Update 8/8:
Still Zero star, they did replaced one panel that wasn’t sealed and leaking air but nothing they would do about the cracked and peeling painting, thousands of scratches and large gaps at the bottom between door panels and tracks. Now I am seeing geckos inside of my house.

Zero star. There are tons of problems and headaches after replacing my patio door to Western door 7650 system. Finally their rep came today without bringing any level or measure with no help but denied and argued every single problem that I pointed out.

When I pointed out that wind leaks from gaps of between panel frame and double panel glass, their rep didn’t even try to take a look and just told me “that’s not possible because everything was sealed”.

When I showed him the gap is big enough for me to insert a painting brush, He didn’t even wonder how could they manufactured something like that but just told me “don’t do that”. He will do nothing even I asked what if I can prove it leaks air.

When I said there’s full of dent scratches on the door and frame, some of paint just peals and fall off when slide and close the door, their rep responded “that can be touched up”.

When I showed him that there are seams everywhere on the panel frames. He did not even take a second look and just told me “that it’s tolerance”.
What? a seam that I can see through from inside out and bugs can go through is tolerance? Their company’s standard is just way below standard!

When I pointed out one of panel probably balled because the gap in the center is much bigger than on the top and bottom between 2 sliding panels the rep said “we haven’t done final walk through yet”. and he said everything including bent metal, seams between parts that I pointed out are made within tolerance.

Finally the rep admit a big gap at the bottom was because one of weather resistant stripper is missing because they are human. But they don’t make mistakes on everything else like didn’t seal the double panel correctly. And he said my door was ONLY $23,000, they made same door for hundreds thousands!
So what ? I should just keep my mouth shut after spent 23k but not 100k
?????
All photos tell the their low quality.
Worst choice for my house. I’ll file a complaint on BBB as well.

They're dedicated to their craft, I don't think anyone walking in will doubt that, but they talk big a game about being non judgemental (my words not theirs), friendly, and ACCEPTING.... I'll let you judge that yourself because that was not my experience with them personally.

FAILED QUALITY CONTROL on Series 7600: We ordered a 7600 door and window unit comprising three panels with window panels on both sides of a door. These were for installation in new construction. When they arrived, the fins that protect from water infiltration had been installed in incorrect locations. These cannot be removed and reinstalled without affecting the glazing installation and damaging the units. Also, the unit was sent with the incorrect size of mull bars needed to join the units. The supplier, Sierra Padre Windows and Doors, of San Diego, decided not to pursue the correction of fins, telling us that fins are not needed!?! Thus, we are facing a very costly construction delay because this unit cannot be installed as is. This lack of QC inspection on the part of both the manufacturer and the supplier is completely unacceptable and very costly. We may finally need to resort to a lawsuit to get this resolved, as action from both is inadequate, so far.
Update: The Western Window representative arrived and agreed to have this corrected in a reasonable fashion. Hopefully, this will resolve the matter, but producing a replacement panel and correcting another will take months, resulting in significant construction delays. Quality control to begin with would have eliminated the problem, of course.

Western sliding double plannel glass doors are very poor quality and glass doors shuttered after installation. It is a brand new home and builder is DR Horton says contact the Western and Western says they don't cover the glass doors after the installion. Broken glass is not part of the warrany Item. Very bad response and poor behavior from their reps.
The quality of glass is very very bad. It happened to my nighbours also. He got the same response.

We had 2 sliding glass doors installed less than 2 years ago. The sliding glass doors both work flawlessly. Our problem is with the handles, screen door hardware, and sill plate. Our handles both started rusting within the first year. Rainbow glass and mirror in Maui took care of the first handle within a couple months. Now we have been waiting since January to have our screen door wheels replaced, (they have rusted through the aluminum frame) the second handle replaced, and Western Windows is also supposed to be supplying a new stainless track guide for the screen door. The wheels on the screen door have eaten into the aluminum frame completely. For more than $16,000 dollars for two doors installed and a ten year warranty I hoped for more durability and better warranty service. Local installation company put the blame on Western Windows not following through with the replacement parts. I'd appreciate it if Western Windows would contact me directly. I'm tired of the run around and just want my doors fixed properly.

Strongly suggest you avoid this company. Clearly great at merchandising their product, but the final outcome does not live up to the standards they advertise. We purchased a $9,000 pivot door (first mistake) which look great as advertised. Their relationship with the local distributor was dysfunctional at best (AVI in Nashville). The door arrived two month after committed (delaying our overall construction) and upon arrival was defective (pivot point top to bottom was off by one inch). Had to be reordered and reshipped and took another month. We've been in our house for 6 months and have repeated problems with the seal on the bottom (being replaced for second time), and found the locking mechanism impossible to operate. Reached out to WWS and they told us to work with the local distributor (Again, AVI who is terrible). They can feel free to reach out to us at btim21459@gmail, but likely they will post an apologetic retort and make no effort to correct our situation.

This company is based out of Phoenix. While our hospitals are overflowing with coronavirus victims and our teachers are petrified to return to work, this company is forcing employees to work in offices when the work can be done remotely. Dozens of employees have caught coronavirus and the company has not provided any type of meaningful response or instituted any kind of work from home policy. Please do not do business with them.

Well... just when we finally thought our Western Window Systems problems were about to be solved, we now find out that one of the trapezoid windows in the kitchen was fabricated backwards. This is now 3 windows in our project that have to be reordered. Oh, and did I mention that in spite of all the issues being on Western Window's side, they are unwilling to rush production of replacement units. For something as custom/expensive as these windows are, you'd think there would be better quality control and certainly better customer service when addressing problems. Not impressed... I've used western window system for my primary and secondary house and love it everyday. My most recent project was for a 20' multi slide system. It's definetly not cheap but worth every penny. If you need that WOW factor for a project...this is absolutely it! Thank you for making such a quality project and love that I'll helping a local company.

Great experience. Angel and team made final adjustments on a new home installation. As with any large project, there is aways a punch list. Appreciated the followup and attention to meeting our expectations.

Quite possible the most disgusting purchase experience I have ever had to go through, mitigated only by the partner that has to deal with these people on our behalf.

It took these Muppet's two years to replace our damaged panels.. panels damaged within a month of being installed as The outside frame/glass interface wasn't sealed. Basically water hitting the window wall would run down the wall enter the outside of the frame, hit the metal track under the window pane then wick back along the track and up the inside of the fir cladding.

After 20 month's of complaints and trying to get these idiots to own up they finally agreed to replace our window wall panels, they informed us that they had now changed the locking mechanism and asked us to measure (even though they had all the measurements on file) the locking mechanism so they could ensure that the locking mechanism true'd up. Alarm bells are ringing right..

Did so, provided pictures.. 3 months later almost 2 years to the day the thing was first installed new panels are installed and the lock doesn't line up and we cant lock our house now.

Our installer has been superb through this entire process, I'm not mentioning their name anywhere here as they have been nothing but helpful and accommodating and all our other windows they installed at the same time have had no issues. I also dread to think how much time and energy they have wasted trying to deal with these idiots at Western Windows..

I'd say if you live in the desert or your window wall is going to be completely under cover and no chance of getting wet then great.. the wall itself looks fabulous from both inside and out.. the build quality looks amazing will certainly make your house look really nice.. but god help you if you need the window to actually be functional and stop rain or secure your house.. I guess build quality is secondary to build look in this case. Steer clear.. that's almost 15K and two years of my life I wont ever get back..

I could go on ad nauseum here as to the communication and lack of ownership and number of ways the 'company' tried to weasel their way out of this from stating installation instructions included information on sealing the window pane yourself (they don't) (and who the hell buys a window you have to seal.. isn't that manufacturing) we put in 14 Millgard windows at the same time and none of them have had any issues whatsoever.. no additional sealing no anything just installed done thanks very much....

I waited to see what the final job looked like when they replaced the panels before doing the review.. but that they couldn't even get the locking mechanism right and now our home isn't secure just sent me over the edge.. so yeah this review is written at a time of personal angst and should be taken with a pinch of salt but if you summarize:

We Purchased 2600 Series Wood Clad Window Wall System
2 years for a warranty replacement identified within 6 weeks of product fail.
2 years for a replacement that doesn't fit properly on install
Constant finger pointing and trying to absolve ownership
Never bothering to come onsite to see the issues
Not responding to mandated requests in a documented timeline
and
A product that just wasn't and likely isn't built properly..

it was time to voice and hopefully help someone else avoid.. If you chose Western and live anywhere that has any sort of water falling from the sky (so 99% of the planet) cross your fingers!

If this is what American Manufacturing will become when it all moves home .. then id suggest leaving it all in China!

Edited: We were disappointed with the doors we ordered from Western’s new simulated steel line, which had thick stiles and looked nothing like the simulated steel sketches in the brochure. David Stearns from Western went above and beyond to make sure our concerns were taken care of. One star for the doors and five stars for David.

They are forcing employees to come into the office despite the fact that many can work from home. So far nearly 30 of their employees have contracted COVID-19. This company is endangering their employees and families.

Came home from a weekend away to find my three panel sliding door had just exploded inward. The exterior glass is in tact but the center interior panel just blew inward. I was told by customer support that glass breakage wasn’t covered by manufacturers warranty. This is an 11 thousand dollar door that is two years old. The rep also said I can’t explain it but breakage like that just happens. I’m beyond upset with not only their lack of care but not standing by their manufacturing. I live in large community with over 400 new builds still to complete. I am going to insure that every person purchasing in my community avoid purchasing these windows and door systems or at least are made aware that they are defective and that they will in the long run end up eating the repair and replacement cost. What good is ten year fake warranty when they disclaim any manufacture defect. If anyone from Western wants photos or info reach out to me.
