Backed up toilet. I told plumber of the line and location. He spent 20 minutes clearing line an I was charged $620! Unbelievable!

Adam came by my house for water being backed up in both bathrooms. He did an excellent job and was easy to talk to. Very high recommendation with this company and Adam went above and beyond for my service. Very happy with it and came to my house quickly. A+++ job. Thanks again Adam

Domingo was great. Our kitchen sink plumbing for disposal and dishwasher was very bad diy. He fixed, replaced & connected disposal and dishwasher lines. I will say it cost us a LOT, so really hope it’s long-lived. Domingo checked all to make sure nothing leaking at end and he cleaned up very well.

JB was fast to responding, very professional and polite. He cleared my pipe quickly, and answered all questions I had for him. I will definitely will call JB for all my plumbing needs in the future.

On Memorial Day Eddie was here within an hour. He is the best!! He treated our home and the issue as if it was his own. He explained everything and extremely patient and kind with all of our worries and questions.

I wish all the workmen I’ve had come where it’s nice as him and did their job that good. Called another company and they keep rescheduling me. I've tried for 3 days to have someone come fix my toilet. Called Roto Rooter and a plumber was dispatched immediately! He was very professional and did a great job. I'll definitely use them again!

The RR tech came out and provided me a quote for work. However, the work they quoted was a flat rate of $250 to clear my building sewer line outside of my house. I knew that wasn’t what I needed done, so I declined the service. I just needed an artichoke stem dislodged from the wye that connects the sink drain and the disposal drain.

Gabriel Rivera came out to my house at about 6:30 on a Sunday (may 22 of 22), and I couldn't have dealt with a more professional individual. Arrived earlier than expected and really cared about the belongings surrounding the work area. If you're in the central valley, definitely request Gabriel Rivera. Cleaned out my main sewage to the city line and knew what needed to be done to get the job completed in a timely matter. All in all the service took about an hour and included was a gallon of a lubricant, enzyme, bacterial treatment for the lines.

We had a flood in the backyard. Instead of using the camera first to see if there was a blockage, they ran the line with water and charged $1600.00. Then ran the camera to see that it was blocked. Problem was never solved and we were out all that money. Totally got ripped off and will never use them or recommend them again!

I was so thrilled to know that I could have someone come out at such short notice and repair and restore underneath my little manufactured home. There was a sewage leak, and they were there to clean it up and restore at all. They did it properly and professionally. I would refer them to anybody.

Eric was great but when he left I opened the pipe shield because the outside of container was gross so I cleaned it up and opened it and it had been opened and used. Never had that happened before and was not happy. I was also told when I called in that a manager would call me and let me know when someone would be coming and that didn’t happened just got a text that someone was on the way. I have always had good service but this time not so good. As I said Eric was great

Roto Rooter was great!Their communication from dispatch/customer service was, friendly, concise, and they checked in before the Tech knocked on the door!The Tech was friendly, neat, and performed professional work!

Not sure why this comes up in Spanish!I hired Roto Rooters Pluming to come checkout my water heater and fix it. They came and tried one time to ignite the water heater then told me this water heater is about 10 years old and they do bot repair older water heaters. They wanted $3600 to install a new water heater. After 2 days of shopping around i found a good replacement for under $2k installed. Made a contract for the work. When they came to checkout the old water heater they told me there is nothing wrong with my old water hearer. They followed the instructions on the water heater and started it without problem. I ended up canceling the contract and save a ton of money. I feel that the Roto Rooter technician was not interested in helping me at all and would have cost me $3600 for a new water heater when i did not need a replacement!! That is not professional at all. I would never use Roto Rooters again!!

He showed up on time and made sure our drain was cleaned and working to our satisfaction. We had tried another company and they were more interested in selling me pipe lining than getting my plumbing to work.

$1800 for a hydro cleaning. Ripoff, more than 3x what anyone else charges. I could buy the equipment for that price. Preformed work without even getting permission from me, the landlord. Never, ever use this company.

My husband mess up the shower pipe and put too much pressure and cracked a very small part, I asked a lot of questions, asked the team to verify exactly where the leak was coming from and they did, to verify if the wall needed to be cut into, and it didn't need to be ..it was easy replacement... Screwed a new pipe in and things were back in order in a short time, and they allowed us to purchase the replacement parts. They didn't use plumbers tape upon installation I noted , but the leak was gone

The plumber cost us $325 to come out and diagnose the problem. Did not fix the issue told me I would have to buy my own parts, and if I wanted it fixed it would be nearly $1000 in total to replace a valve.Plumber did not clean up after himself.

Joe arrived as expected and was considerate, friendly, knowledgeable, followed safety guidelines, and was thoroughly professional. He fixed the problem the same day and answered all my questions. I will be calling him again whenever I need plumbing work.

Martin was very knowledgeable and friendly. the only thing was the cost, which was higher than I expected. but overall a good job.

I called at 11:00pm due to water runing down my light bulb. I didnt think anyone would answer but they did. The nice lady offered to have someone immediately. Charlie was our guy and he was amazing! Super profesional answered all my questions and made sure our home was well taken care of.

They came right away and fix my problem and the best part they give me warranty on the job I very happy with the service

It's been a long time since I've felt so ripped off. I use to work in the trades (as a framer / carpenter) with several licensed general contractors who've hired plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers sub contractors and I have some idea of what compensation professionals get. They're entitled to it.I was shocked to get a bill for $740.00 to repair one broken pipe with a pin hole leak (yes, in a small crawl space beneath the house) and even MORE shocked when they discovered a second pipe, less accessible and they wanted $2,300.00 additional dollars. I agreed to have the first pipe repaired and have subsequently mailed them a check.I called off the second repair (my tenants were without hot water for a week) and I was desperate to get them back online with the plumbing. A local plumber finally came through for me, bypassed both broken pipes (including the Roto-Rooter repair) in an hour and a half and charged me $150.00.I will never, ever use Roto-Rooter again. That kind of rip off of a customer is inexcusable. Shame on me for agreeing to let them do the first repair.I've learned my lesson.

Just had Joe out to my parents place in Temecula and he did an awesome job installing 2 new faucets. The job took longer than he estimated but he didn’t charge any extra. Sinks look great and my parents are very happy!

He did not have the right tool to pull out the Moen cartridge from shower valve enclosing. Only charged for service call which is understandable. Other guys came over thr next day and did it all including new cartridge.

He was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us several options for potential clog clean out. He was honest about the options and we went with his recommendation. He was able to clear the clog and we couldn’t be more thankful. We will definitely use Roto-Rooter again!

I had a clogged bathtub the night before a trip. He came out, fixed it, all good. Nice man, explained everything, worked quickly, even liked my cat. About a year ago a different guy came out to unclog my toilet. Again arrived, fixed, very polite. Even the person on the phone when I made the appointment spoke clearly, answered right away, set it up and texted me when the technician was about to show up. And they come any time 24 7.

If I would've known I woulda just gone to Home Depot and grabbed a 25 footer for $50 and done it myself.. if they're shady about the small stuff then who knows what else they're shady about.. The sink did drain when he left. He told us this would not be a permanent solution as there were years of grease build up in the drain. I asked that he write this in his report so we could let our property managers know the situation and not be at blame. He said it would be on the receipt that was emailed to us in 4 days, and it was not. We spent $375 for a service that was not completed in my opinion. My drain will work for a month with only water running down the kitchen sink and I have no paperwork to show the real problem. All for the price of $375.

My Techs name was Don Christian! He was very professional there was an issue with my property management and payment and even though it was late he stayed until we could work through all the red tape and get him payed and then he did a fantastic job got everything running the way it should... If his boss see's this he should get a raise! Thank you Don! You saved the day!

Outstanding service from the dispatcher all the way through to the technician who cleared our drains. They were very prompt, professional, efficient. However, price was outrageous at $850 for about one hour to work to snake our easy to access drain on a Sunday before 7 PM.

Very good work, but super expensive. Ryan Hormel is an excellent plumber. I'd use the company again if I could be sure they'd send him.

My double kitchen sink was backed up over Thanksgiving. I was desperate to get the blockage cleared as I had already worked on it for three hours trying to clear it myself the night before. Aaron came in and knew exactly what to do. Within an hour he had cleared the blockage and explained it all. I throughly recommend this company, their rates are reasonable and they are true to their word available 24/7 even on holidays

Their technicians are not professional and unable to diagnose a problem. They keep milking you for $$$ to test this and that because they simply don’t know what to do.

The technician was eager to try possible fixes. However, it seemed like he was trying to sell the most expensive fix (to cut a hole in the tile shower wall to change the valve). After $700 in service charges, my shower faucet was still leaking. Luckily, my friend recommended another plumbing firm whose solution was easier (access the valve through the drywall) and much cheaper. Not likely to be using Roto-Rooter again.

My plumbing started backing up and I called roto rooter and they were great!! They are a bit pricey but they were able to come out, assess, and repair within 24 hours. All of the technicians were professional but Isiah S. was amazing!! That guy worked his tail off and stayed after hours to get most of the work done. I rarely give 5 stars because nothing is perfect but I’m definitely giving 5 stars because Isaiah work ethic, professionalism, honesty, and integrity! He’s very deserving of these 5 stars! Thanks!!

My technician was amazing. He came and I hadn’t slept for quite awhile and he waited for 30 minutes to do my service. He fixed it quickly and was so nice and told me a way to help make sure it doesn’t happen again. You should definitely call them. If I could give him 10 stars I would. He was so pleasant to work with.

I will never do business with this company they sent a shiesty individual over here to my house who tried to hustle me all I needed was to snake drain my sink and that man said $350 without even looking at anything that I had going on and I was like no that's a little high and then he attempted to walk away and turned around and said well the lowest I can go is 325 so now I'm like what this man trying to hustle me for extra $25 what I even knowing what the situation was or even looking at the situation so I ended up going to a whole another company called rotor hero who only charged me $77 so anyone who's reading this review please go to rotor hero don't go to Roto-Rooter they're just going to send a scam artist to your house

Technicians came out same day. My water softner was not working and leaking pretty bad. They tried to fix but it was too old. Purchased a new one and they installed it. Looks great. Very kind, responsive, and professional techs. Thank you

This review is for the Monterey County division. We needed emergency response due to a bathtub/shower valve failure that was causing water to leak from the 2nd floor down to the 1st floor bathroom. Of the four companies I called, Roto-Rooter was the only one who could come same day, everyone else was next day. Within an hour, technician Joe Diaz arrived and traced the leak. Soon after that, project manager Reuben Vega arrived. He quickly got back to me with an estimate for the repair. Soon after approving the repair estimate, I got a call from restoration technician Andrew Hyde. We discussed options for the dry out of the 1st floor ceiling. That dry out is happening as I type this. I couldn't have asked for a more prompt turnkey solution to our problem. The water was leaking into my elderly father's bathroom and was a hazard since he uses a walker. Both the upstairs & downstairs bathrooms were out of commission. So these guys really helped get everything back in place for the comfort of my father. I also really appreciated the constant communication with all these guys via phone calls, texts and emails.

We got a same day appointment for an estimate to replace all 6 toilets' in our suite. Once approved they scheduled within a few days, worked with our busy schedule and were able to complete within 4 hours. The staff was professional and left everything clean when done. We are very happy with their services.

Stephen did a great job on repairs for each of my bathrooms. I had very calcified stubborn pipes with out of control leaks and a couple required replacements. Very professional, quick and informative about what can be done. Definitely knowledgeable about everything I asked and helped me understand what the issues were. Would highly recommend.

Hello. This is the first time using your services. I find you unprofessional and your pricing predatory!I manage several properties and this is the first time that I get quotes over $300 for the use of and electric snake as indicated by the technician, even before starting the process.

I call this place because I thought it would be more reasonably priced than the contractor grade ones. There was no time frame provided for when a technician would be at the house. I was just given that I would hear from someone in the morning, but never heard back and I had to call back and pressed for a possible time frame. I asked several times if there were any idea of price range or quote and said nothing would be given, despite having a very obvious problem that can be resolved with a snake. The technician came in and literally glanced under the sink and said the cost. He did nothing else. It felt like the strategy of this company is to get the technician here and then the consumer would feel pressure to use the service. His quote was$100 more than a five-star rated company that we usually used. Again we only selected this company because we saw the ad saying it was cheaper. There was even a coupon that was not honored. The technician said I got the wrong. I got this off their website from Yelp I called the number on Yelp which might have been the wrong number listed for the wrong company. I've even messaged about the coupon when getting the quote to the company on Yelp. I am currently on the computer right now there is a coupon for $40 off any plumbing or drain cleaning service, which the guy claims there were none. He didn't seem interested in making a sale or maybe was just hoping to make extra money? Thankfully I was able to get a confirmation from the person I called the second time that the quote is free and they will be no service fee for the technician to be on site. I went ahead and refused service and use a different company that has a five-star rating. Ended up paying $100 less.

Was quoted 1800.00 to unblock the sewer line!!The line was unblocked with simple cabling!! A person of his experience should have known it would not take 1800.00 to do this simple job.2. Did not replace the cover on drain towards the front of the house. He took it off and should have put it back on. It was left open for someone to come along and step in it or worse.3. I was told that no warranty could be extended on his work. That is strange!! The problem was roots. Seems to me the work could have been guaranteed for at least 10-15 days. Roots don't grow that fast.4. I asked service person to scope the drain so I could see what the problem was first. Initially he told me he could not scope before he cleared the drain. What good would that do me in my quest to understand what the persistent problem is that requires cabling the line every 1-2 years. Then he said it could be done but would cost 475.00 on top of the 375.00 for cabling.Im very dissatisfiedDoris Morgan

Charged me an insane price to spend 5min cleaning my drain. Didnt use a snake, didnt give me any information of what was wrong with my property. Very unprofessional experience. I will never use Roto-Rooter again and will voice my opinion as such.

To call our technician, Carl, top notch would not do him justice, He came to my job to work on a root in the line and went above and beyond the call of duty. He was gracious enough to stay on site while management was contacted for approvals. He went through a list of possible ways to fix the problem before continuing on to more invasive procedures. I would highly recommend this company. When I called for service the dispatcher was able to promptly get me service to address our issue.

I have a tree whose roots clog my pipes almost anually. I called Roto-Rooter and they had a technician out in 10 minutes! Darren, who has serviced this same situation for us some years prior, always eases the tension of the situation with his easy going nature and his extensive knowledge. He is a valuable asset and q shining beacon for the brand!!

They are the most expensive plumbing company. If you can go somewhere else, I would. Also, they only provide waranty for 90 days.

Joshua came to snake our kitchen drain and was very professional and easy to talk to. He was in and out in under 2 hrs and made sure everything was flowing fine before packing up and leaving. Would Definitely call them again for any plumbing emergencies.

There are two reasons I contacted Rotor Rooter, 1= name recognition 2= a professional to change two under sink L stop compression valves to avoid leaks had I decided to do it myself. The tech was professional and fast (15 minutes). However $375.00 USD for 15 minutes work, well the short polite story is, I WILL NEVER CONTACT YOUR COMPANY AGAIN FOR WORK OR SUGGEST YOU TO ANY OF MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS…

I had no issues whatsoever with the technician, he was very nice and helpful.
But they wanted 4k to install my water heater.
I understand it was a late night and distance service call, but 4k is extremely unreasonable.

Said they said they would be back with the camera to look in the pipe to make sure there’s nothing causing the blockage, but he was very professional and so was the other fellows followed up checking for moisture in the wall.

They acted quickly, were very respectful of our property, very knowledgeable and talked through the options available. The work was done and we were up send running right away! Overall great service, we would do business with them again!

They were able to come within an hour of calling with our concern. They explained the issue, fixed the issue and checked out the pipes for our home to give us peace of mind that we have no other hidden problems waiting to be discovered. Everyone has been professional and conscientious to clean up before they leave. Since they had to go under the house from inside, not leaving a trail of dirt has been much appreciated. Our issue took time to fix, but communication was constant so we never had any questions regarding progress or the process.

We were in a bind. Scheduled to leave town on Tuesday, a leak developed on Sunday under the sink. Problem was the cold water connection to the kitchen faucet. We were grateful to have the technician come out. He determined the fitting could not be repaired. So we bought a new kitchen faucet and it was installed on Monday. We were pleased with the results but unhappy about being charged $450 to do the work. The replacement took just under an hour.Yes it was a weekend. Yes it was an emergency. Other referrals could not get to us until Wednesday. I know I was overcharged, but there were no options.

Arturo was very professional, courteous, and kept me updated as to what was wrong with our pipes. Would definitely recommend their services.

Called 7am on a Saturday for an pvc pipe repair, they made the appointment for 3pm. 4pm comes and goes and still no call or plumber. I call, they say new appointment window 7pm-9pm. 10pm comes and goes and still no plumber or call. Sunday comes and goes with zero communication from Roto-Rooter. Roto-Rooter didn't show up until 2 days later at 11:30am on MONDAY. No call/text/email to let me know someone was coming by. I shut the door on the guy, no way can I trust a company who can't keep their own appointments or even make a simple phone call. I will never use this business, never recommend this business and will actively discourage anyone from using Roto-Rooter in the future. I called their competitor and the pipe was repaired in 2 hours.

Martin R. worked tirelessly to restore plumbing to my house after a pipe broke in the backyard. Although the operation took several days to complete due to severity of the problem, he was there from start to finish to ensure that the issue was resolved to my complete satisfaction. He and everyone else who helped with the project displayed the utmost professionalism and made sure to keep me in the loop at every turn.

When the tech came out and saw some obstacles in the way of getting to where the work needed to be done he kinda got a little bit of a attitude. It also felt like after that the bid was way to much for the little bit of work that needed to be done. That is why I called another company and they did the same job for $200 less than what you over priced bid was I will not recommend your company to anyone that I know as I felt like you charge to take advantage of people when they really need your help.

Our Roto router repair man unclogged our master bathroom toilet at 12:30 in the morning. Don was very professional and resolved the problem within 10 minutes of arriving at the house. Their line broke in my sewer (unheard of) the repairman had to leave to retrieve other parts to get his line out of my sewer before he could complete the job, and when he was finished he charged me for the time it took him to take out his broken line out of my sewer plus repair of the sewer. I was charged for an hour and a half for time, for the actual job taking less than 1 hour.The repairman was a complete gentleman, but Roto-Rooter work ethics are another issue altogether.

The guys were great, clear explanation of what they were doing.

My guy shows up in the middle of the night on time thank you, however he tells me I need to replace my entire water heater and it was gonna cost me three grand. My warranty company sends out a different technician and they tell me my burners out and that’s the only part that needs to be replace. Even checked to see if I still had a manufacture warranty just in case. My guy that showed up in the middle of the night didn’t do any of that and cost me 80 bucks for five minutes of his time. And he probably spent another 10 minutes writing up a three grand proposal.

I got scammed by these guys for a $2800 clean out replacement when all I needed was a clean out of a backed up toilet.They initiated clearing the blockage from the exterior cleanout rather then going thru the toilet as all past roto rooter callouts had done in the past. They then informed me that the blockage was at the cleanout-- suggesting an $1800 blowout but could not guarentee it would clear the problem, or they could replace the cleanout piping for $2800. The workers told me that these old cast iron cleanouts get rusted inside causing items to get stuck like in my case.After they cut out the so-called problem cast iron pipe, i obsrved no obstructions and barely any rust let alone anything that flushed material would get hooked on! And that is when I realized they had cleared the obstructipn before doing the replacement. Oh the guys were nice and polite, but they both were on the scam as they both lied straight to my face! Go elsewhere-- they took advantage of an elderly man. They will scam you in believing you need more expensive work than is necessary! My downfall was that I had already signed the contract to replace, and only realized the truth AFTER they cut it out.HappyThanksgiving-- may I offer a piece of advice-- read reviews before calling these guys in North Natomas or actually any service outfit. I wished I had, as there was a very negative review where someone else got taken for over $13000! They prey on the elderly and folks who don't understand plumbing and who go with the recommendation of the professionals. Yeah, Professional Pumber Scammers -- PPS!I hope my review helps someone else from not getting scammed. I'm sure they get bonuses for the extra work! Leak in pipe under house. So, we live in a 81 year old house. We suddenly discovered a leak under the house. The team from RRP came out and fixed the leaking pipe. Carl Threets was very professional, Scott Jaekel was also extremely professional. We appreciate the work both men performed on our old house. Because we were in an emergency situation to get the leak repaired we paid an absorbent amount of money for the repair which literally cleaned out our excess funds. As two retired seniors we do feel a little taken advantage of. So we cannot afford to have anymore work performed by your company.

On a weekend that I was not in town, one of my rental called me because water was gushing out from under the sink. The tenants are senior citizens are were tot capable of shutting of the water from the main nor from under the sink. Rapid Rooter was able to get a technician out ON A WEEKEND in about an hour. I had tried other companies and the soonest one offered was 3-4 hours. So the FAST response was truly appreciated.

The only thing good about Roto Rooter is Eric. $325 just to show up? Ridiculous. A licensed plumber's minimum is $125. I would never do business with Roto Rooter.

Keith King was very professional and fast. Although the night rates are very, very expensive, sometimes you do what you gotta do. Overall great experience, repairs were done fast, correctly and with demonstrated experience.

The gentleman came out and replaced our water heater. He was professional and wore a mask at all times for everyone’s protection. He was punctual. We did have to call him back an hour and a half after the job was done because the water pressure wasn’t working properly. He came back and fixed it due to the the old pipes residue that built up. He was upset with himself that he didn’t check that before he left which showed his dedication to his own work ethics. When he fixed it he made our water pressure quality 10 times better than before. For that we give him a 5 star.

The choice of a replacement faucet was great based in availability. Ryan completely accomplished the task and checked it out before leaving. He cleaned up afterwards and offered a return in there may be any problems which he almost guaranteed would not happen. I was not happy with the cost of labor. $250/hour is much more than I wanted to spend and did not expect to pay almost $700 to fix a leak in my sink

Job was an outside House to City connection DRAIN UNCLOG.Plumber CHARLES BOGGS was a 12 out of 10 Dispatch staff could have been 90% BETTER in making efforts to keep the customer Updated...Initial call for Service was made @11:53 AM .... Advised I would be contacted as to When to expect a Technician... NO Contact UNTIL I called @ 1:35 PM and was told (Again) the DISPATCHER would call me to update me ...... Nothing .... Called Again @ 2:40 PM and was advised that they had called earlier but NO CALL WAS RECEIVED @ ANY of the THREE (3) Numbers provided. @ about 3:08 PM received a call to ask me IF I WAS GOING TO BE HOME ? I Reminded them I HAD BEEN HOME ALL DAY since the initial call @11:53 AM WAITING... Yes I would be home... Shortly after I received a TEXT to advise me of WHO and WHEN the plumber would arrive.He was late due to accident but did arrive just before 4:00 PM...Did a Great job Charles Boggs was Friendly.. EFFICIENT and did a Professional job.

We woke up to a flooded house and they had a technician to our house in less than an hour and a half. He was polite, respectful, professional, and worked quickly. I highly recommend their service!

Service is very fast and responsive, everything is very transparent. We had a clog somewhere in the sewer line we could not fix. Our technician Robert was very communicative and upfront. He told us exactly what he would charge for the service right away and that we have a warranty in case this clogs up in the next 30 days again. It’s a pricy business ( that’s why I only give them 4 stars) for sure, however you do pay for professionalism and reliability.

My water heater stopped working. It stopped making hot water. When I called Roto Rooter, they were available to look at my water heater on the same day. That was a plus for me. When they got there, the technician assessed and found nothing wrong and that the pilot light just blew out from that wind storm we had. I was very appreciative how honest they are. When they left, they told me that it is up and running again. Thank you Roto Rooter for your help. They showed up on time but came unprepared for the task at hand, also they are way overpriced. Needless to say we did not use their services.

There “up front” pricing holds you hostage to use this company. Just to come out it’s $375 which will be applied to the work, so if you don’t go with them your out $375. When the problem was diagnosed I got a quote of $610, just to replace the garbage disposal. When I asked why so high, the technician was all over the place on pricing and never explained why so high. Then I spoke with the manager, even worse. Still was not able to fully answer my questions. I had a $75 coupon, which they said they applied but only applied $40. Very dishonest, overpriced company. I would never recommend or use them again. I will see how they itemize my bill if they ever send one.

Although he could not help me with a solution immediately, he gave me some great ideas to move forward with and I have already implemented them. Great experience with two guys showing up before the plumber to make sure they did not detect any damage from the leaking toilet. Plumber was helpful when talking to him. We did not accept the estimate because it was much higher than another company we have worked with in the past that is not available for another two weeks, which we felt we could wait for.

They came same day and assessed our problem with the pilot light. They determined they couldn’t fix it, and gave helpful recommendations for what our next options were. They didn’t charge us for the initial inspection, which we were grateful for!

I called in the morning to scheduled a visit an in less than an hour, Miguel, the technician was knocking at my door. He was very kind and professional and gave me different options. He really solved my problem. Everything was installed and working the same day. They even offered me a financing option. I would highly recommend the company. Both Miguel and Jose solved my problem. Happy with the work they did.

Although they were not able to clear my lines today, I have a much better idea of what needs to be done. Everyone was very helpful. Don'te was very nice and did his best to get to the bottom of the problem. More work needed on my end to complete the project.

My 1st quote Roto-Rooter) The two techs that came out were very friendly and professional. No complaints with their demeanor. Problem I have is what they quoted me to fix what turned out to be a very simple fix. My water heater was leaking at the cold water inlet (where the copper flex-line from wall screws into the top of heater). The tech quoted me $550 to $600 !! I said “Thank you very much, but nope”. My 2nd quote) The plumber quoted $240. My 3rd quote) Neighbor who’s a handyman, said the flex-line was really loose. He tightened it … no leaking. He said $50 and were even.

We had a leak at the base of our toilet when flushed. I went to RR online and booked with the appointment time slots. Next day I spoke to a rep who confirmed my time slot…only to later be told by someone else that the reason NOBODY showed up was because it’s based on whoever is available for the day and that they will call you whenever they are on the way.I had to reschedule so that I could be home ALL DAY. When they did arrive we were told that because there was no evidence at the moment of a leak (no visible water) to wait until it happens again and call to have somebody come back. A complete waste of my time!The toilet continued to leak. I ended up calling a local plumber and he showed up at the preferred time and fixed the problem in 30min (with out the visible leak.)

We had all of our pipes back up at the same time on a Saturday evening. We called around to different plumbers but either couldn't reach anyone, or they weren't available until Monday at the earliest. I found Roto-Rooter and was able to speak with a customer service agent who got us on the schedule for Sunday.On Sunday morning we called to get a time frame and received a quick callback from a dispatcher letting us know that a technician should be out in the early afternoon. Shortly before noon, I received a text notification that Parker was on the way!When Parker arrived he quickly determined that our clean out probably needed attention and he provided the price. He did a good job, and was friendly, personable, and honest. A great employee! We felt really comfortable with him. We didn't have a chance to compare prices, but the $ 275 charged for the work, perhaps is on the higher end, but it did not seem unreasonable, especially considering it was Sunday.This business seems to have a really good organization in place, from the first call to finish.Highly recommend!

Anyone reading this don’t use this company. We had a simple sewage clog while I was out of town. They quoted my wife $2000, luckily for us she turned them down. We had The Trenchless company come out and within 30 minutes the clog was cleared. Total bill was $99. The technician even used a camera to show us the clog and compliment us on the quality of our pipes. No doubt roto rooter was trying to take advantage of the situation.

I’ve seen the other reviews about price and in my case, the value was good. They cleared my kitchen main line and it took 15 minutes in total. Not sure about their other services but if you have really basic fixes I would have them check it out. The assessments are free.

Alexis was able to schedule Eric to come to our house later the same day to fix a clogged drain. Eric was courteous and effective!

I called on Sat evening because shower would not shut off. Called because of 24 hr service. After 1.5 hrs received call from Tech around 9PM saying he would only be able to shut off water to house, not able to do anything else that night. So that was helpful as we agreed not to have him come out and this saved me the $79 night fee. Next morning I was scheduled early and tech arrived around 9am. Disappointed that he came right in without putting on shoe protector and walked on carpet and floor with wet boots as it had been raining. Quoted $700+ to replace cartridge and over $2000 to also replace valve. These prices are way too high. Called another, local plumber who came out and fixed the problem at half the price. Replacing the valves was NOT needed.

Did a great job! Technician said that he would get here at 8:30 am and didn’t show up till 10 am, but for time management and installation, they did great! Very pleased with services rendered.

I am so happy I called them to handle my main sewer line backing up. I have to do this like every 6 months, but this time it was so bad because I wasn't on top of it. After going without water or flushing, my house was a disaster of dishes and raw sewage smell outside. Tara called to confirm my appt - she had a great personality and positive demeanor. Denai came to inspect and explain possible issues structurally but did not push a bunch of products or services on me like I expected. He was thorough and answered all my questions all within 10 min. The real man if the hour was the tech, Varday! Varday was personable, professional, and so amazing. He was so knowledgeable, and he made me feel very comfortable. He had the problem fixed and gave me some tips for going forward for prevention, without trying to charge me a ton of extra money or push services I don't need. I'd recommend him, and this company to anyone. The price was reasonable, and the problem was solved in less than an hour. He left it nice and clean too. Thanks guys!

We are extremely happy with the pipe replacement he did, as well as, the bathtub faucet replacement. He had to cut an opening in our hall closet to get to the pipes. He made sure the opening was as small as possible and was neatly done. He also cleaned up the area after he was done. Very polite young man. I highly recommend his services.

Unbelievably expensive. Will not use again unless there's an emergency. Daniel was terrific, but the company needs to rethink their prices. About 15 minutes work to get a glass particle out of garbage disposal was $345.00

Garbage disposal replacement….. Technician was great! Very polite and got the job done in less the 30 mins. Unfortunately I will never use roto-rooter again. I will pay for good service but the cost was so over priced and I didn’t realize till they already started replacing my disposal.I was charge almost 4x what other companies charge for the same service. Part $140(before markup) and $3** per hour for labor. Total just under $900 to replace a garbage disposal and 30 mins of labor.

I told a customer rep that I had a pool leak so they sent out a specialist. Unfortunately, the repairman said they were unable to fix the issue. It was unfortunate to schedule an appointment for a service that they can't complete. It seems like that could have been avoided with communication between the customer rep and the technician. However, they don't charge anything for the initial inspection.

Awesome service, very quick and detailed. Technician named Dario B. came out in less than 1 hour and was very professional. He's very knowledgeable and showed me where the clog is. He was able to allow me to help and get it done in a few mins. Good job Dario, this company is lucky to have a technician like Dario.

Flooding, on Black Sunday night, who ya gonna call? We tried a local plumber first but he was frantic with calls and recommended we call RotoRooter. We did. Tammy answered, promised a tech within an hour; 59 minutes later we called and Brandy assured us that he was minutes away. Steve Pacheco emailed us two minutes later and then arrived. Steve was courteous and professional. We were his last call of a very busy day but he was enthusiastic and ready to work. We were soon relieved after Steve's assessment of the problem. He recommended a follow-up visit the next day to address it, and then reserved the date and time on the spot. The next day, Steve and Jordan arrived at the promised time and the work was done to our satisfaction and for the exact price quoted. We will call RR first next time and would welcome Steve and Jordan back!

Scheduled on the website to have someone to come out to fix an issue with one of the toilet in the house. They came out on the same day and had it fixed within the hour.

We were very pleased with the services provided by Roto-Rooter technician Darren Brown. In addition to arriving in a timely manner, he was very professional and after examining our system explained thoroughly what the problem was in our outdoor pipe that was causing the back up. He proceeded to clear the pipe using professional-grade plumbing equipment he brought with him. He completed the job to our satisfaction in a timely manner. He took the time to make sure the entire system was in good working order. We appreciated Darren’s expert work and highly recommend both him and Roto-Rooter for your plumbing needs. The office staff was also very good and provided excellent customer service.

A trenchless sewer installation utilizing resin liner technology was completed for approximately thirty feet in my front lawn.The crew did an excellent job and kept me informed about what they were doing and the progess. One appointment needed to be rescheduled as another job reportedly ran over time and I wasn't given a itemized accounting of services and materials, only a final cost. Overall, satisfied with their professionalism and work.

Needed service after hours for water coming up through all tub and shower drains. Our technician, David, arrived quickly and knew exactly what he was doing. Very polite. Very knowledgeable. Got the job done quickly... even at 10pm!

Didn’t realize this would be outsourced. Nice guy, but $375 is WAY too much to snake a drain, when my regular guy is $75. We were left with no solution and no diagnosis, only a hefty bill and extremely high quote for someone to come back out to diagnose. $75 guy came the next day, troubleshot it and was able to diagnose within 20 minutes.

My name is Ron. I bought a new washer and dryer, but the installation could not be done because the hot and cold water conditions needed to be replaced. After Calling Roto-Rooter an appointment was setup for the next day. Christian Torres and his supervisor Jonathan Annis assets the situation and gave a price for the work that needed to be done. I would have to say that these two gentlemen are the most perfessional people that I have tealt with. Christian did the installation with speed and perfection. They were able to see us within 24 hours. They came an hour later than their scheduled window and I had to cal for an update but not too bad. Plumber was nice and identified the potential problem. They did seem to want to reschedule for the more expensive camera service but were willing to try the snake first which ended up working perfectly for our clogged drain. All in all problem was solved in about an hour. Thank you.

Tried to use the business. Called them, they said a dispatcher would call me. No one called for three hours and I had sewage coming out on my driveway. I called them back and they said someone had been really busy and would send someone out. I called Sacramento sewage dept and they sent a guy out in an hour. The sewage guy arrived right after router rooter and fixed the problem accidentally. Router rooter guy was pleasant about it but they could have made their 375 fee if they had shown up earlier.

Ariel Hernandez came by, he did such a great job. I only have one bathroom, so you were a Christmas miracle. He was quick and very friendly, thank you Ariel for such a great job! I recommended you to many of my friends and family!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the response time and quality of work they did. Our technician was Michael. He was very professional and quick to determine what the problem was (a missing gasket). They didn't even charge me and fixed the leak in 10 minutes. The office staff was great and upfront. The text notifications were accurate. The technician was professional. I called the office the next morning to receive the estimate. It was a lump sum amount with a single line description. Eric did review the overall workscope with me. I decided to get a second assessment. Another plumber resolved the issue @5% (95% lower in cost) than the RR estimate.

I got helped by Alejandro , He was at my house 10 minutes before our agreed appointment, he was very friendly and informative. Two men were sent out to evaluate the problem and give me an estimate on what it would cost to fix it. One bathroom was clogged up. They said that the only way to fix the problem would be to jet blast from the roof, which would cost around $1,800!!! 😂🤣 I then called Auburn Plumbing who sent one man and he got the job done in less time than it took for Roto Rooter to evaluate the problem! It was a simple job that didn't require going on the roof! Bad business when the customer is only a $$.

We had a toilet leaking around the base and thought that it needed a new wax seal. The Roto Rooter plumber came, assessed the situation and diagnosed the problem within just a few minutes. NOT the wax seal. An internal part had worn through causing the water on the floor. He had the part we needed, and the issue was fixed in a matter of minutes. Great service, will definitely call on them again when we need a plumber!

Technician was professional and quick. Fixed an incredibly stupid problem with courtesy and aplomb. The price was a bit much, but company kept me well-informed of when the technician was on his way and didn't charge me extra for a Sunday emergency. Will definitely be keeping their number.

This is the first time I used Roto Rooter. Excellent customer service. Fixed the problem with a root on a septic tank valve. A little pricey but worth it.

We had new countertops and sinks installed in our Bathrooms by a company that does not actually connect the plumbing. After several days of trying to make the connections for the three sinks and drains, I called Roto-Rooter.Although the sinks were tightened, the drains leaked from the top of the drain pipes. Roto Rooter has sent plumbers out three times to stop the leaks under their warranty, working to solve our problem. Two of the three sinks no longer leak. They will be out later this week to make adjustments to stop the last sink under their warranty.They really stand behind their work.

I opted for the cable, no camera option, what we received was camera , no cable. I was told the camera revealed that we didn't need any cable work.I can't help but feel that if the cost of the cable service is $375 and the cost of the camera and cable service is $485, a difference of $110, and I'm being told that my pipes are in good condition and don't need cabling, that I should not be charged $375.I understand needing to be charged for showing up; why there needed to be two people, I do not know.What I do know is that they missed an opportunity to gain a loyal customer. A customer with a nearly 100 yr old house, that will most definitely need much more worthwhile, expensive services in the future.From a business perspective, I think this decision would be found lacking, it left both me and my wife with a sour experience.

I called Roto Rooter to fix a leak and they didn't even send a plumber until two salesman showed up to my door convincing me that my floor was really badly damaged and I need water restoration. Do not believe anything they have to say unless your house is literally under water. They will try to convince you to get insurance involved which includes LYING, with promises that insurance will cover the costs and maybe even a remodel! When you ask them about how much it will be for this water restoration service they avoid a direct answer and try to continue reinsuring you that insurance will defiantly take care of it and even if they don't they would never charge you as much as they would the insurance.When I finally got a plumber to show up he said that the project manager, which I called the salesman priced everything to low and he was not going to do the job. Regardless of what happened in my situation I would advise you to steer clear of this company and try another, as their pricing is very high and not worth it.

I'm posting this review for a neighbor who had some work done with Sacramento Roto Rooter. He has ADHD among other things & he doesn't know how to go about doing business with companies. I won't put his name here, since it's public, but you should be able to figure it out with the review.About 6 months ago he called Sacramento Roto Rooter to come unplug his bathtub while he was at work. Everything else was working fine, just the tub was plugged up. He's on a septic system & they told him he needed to reline the pipe. He had no idea what they were talking about. They lied to him & said they fixed 140 feet, but they only fixed 35 feet. We know this because my husband worked his way up the pipe, from the leach field, with a tractor, & there was nothing wrong with any of the lines & they had not sealed it. This, to me was a scam. All that was wrong was the drain plug was in the wrong position. It was a new house to him, so he hadn't figured that out. This cost him $10,000, when it should have been the cost of a service call. I think he deserves his money back.

Well run company. Kept us informed of the timeline as to when technician will show up, even when our service call was after 7pm. Our technician Fabian was very professional. Not only did he do a good job fixing the problem but he also took the time explaining what happened so we have more peace of mind. After the fix, he also gave us time to test out various usage situations. Definitely recommend them.

Carl was the technician that replaced a 40 year old rusting iron clean out pipe. It was rusting to the point that paper was getting caught inside the pipe and backing up the system. He removed concrete, dirt and the old pipe. Replaced old pipe with new ABS clean-out pipe, replaced the dirt and also did a great job on the new concrete. Thx Carl.

Bathroom toilet not flushing.. $85.00 for part and $325 per hour.. a total of $411 for 30 minutes.. they could not justify the hourly price.. will not call them again or recommend them..

Do not recommend. Rather than repairing, technician wanted to sell us a new water heater with excuse that parts were no longer obtainable. We already diagnosed the issue as faulty pilot light assembly before he arrived. He said, even if the parts were found, installation cost was going to be upwards of $600 plus parts. He insisted we replace the water heater. After he left, we went online and easily found the parts and replaced the parts ourselves. Oh, BTW, another reputable plumber was going to replace the pilot light assembly at less than half the quote of Rooter-Rooter. We do not recommend Rooter-Rooter with this experience.

Have nothing but good things to say about Roto-Rooter plumbing! Was very impressed with Parker, the young man who came out. He was friendly, very personable and knowledgeable. He surveyed the situation and explained what needed to be done. It turned out that I needed to replace just a very inexpensive part, which I did not need a plumber to do. He was honest and upfront about this and therefore saved me a lot of money.

Was surprised at how expensive the cost was, almost double what I had imagined. Still waiting on the invoice via email; the work was done two days ago. If I need this work done again, I will definitely shop around!

We moved into our new home and our toilets were not working. Roto-Rooter responded to our online request within 10 minutes and had someone out to us within an hour. The problem was solved the same day and followed up with a camera inspection a few days later to ensure the line was clear. We are very grateful!

This plumbing company will scam you. They will overcharged you for everything. They quoted 1550 for a replacement for a main water value then it turn into 1950 becauseit was quoted wrong. And afterwards I come to find out that the normal price of replacement for the main value from everyone else is 500 to 800 dollars.... These guys don't deserve to be in business if they overcharged just because they can. The plumbers are friendly but not for 3x to 4x the price.

So... Roto-Rooter saved my day and I am very impressed. The technician was very nice and kind. His name is Donte C. and he showed up promptly and immediately got to the point. His time here was extremely important and I must admit, a little embarrassing for me. Only due to the fact that Donte directly noticed my goof. The wind had blown out the pilot light on the hot water tank outside a few nights ago, so I relit it to warm the house back up and continued my way back inside to relight the furnace pilot, thinking my job was complete. Donte provided the correct answer by noting that in all my efforts for heat inside, I had stopped short of turning up the temperature gauge on the outside. It controls not only the furnace heat, bit also the hot water. Duh!!! Well thanks to Donte's quick thinking professional ability, we now have hot water again. Thanks Donte. My family gives you a 10 star review and to Roto-Rooter, that's a keeper you have in your technician Donte. He needs a raise in our opinion. Thanks again

My dog broke my above ground water main coming into my house where the pvc/copper junction is and they quoted me 4200 dollars to fix it. I looked over at the truck because that number felt so off I thought I was being scammed. It said roto rooter but it might as well of said scam artist.The next company I called charged me 120 and I gave them 100 dollar tip because I thought the correct price was in the 2-300 dollar range. It took less than an hour for the repair.Don't use these guys. Get a second quote.

The water heater for our business broke, which would cause an impact to the services we could offer. I called them at 3am, and scheduled an appointment first thing in the morning. They had somebody on route before they even opened at 8am. Robert G was the technician and he worked straight on through until he got us up and running with a new water heater. He helped search for the main valve to turn off the water when we couldnt find it, and was a very professional and skilled technician. I appreciate their service and for having our business back up the same day I called.

My sewer backed up on a Sunday. Clean out was done then and would return on Monday to finish putting in a new clean out pipe.Thought estimate was too high but agreed to service. On Monday was late getting here and unresponsive on phone calls. After complaining job was reduced by $500. Job finished in evening instead of morning but forgot drain cleaning product. Took 6 more calls leaving messages to get product after I finally talked with branch manager. Brought wrong product so another phone call needed. Then bill was wrong and the $500 was not credited. 2 more phone calls and credit was given a month later.After seeing the amount of hours put in I still believe job was over priced. Would not use again.

Our tech was great! I'm sure he would have done the job very, very well! ...Had the estimate not been $1,100 to remove the toilet and auger the drain... We rented a drain auger from home Depot and a toilet setting kit for $100 total. We can do it ourselves, but wanted to enjoy holiday days off. Not worth $1,100!

$350 for toilet unclogging. The actual plumber was great, but the management was bad. They took 3 hours to dispatch a person. The call person didn’t even know where their person was; they told me it would take 1 hour when the guy was only 5 minute away.

I had to call another place to fix my problem.

I needed a garbage disposal installed and specifically asked if the plumber that showed up would be able to provide a disposal and I was told emphatically yes. The plumber showed up and stated that it was my responsibility to purchase the disposal and have it available. In addition, the installation cost would be $1200. I do not blame the plumber that showed up. However I am extremely disappointed in the information that was provided to me by Roto Rooter. In addition to the lack of clarity and truthfulness, I was charged $80 for the plumber to show up at tell me this information.

This had to be one of the most difficult repairs they’ve had to do. There were 3 different blockages and a crumbling 60 year old cast iron sewer/drain under a slab. Using all of the hi tech equipment including cameras, Picote machine , hydro excavator, and finally trench-less equipment for the under slab part, they fixed everything! Basically a new drain/waste/sewer system. Good communication. Extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and much more than competent. Very grateful! Strongly recommend!!!.

When David showed up he was professional, straightforward, and respectful. I would absolutely suggest to use their services for any of your plumbing issues!!

I was charged $350 for Carl to spin his auger around my toilet and tell me it was stuck and to purchase a new toilet so he could install it , which brought the charge up to $475. Carl said he would be back at 8:30am the following day to install, so I went out and bought a toilet the same evening. Carl did not return and I only received further service from another rep after reaching out multiple times for help. Thanks Carl!

$325 for snaking to unclog a sink drain is comical. Just buy the automatic tool from Harbor Freight and do it yourself. You'll end up with the job done for a fraction of the price, plus the tool to keep. Good luck!

I had to call 4 times from 130 to 6 pm to find out when they were going to arrive everytime I called was informed the technician would call shortly and never did Until 630. Understandable though since it was Christmas Eve. Butt not knowing time of arrival for over 5 hours. And consistently calling to get told the same thing with no update was a little frustrating. Will definitely use them again. If needed

Travis was great! He told me right up front what he recommended and how much each of his recommendations would cost. It turned out he didn't need to do as much as what he quoted so he took that off of my total and I was able to purchase preventative products instead. When he left everything was clean and tidy. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

Total $375 ripoff for a 5 minute snake job in a garage clean out that should only cost $150. The guys were polite as I complained and told them that I have used hundreds of plumbers over 40 years and have never been so screwed on the cost of snaking a drain. I only did it because there is a 91 year old couple renting the unit that needed the toilet fixed tonight. They also wanted $375 to replace the wax ring on the toilet that they said was leaking. I said leave since I can't afford paying that for a $6 wax ring and 15 minutes of work from you guys. Never would I use them again or recommend them. Total snake job.

I now have no back ups, free running and draining water and use of the washing machine with no restrictions. The repair men were super courteous and thoughtful. They unplugged the outdoor landscape drains so that they were able to accommodate water flowing into the draining system. They recommend corrective measures to keep the drain clean. Arrived on time and finished within the projected time

The sink was clogged, water backup in the tub and base of the toilet leaking. They unclogged everything and put new stripping around the base of the toilet. They cleaned everything up after they completed the job. He did an A+ job. I have always used Roto-Rooter and I have always been completely satisfied with their work and their employees.

They got my backyard drains working again, cleared out lots of debris and even a dead rat with their high pressure hydro-blaster. They used a camera to diagnose some underground drain pipe damage, too. So I was pleased that they were able to locate the problem without having to dig up all the hard scape to find it, and get it draining again.Though the service and professionalism was great, the price was steep! That said, I was informed of the price before any work was started, so I did have the option to go another route.

Professional staff, they informed me of the possible problem and gave me quote for the repair. 2 technicians showed up in less than a hour from my call for service. Both technicians were respectful easy going good people. The job was done quick without a mess. The price is a bit high but with that service it was worth it. Thank you guys!! Service with a smile

Great people. This is my second time with their company. Terry scheduler communitaces well and provided great explanations on the process and cost of water heater replacement. Les the installer did an excellent job and was very professional and friendly. Justin( not sure of the name) who did the initial inspection as well was very professional and friendly. Price was fair and competitive.I would have given them a 5 star but had some issues with regards to my inquiries on the inspection which was immediately resolved by Adam and Sonia.I would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended.

The technicians were polite, professional and hardworking. They were able to solve a very complicated plumbing problem and did major work on my house (with plumbing from 1957). I was very satisfied with their service and would use them again.

Way over priced, $500 for 30 minutes of work is outrageous, even if it is after hours. In the past this same work from a different company was less than $200, I could not get the previous company out on the date I needed the work done. Never again will I use Rotor Rooter, this company taking advantage of customers in need.

I had water leak from the base of the toilet initially and called this company, had a guy come and check it out and I ended up paying around $350. The problem literally came back after a week and half so I called them again, plumber came out and said your water supply valve is at fault and to repair it that will cost me $700, seriously $700, then I was told that it will be discounted to $300. After the plumber fixed the toilet seat, the valve install was literally a 5 minute job. A day later water started leaking from the base of the toilet again. So I ended up paying $600 for a problem that never got fixed, and for a toilet base to be fixed. Will call them tomorrow to see what they say. Taking advantage of customers and gouging money out of them is not an ethical practice.

The repairman that came out to fix a leaky faucet which led to a flooded kitchen was wonderful. He was here within 45 minutes. He was very courteous. The rental co wasn't going to fix the problem until next week, but this young man said no, you can't go for days unable to use your faucet and kitchen sink. He was awesome.

It was not a good experience. I had contacted the County inspector 3 Feb and was told the problem was from the Easy out to the street and I showed the Tech the paper. That the house flushed but came up in the Easy out. As he was working on the Tech said I have a big Problem, Roots in the line. As he worked he asked me to turn on all water in the house, And they backed up and I turned them off. When he finished He said to run the snake from the kitchen out would be $170. That he had to clean out the plumbing. I discussed that the house flushed before he. started . I felt like years ago when an issue was to get more work. I provided rags to clean up the floor. A lot of talk about a Problem, that was not there but developed during the clean out.

Clyde did a great job at explaining to me what I was looking at with the camera and what my options were to fix the problems. If all your employees were like these two, you've done a great job of hiring and training.

The technician Moe He was really good he was responsive on time did everything write or a mask very clean very clean very neat they didn't even tell me how much the bill was or nothing when he told For him to be here less than 30 minutes was $475 It was after hours but there's still no need to gouge people in a time like this I should listen to all the other reviews. Please people do not use their service they will break your bank when you're in need they're about the dollar not about the people. Let me say one more time the technician was perfect awesome personality great person when above and beyond the help He showed me step-by-step all it was was a washer and a back that fell out with a screw I could turn the water off outside took it off put it back on until I could get a new one. Do not use the service super expensive.

One week later toilet leaking again… Scheduled 3- THREE times to have them fix - NO SHOW every time. Called dispatch over and over they said Manager would call back - Never heard from them. Disputing charges with my CC. Save yourself time & frustration- do not use this service.

Had a backed up drain I could not clear myself. Resorted to calling Roto-Rooter at 2:00 AM Sunday (23 JAN 2023) as they were one the few plumbing companies open on Sundays. Despite how early I called they were still inundated with other appointments.Called Roto-Rooter back at 11:30 AM to confirm my appointment was still confirmed and had to get a callback from Amanda. I explained to her my situation and she said she'd send the first available technician to my location, but cautioned that there is a fee for sending a technician after-hours to which I agreed given my situation. Amanda managed to send a technician (Ariel) to my location (roughly 14 hours from the time I called). DO NOT interpret this response time as a detriment because as I mentioned above Roto-Rooter is one of very few plumbing companies open on Sundays.Ariel, was courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He was adept at explaining in layman's terms on how a household drainage system worked and cautioned against unprofessional methods of clearing a drain as those may radically increase the cost of repair. Furthermore, when we could not initially locate the main line drain access he was able to immediately suggest methods of finding the blockage and the costs involved. Luckily we were able to finally locate the main line access.Thank you, Amanda and Ariel, you put an end to my nightmare weekend.

After coming out to clear my front irrigation, they had me convinced I had a leak under my home. I spent the day in duress until I got another plumber out here and discovered a leak in the sprinkler system. They estimated thousands of dollars for the repair and said I was lucky they were their to help me. The repair was a $25 part and an hour of time on behalf of the other (reputable) plumber. Avoid Roto-Rooter at all cost...unless cost is what your wanting !!!

Michael was here at our business in under 30 mins of my call on a busy holiday. Extremely knowledgeable and fast service. I will recommend them to anyone after our experience using their plumber yesterday.

I felt they were both trying to get over on us. The first guy quoted anywhere from 500-2500 and advised us he will not do anything through the toilet and “you can find someone who will but I’m not” and when the next guy came out he was stating anywhere from 750-5000 without either one looking into anything. They were not concerned about what the issues of the house was, just on how much they where going to make from the job. I literally asked the 2nd plumber where do they get pricing from because it was soooo different from the first guy. (BOTH FROM ROTO ROOTER). Again, neither looked into anything. They heard what was going on and prices quoted. It was a bit bullying and I did not like it at all. Other plumbing companies will at least look to see what’s going on and then price quote. And that’s what I found after.

The technician showed and explained everything done and needed along with the price. The project manager showed up and showed issues that may require another action - grinding the pipe to make it smooth and remove rust.

Richard and Eric where both fantastic in helping fix our water heater leak and helping clean up the water damage from it! Eric was quick to respond and gave me some advice for the future. Richard was very professional and explained every step of the way in a thorough easy to understand manner!

Rick just completed video inspection - super professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He called to let me know what time he would arrive and did arrive right on time. He went right to work - even though it was almost 100 degrees outside, he was positive and upbeat about his job. Great asset to the Roto Rooter team. Chadd C did a great job identifying the true cause of my water leak from a broken fridge line saving me who knows how many thousands of dollars in repairs had it actually been my PEX pipes behind my wall that were leaking. The team performing the demo of the water damaged areas has been doing a great job and are a fun group.

A technician (Dan) responded to a plugged backyard drainage issue within a couple hours. He quickly realized the grate was completely full of debris and roots. Since the drain was in hoa common area he referred me contact them and did not charge me for the call. Very nice of him and nice guy.

We had a backed up sewer that occurred on a Saturday. A plumber was at our house within a couple of hours and promptly took care of the problem, which took about 30 minutes. While we appreciated the prompt service, we felt the price of $435 was excessive.

Team member came out and was very professional and knowledgeable.I have used the service several times for different issues, the staff are polite and knowledgeable. Only downside is the price, quite expensive clogged drain estimate 355 minimum to 1800 max. depending on service.

It was a Saturday and we discovered a leak in the house. Roto was the only one we could get to come that day. They were there within the hour. The worker was fery nice and found the leak fast. Then he went to his van and called the main office for pricing the job.This is where we got the really bad news. We were over a barrel for help. Six grandkids there and needing the water fixed. We were ask to pay $2,200 before anything would be done. It was a pipe that needed spliced. 2 to 3 hour job. It took over six hours because of problrms with their van while going to get the parts.We felt taken advantage of under the circumstance, but what could be done unless we waited until the next week with the water off. When the worker left I noticed the bag he had purchased had lots of extra fittings that were not used, and they were not left. No itemized invoice was recieved.This was at our home.Thanks for getting it fixed for us.

Found a great efficient alternative at a different company which included a smud rebate of $3000 and we had everything installed next day for only $2400!

Very quick to respond to a request on a clogged drain. Got it unclogged very quickly and then was able to show the issue to a camera in the pipe and the guys were very helpful and explained everything.

The technician arrived on time and was super friendly. That's where the positive events stopped. I needed a simple drain clean out and was quoted 695.00 dollars for the first hour and 300 an hour after that if the job should go longer. 700 dollars for a simple snake down the pipe is astrologicaly excessive. I went with a local reputable plumber who did the job for 150. Their pricing is beyond ridiculous.

First., called the general number....asked how much for a clean out of my sewer line. Said she can't give me an answer until they come out. Fine, used you guys last time., thought it would be similar in price. I would not have had you guys out if I knew it was $400 for 5 minutes of your time. I was floored at my price I was quoted for a simple router of my pipe. Literally took 5 minutes from start to finish., I even told the tech what needed to be done. Tech was nice, but I don't think really took enough time to clean the pipe thorough enough, (probably cause it was end of day)...one time in and out was all he did...never put my electrical cord back or put the cap back on the stand pipe or shut the back gate. Will think twice about using them again!

The service was good once our plumber arrived. My non-emergency appointment was scheduled for the Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving. I didn't hear from them by 4:30 so I called. The lady said I was still scheduled and she would contact dispatch to see what happened. Again no one followed up but I did receive an automated text Thursday evening. Evidently I was rescheduled for an appointment some unknown time Friday.TL;DR - scheduling and communication was lacking but service was fine

U asked for my experience with Roto Rooter. I am 76 and have been hearing your radio commercials all my life. RR is a giant in the drain cleaning business without a doubt. Maybe it is because people are desperate if they can't flush their toilet. And they will pay an exorbitant fee if they don't feel they have any other choice or don't realize they are being ripped off big time.Yesterday David came to my house and without examining my sink and tub drain gave me an estimate of $1800.00 to jet clean my pipes, use a video camera and throw in a 1 year warranty. I bought the house in 2018 and this is the first time any drains have run slow. So it is highly doubtful they would clog up again in just 1 year. So much for the warranty. He was going to use my clean out to jet the pipes free of obstructions. Without even looking under my sink at the P Trap and trying to clean it along with removing the stopper assembly and cleaning it also. There are so many businesses that take advantage of the public like this that the phrase Let the buyer beware is true even more than it was when first stated so long ago.If all businesses operated like Les Schwab Tires,customers like me would not be taken advantage of. Les Schwab gives more service to each and every customer than they pay for. No wonder they are so successful. They don't have to run specials like the plumbing companies to drum up business. They have customers like me for life and our loyalty to Les Schwab is undying.Costco is another tremendously successful business. No one has a money back guarantee like Costco and gives as much value to the customer.You are your reputation!

I had them come out to remove a bathroom vanity and disconnect the water lined as I couldn't get them loose. He got there and did not unscrew the lines but cut them off and cremped them to the right of the valves and charged $375. Now I have no water or no way but to tear out the wall to redo the plumbing and reconnect everything so it works again.This was the biggest rip off in all of my home improvements in my life.Thanks for nothing.

The service gentleman was great, professional and friendly. I just wish that Roto-Rooter itself had better communication about my appointment status. Also the pricing was a lot higher than I thought. I expected about 250-300 for a clogged toilet and also a reseal on another toilet.

Rotorooter was able to fit me in shortly after I called in my leak. They sent me notifications for confirmation and ETA. The plumbers were thorough and quickly identified the source of the leak.

I explained my issues with Monica but I was sent a plumber that didn’t work on propane pressure testing or fixing gas line leaks? A waste of my time.

My toilet would not flush and Chris from RotoRooter cane out in an orderly time frame and was very professional during the time of repairs. I would definitely recommend RotoRooter to anyone in need of a plumber.

Technician Was very professional and got out here same day, but the estimate was outrageous. I was quoted 2,800 dollars for a pipe repair that I had already dug up and exposed. I needed to be somewhere that day so was willing to pay to have it done until I saw the quote. I ended up doing the repair myself. Took three hours, including the drive for parts and installation. 26.00 dollars in parts. I’ll never bother calling Roto Rooter ever again. V/R

Answered all my questions. Fixed the issues and made sure everything was well throughout the hose. John B. was my lifeline over the phone both days and was so patient and kind with my concerns. Monday RR was scheduled to come out in the morning to deliver some drain service fluid. Late in the morning I get a call that RR was out of stock and RR would call back when they had more. Tuesday I get a call that RR tech is at my house with the product however I am out with my wife having lunch at a local restaurant. We worked it out and everything is good.

Nicole and her team were incredible (Idyllwild)! They were communicative, professional and went above and beyond! I was more than impressed. They didn’t overcharge or even recommend services that weren’t necessary, I was pleasantly surprised start to finish!!

I was so impressed by their professionalism and punctuality. The did an excellent job on the water cleanup. The roto rooter guy came out to our home for all of maybe 15 minutes and diagnosed a $3800 estimate!! I didn’t know the guy I as at my home because he never knocked on the door. I only knew he was there because I happen to call and the operator said he was at my home and had been there for 15 minutes. She then tells me there’s an estimate ready that she can email me. I was shocked that he came up with this bogus estimate without ever looking at the actual leak. I know it’s bogus because I called out another plumbing company who said he’d have to drain the pool of water over the meter to see where the leak was coming from before he could give me an estimate. Did the roto rooter guy do that? No. He simply drove up and dropped a general price on me. What if I was an elderly person and trusted him as a professional!! Sad. Not even professional enough to go to the door and knock. My husband was home waiting on him.

My family of five were moving into our home from out of town and they were bringing a larger and newer refrigerator with them.While removing our smaller and newer refrigerator, we noticed the the valve in the back of the older refrigerator started to leak very small amounts of water. I called Rotor Rooter and several hours later a plumbing technician came to replace the valve.The technician searched for the valve in his truck, but was unable to locate it. He said he knew he had one, but couldn't locate it. He said if he couldn't find it, he would buy one from Home Depot for $20.About 15 minutes later, I informed the technician that I was scheduled to have an MRI at the hospital and needed to leave. I told him that I had given my debit card to my wife and she would pay for the cost incurred. I asked how much was it going to cost and I was told $375. Although astonished at the high cost, I agreed to pay the $375.Once I returned home, I was told by my wife that the technician found the part in his truck and completed the job in less than 15 minutes.I was really upset at the cost of the service and wrote to Roto Rooter of my displeasure. If anyone wants to get ripped off, Roto Rooter is the company to call. $375 for less than an hour of work and a $20 part.

My wife called to acquire a price to installed a cooler, fix a toilet, and check the problem with the dishwasher. The estimate was to free. The fellow charged me $325 and all he did was freed up the garbage disposal and could not give me an estimate. He arrived 4 hours later than stated. I ended up paying $275 as he gave me a coupon I never saw after I complained. They falsified the statement to my wife they would provide a free estimate on the spot. I would never call this company for any reason.

We had a kitchen sink get backed up pretty bad. Darren was fantastic. He showed up on time, had a great personality and talked with us through the entire process. I highly recommend him to my friends and family.

Parker was very friendly and professional. He called to let me know when he would be arriving and showed up when he said he would. He examined my problem, recommended a solution, and gave me a quote. When he returned the next day to perform the work he made sure the job was done correctly. I would ask for Parker again if I have any other plumbing issues.

They attempted to unclog my sewer line and couldn’t, so they sent a camera down and thought my pipe had collapsed. After digging it up it wasn’t collapsed, they just didn’t make the correct turn in a pipe intersection, so I paid for nothing. Pipe still clogged, they never followed up or came back to actually fix the issue and I found someone else 1/4 the price to do it right.

Thought I had an outside leak but turned out my neighbor left her water on and the excess water was on my property. I was not charged.

I called at 10:00pm and got the 24 hour number. They said someone would be calling me with an eta in a few minutes. I called back 45 minutes later and oh no-one called. Let me put it through again. No one ever called. When I called the next morning, they said it must have been someone else. No it wasn't. It was the number on the website. Not only that, 9:30am this morning I got a call from a Root Rooter plumber saying he was at the location. When I called I got oh they are a franchise, not our problem!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!

Overall okay. Initial appointment with Isaiah was good; however I had to call several times to determine if the next crew was schedule to come out only to find out they were not. Not proactive and keeping we update on changes. I needed you more than you needed me. Paid a great deal of money for fix based on diagnosis of problem. Also Isiah said project manager would send warranty and I have not seen it. Now I will have to now audit that. I have a sick family member I care fore and caregiver don't need more tasks.

These guys get an extra star solely because they gave us a free consultation and because the workers that came out seemed pretty cool. Other than that the prices are way too unreasonable. I'm not sure if they tried to upcharge us because we are newer homeowners or because we look younger... but we got multiple estimates and the next most expensive one was $10,000 cheaper. AGAIN TEN THOUSAND!!! Unfortunately we aren't from money like that so I don't know who they are servicing that can afford to pay prices like that. Do your due diligence.

I called the San Fernando Valley number & was transferred to the Lancaster area franchise Linda who assisted my initial call. (Maurice) Tilden arrived super quick, despite only calling 2 hrs prior, and was covid safe upon arrival. He diagnosed the issue in 5 mns & got straight to work. For an emergency call, the price was ok considering he had the blockage removed in about 45 mns, since it was so far down, & they showed up so quickly. Pleased with his politeness, service and happy I can use my sink again.

I called due to having my septic system not flowing out to the leech field to drain. I had the septic system pumped prior to Roto Rooter showing up, with the intent of them scoping the system and possibly hydrojetting the system if needed.When the second individual arrived with the appropriate tool (scope), I was charged about 500 dollars to scope my pipes, to assess the issue. However, there were enough roots in front of the leech field drain pipes, that they couldn’t pass the scope. They attempted for all of 30 seconds poking the roots with the scope, with no attempt of removing roots at all. I’m frustrated by their lack of effort to complete their task, yet still charge the 500 to “scope.” After they left, I used subpar garden tools to remove enough of the roots, to comfortably pass my hose to assess the drainage. Removing the roots took all of 5 minutes, 5 minutes that Roto Rooter did not take to try and complete their task.The individuals who showed up were kind and punctual, but the lack of effort was frustrating.

Bad experience and expensive because Tech could not find the problem . He made holes in my wall then left. Over charged for what he did not fix the issue. Promised me to come back the next day with his boss along with video tool to find the problem, and they never show up.

Tony was very professional and helpful for the inspection of my leaking toilet. After 1mn of checking he found out right away where the issue was. I will definitely recommend them.

Plumber couldn’t resolve the issue. Seemed unwilling or not wanting to eliminate other potential causes of the issue. Company did a port job of dispatching tech to my house, he was supposed to be here between 9-1000. I had to call and the company dispatched the tech to my house after 1000. As mentioned, couldn’t resolve issue, seemed to lack basic pluming experience and then called his manager who suggested that we utilize high pressure to clear the potential issue and then camera the pipes for an additional cost of $2200. All and all not impressed and the issue wasn’t plumbing issue was not resolved.

2 stars for coming out the same day (Monday). Technician took some photos and left without much for us to go on. We didn’t receive an estimate until Wednesday afternoon. It was really unfortunate since it was a line repair that needed to be taken care of asap. When asked on the phone when we might get an estimate, was told it could be “a few days” which in truth doesn’t help the customer figure out what to do. Do we wait? Should we continue looking? Ended up going through another company who came out, quoted at visit, and scheduled for repair immediately. Wish it was more clear so customers had some idea on what to do. Hard to be left in the wind.

Fernando came out on a Sunday evening and Holliday (Jan 1st) to clear a plugged sewage line. He ran the Snake for almost 4 hours and finally got the plug. He was on time, courteous and professional. Thanks Fernando & Roto Rooter!!!

I was quite impressed with professionalism of both Don and LT who worked on my sewer problem. Also they tolerated my constant questions about the job and what was wrong etc. I'll call again if need be.

We had a water leak in our bathroom over Easter weekend. In order to stop the leak, we had to shut off water to our home.I called Roto Rooter to come out and replace my angle valve. The part was already off the water line (compression fitting included). The plumber was in my house all of 15 minutes…he just had to screw the new part on.They proceeded to charge me $450 because that’s what I “agreed” to. I agreed to that number not knowing what work needed to be done. The guy was talking about soldering a pipe, potentially cutting a hole in the wall, etc. which he didn’t have to do. He replaced an angle valve. An angle valve might cost all of $15.It took four days to have anyone return my call. The guy justified his pricing by saying it cost him $100 to drive to my house, he had to pay worker’s compensation to plumber among other absurd claims. I pay worker’s comp as well, it isn’t overly expensive.I would not recommend this company in the slightest. Find someone else, maybe a local small business.

The tech sent out was nice and polite. He was unable to clear my clogged pipe, though. Was not willing to remove the toilet and send the snake down the main sewer pipe. He called his office. Then said they advised me to put in a 2and clear out ... for $2600 bucks!! Outrageous price. If he had been able to clear the line it would have been $275. I called another business and had it fixed the next day. Their prices were less than half than Roto-Rooter. They even cleaned my tub before they left!

The company sets rates that are excessively high during holidays because they know they can get it. The plumbers they are hire are great. I won’t use Roto Rooter unless it’s an emergency because they charge more than anyone else. So, during a lifetime, Roto Rooter gets big paydays for small amounts of work for holidays and no other work from me.

Roto Rooter couldn't fix the clog, but Juan & Matt worked very hard at trying to do so! Those two guys were wonderful !!They did located the clog, with their camera (VERY PRICEY !!) & our regular plumbers came the next day and resolved the problem.I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RECEIPT. Which would be much appreciated.

Very nice and experienced technician. Cleared my clogged drain and discussed cause/effect of what happened. He did not clean up the mess he made on my kitchen floor. Red clay dirt from the equipment and nasty drain sludge was left behind for me to clean up. For $325 to clear a drain (took about 15 mins), I believe it's important to clean up the mess.

They would not give me an estimate over the phone for unclogging a bathroom sink. Waited two days for the appointment. Was told someone would be there around 9. Technician did not arrive until 11:30. Technician walked in looked at the sink and said it would be around $300 to unclog it and $150 for the second sink. Technician was polite but that is too much for unclogging a sink. Had it done by someone else.

Run away from Roto-Rooter! Carl came out same day I called had a pretty good size commercial project and shared plans for accurate pricing. Carl, however did not do the work for us, and sent other techs to jobsite including a project manager. We were initially happy with pricing and we were told quote had been provided according to plan. Then the price increased to double, and I was told that we had to tell them what we wanted, when we hired them as the professionals and provide three different technicians including project manager. Project Manager Lizandro or LJ as he prefers admitted not quoting according to plan, and now expected us to pay. The branch manager was even worst I thought he would work with us, I even offered to pay for any additional materials. And stressed out how I shouldn't be held liable for the miss quoting of his professionals. Ultimately, we were asked to call someone else, which was completely irresponsible and unprofessional!

While I cannot comment on the quality of the finished product since it is still a work in progress, so far I have been very pleased by the professionalism and responsiveness of the entire team. I mainly have worked with Eduardo and he is just great. I suffered water damage and they have come out when promised to dehumidify the areas that have been affected. They answer their phones promptly and they are friendly and professional, as well as knowledgeable. While I don't like the circumstances around the situation, I am very happy I contacted them. I will update this review when the job is finished.

Your representative is an honest man and did the job well. He did what he has supposed to do first, listening to me leading to this problem, and did try the basic procedure which is kind of him and my problem is solved temporarily for now because the whole thing really needs change. I need to contact my landlord if he would agree to pay for those. All in all this guy is an A+ to your company. He is really good. I thank him and your company for your excellent service. Never on time, they can be 5 minutes away for 45 minutes or plain not show without explanation. They do not give timeframes for arrival most of the time, you could be waiting for them all day. Asked and was told i would get camera footage from their pipe camera to show me issues, never got; asked for written explainer of issues from project manager, was told it would be done, never got. Tried to charge me 6500 for repairs that were free under city responsibility, for a different repair they said they'd charge me 1500 for a water line repair if it didn't take them too long, or 1800 if it proved difficult; it's a repair anyone can do for $40 but had them do it as wanted the warranty on the job. Had already dug up and exposed the entire pipe for them, took them all of 10 minutes of actual work and about 90 minutes of trips to home depot as he got the wrong item first time for repair. Still charged me 1800... So to recap, will either waste much or all of your day, if they show at all, will promise things they'll never do, lie to your face and charge you as much as they possibly can, possibly even for things they know you can get done for free by city. Don't ever use these people, ever

Josh King was professional when he arrived. There was a problem with getting him dispatched. He received the initial info about my job, but then waited over two hours to be dispatched. There was some sort of communication problem between himself and the dispatch person. Josh did a great job!

I am satisfied with the work done by your employees. They were courteous and easy to talk to. I wonder why the high pressure water jet wasn't brought out to job site in the morning, since they can't use a snake.

Called for backup drains. After 3 days of visits. Finally they sent a septic pumping company and we spent $700 all together. They first $350 just to try to run a snake through the shower 5 minutes tops. Paid cash and never got a receipt. When we asked they said they would apply to work completed today ( cameras etc) but the tech never even came back with the septic company. They told us it would be first thing this morning and they didn't show until after 3pm. Will never use Roto again. Very disappointing. But they seemed nice?

All the guys in the team were very friendly. They move quick and are in and out. In our case we have old plumbing. We had the first guy Shawn come out and take a look. He said we would need a camera guy to come out. Camera guy John I think came out and said we would need the pipes to be jetted which was $1800. We had them do that and the pipes are actually draining perfectly now. He said we would need a total sewage line redone because the jetting did not work, and the Cost for that would be $27,800. Wasn’t too sure about that price but we plan to add on to our house so maybe down the line when we do that we will get a second opinion and go from there. It sounds quite expensive to be honest. In total we were charged for $2,250 for the camera, toilet seat removal, and the jetting. I’m sure we paid for labor in there as well. The one thing I’m not liking is that I did not receive an invoice for what I paid for or a layout of the costs. After I paid they said they will email the invoice in two days...shouldn’t that be before you pay? I’m also pretty sure Shawn the first guy, told us that if we got anything else done the camera cost which was $498 would be removed, which it wasn’t I know because the jetting was $1800 and I paid $2250. I think their costs are very high for asking us to pay 28,000. The invoice for this estimate did not even break down the costs. They were very friendly and hard workers for sure but I feel like maybe they thought we were a young couple and they could get over on us.. I probably won’t use them again due to the nature of not getting an invoice or a breakdown of expenses before hand. But I cannot complain much due to our lines are now working fine and there is no longer a backup when we are running all of our appliances and shower. I would probably go with a small business next time and pay a family $2,250 rather than a corporation.

I had a sewer line clogged and called Roto-Rooter after checking with a local plumber, who said it would be 2 days(!). Person on the phone (Sonia?) was professional and nice, and got back to me fast with an accurate time estimate. Jalen showed up an hour later and was great - assessed the problem and had it fixed in 20 minutes, and was a fun guy to talk to. Definitely satisfied with the experience.

I called on Monday 21Feb for an estimate they scheduled me for Tuesday 22Feb the next day. I asked if they had anything today the 21st and i was told no they did not. They showed up on Monday the 21st, the day i called and was told they were booked. HummmmWhen I emailed questions about the job NO ONE replied back to me. I guess they didn't want the job

He is very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He made sure everything was in working order before he left and no mess was left behind. Next time I will call Roto-Rooter first!

I was pleased. Just like they advertise they do free inspections/estimates. I have a home warranty, but that company couldn’t come out before Tuesday. I was prepared to pay today. The plumber who came out diagnosed my issue and stated I would need a new faucet. Had I had one on hand I would have paid for him to install it, but instead I thanked him for his time and offered to pay, but he reminded me that the estimate was free and left. Not sure how much longer I’m gonna keep this home warranty because I can’t choose who I want to provide service, and I don’t like the idea of having to wait 3 to 4 days to get help. I’ll just call Roto-Rooter back if necessary. I don’t do shade tree mechanics or handyman any longer. Those repairs never hold up and my faucet has been replaced more than once.

The technician arrived and without a mask. The job was to install 2 new (kitchen/bathroom) faucets. He had to go outside to his van and call someone before providing an estimate. He came back with a quote of $700.00. He didn't breakdown the cost, warranty, etc. Just said $700.00.I give Roto Rooter no stars because it took more than two days after the appointment was scheduled before I received a random text stating the technician was on the way. The one star is because I couldn't post without it.

They didn't show up at their scheduled time and didn't do anything when they got there other than tell me my water damage needed to be inspected, which is what I thought they were doing. They didn't refer me to anyone or clean the mold. They didn't do anything.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Ryan. He was very professional and very courteous.He did a wonderful job he explained Everything to me. He took the time to show me what he was doing and why, and he explained that a technician with the camera would be there the next day so that I could see that everything was cleared out fine. I’ve used other companies before but the professionalism in the attitude that Ryan portrayed to me makes me a Roto router customer from now on. Rotorooter scammed us for $1800. Do not use them. We had a sewer line back up into the house and called them to clean out the line. The quote was $350 to come out and run the snake down our drain. A little high but ok. It was a weekend. After they finally showed up a day late, and put their standard machine down our drain, they told me that the rotary cable would not work. The tech then proceeded to tell me that we needed to bring in their high pressure water blaster for $1800 because the line was still plugged with grease and the rotary cable could not remove. I asked the tech if he was sure the Rotary cable had made it out to the end of our sewer lateral and how we could tell. He didn’t have an answer except that he had been doing this for three years so.....he just knew. I accepted his word and agreed to the $1800 charge. This hydro blast service would also include a video of my pipe. Upon completion he tells me that the lateral was good to go and that they had found it was plugged with tampons. I was confused by this comment and asked to see the video. He told me that the video rig had already left so we weren’t going to be able to see it. After reflection, I realized that the drain was not plugged with grease at all but really with paper products and that they should have been able to easily remove with the rotary tool. The next morning I called customer service to voice our concern and was told we would be receiving a call from the branch manager. We did not receive a return call. I am planning to file a complaint with the State Contractor’s Board.

Roto Rooter came through big time on Christmas Day. We had our drains back up in our coffee shop and needed expert, emergency service. The Technician, Billy Jenkins showed up within 20 minutes of my call, on Christmas Day. Billy was on time, polite and very professional. Within minutes, Billy was at work and had our drains flowing perfectly. If Billy had not showed up, we would not have been able to open our doors the next day. Thank you Billy Jenkins, you are a blessing!!!

Haven’t needed plumbing services in years. So when I had a clogged pipe, I reached out to Roto-Rooter. So glad I did! They were super responsive on a Sunday night and the technician, Ryan, was awesome-professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He had everything running smoothly in no time at all.

I had the pleasure of working with Gage and LT. My situation was a little but these guys helped me and got the issue handled. We had a major back up and turns out it was in the city mainline and not my own. Through Gage snaking the line and LT working the camera to inspect it, We identified the issue and the city flushed their lines. We are still clear and all is well so far. I would recommend these guys as they are professional and very helpful. Thanks Gage and LT you guys are great.

He worked hard and made sure that the drain was clear before packing up his equiptment. It was a positive experience to use your company with a very nice and respectful employee for our drain needs.

We recently purchased a new kitchen faucet and had it installed by a local licensed plumber we have used previously. The faucet turned out to be defective and we bought a replacement. Our plumber was unavailable to install the replacement, so we called a referral number and were contacted by Roto Rooter. The cost to replace was $475. Two weeks previously, our local plumber had charged us $130 for exactly the same job. Had I not been able to find another plumber for this and the fact that we needed it done today, I would have refused the service.

Arrival was earlier than estimated time which was welcome. Technician looked at one of two cleanouts. The recommendation was that the cleanout needed to be replaced as it was only one-directional. Technician left and said somebody would provide a quote to install a two-directional cleanout and then clear the line. Contacted another vendor who arrived within 30 minutes which was extremely fast. He looked at the two cleanouts and said he would prefer using the other cleanout. He pulled roots out the line. Problem resolved. I told him about what Roto-Rooter was saying. He responded that it seemed that Roto-Rooter was either just lazy or directed to spike what was needed to be done by requiring a cleanout be installed.

Don C was fantastic and worked hard to find and fix our problem, but wasn’t able to remedy the situation we have. We still don’t know what the problem is and will have to find someone else with the skill to fix. Your service from the second I called until Don C left our home, was flawless. Thank you for trying! Only a 3 star rating because the issue is beyond your company’s service level, not because your company gives poor service.

It took a while for the technician to arrive due to call volume in the area, but Joe was fantastic. Quickly diagnosed the problem and got it fixed. Needed a part and went to HomeDepot and picked it up. The rate charged was pretty high, but I needed it fixed and good trades people are hard to find these days. Thanks Joe for getting it done!

For a 20 minute service call to unplug a toilet on July 3rd at $429.00 is a rip off. We understood there would be an extra charge for night fee at $79.00. But $350 for 20 minutes again with travel time is a rip off!!!

Just moving into our home, we had a few unexpected but small items to address. We called Roto Rooter and they sent a wonderful, kind, professional man named Mike Torres.He came during the same day and completed his estimate. We contacted Roto Rooter on other time just a few days apart for another item. He was so nice and professional. We want to keep using this company and Mike. If you have a plumbing issue call Roto Rooter, you will not be disappointed.

We called 3 plumbers to come fix the plugged drain in our medical practice, but they were too busy. Roto Rooter to the rescue. Gerardo was very thorough and made sure the chronic issue wouldn’t happen again. He took a photo of the sludge he pulled from the drain and explained that snaking it just pushes the gunk around. He made recommendations in case it happens again. He was extremely professional.

I called on a Sunday night and they were out on Monday when I asked. Darren was professional and very knowledgeable. My sink was repaired quickly and he left no mess!

Quote for service was twice the amount of other companies. Was quoted $1500 for a hydro jetting of main pipes and local rotor companies were offering same service for $800.

The initial service guy was great. He explained everything clearly and his quick response to our needs was very much appreciated. Very professional and polite. However, we were not given a receipt for our payment, not any type of paperwork concerning the terms( ie guarantee on work performed) a manager was also here, and informed us about a long term resolution to our problem which was quite expensive for our budget so decided to decline on the additional work and expense. At that point the manager seemed irritated and just packed up his equipment and left without saying goodbye or anything. Not good customer service.

$395 to snake out something I told them would take less than 7 minutes. It took less than 5 minutes for him to do it. That is with getting the equipment out. It was right at the front exactly where I said the issue would be. The rest of the time was spent having them try to sell me on more expensive options we had already said we don't want and can't afford. No, didn't seem to register. It's not a holiday, there was no travel time expense and it wasn't a difficult job. There was also no reason to have 2 different people show up in 2 different vehicles to try and convince me to spend more when I know what the problem is. If you're going to charge someone that much money at least bring your own way to power your equipment instead of adding yet another expense for the customer. At the end I asked why the price went up. He said it was because we need to replace the pipes because dirt can get in and roots. They didn't pull out any roots or dirt. Just a hairball right in the front. Replacing the pipes is something they have commented on before and again this morning before even doing any work. Last time they charge $700 just to look at our pipes and not fix anything. Cleaning the pipes is another thing they tried to get us to do for $2,000 this morning. So beware. If you don't do the expensive things they want you to do, your price will just keep going up. Find another company and save yourself the hassle. $395 for a few minutes of work and repeatedly saying no is not worth it.

I called RotoRooter first thing in the morning. They answered my call first thing in the morning and put me on the schedule for same day. I appreciate the fast response time and the notifications I recieved upon arrival. My technician was Albert Gomez. He was extremely informative during the whole process. He disclosed everything up front that needed to be done & discussed what he was doing it while he worked. I was worried we they wouldn’t be able to squeeze me in close to the new year, but that was not an issue. The job was completed and my kitchen sink no longer is clogged, older parts that were corroded were replaced, there is no more leak under the sink. I’m very pleased and thankful for a job well done.

Had a main drain clog and called around and this was the first company that could come out same day and they were even early. Super nice fellow and I can flush my toilets again! THANKFULLY! Will call them first next time plumbing services are needed, for sure.

Despite being a bit pricey, Roto-rooter was prompt professional and skilled. The two staff were personable and explained what they were doing and how it was going to help every time I asked. Hopefully I never have to call again but if I do run into another problem they will be at the top of my list.

The plumber came late after calling from Walmart. He asked on the phone what the problem was with the toilet almost as if he was deciding if it was an emergency or not. Then tells us if we want him to tighten the screws on the back of the toilet it would be $350 and that wouldn’t guarantee a fix. Not professional or helpful at all. Also, it would be nice if your company would wear booties upon coming into peoples homes. I had scheduled this appointment around 2:30am to get a 6:00am slot and it was almost 11:00am when he got there. I called Roto Rooter because my first experience with you guys was great but not this time!

I clogged my sink at 8:30 pm at night.. busy mom of course not paying attention. Called the 24 hour dispatch services and they offered to come that night or in the morning. I selected morning, expecting for someone to arrive no later than 2 pm. Well they messaged at 7:30 am of their 8:30 am arrival, notified they were in route at 8 am, and arrived by 8:30 am. Provide free estimate. Not only did they unclog the first issue but out we had 2 additional clogs in our pipes that were causing water to fill our lines.. cleared up 90 feet of 100 feet of of pipe that would have cost 1000 to repair very soon.Professional and awesome customer service!

Too expensive so I declined the fix. Started off talking about a simple shower valve parts replacement and then he claimed he needed to replace entire shower faucet and that would require drilling because he could not remove the bolt and that he was going to charge an extra 225. I said but the shower faucet costs 150 or less. He said because you are taking up my time. In the end he wanted us to pay over 800 for a job he initially said 550. I already thought 550 was overkill but I wanted my faucets fixed.Next time it will serve your company better if you send an experienced person. Someone from the other company just came and removed the faucet knob easily without drilling and it took less than a minute for half the price. Glad we saw through the BS

They sent out an unable and very evasive plumber. During the scheduling they said they have a camera that they will give me a quote on the work if I don't want it done that day fine they leave then the plumber said they work with the company that will come out with a camera and charge me $750. Outrageous! When I scheduled the appointment I was told from Roto-Rooter personnel that they have a camera as I requested due to the information that the actual water company gave me when they came and checked it out that I need a detector. And I was assured they have a camera and they'll give me a quote the next day. That was like a switch hit to a customer. Needless to say I did not use them and will not.

Fast, Efficient and Professional! We had a severe backup in our Septic Tank. Our dilemma was trying to locate the Septic Tank. It was buried in the yard. The last 'living person' who might have known the location ...couldn't find it. Within 30 minutes of Roto-Rooter's arrival, Problem Solved.

Roto Rooter arrived at the scheduled appointment time and quickly solved the water flow problem with the condominium downstairs toilet withing a few minutes.

I had frequent contact from the company on time frame. I was able to see the plumbers location and when he would arrive to my home. Richard was great and showed me what the problem was and what potential issues to watch out for.

This is not a reflection of Rotor Rooter the company- this has to do with the technician that came out- he did not give me an estimate- he went up did the work and came down and charged me 325.00 for unauthorized work. He also did not give me a receipt for the payment. I have filed a complaint with the company.Got a call from a manager-within the hour of tech leaving- he “says” they will credit me with unauthorized work done- I will update my review once this issue is resolved. In reading reviews it seems like this is a pretty regular tactic for the techs- no estimate then hit you with a charge.

Replaced turn on/off water valve and replaced gasket between water tank and bowl. The repairman arrived at my door within an hour of my phone call. Got the job done in no time at all. Roto-Rooter is the best!!

They’ll usually get there relatively fast and will do a fine job. The technicians are always pretty nice. You’ll pay way more than is fair for anything beyond a quick snake so be prepared for some serious sticker shock if you’ve got a big job. We only use these guys to clear a line in an emergency or to start a quote process. We’ve always been able to find a less costly solution for bigger jobs.

There's nothing worse than a backed up sewer. We called Thursday afternoon and plumber showed up before 5:00 and unplugged the line. Friday morning, they came back and ran a camera through the lines and we discovered several areas of root blockage. They were able to get the necessary equipment and clear the roots all the way to the mainline in the street. Everyone did a fabulous job.

Sent RR out to a rental property today. There were two angle stops that needed replacing. Tech said it would be $325 per angle stop to replace. We found someone else to make the repair for $125 each. The tech left telling the tenant that “the landlord was not willing to pay for the repair so they just don’t have water”.Very unprofessional!!!Will never use them again!

Way over priced and expressed a situation which was not accurate. We had a guy come out and fix it for free. They quoted two options. One for $2200 and one for $4500. Out to get your money. Don’t trust them

I called because I had a yard drain clogged with tree roots. They showed up when they said, and cleared the line. It was difficult because the problem had been building up for years, so it took a while, but they got the job done. The tech was very nice and professional, and worked hard to fix the problem.The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I thought the price was really high.

had a copper pipe that started leaking so had someone come out late at night because it was a main water line and had to shut off my water supply. they charged me $79 for after hours fee just for coming out even though he didn't do anything then gave me a estimate of $2600 to replace a 8 inch piece of copper pipe when I told him that's outrageous he said copper is expensive. so i waited till the morning called discount plumbing in madera he charge me $140 and fixed everything!! im very unhappy with the way this business handled this situation I feel he overcharged me just to get the free $79 and leave

Sewer line backed up causing water to gush out of both of my toilets flooding the bathrooms and the living room. It’s a Saturday and I called and Juan was here within an hour and fixed the clogged sewer line. Very professional and efficient. I hope I never need to fix this problem again but if I do I wouldn’t go to any other business.Thank you!!!!

This was a horror show from the get-go. It ended up costing me $1,400 to have a drain cleared. I felt like I was paying for the technician's plumbing education as he tried different things to remove the clog. It's been five days now and I still haven't received any of the final paperwork. Which doesn't surprise me since I can't imagine how they are going to justify and itemize that cost. And to top it off I was informed by the technician that they wouldn't warranty the work. And he was hitting me up with an additional quote of $4,000-$7,000 to have them scope my sewer line for roots and repair any damage. Just a really bad experience all around. Stay clear of these people!!!

Scheduling was a joke, called 3x for an estimated time, was told wait by my phone between certain hours for approximate time, then 5 minutes later I got a text the person was 2 minutes away! Also, the alleged plumber didn’t bother to check his work and the drain plug is still leaking! Or I’m annoyed but need to call them back. $375 for 10 minutes of incompetence!

Service tech was helpful and professional but I do wish the company could have provided a better ETA ahead of time. We waited until 1p to get service.

Martin cleaned our sewer line in record time. Gave us some good tips on how to avoid clog toilets and sinks in the future. Very professional very knowledgeable

We had a nice young man come out, but he could not clear the blockage with the damaged snake and he informed us it would be $1,800 for the hydro jet. Our original price quote was $780. Since we were desperate seniors, we went ahead, but balked at the $1,800. We then refused additional service and called another plumber. He removed the blockage from a bend in the pipe very close to our overflow drain.The young man from Rotorooter charged us $325 for not fixing the problem. Several people feel they took advantage of us. I will leave this .information for future customers to determine. My rating is based on the financial aspect of this job. Charged for not fixing the problem.

Skylar was a great technician he was very efficient and friendly. We had a broken faucet in the bathtub and he fixed it in a timely manner and gave great customer service!!!!

Charged $1650 to pull a toilet and clear a line. Granted it was on a holiday. Took the tech less than 2 hours to do so. Ridiculous amount of money. Save a thousand dollars and call someone else.They also recommended water jetting the line because they said that they didn't clear the line all the way ($1650 wasn't enough to do that I suppose). I called another plumber and watched them camera the line. There was no blockage there. I shutter to think how much a they would have ripped me off for a water jetting that I didn't need.

They came the same day and Mr. King was extremely responsive. He identified the problem, got the new heater and put it in the same night so we got hot water. He was awesome.

Fast easy experience, made the stress all go away very quickly

Our kitchen sink clogged and I removed the piping under the sink but found no trouble. I then ran our washing machine and it backed up into our kitchen which confirmed we had a clog in our main drain out in our garage.. I called to a few places but they could not come out for a few days. We then called Roto Rooter and they had Coby out before noon the next day. Coby was very professional and did a quick and fantastic job. Within an hour we we back in business doing our laundry and dishes. Would highly recommend Roto Rooter.

He not only cleared my very clogged shower drain he got on his hands and knees with some Ajax and a scrub brush to clean up the mess left in my shower, hands down the best ever! Thank you Billy!!! I still have to clean in more detail but I’m so thankful he got it started!!!

I was told when I called, that I’d have an appointment the same day. I was in the middle of a septic emergency and trying to find someone, same day, to help me. You can imagine the disappointment and anger when I found out I was only getting a mere phone call to tell me pricing that same day! I would have continued calling around for help if I was told anything other than “there is time available fir you today”.Also, the quote I received was more than twice what our regular septic company charges.Awful.

Very polite ppl, a pleasure even though i couldn't afford their services and was real upset about it. My home is very old and alot of replacing pipes and so forth extra work and materials were needed.

The technician was extremely polite and very efficient. Strait to the issue, cleaned it out and done. He had all of the necessary equipment and no lost time for any reason. I would use them again if I need assistance.

The driver was there within 90 minutes of making the appointment. Stayed until it was 💯 solved. Made sure I was happy and answered all my question. Not the cheapest but I would use them again.

They came out under 2 hours after we called. Our technician, David, was very professional and explained everything to us without making us feel dumb. We were very happy with him. Rating is because price was kind of steep. It was about $370 to come out and take a clog out of the main sewage. However, we are happy with Roto-Rooter and will continue to use them in the future.

This is more about the company’s pricing structure than the 2 men who came to my house today. The estimate I approved for clearing our clogged drain was $425 and the quote was for an estimate of 2 hours. The drain was clear in less than 35 minutes (I never saw a snake, and one of the two said, “I ran water in the sink and it’s fine now)…. but I was STILL CHARGED $425!!! This is insane and unacceptable business and we will never use Roto Rooter again in the future!! The plumbers here were nice guys, but useless in regards to modifying the quote, and just said they don’t set pricing. Unbelievable!! I left a message for the local manager to call, but no word back yet. Do not use Roto Rooter if you want a fair price!!

WOW the technician that came was DOPE. I had EMERGENCY flood because my dog ripped into a pipe.He was professional as hell, he kept his professionalism even thru me and my partner disagreement in front of him.He did a amazing job, he showed up so fast...I was panicking yall, the whole backyard was flooded, he did his THANG! THANK U THANK U! I paid $975 for a 4hr job...and he gave us tips on other things. Definitely recommend this company.

Garbage disposal backed up sink and into dishwasher AND overflow. No water movement at all. Took some time & effort, but Luis (great guy) got everything flowing and functioning properly again. What a relief!

Roto Rooter Rocks!

Charged us $50 to come 7 miles out of downtown Sacramento. Fair enough. Plumber arrived and wouldn’t snake the 10-foot straight run from the house to the septic tank because he said the snake would get stuck. Said he would pull the lid off the tank to see if it was full. Didn’t do that, but instead called is supervisor who said it would be $500 to pull the lid off. I said does that get credited to the $750 cost (from the last company that came—not RotoRooter) of pumping the tank out and he said his supervisor quoted that cost as $3200. Sent him on his way.

Ricardo did an outstanding job of fixing our shower handle that was broken and leaking! He went to a supply shop also to get a part that was needed even though it was late.

They were quick, on time, polite and honest. The biggest and only complaint is the gentleman walked all through the house without booties on after I requested the lady over the phone for preparation. That's a big No No. Other than that, decent service.

We had a plumbing emergency and Roto Rooter was quick to respond. The problem occurred when I wasn’t asked to be onsite for the work which was at a tenant-occupied home at 630pm. When they arrived and were greeted by my tenant, they refused to do work without me and I wasn’t available, even by telephone at the time they arrived at the location. Had I known they needed my approval, I would’ve made sure to be available. It was a miscommunication. I have no doubt they could’ve done the work…they just never did anything for lack of proper communication ahead of time. They did not charge me. I give them three stars for having a human answer their phone and for not charging me; however they need to better train their dispatchers.
