Everything went very well . I was a plumber for 10 years , so I respect the work that the crew did. My only hope is that I did not bother them. I was home all day and wanted to watch the process and learn from it. The crew was very respectful to me and our house/ yard. I would highly recommend Streamline to any of my neighbors. Also I spoke with the City of Oakland inspector . He reassured that this company is a good one.

After being unable to move beyond the inspection stage with 2 other companies, we contacted Streamline. From the very first phone call, I already felt like I had a much better understanding of the whole process. Streamline was able to inspect our sewer lateral within a week, and had it replaced the following week. Our estimate was even lower than the estimate we got from the seller's company. Overall it was an excellent experience and I highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Streamline plumbing! Our service technician, Russell, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to pin point my problem very quickly. I am so thankful he told me Streamline also handles heating and air now, I signed up for the family plan to have our tankless hot water, heating and air systems checked out annually. There are also many other benefits that I was so fortunate to learn about and will be able to take advantage of in the future.
I would highly recommend Streamline for sewer lateral replacements. They completed the job on my rental property promptly and with minimum inconvenience to my tenants. They worked well with CVSan, allowing me to take advantage of their Lateral Replacement Grant Program. Very Pleased.

I hired Streamline to fix our sidewalks (level them out upon new home purchase) and a few months later to upgrade our Sewer Lateral line (to meet EMBUD requirements).
From beginning to end, the experience was really top notch. The estimates were efficiently done, communication with the office (via email and phone) was friendly and responsive, and the work itself was done on time and to standard.
The cost for the sidewalk repair was competitive (cheaper) than 2 others, while the cost for the sewer repair was on the slightly more expensive side compared with the 2 other estimates, but the work was promptly scheduled, done with a really efficient and friendly/respectful crew, and all of the paperwork was completed in time to meet our deadline and for us to get out deposit back from EMBUD.
I would most definitely recommend them to others and to use them again if I needed more work done.

Streamline Plumbing came to our six unit condo gave a quote quickly within an hour of arrival. They showed up one week later and installed a complete trenchless sewer line 100 feet into the city sewer system in eight hours with full certification by the Oakland city sewer inspector. At the end of the eight hours they had already reinstall the replacement cement sidewalks. This company is incredibly effective, knowledgeable, and fast in their process like a well oiled machine. you cannot find a better company to take care of your sewer line needs!

Streamline is extremely professional, completely competent, and, most importantly, isn't trying to take advantage of their clients or potential clients.
I recently got 3 bids for the EBMUD/City of Oakland private sewer lateral requirement for my home. The 2 other plumbing companies (with great online reviews) that gave me quotes claimed that replacing the lower sewer lateral was required - which costs an additional $2K in order to dig up the street to the main sewer line. Greg at Streamline told me that the city had replaced the main 20 years ago and that the lower lateral would pass the air pressure test, ensuring that the lower lateral didn't need to be replaced to meet compliance. Sure enough it did pass the air pressure test and didn't need to be replaced - saving me a lot of money.
Moral of the story: Streamline isn't trying to take advantage of a regulatory requirement by swindling home/business owners into doing more than is necessary simply to make more money. They realize that there's plenty of business out there and as long as they do a good job, their business will grow.
I can't believe how good I feel about spending $5,500 on a sewer line that is out of site, but I truly do because I didn't get taken advantage of.

I used Streamline plumbing to replace the sewer lateral on my commercial building on San Pablo Ave. in Oakland. This was a tricky job because all the undergrounded utilities required hand digging in the sidewalk as well 13ft down in a lane of traffic. All my interactions with Greg, the estimator, and his crew were very professional and the results were more than satisfactory. Streamline plumbing is a well run company and easy to communicate with. I will recommend them to anyone in need of sewer work.

Streamline recently completed our sewer lateral replacement in Castro Valley. Service was great! They came when scheduled, finished on time (early even), scheduled the city inspection, and sent us the certificate a day or so later. No issues, complaints or complications. They were able to do it without destroying our retaining wall against the sidewalk, which was a huge plus. We had several quotes and went with Streamline because they had great reviews online and were the most cost efficient choice. Very happy with our decision!

Streamline did an excellent job of replacing our sewer lateral and the entire old sewer pipe system from our back basement laundry and on to an additional drain for an accessory dwelling unit. The also re-routed the existing sewer around two redwood trees to reduce the possibility of future damages from their root systems. They provided us with two clean outs in addition to the one at the curb. Great people. Responsive to our needs. You can't go wrong hiring them to replace your sewer system.

Streamline so rocks! From April in the office to Cody's estimates to the crew...of nine! I could not have met nicer, more responsive people. I am a real estate agent and was putting a home on the market. The sewer lateral ran out the back of the home where it joined the neighbors line then ran out that backyard to another yard before joined the city main....and goes under brick in 3 places.
The job entailed 3 trucks and a crew of 9 who worked hard and fast over 3 days. The crew could not have been nicer or more respectful of both properties. Result I barely can tell where the work occurred...and this includes the brick work.
Do yourself a favor and just go with Streamline. They know what they are doing, do not overcharge and respect your home. They are true professionals in every sense of the word.
Streamline Plumbing, using trenchless technology just replaced the lateral sewer line on my father's house. They has also done the same for my house in 2016 and my mother-in-laws duplex in Chinatown in 2022. Each property presented extreme problems, 12 feet deep main lines, 100 foot hillside runs, multiple service lines, pulling lines under driveways, stairways and sidewalks. Streamline came with multiple crews with every type of equipment and all the supplies on their trucks. I could go on and on about the good quality of work they did, even as they had to redo work that other companies had performed years ago. The EMBUD and City of Oakland inspectors who came for all 3 jobs all expressed confidence in Streamline and even commented that I had the A Team. Their prices were very competitive. I didn't asked for other quotes just comparing to what local neighbors paid. I would never trust anyone else

Streamline Plumbing helped me get the Oakland Sidewalk Certificate quick and easy. While others try to inflate their estimate, Streamline was reasonable and honest. Will need a sewer lateral work soon and will definitely call them for that.
Streamline has done two jobs for me in the past 6 months. Both jobs were accurately and honestly assessed and done excellently. I don't think you can go wrong here.
I checked out a couple other companies. Greg was the best price and his crew did a quick, clean, trench-less sewer line job for our 1946 cottage rental property. As a real estate investor and manager I deal with a lot of contractors. I have never referred a single contractor in over 20 years.
I will be referring Streamline to everyone in know. These guys are pro's.

Professional workcrew, on-time, within budget. Finished a new trenchless for my house on the same day 8:30-5pm. My exisiting sewage go under another house 100ft long and city main in the middle of busy road. Inspected and leak-proofed by city of Oakland and EBMUD. Sewage downtime about 5 hours. We are very happy with the work.
Streamline Plumbing did the inspection for the Sewer Lateral Certificate in June 2023 and I got the certificate from the city in a few days.

Streamline Plumbing is a top notch operation. With a unique living situation of 3 separate houses on one lot in Oakland they were great in getting our sewer lateral replaced. From April in the office helping us navigate the red tape of EBMud. To the onsite assessment and management by Greg. They were even able to install a drain for me while onsite fixing the sewer.
As for price I would say they were middle of the road. Not the cheapest but far from the most expensive and we are very satisfied with the work they completed and it's certified for 20 years.
Streamline Plumbing is simply great!!! I had wonderful experience with them.
My sewer line was old and filled with tree roots from house all the way to the water main in the middle of the street. No matter what, it's going to be an expense job. I called many plumbers for free inspection and estimate and ended up choosing Streamline Plumbing, because their estimator, Greg, is very professional -- very knowledgeable, very familiar with the neighorhood conditions, straight talk, honest, no hassle, and gave me the best price right then and there. Many other plumbers were not familiar with city and district regulations and dishonest about the permit fees (quoting thousands of dollars, instead of the real amount -- just a few hundred bucks. My advise : check with city to find out the permit fees before calling for estimate, so you'd know who's lying).
Once the contract was signed, the company started permit application right away and began the construction. They did everything their promised with excellent quality and took good care to the property. Later on, they sent me the proof of inspection approval by the district -- very professional.
I couldn't be happier with Streamline Plumbing and felt very lucky I found them. Great service and great price. I strongly recommend it.

We used Streamline Plumbing to do the Oakland sidewalk certification for a house we just purchased (this is now part of the sale process for homes sold after 2019 I believe). Streamline was responsive and prompt in scheduling the work, as well as coming in very competitive in terms of pricing. We sought out quotes from 5 different places for our sewer lateral repair. We were confused why quotes were all over the place - some companies were crazy expensive and others were suspiciously cheap. Streamline's price was very reasonable and the quality of the work for the money was excellent.
Streamline responded promptly every time we contacted them. They finished on time and on budget. We were pretty amazed with the difficulty of the task (the long lateral wrapped all the way around our house and down a large hill), and the team managed to move a lot of dirt and landscaping...and somehow replace it to make it as good as new.
In short, these guys know what they are doing and their prices are fair. Definitely recommend.

Streamline was on time, came with an experienced crew, great equipment and did the job with not a drop of drama. I would recommend them based on the excellent work and fair price.
We had a brand new dishwasher that needed to be installed. We called two other companies to do the install. The other companies refused or wanted to charge an exorbitant amount of money to do the job. I called Streamline. They sent Fred A. Out at 8 am the very next day. Fred did a thorough and professional job and our new dishwasher is installed and working. We are so pleased with his professionalism and confident service. THANK YOU!
Streamline plumbing is exceptionally professional, quick and responsible with their work. After they replaced my main sewer line with a trenchless pipe, which, in itself was amazing, scheduling the inspector to come by just in time and present the work favorably, after that, I had what looked like a leak in the line under the driveway. It didn't seem likely, but they came out to inspect it anyway and discovered a leak in one of the minor lines which they hadn't worked on while they were here. They gave me a very reasonable quote right away and had it repaired that same week. Thank You! I really was happy with the service and the work.
We had a good experience with Streamline plumbing. The staff was very knowledgable in the field. We had to replace the sewer lateral because a municipal agency dug in front of our house and broke the sewer lateral line. We didn't have any idea of how to deal with a situation like this, since we didn't personally know of any plumbers or plumbing companys that can handle a job this size. I have always heard of shady contractors and nightmare stories so I was wary of who we hire for this job. We luckily found Streamline Plumbling and underground construction online. The staff from the business end that sets up the estimate to the crew that installs the pipe is very professional. I was working on the front yard when the crew was Jack hammering apart the asphalt. One of the crew members offered me a pair of disposable ear plugs simce I was around the general area where they were working. That was very thoughful on their end and it shows that the crew cared about safety for themselves as well as for the public. I would highly recommend this company. It is a big outfit that has a family owned business feel.

We live in a 120 year old Victorian that has never had the sewer system replaced. I contacted Streamline and the next day Greg came and not only did he give me an estimate on the spot, he also brought with him detailed information on how trenching is done and explained options which after discussing with him decided to do the whole system. The guys who showed up and discovered our piping was running under our Sun room and suggested an alternative which worked out. They dug a number of holes including digging up our brick patio as well as concrete sidewalk.
They put it all back together as well as some new spots of concrete which works nicely. We were not home but I want to compliment the crew who did this work and thank them for a job well done.

The team was amazing and responsive.
From the get go, they were prompt, and accommodating, doing the estimate without even needing me present. Streamline also worked with the grant department with required managing inspections and the like.
They did hit a slight snag, due to EB Mud not mapping our neighbors waterline. But the crew worked to clean up the mess and coordinate with EB mud to rectify.

I had a broken sewer. They opened, fixed and closed it in 1 day. Both my driveway and the road look very neat. Communication/correspondence was very easy. Scheduling, too. Super fast and amazing job! Highly recommended!
Needed our sewer lateral replaced quickly. Streamline came out within days, extremely professional and prepared. They ran into a few problems but quickly problem solved which cost them more time, labor, but cost didn't change. I'd recommend them for sewer work anytime. Great people, great company.
