Sunset Septic

Had a little problem with my septic system. Gave Sunset Septic a quick call and my problem was solved! Quick response, very reasonable pricing and the guys that came out were great! They came out and diagnosed the problem, showed me what had happened, gave me a fair upfront price and showed me some tips on how to help keep my system maintained. The work was completed quickly and they made sure the area they were working in was left as good as they found it!

We purchased a home in Oct 2022 and shortly after started having plumbing issues. We have had several companies out, with a camera and a locator to find that there is an issue at the repaired cover in the back yard. There is standing water in the pipes and at the repaired cover.

I called Sunset as they were one of two companies that have done work on the home requesting them to come out under warranty to check the tank to verify or fix the issue.

Rainey argued with me stating that they do not warranty or guarantee their work. They dug up the system, pumped it, certified and inspected it. When there is clearly an issue. So they (or the other company - who is coming out UNDER WARRANTY to verify that their work was done correctly and identify the issue) did something (or failed to do something) correctly and we are having back up issues every couple of weeks.

Rainey then argued with me stating that I was lucky that my tank was still operational as it was built in the 60's. She continued to argue with me when I said that if you take care of things they will last and then tried to tell me that was incorrect.

This woman is unprofessional and the company is a joke. DO NOT USE them!! Less than a year after they touched the septic I am having issues and they refuse to come out to verify their own work under warranty - because they don't have one.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

Sunset Septic has displayed a high level of incompetence at doing septic tank inspections! They failed my septic system for the following reason Septic system failed water test and a new pit is needed. We recommend a whole new system as tank is nearly 40 years old. They then quoted me a new $20k septic system, I was concerned about this response and got a second opinion from another septic company. The 2nd company quickly identified that there was a piping issue and that the system COULD NOT EVEN BE TESTED without making the piping correction. The piping was corrected and the system passed with no problem. I called Sunset Septic and spoke with the receptionist and informed her of the situation and requested a refund for their in-accurate and useless septic inspection that I paid $675 for. The receptionist told me that management would call me back to discuss. However management did not even return my call to hear my concerns, they only responded by email stating I am sorry to inform you that we will not be refunding any money to you. This shows a high level of incompetence and scamming of the customer, it is obvious they are more interested in selling $20k septic systems than meeting the actual needs of their customers. I STONGLY RECOMEND THAT ANYONE THINKING OF HIRING SUNSET SEPTIC TO DO ANYTHING RE-THINK THE THE THOUGHT AND HIRE A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!!

Mitch, his crews and office staff, were excellent. We had two septic systems installed, and to be honest my family and I are tough customers. We are very demanding when it comes to contractors and expect top level service. Sunset Septic did not disappoint! Thank you all for your hard work and friendly service.

I am so furious! If I could give no stars I would! In the process of selling my home and needed septic pumped and inspected. I was told they could put me on the schedule for a week from today which was Thursday...and today. When I asked if they could give me a time frame I was told they could not ......it could be anytime up until the time they closed. At 4pm they had not showed up yet! When I called them up they said I wasn't on the schedule!!!! Really? Wrong thing to do to a home owner in the process of moving! Such poor business practice! Do yourself a favor and skip this place! Plus, NO apology nothing!!!

As a Realtor I work with lots of companies and often my list of contacts and vendors is like a revolving door because companies fail to provide quality service or charge more then what they deliver. The team at Sunset Septic are ROCKSTARS!! Great service, great pricing and went above and beyond for my clients on short notice. Will definitely recommend them to future clients.

Recently called Sunset Septic to perform an inspection on a property located in Queen Creek and they got right on it within 48 hours of my making the call. They were timely, exact in it's location and did a great job digging pumping it out, digging it up and inspecting. My clients and I are very happy about the way they put things back, you can hardly tell they were ever there.

We are very happy with there service and will use them again when the need arrives.

Now was quoted a price on the phone and that's exactly what I paid which I felt was a great price, but notice it's about 50 bucks cheaper listed on hear, maybe I am reading it wrong or missed something. I had a unique situation where the house was on the fence of being able to close before foreclosure. AND Sunset was so very gracious with working with me to wait to the last possible day to get it done. The service was done quickly and the report was sent in a timely manner so we could get it to escrow and close! Thank you for being so flexible.

Sunset Septic made an appointment for a week out from the call for service. On the appointment date they had given a 2 hour timeframe. I called to check on the estimated time of arrival at 1 hour past the given timeframe. Receptionist stated that she would check with the technician on where he was at and call right back. They didn’t call “right back” so I called them after an additional 35 minutes and was put on hold. Receptionist said the technician was assigned an emergency pump out and would now be an additional 3-4 hours. I understand things happen and would have been just fine if anyone would have simply picked up a phone to keep from wasting my time. They obviously took the higher paying emergency job. No one from Sunset Septic EVER called us. We cancelled our appointment due to poor communication and customer service.

I have been in the business for ten years, and have used many septic companies in the past. I received some marketing material from Sunset Septic, and decided to price them against my current venders. Not only was their pricing more competitive, but they completed the job next day! I was very happy, and would recommend them to anyone!

I booked an appointment a week out. There was no call to confirm the day before so I hoped that the time frame they gave me of 8-10am would be accurate. At 9:15 I called them to confirm we were on the schedule and the receptionist who answered confirmed and said they would be there by 10. At 10, they still weren’t here and I had to leave for an appointment. My husband had to leave work to be at the house for their arrival. At 11:15am he called them and the receptionist said that they were running behind schedule and she’d check with the technician for an eta and call right back. 35 minutes later and still no call back. My husband called again. This time she said that the technician was 3 to 4 hours out. So between 3 & 4pm. This is simply unacceptable as he was missing work to be there. There was no courtesy call, no apology, nothing. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and terrible business practices.

I have been using Sunset Septic for my Septic needs for years now. They are always prompt to reply to my calls or emails. BEWARE: Bought a house believing they had properly inspected and certified septic. Determined they never performed the complete service before I purchased house despite them billing the seller and providing the required transfer certification. They initially blamed it on a former employee they had fired and said they would make it right, but they have since refused to provide a letter accepting liability. Complaint being filed with ADEQ.
