next steps in the process, called someone to assess the damage etc. We highly recommend him and this company!

My husband had been complaining for months concerning the garage and downspout drainage issues. He was very troubled. So finally I decided to do something about it. He recommended I call Roto Rooter. They came the same day I called! The first technician we saw came in the afternoon. He recommended a solution but the equipment was not on his truck. So later that evening another technician, Jonathan, showed up. First let me say how professional and thorough Jonathan was. He began by using his camera to assess the situation. He determined the problem but shared he needed additional equipment to resolve our drainage issues. He informed us that he would specifically note our problem with the Roto Rooter office first thing in the morning and have someone come out the same day.Well promised, the Roto-Rooter office called us and indicated that Jonathan would be coming back later. They tole us Jonathan would be there because he was familiar with our drainage issues. Not only did Jonathan return but by the end of his service visit, we were satisfied with his results Jonathan and the staff at Roto-Rooter are exceptional. They followed up, kept in touch with technician arrival time, and advised if there would be delays. Not too many companies are as efficient and informative as they are. We can't say enough about the high quality services of Roto-Rooter. Their price was a bit higher than we expected, but they are worth every penny!If anyone is ever in need of quality plumbing and drainage services CALL Roto-Rooter today!

Even though I did not like that the workers showed up late. I was very pleased with the work they did. They took their time and made sure that my pipes were uncloged and they made sure all roots were gone. They did a very excellent job thank you.

Kind of expensive just to unclog a drain, $415. They wanted to use a camera to check the heating ducts for a sewer/gray water line link and charge an extra (discounted rate) of $485. The HVAC company who did my furnace inspection, filter replacement, and used a camera to look into 3 of my heating ducts for the same reason was a total of $195. Not sure how or why Roto-Rooter charges $485 to scope one duct. The drain in the kitchen clears great now and based on quoted prices, they're about average to slightly higher than other services cost-wise. The plumber was thorough in explaining everything and trying to diagnose the problem the best he could considering I have old, terracotta heating vents (never heard of or seen before) but the price to just scope it and not actually fix the problem was way too high.

Unfortunately, my water heater decided to stop working late on a Sunday night. I called Roto-Rooter and they had someone at my house within an hour. The technician, Matthew #4439, conducted a meticulous inspection of my water heater. Problem was that the unit was from 2002, and getting spare parts would be next to impossible. I decided to have a new unit installed and asked him if he could do it that night- and he did. Listen, being able to take a hot shower was far more important to me than the cost of a new water heater. Matthew had the new water heater installed and working within 3 hours total...on a Sunday night. I can't thank him enough. Bottom line, if you need the job done right in an emergency, trust Roto-Rooter.

Let's do this in 2 parts:Drake(1255) was great! Totally professional, kept me updated on all that was going on every step of the way- HE gets a 5 star rating.However, the appointment was booked for FRIDAY between 2-6pm. NO ONE kepot me updated. I called in twice and got nothing helpful- once at 4:30 and then once at 5:45pm. Then someone called me at like 7pm saying they would have to reschedule. That part was NOT ok. I blocked out the 4-5 hours, and they wanted me to do that again. For that- its a 1 star- due to the fact that the appointment wasn't kept for the day scheduled and the fact that no one kept me updated.

Chris, the professional Roto-Rooter sent to clear the clog in my kitchen sink, was punctual, friendly, polite, knowledgeable and very efficient. He resolved the problem quickly all the while showing me what was happening, what he was doing and how I can help avoid the problem from reoccurring.

Should change the name to Rescue Rooter! Responded to my SOS quickly! The plumber fixed the problem, and confirmed that the solution was truly resolved. Nice and professional technical. I would contact them if I have another problem.

Dan was a great. We had an easy time scheduling someone to come out the following day for a clog in our bathroom sink. Dan was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. He had the problem assessed, fixed and cleaned up within the hour! We took note of him in particular and will absolutely use him again!

My mother's drains were clogged up so she called RR. They were supposed to come in the afternoon but arrived at 8:30 AM. My mother (who is 90) let them in and they ran a video where they said it stopped at the foundation and that the pipe had shifted; it could be roots but likely the pipe and that they needed to dig outside. They gave her an estimate of $8,800 and had her initial a work order (I'm assuming since I was not there). My sister was sleeping through all of the and when she called I got a hold of RR and cancelled the work. They had already sent out a worker to mark for gas lines and the excavation crew was on their way. Needless to say they wanted to start digging ASAP. The work order also said they would dig a hole 5' long and 7' deep. If there was more damage they would likely have to replace the entire sewer line to the street at considerably higher cost

After trying to unclog my shower drain myself and getting nowhere I finally bit the bullet and called in the pros. Rich (#2338) was exactly that- a pro. He came in explained the likely issues, gave me a range of options to fix it and just like that we were on our way to a draining tub. He even gave us advice on some other issues we were having. I just bought a house in December for my daughter, however the owner of the house was an estate and they had no clue about the septic situation. Mike, #1031 fixed my plugged kitchen drain, he was very courteous and professional in preforming his duties. He took his time and went the extra mile to make sure everything worked properly. We had a kitchen sink backed up. (Mike #2189) came to home. After taking apart it was evident that the issue was not in pipes below sink but much further in. Unfortunately boyfriend liked to clip his cigars daily in the sink.... Funny but true. After carefully snaking and it took him a while, checking in basement and ensuring all working smoothly, everything was completed. He was extremely neat and left all clean including floor, undersink etc. I would absolutely call again and request him. Also lock up boyfriend if he cuts another cigar in the kitchen sink and say it is biodegradable!!!!!

The technician was very friendly and explained everything that was going to be done. Very professional and completed the work with no household interruption. Larry did an excellent job and no mess to clean up. I would call again without a second thought. The total cost was a little pricey but his efforts was worth the cost.

Scheduled service 6 days in advance for a simple toilet reset to fix a leak the technician missed the two hour window then called me after the window to ask if I was willing to reschedule. I already waited and I told them it’s a new flange I’ve already seen it set flush to a flat floor and just needs set with proper spacers and should be quick. They agreed but never showed up. I never got a call from them last night or today. Complete waste of time that I made myself available for during work hours. Next time you need to reschedule call me before the appointment not after! Thats common courtesy…. Now I will find another place to do the work as this is a sign of the service and quality I can expect from Roto-Rooter.

Had a backed up sewer, called them up for what to do. Had a guy come out in a timely manner and look everything over. No charge for diagnosis. Free! The employee that helped us out was amazing, explained everything, knew what he what talking about and answered a lot of questions. Tenant's water heater failed. I called Rotor-rooter they came out quick and installed a new heater and repiped it. They did it quickly and economically.

We called on a holiday weekend and were quite pleased they were able to send some one out within a few hours. The guy they sent was fantastic. Super great guy, knew what he was doing. Was quick and efficient. Told us everything that he was doing and how we can try to prevent it in the future. Left us with a bottle of product to help keep drains running smoothly. With all that said it was crazy expensive as well!Today is 2 weeks later and I'm changing my opinion. We just spent 2 days and another $200 to fix the damage that this company did. While rapping me of $350 to clean out my drain they also put a hole through my pipe. When I tried to call and question, there was no answer.

Chris was attentive, listened to my concern about the drain not working, and was willing to do whatever he could to fix the problem (even in the dark and mud). He was friendly, helpful and tested the drain prior to leaving. He was able to quickly troubleshoot and was very confident in his skills. He even cleaned up the mess the roto-rooter had made! My husband and I called Roto-rooter when the pilot light in our water heater went out. It was a long drawn out process that ended in much more work than it originally seemed, but Paul and Terry were there with us every step of the way, keeping us well informed, both about the situation and how best to resolve it. While the situation itself was stressful, their friendly, professional attitudes helped keep us focused on the best solution for our needs.

Our service tech was Rene #1199 and he was a very pleasant hardworking gentleman. Came out first thing in the morning when we found out our water tank would need replaced late the night prior. Offered his expertise and helped us choose our replacement product. Parts were all in stock and job able to be fully completed within 24 hrs of incident. Work site was cleaned prior to leaving, I.e. no garbage left behind.

We had a faucet repaired on a Sunday, a hot water heater replaced on Tuesday, and another faucet replaced on Wednesday all done by Roto Rooter. We all know plumbing is expensive so you want to know the job, or jobs in our case, are done right and they were.

Roto-Rooter gave us a window of 4 hours of when to expect them at our house to fix our badly-leaking-toilet. They arrived at the start of that 4 hour wait, after receiving a phone call from our tech that he was on the way. Ben was kind, professional, thorough and quick. He explained everything before starting to work on the issue. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Ben had our toilet fixed within an hour!The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars, was the cost...was a little pricey!! That being said, we have a 6 month guarantee that if the issue reoccurs, they will come back out at no cost to us. We also received a year's worth of live enzyme drain flush to keep sludge build up under control...so all things considered, it was worth it!I would recommend Roto-Rooter to a friend.

James came out quickly but snaked the wrong drain. I got the $40. 0ff and a follow-up for the same drain. Still clogged. What a waste of money!

Called Roto Rooter to fix a clogged shower drain. Service was easy to schedule and the technician arrived the same day. While clearing the drain they ran into another issue that required some general plumbing repair. The service technician called the service manager for assistance and the plumbing was ultimately fixed. I got a sense that the technician was not skilled in general plumbing.

Had a clogged drain from roots in my front yard. Roto-Rooter came out and started to snake, ran into the roots and wanted to dig up my front yard. I had another plumber come out and 2 hours later my main sewer line was unclogged with no need to dig up my front yard. DO NOT RECCOMEND!

my mother had a major sewer back-up, with standing water and sewage in her basement. this happened to be 3 days before Christmas. we called 5 plumbing companies, with Roto-Rooter being the only one to respond. they were able to send out a plumber within 90 minutes. more extensive work needs to be done, but after a few hours, they had the drains running (slowly) so we could at least use the water. they will be coming back on Tuesday to excavate and do all the line repairs, with a very fair estimate for everything that needs to be done. the plumber was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable throughout his visit on Thursday. we are very pleased with the services of Roto-Rooter..

I called Roto-Rooter today, and the person who took my call was very polite and courteous and immediately said that they could take care of my plumbing issue. The technician (Rene 1199) then showed up on time and was very kind and knowledgeable about the emergency we were having with our toilet. Despite the cost, I was very pleased with the work that was done.

I called Roto-Rooter because my main drainline was clogged. Within less than 90 minutes, Vernon [#3997] was in my basement. He was professional, knowledgeable, very kind ...and worked diligently for more than three hours to clear the drain. Despite his best efforts, Vernon had to call in Dan [3239] who responded promptly with the super jet water equipment. They both continued to work on the clog ....and finally the drain is flowing freely. They were HEROIC in their efforts on my behalf. Gratefully I would recommend Roto-Rooter and especially Vernon and Dan.

Drake # 1255 was our serviceman. We had a sanitary main line back up. He explained to us his planfor solving our problem. We was very professional and knowledgeable. It wasn’t an easy clean out and he worked past his shift to get the job done. We were so grateful that he was able to get our toilets working again.

Unfinished work paid for .tim was supposed to get with me two days ago to camera the pipes.no responses back.found out being over charged yet.mike 1289 was great person to have but my upset goes with this tim guy.waited all day he was supposed to come and calling and txtn with no responses back.want head manager or ceo to contact me.mike isn't the issue its tim!then the office of lorain county have many issues on.called another and gal on phone were super in getting me contacts i need.agreed with me .my issues were so unreal.this office is not together.long story if owner cares to hear.call me .we can set time up to come talk if like.furious customer.lots more to all of this too.too much to write.so as of today tim had said finally txt two days ago he would have manager call yesterday morning.i have heard nothing from anyone yet.owner i would think you would be concerned on this issue of mine.i had no finished job here and been lied too and all.you show here concern for ur company so it should start with ripped off customer and i would say tim should have to leave company on how he has ignored and treated a customer.so anyone who wants full rundown on what happened lmk.ill be happy to fill ya in and my neighbors are aware and were here and saw and will get reliable now.this was so unfair to me and the office screw ups three days in a row.very unorganized at this avon office.love talking to other offices and hats off to medina for helping .one of the gal was awesome.too bad they dont service this area.think owner needs to look into cleaning up his office staff and so called field supervisors.not plumbers just head honcho himself.glad everyone else had better than me but it was aweful and still is what ive been thru with this trusted company.😡

Called on a Saturday afternoon for an overflow from a drain clog. They responded very quickly (within 30 minutes). The employee was fantastic in letting me know what was going on and what he would be doing. They brought in a supervisor to run a camera, and a cleanup crew. The service was fast and professional.

We bought our house and closed on it the week Ohio shut down and we instantly had issues with our hot water on demand system. After many issues with our home warranty company we called roto rooter and they not only had someone out the next day but the issue was also fixed the same day. He arrived on time, worked quickly and professionally, explained everything he was doing and why, showed me the repairs and where the leak was happening, and then made as little mess as possible in fixing it, taking out just a small section of wall inside of the linen cupboard, and leaving all of my tiling intact. I was especially pleased that he cleaned up EVERYTHING in the tub when he was done fixing the pipe. And I mean everything - the place was spotless. I could hardly tell any work had been done in there.

They not only resolved my plumbing issue (Thank you Mr. Dan), but there was extensive water damage and the restoration team contacted my home owners insurance company and got the ball rolling for repairs (Thank you Mr. Branden and Mr. Eyan). The Roto-Rooter plumber was very professional, and the service was excellent. My drain was severely clogged, to the point where even the mechanical auger had trouble with the clog. However, the plumber kept trying long after most other plumbers would have given up, and he was eventually able to fix the problem. I definitely will be calling them again for any future needs.

Over pricedContacted Roto-Rooter because I saw so many ads. Thought they were reputable and fair. My mistake. I should have checked the reviews online. Problem: Clogged kitchen drain. Needed a snake to get in under the disposal. Should be a 15 mins job with the right tools. What happened: Called the Roto-Rooter 800 number. They were very polite but would not quote a price. Said the plumber will inspect and quote. That wasn't true. Because there was a price list for services. Plumber comes in on Fri afternoon. Takes a look and quotes $450 for the services. But will do it for $350 because he can give me a discount for cash don't trust Keith. Given that I have a party on Sat morning I decide to cough up the money. Ugh. I feel like I was robbed.I had seen the local plumber quote $125 for the same job. Keith does a good job. Then he says if you give us a good review then they will run a lottery and may refund your service fee. That is just wrong! I wonder how many people will write a good review hoping to win the lottery while misleading other customer! Anyway, I am kicking myself for not comparing their prices with other vendors. Unclogging a drain is not rocket science. It should not cost $350 bucks. Hope you don't make the mistake I made!

There was a leak going from a bathroom to my basement a few weeks ago. Larry(418) was prompt in responding to the problem and replaced a pipe that was leaking behind a vanity in the bathroom. He even was considerate enough to put shoe covers on while inside our home.

Absolutely fantastic customer service. Came out at 10pm to 2am on a Saturday night and tried to find the problem of my back up. Was not able to get the job done that night and was never charged for the visit that would of cost me $466. (By the way they only work on commission). Someone else came out the next day with better equipment and got the job done. I’m more then pleased with my experience and wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Our issue developed on New Years Day. I called a company that is well known and respected. We received excellent service. The plumber arrived within the time frame promised. Larry found the problem could not be completely fixed that day but improved the situation so the plumbing was usable until they could come the next day. They came within the time promised. The problem was much bigger than hoped for but they fixed it and quickly responded to an issue that developed after they left. We made the right call. We will call Rotor Rooter again if needed.

Called for a consultation on a shower faucet that I had previously had another person (a family friend who says he is a plumber) take a look at and complete what he said was a fix for the issue. The technician from Roto-Rooter, Paul, quickly reviewed the situation and provided the best and worst case estimates. He took the time to repair what most other plumbers would have probably very easily said was a full replacement job to repair the faucet, and not only restored it to working, but also corrected the drip that was persistent before the original repair. For the work being completed on a holiday Sunday, the rate was fair and the work was done well. Great service overall and I would highly recommend this tech and this Roto-Rooter office to anyone in the Cleveland area looking for plumbing service.

This company is full of thieves and swindlers. Gave an estimate for a break up for $10k. Had another company out and they didn't have to break up anything and did the job 100% for $300. Commission plumbers cannot be trusted. Stay away from any company with rooter in the name.

I recently has Rotorooter out to clear out laundry room drain, I was very pleased and impressed with the curtious and professional service I received from Orlando and his helper, they were very quik and awnsered all questions I had and thourghly expained how to prevent this from happening again. I was expecting to pay a ridiculous amount of money to replace a 5ft length of copper piping and an outdoor spigot, as well as it taking most of the day. I was extremely happy to have it only take around 2 hours (including them running out to grab the materials they needed), and it being half of what I expected to pay.The work looks great and the new spigot fits really well (unlike the wiggly old one). They two guys who did the work were very friendly, informative, and efficient. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Paul (tech #630) did a fantastic job with repairing a leak under our bathroom sink. He listened carefully to how I described the issue and the solution I wanted, and he quickly confirmed the problem and gave me an estimate. He got parts and came back within 30 minutes, with only another 30 minutes to finish the repair after that.He was friendly and professional throughout the job, always ready to answer my questions. He even stayed after the repair while I was testing the faucets around the house and helped me find a valve that was half closed (probably from our panic in turning off water when we saw the leak!). Jake (308) was at our house taking care of the burnt out sump pump in our basement. We had 2-3” water build up and he had no hesitation jumping in. He was kind, observant (noticed some other possible future issues) and informative. Will recommend Roto Rooter in the future.Edit - we were raked over a barrel. We were over charged by $300 for an install job with a part that bought myself. I have also found out that the piping was done wrong. My wife and I are extremely upset and disappointed that we were taken advantage of and also had a job done improperly. We will be calling to get this resolved as soon as possible. I would recommend not going to them as I hear this is a common occurrence. To top it off, they offer water mitigation and I still have yet to hear from them on this job. I’m extremely disappointed as they had a 4.8 rating and expected more out of them. If this gets resolved. I may improve my review.

My fiancé and I just bought our home 3 months ago and our sump pump went out and we had water in our basement. Paul 630 was fantastic. They came right out, fixed the problem and puts a warranty on their work. The service was a little pricy but it was after hours and they came immediately so I didn't mind.

Called just after 5pm for a clogged kitchen sink. Was given a 6-10p service time window. At almost 11p was told they were too booked to come out. NOT a 24 hour company! I could have called someone else and had it fixed that evening. Instead wasted time waiting around for nothing. After reading reviews on how overpriced they are maybe I dodged a bullet.

Roto-Rooter Tech looked over the situation, made recommendations of what should be done. He then proceeded to use power equipment to open all affected drain lines that were slow. Everything was completed in just under 2 hours time. Very professional.

Booked an appointment online and received an email with my ticket number and time window to expect them. Great start, it was quick and easy. I didn't get an appointment until the next day, but at least felt like I was scheduled and good to go. They are supposed to show up between 10 am and Noon, I adjusted my schedule and was all set.Noon comes and goes the day they are confirmed to arrive. I gave them another hour since things happen and all jobs are not simple and then called. When I called in my information was confirmed, they found my service ticket, confirmed the street address and time window (that had passed) and sent me to a dispatcher. It wasn't a case of a lost service ticket.. they had everything. The dispatcher told me your the next job. They should be out within the hour. Great.. they will be two hours late, but it will be handled. I expected them around 2 pm.4:30 pm comes and no calls, text, and no plumber. I called again and went through the same process. I get a different dispatcher who says your the next job. They should be out within the hour. But wait a minute, the person at 1 pm said the exact same thing. Am I really next on the list? Yes, your next on the list they should be there in an hour or so. The hour or so left me zero confidence they would be showing up anytime soon. At this point they are 4 1/2 hours late.At 6 pm (6 hours late and no calls) I give up and call someone else. At 7:30 pm with my issue is resolved I call back and cancel. Why are you cancelling?? I repeated the above and was sent to a dispatcher to cancel. I confirmed my information and my service was cancelled. No apologies, no but the plumber is on the way and at least there was no but your next!.I get an email confirming my cancellation and an $80 coupon to use in 30 days.. Would not recommend and will not be giving them a second chance.

Rene (tech #1199) came out yesterday (ahead of schedule) and did an excellent job of clearing a blockage below the p-trap of our kitchen sink, He was able to determine exactly where the blockage was, clear it for us, and even identify what the blockage was (rubber bands, sludge, rust and dryer sheets - go figure!)He clearly explained my options price-wise, and left the work area clean, tidy and secure.I would highly recommend them!

The first guy that worked at my house for the water backup was great no issues. However, they are not timly with the cleaning and water removal they promised. This company did not complete my job to IICRC standards. The employee did not remove all parts of the water damaged basement that had sewage and mold on it.I am still waiting for services that was promised a week ago. They also do not have a sense of urgency nor concerened with fixing unsanitary living conditions for their customers.

I can't say enough about Roto-Rooter's service and the top-shelf service man they sent to repair a blocked drainage line in my yard. My serviceman, Orlando, worked (and I mean he worked) all day to manually remove a couple of trees whose roots had interfered with drainage from my house to the sewer line. I hired a plumber to work on this problem last year who misdiagnosed the problem, charged me more, and gave me no warranty on the work. If I ever need service for a plumbing issue in the future, Roto-Rooter will be my first call. They did a lot of work at a very fair price - and on a holiday weekend!

Rene did a great job diagnosing and unclogging our kitchen drain. Cost seemed a bit high but we got same day service, maintenance product to keep the drain open, and a clear drain! Rene was professional, on-time and clean. He cleaned the sink and cabinet under the sink when done.

I came home on July 4 after being away a few days and found a pipe had burst on the second floor and water went all the way to the basement. Roto-Rooter was awesome. Tim came out and fixed the plumbing, then Tracy followed up early the next morning and had the restoration services in full swing right away and helped me work with the insurance company. Nathan came back each day to check on the progress of the dry-out. Great service on all counts!

A little pricey but they do great work and are very honest. I had some big problems due to improper winterization. They have been out 3 times because after 1 problem is fixed others present themselves. They should be out on monday to complete this horror show of a job. Started out rough due to a mixup on the time of the appointment (hence four rather than five stars), but once at the house, Paul was excellent. Friendly and professional. After fixing the toilet, he discovered our pressure was too high, which could have destroyed our pipes. He’s coming back to take care of that in a few days. I’m very happy with my service through Roto-Rooter. Ask for Paul. You won’t be disappointed.Addendum to my previous review. I discovered a small leak under the bathroom sink, so I called and asked to schedule with Paul again. The scheduler told me that he would be out the same day between 2-6. At 6, I called to find out what was going on and was told my appointment was actually scheduled for the next day between 3-5. This is the second time I had trouble with scheduling. I don't get the impression the schedulers know what's going on locally. From a customer’s perspective, I’d much rather deal with a local scheduler who knows what is going on. Paul was again excellent. I have no issue with the service itself, but something needs to be done about the scheduling system!

We called at 9:30 pm all other plumber web sites said they were not open, only RotoRooter said they had hours until 11:00 pm. Orlando suggested, if we could wait until morning we could save $$ on an emergency call. We chose to wait. Orlando arrived at 8:15 am, inspected the water heater. He had to purchase a special 50 replacement water heater. He and Ben (#70 and #74) had the tank replaced and the entire area cleaned up by 11:00. They did a great job, cleaned up the work area, you would have never known someone just replaced the water heater. Thanks for a a job well done, courteous behavior, and taking care of our problem in a very timely manor. Hot water is wonderful.

TThe services was good, fast and the plumber was very professional. The only thing I had a problem with is that I think I paid too much for parts and labor but I needed my services done by a professional. The only reason why I feel the parts and labor was to much because I was quote a price which was only for labor and it was not for the parts. I just like to go get my own parts and the reason why I feel this way because 1) I have a home depot and Lowes card and 2) I might have a warrant on my parts. My husband Michael J Davis scheduled the installation of two bathroom faucets using the computer. Received email scheduling the arrival of the technician/plumber in a matter of minutes. Received call stating the plumber would arrive within 30 minutes. Caleb (1401) arrived promptly and provided a written estimate of the cost. Needed new supply lines, and Caleb picked them up and returned to do the installations. He was neat, courteous, and left no mess to clean up. The job was done in a very professional manner. My only complaint is that one pays a bit more for the convenience, but my husband has a broken elbow and couldn't do the job himself.

Steven came out to clear my sink drain. He ran snake through the 30 foot plus long pipe a couple times and then reassessed when it still didn't clear it. After looking at the drain plumbing in the basement he removed the problem pipe and the excessive 90 degree fittings and replaced it. Then he flushed the whole line and it works better than ever. Excellent work for a fair price.

Roto-Rooter was able to come out the same day we called! Rene was great - professional, knowledgeable and on-time. He clearly explained how their service worked and offered service/product options at different price levels. He had our drain open and cleaned the area after he was done - even putting back the throw rugs we use in the kitchen - all in just over an hour from arrival to leaving. Prices seemed a bit high - but a 6mo. warranty makes up for it a bit.

I had a major clog in my house and needed my main sewer line cleared both inside my home and out to the street. Roto Rooter was able to get this job done. Late in the evening the technician was able to arrive at 9 PM and finished at around 11 PM. This allowed me to have this problem addressed immediately and allowed myself and my wife a quick resolution to a serious problem. I also have to say that I am disabled and often times workers don’t take the time to explain, or show what they’re doing before they do it. Brandon, the technician who worked tonight, took the time to make sure that all of my questions were answered and even went as far as to explain how to locate my clean out in case I would need further worked on by either another technician, or someone from the city , I also must say that the price was very fair not only was the price flat rated, which made it easy to understand that no matter what happened I wasn’t going to be charge some thing I couldn’t afford but also the work was warranted and that gave me and my wife peace of mind that in the event that the job Needed to be re-addressed that we had coverage for the time being. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs any emergency plumbing services. They provide very professional service and or affordable. The tech (Cory 1652) was great -- very knowledgable, polite, and even went the extra mile to carry a box from the basement on his way up as he saw that I had been doing the same with other boxes. However if took three attempts of the company to get Cory on site. On the first attempt they arrived after 11pm on a 7pm-9pm time slot, only to not have the equipment for the jetting service I requested. Then cancelled on me the next day. On the flip side, Roto-Rooter did price match a different quote I got. Had I known though, I'd have had the other company just do the work while on site.

This company installed a water heater that failed 2 years and 1 day later. The warranty covered the new tank, but after an entire day of an installer driving all over the place (on our dime of course) and purchasing necessary' parts that just weren't installed last time we've now spent over $2500. I will never use them again, and would have given them zero stars but Google forces you to pick at least 1.

Excellent Service we sold our house and our old water heater did not pass inspection so we needed a professional fast replacement. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had with a home maintenance company.Over the course of a 12 hour day, I was hardly consulted on price, work was done without my approval, and hardware that was working prior to them arriving suddenly stopped working after they began work on the home.They turned what should have been maybe a $1800 job on a bad day into $3500. My original call was about a clogged tub drain, a leaky tub faucet, and a leaky hot water tank. What transpired over the course of 12 HOURS was the most confusing and unnecessary amount of work I've ever experienced.It started off with the hot water tank and the clog as would be expected - I've had a leak in the hot water tank for quite some time - i probably needed a new one, and i knew it. They confirmed (with fear tactics about how my basement could flood at any time), and added it as planned work. I was ambivalent to this but just let it slide - he neither told me the actual price of this kind of work nor gave me options for what kind of hot water tank i would get, but whatever.. this is the least of my concern. The clogged shower was really becoming unwieldy and i hadn't been able to fix it myself. He spoke about how it would be ~$300 to repair this, which was absolutely ridiculous, but i figured... just do it, i'm so sick of it being clogged. Why it costs $300 to run a snake is beyond me, must be there bread and butter, but whatever. The original cost that was given to me was ~$1500, and while i was reluctant, it was work that really did need to be done, and they were there, so i was just like, do it.I knew I was likely already over-paying, but what amounts to maybe a few hundred dollars of over payment was worth the hassle in this situation, for now. While repairing the hot water tank, my kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet suddenly stopped working. Mind you, these were things THAT WERE WORKING BEFORE THEY CAME. He offered to fix this for what i understood to be free of charge as long as i provided hardware. Knowing that i can't really live comfortably without a kitchen sink or bath tub, I reluctantly agreed to this and trekked over to Home Depot to purchase $200 in hardware as recommended by him. So I started the day with working faucets, and now i have no water in the bathroom or kitchen and have already spent $200 on new hardware. Okay.. let's go on.While changing out the faucets, it was also decided that i needed MORE new hardware for the shower - again, for something that was working before they began the day. Okay great.. is this included in the free of charge fixes? It was implied. Was i ever asked if i wanted this done by him or consulted on actual cost? No.By the end of the 12 hour day, he was finally done. Things were working.. thank god. I was exhausted, I just wanted him gone. I hadn't the energy to fight on price or to figure out what just happened.When i got the invoice, it turned out that not only was i being charged for things i was under the impression would be included as they were things that were working prior to them coming, but i was also being charged for work i didn't even know was being done or how much it would cost. The erroneous charges that i received amounted to somewhere around $1500 with an additional $200 of my own money outside of the invoice spent on hardware. Mind you, this was all to REPLACE THE FAUCETS THAT WERE WORKING PRIOR TO THEM COMING OUT.Attempting to at least get some kind of explanations as to costs, when the total came out to $3500 and there were $1500 in part costs, i asked where this number was coming from - the answer i got was well i don't know, i know the first shopping trip was $1200 and the second was around $300. No receipts, nothing.In the end, this was a terrible experience. I'm left with a $3500 bill to pay where over half of it is for work to fix things that were broken by the technician. Costs were not discussed. Acceptance of work was not discussed. Just avoid them.

This is the second time I've used Roto-Rooter this year, for two different reasons. This time the Tech was Caleb #1401. He did a great job, definitely knew what he was doing, and went right to work to solve the problem. Was very pleased with the work he did.The only issue I had with the experience was the scheduling. I called on a Monday evening hoping to have someone over that night. Was told they were booked but could have someone here the next afternoon. Ok no problem, I scheduled it for early the next evening, figuring the tech would be there fairly early. I didn't get a phone call until after 9, and was told no techs were available, and asked if I still needed someone. I said yes, and was told someone would be available soon. The next call came at 10:45 and I was told the tech was still an hour and a half away from being here. So too late at that point. I wasn't available Wednesday so the job had to wait until Thursday. So really my only complaint was having to wait from Monday until Thursday to get someone over here. Glad it wasn't really an urgent problem.

New toilet was quick and a good price

The service provided by Mike, our technician was great. He evaluated the issue and made a good recommendation for next steps. The only challenge was getting the appointment set.

My technician arrived on time, reviewed my problem, which was a recurring blockage due to tree roots in the sanitary sewer line from the house to the city sewer ; then explained the process to resolve the issue using a water jet. He was very thorough and showed me the video images as the work progressed.

I made an appointment with Roto-Rooter, Avon, OH and took the afternoon off of work to accommodate their 4 hour arrival window. They didn’t show!! I got a phone call from the technician 45 minutes after the appointment window stating that he could not make it. Don’t waist your time with this outfit. It’s a shame really - we probably have a simple problem with a valve under the kitchen sink that needs to be fixed now. But, now they will now will also miss out on the replacement of our sump pumps and a major plumbing project in a planned basement renovation. If you find a reliable plumber, treat them well, because most of them are horrible, as in the case of this outfit.

Uneven customer service and work performance. I did a lot of checking behind the technicians to ensure that they did things that were contracted to do/that I was being charged for. When things were pointed out (a few times) they were eventually corrected. Overall I am satisfied with the service but I had to work for it. I still have no idea the total cost of the service provided. If they overcharge me I will back on here lower the stars to one.

Paul was quick to respond and answered all of my questions. He helped me make a well-informed decision without feeling pressured. His communication with me was greatly appreciated. I trusted him to do the best for me and my family. Thank you!

I will always use them for my plumbing needs!The next day after they came out for a free camera scoping!: I WAS completely satisfied with their price and service.And then the 2nd day..... They sent out a tech to video the pipes. It was determined that a section needed to be replaced immediately. I had no choice but to replace, even though they charged nearly 5000 for 2.5 hours of work. They they gave me a bid to replace other potential issues. An extra 5000!!! I said no and found a local plumber who will do the same work for 1800. I will never call Roto Rooter again. I was also charged $395 for a camera scope that I was told by 2 technicians on TWO different days was free, as well as a $495 emergency call out fees which I was never advised of (they quoted me a blanket price before work was done and I didn'tdnt receive a breakdown until AFTER the supervisor was contacted to provide me with a breakdown of their ridiculous charges)

Rene' was professional and courteous, he completed a quality job and maintained a clean area.

Marco was great! We needed someone to fix our leaking faucet and valves after we tried to do it ourself. He got here fast, replaced all the bad parts, and educated us on construction of our house and some future problems to look out for. Would definitely call him again to help out.

The news was not good. Broken tile in front yard needs to be replaced. I dealt with 3 different representatives of Roto-Rooter this morning. My initial contact was with Rene, who was right on time. After he did all he could do to open the drain, he made the contacts with and the arrangements for the remediation team and the camera man to further evaluate my issue, and they arrived in a short period of time. All were very professional, respectful of my property and informative about my issue. Fortunately, I acted in time to pre-empt a much bigger problem that certainly would have developed. Even though the serious work is yet to be done, I am so impressed with the service that I received this morning from all three individuals. I am thankful that they will handle all permits and deal with the insurance company, which will lessen my stress. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter without hesitation.

Well I was expecting a different format for the review. But Tech number 2797 Tim came out inspected the problem. He brought in the big boy drain snake and cleared the line. He had me use water and flush toilets. Everything was fine. Then he demo the way you use drain treatment. And it didn't hurt his name was Tim like mine.

They were amazing. Did not leave until it was all completed even though it was close to 8pm. Super kind, and explained everything along the way. Very fair priced as well!

I called Roto Rooter Cleveland (Naiman Pky location) and Rene (1199) came to save the day when I had a kitchen sink backup, and ended up addressing even more significant problems that I had been trying to ignore. He and another tech, Rich, came several days over a weekend. They worked tirelessly to clear that drain, address leaky and corroded valves and replace my 24 year old hot water heater. I knew there was more to fix with a funky half bath in my basement, and wouldn't want anyone else to address it but them! Thanks so much for treating me kindly and keeping me informed every step of the way.

Had a backup problem in our basement drain, Ted #1700 came out from Roto-Rooter and gave a no nonsense evaluation and proceeded to snake the pipe to the street. Was initially given a 2 hour service window for the morning when I discovered my slow leak had become a big leak overnight. No techs were able to make it out that day. Rating is lower because of the schedule delay. However, Paul (630) was out first thing in the morning on the next day and even suggested a better fix for my issue than what I was expecting. Work was well done and very quick.

We had used Roto-rooter at our previous house so we requested Rene to help us out at our new house. Talk about earning his money, he spent all morning in 90+ heat and got the job done. A satisfied customer again.

The plumber (Dale 2393 and Matt 1862) were amazing! Dale was knowledgeable and helped me pick out a new hot water heater. He explained everything he was going to do and why due to my previous system being 20yrs old.BUT the Customer Service/schedulers were ATROCIOUS and kept changing my time meaning I had to wait 5days even thought I said this was an emergency. And when I would call to get an update after i had waited the 4hrs window that wasn't my appointment they would get annoyed with me, telling me just to wait. When you make an appointment Roto-Rooter you HONOR IT!!!If you can wait then there plumbers are great. if it is an emergency then stay away! Waiting on them caused me more problem with the water damage it caused.

When I called the response time was excellent and the workman was friendly and polite. The job was done quickly and I was very well please with the job. If a I have any other plumbing problems I would certainly call them.

Rene Castro (1199) came to take care of my drain problem. He was very courteous, professional and polite. He explained everything he was doing and pointed out things that he found during the process. He was able to take care of my problem and I feel confident that the problem is fixed and we will not have any further issues. He advised how to use the monthly maintenance product very clearly. Rene is definitely an asset to your organization. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone that had a plumbing issue.

I was very pleased with the service. My only negative was the price of the service. Near $400 for quick drain to be unclogged.

Had a hot water heater break on a Friday, or at least that is when I found it. Called Roto-Rooter that evening and they had someone out the next day at 8 AM. Had a pilot light that was not working on my water heater. My water heater is old but Jamie was able to find a part to fix it. He explained all my options and did an awesome job quickly!! Would not hesitate to have him back to install a new water heater if it ever comes to that!!

I give 5 stars for my technician #1199. Knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. Excellent customer service on his end. My problem was fixed the day he showed up. My only minor complaint is I expected someone to come out the day before as told on the phone and never heard from anyone. Next day my tech shows up out of nowhere and he did great work. Seemed like a miscommunication fail on dispatch or operator. Other than that, high five(stars) to 1199

We had several water leaks happen all at the same time. We called for service and Roto Rooter was the first to respond. Repairs were done by Rene #1199 and Rich #2338, both were very professional and explained every thing thoroughly. After they finished, everything was cleaned up and looked better than before.

These folks have helped me out twice with unclogging the main line in two separate houses. Response time is excellent and pricing is fair. The technicians are professional and I cannot thank Chris enough for opening up the septic tank so he didn't have to bring the machine inside the house I just bought. It took almost 3 hours but we unblocked the line and the issue was resolved. They're never going to leave without fixing the problem and I've been satisfied every time they've helped me out.

Needed help in an emergency, and just to clean out a main drain was quoted $375. Ripoff Rooter! Call Value Rooter instead $250. Still a ripoff, but it was an emergency.

He represented the best of -professionalism; prompt, polite, respectful; following all recommendations re social distancing and honoring our requests in that regard. Then, most importantly, he resolved our -problems and left the work areas spotless. I could not recommend this man more highly!

After dealing with the headache of a flooded basement, we called RotoRooter to help us clean up. They immediately sent someone out to look at things within an hour and set us up with a plan to remedy it. Even though we were one of the many affected by a flash flood in the area, and they were slammed with calls, they took the time to help us out and explain everything. All of the crew they sent over were professional and explained what caused the issue (badly laid sewer line plus major amount of water from torrential downpour). Definitely saving their number for in the future.

Kacey (5811) did a great job fixing our plumbing issue. They had to dig up pipes and replace them. It was a big job and he did great. He also explained everything very patiently to me. He worked nonstop until the job was done. Matt (3281) did very well in helping Kacey. I would trust and recommend both of these guys.

Our experience was a complete disaster! All starting from the initial phone call made to your guys company. I was misrepresented in regards to how the appointment was going to handled by the call rep. Once the technician came out he displayed complete unprofessionalism and intimidation. After previously discussed on the phone our price was extremely high for the minimal work that needed to be done. After calling in to get some clarification the tech began to get upset. We will NEVER give business to this company again, and if asked will have nothing positive to say about this company. If you want a company that will rush in, rush out, over charge, and show complete disrespect and unprofessionalism, choose Roto-Rooter!

We recently had our garbage disposal replaced by Keith. He thoroughly assessed our existing disposal to make sure that it was beyond repair before offering several options for replacement.
