Just had them remove a large palm tree (see photo). Communication was quick and easy. Estimator came out the next day; they were the lowest of three estimates. Once I called back to schedule, they were here within a week (and during monsoon season). Took less than an hour and the tree was gone and the stump ground. Good experience, friendly service, would recommend!

Very happy with my experience. Came out same day I request a quote, gave me a fair offer (half price what others had quoted me). Came out on arranged day, had tree down and debris removed within an hour and a half. Pleasant and easy to work with. Would definitely hire them again.

I would absolutely recommend this company, particularly when compared to the way some competitors conduct business here locally. Another company of Tree guys asked for pics via text and had no clue what I truly wanted, just wanted to text me, take my money (cash only) and do what they thought I wanted without truly communicating w me. Don from Harris and Sons on the other hand, came out to my home, explained things, and even suggested the best time of year to trim my Jacaranda tree as well as what type of trimming would be best. His expertise and consultative approach was much preferred and a few months later, I reached out to get the work done. The guys were quick, prompt and cleaned up the tree while taking a good bit off which is what I wanted. I was in dire need of a tree professional after having tenants neglect my grapefruit tree. Harris & Sons were the 2nd of 3 companies i had called to diagnose my tree's health. They were prompt in returning my calls and getting out to the property to inspect and offer their advice. They were very competitive with their tree removal fees and i was overly impressed with how the job turned out. You would never know that a tree used to be there. If you need a tree removed save yourself some time and research and just call Harris & Sons from the start, you wont be disappointed.

Very professional and on time. The small stump grinder was unavailable when they came to take the tree out but Daryl took the time and came back the same afternoon and did a fantastic job and even gave me information and pointers on how to get rid of the sawdust. I've used Harrison son's 4 different times for tree removal, trimming and pruning and I would recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right.

Good morning - Called Harris and Sons to set-up an appointment for an estimate. Norm called the next day and we set-up the date and time. Norm is an Army Veteran from the Viet Nam era and we are retired Air Force. Needless to say he was already family and the stories we told..... Norm told me the price and he set everything into motion.

The crew came out and the tree was down within 1 hour. Very Professional, safe and cleaned up the area.

Last my neighbor used them and was very impressed how this crew works together.

Called Harris and Sons to trim up a massive Palo Verde in my front yard. Quote was very reasonable and scheduling the work was very easy. Team showed up on time and had the work completed quickly and the surrounding area fully cleaned after they were done. Will definitely be calling them for the next trim.

We had a mesquite tree that needed substantial trimming and removal of dead branches. Harris and sons did a great job removing dense redundant branches and pruning the tree so that it can grow beautifully. Also, now we do not have to worry about monsoon winds taking this tree down. We had to wait 4 weeks for them to get to us, so book soon! Harris and Sons were recommended by our neighbor. The scheduler called us soon after we agreed to proceed. The team came about 1 hour later then the window time, but that was okay. The work was excellent. We had hoped the price would be less, but are pleased with the results. We did not shop around.

Harris & Sons trimmed a large mesquite tree for me and I am very happy with the results. They did a great job at removing overlapping branches as well as a large dead section and also cleaned up some large branches. I was also impressed at how happy I was with the results because another company suggested cutting down the tree because that company thought a trim would make the tree look ugly. Harris & Sons also cleaned up all the debris and I think the ground looked better after they were done than before they arrived. I would definitely use Harris & Sons again and recommend them to others.

The company answered my first phone call, had an estimator out the next day, the estimator provided a quote promptly that was consistent with all the other quotes I received. The estimator had a crew ready to trim the trees the next morning (48 hours after the initial phone call). The crew arrived on time early in the morning and even politely waited until a decent time to start as to not disturb the neighbors. The crew worked hard, quickly and efficiently and had a huge amount of work done in a short amount of time. The crew went above and beyond what I had expected to be done and I couldn't be happier with the entire service. 10/10 would recommend!!

Great company, nice people, fair prices. I had a challenging tree removal in a tight space between a fence wall and the house. They took a very large tree down and ground the stump--you'd never know a tree had been there and did it without damage to surrounding areas. And that's why you pay licensed, bonded professionals to do the work!

His amazing team trimmed our severely overgrown mesquite tree with structural and artistic expertise. Considering the professionalism and skill of their arborists, prices are very reasonable. Don from Harris & Sons came out and gave us a competitive quote and was very personable. We didn't go with other companies that were cheaper because they were not insured which was a necessity for us as we were having a large mesquite tree removed that was 3 to 4 inches away from our house. (We also received quotes that were as much as twice the amount of Harris & Sons). The tree hung over the house and was leaning towards the house (bedroom) so we wanted it removed ASAP. Mariya called to set up the appointment and was also very pleasant to work with. Jeremy and his crew arrived on time and had the tree removed without incident in just over two hours with the help of a crane. The crew cleaned up very well and were even nice enough to cut and toss some of the wood in my back yard that I can use for firewood. We have a large pine tree that we'll be having Harris & Sons back to trim when the time is right. Great people, great work and worth every penny to know the job was going to be done safely. If you are looking for a great company to have your trees cut down I would highly recommend Harris & Sons Tree Specialists. The tree trimmers showed up early and and got right to work and did a great job. Very professional and knew what they were doing. Took less than an hour and half and cleaned up the yard. Also working with Jeremy and the office personnel, they were very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very pleasant and great to work with. Just a note also they were the least expensive company out of 4 estimates that I got. I checked with the BBB and they were listed as no complaints.

After not receiving calls back from multiple companies, I tried Harris and Sons, they were responsive, quick to provide an estimate and we booked the work within a week or so of the estimate. They came out on time and did a great job, I would definitely recommend them.

Outstanding response as an old, solid, heavy Palo Verde tree branch broke off in heavy wind, and landed squarely on my vehicle, rendering it unmovable/un-drivable. This was at end of day, end of week. On Friday afternoon at 5pm, tried 3 well-known tree removal companies. Harris & Sons were the ONLY ones to respond. The job was not inexpensive ($2k), but the work they did, as fast as they showed up (2-man crew, 2 vehicles, probably 6 different chainsaws, a pull-behind wood chipper, etc), and as thorough and careful that they were NOT to inflict further damage to my car...these guys were all that. They cut the tree down to the stump, and cleaned up every trace of their visit, too. Very conscientious.

Almost removed two trees from neighbor but they blocked my entire driveway with their truck and trailer without even a courtesy knock. They used a chainsaw to cut a palm tree 6 feet from my car splattering it with wood pulp and dirt. Tried to call, only an answering service - Nobody called back to address the mess their crew made in my driveway and my cars. RING cameras caught it all so they can't say it didn't happen... They did not even finish the job because their equipment broke down. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I just used Harris and Sons for the third time, and each time I have been very pleased. Estimator Don Is excellent, offers great feedback, listens to what I need, and is very personable.

The crew, led by Jose, is very attentive, professional, and work fast. They clean up after they finish, and I can't even tell where the trees were. Stump removal is thorough, and goes deep. They did an excellent job!

We love these guys. Used them last year and had a great experience so when we needed another tree removed we called them again. They do an excellent job of trimming trees too! Hello my name is Chris and I am the owner of Cornerstone Landscape. I have used Harris and Son's for the past 5-6 years. Jeremy and his team have taken down hundreds of trees for me over the years. Two jobs they have done recently speak to the professionalism of Harris and Son's. In February of this year a Large mature Pine tree was hit with a micro burst and was up rooted and landed on my parents house. Jeremy ordered a 50 ton crane and had the tree off the house with in 48 hours. We also had a dead Pine tree at a church that just recently resurfaced their parking lot. I let Jeremy and the team know this and they were able to take down the Pine tree with out damaging the asphalt on the new parking lot. Thank you Jeremy for always taking good care of my clients!

Had a dead pine tree that we needed removed and they quoted us $800 less than the next best and provided more services. Can’t even tell the tree used to be there now. Fast and extremely
professional work. Would recommend at least getting a quote from them if you are trying to get a tree removed or a stump ground down.

We called Harris and Sons to evaluate our young orange and lemon trees, thinking they needed some fertilizer treatment. Jeremy told us they were fine, just getting too much water. Instead of an expensive treatment, he suggested cutting back on the amount of water they were getting. Great evaluation as that seems to have worked. Jeremy could have sold me an expensive treatment, but actually saved me some money on my water bill! We also had them remove 2 large queen palms and trim a few others. Price and quality of work were excellent. Crew showed up on time and was very professional.

I cant say enough good things about Harris & Sons, especially Don the sale rep/site manager. I would like to thank him personally, he was professional all the way though. Even after we had a minor mishap with one of tree branches hitting my house. Don and his crew handle it professional and in timely manner. He called the owner, Jamie, and within the hour he was calling me and setting up a crew to come out and fix the damaged area. Keep in mind this was Thanksgiving weekend and he had someone out here the day before and after repairing the damage. You cant even tell where the damage occurred. I forgot to mention, they didnt expect payment of work rendered until the repair was complete and I was pleased (Kudos). Oh and i haven't even mentioned the work they did for me. They cut down 3 trees 2 stumps and thinned out one of my trees all in the front yard. They were the least expensive of all the tree companies i called. They cleaned up their mess as if they were not here. I defiantly recommend them and will refer them to my friends. Im very pleased and will use them again in the future.

UPDATED - I had a representative call me due to my critical review. She had the original rep call me and they advised they could not do the spraying and told me that they would refund me the $65. Both apologized and I received the refund check as well.

I had Harris & Sons come out to look at my trees and give me a quote to trim/remove/medicate them. Their rep came out on 10/2 (invoice 5489) and told me I had sooty canker on my trees. He then went on to describe how he used to work at a place that sprayed them, he wasn't sure if Harris & Sons would do it at or or this time of year. He told me that he would talk to someone and email me options and estimates. Cost me $65 which would be applied to the service. Never got that email, called and left 2 messages never heard back. I had advised that I was ready to pull the trigger and hire them - just needed to know price and options.

I did get an email showing I paid for the consult.

Disappointed given the high reviews from multiple places.

Lesson learned pay with credit card so I could dispute it.

This company is amazing! Talked with them and got booked promptly. I had two very large pine trees removed in my backyard that they had to do all by hand. I thought it would take a couple days but they showed up at 7 and were done by 1. They also trimmed 10 palm trees too. They left everything clean and beautiful. Will definitely be using them for all my tree trimming from now on.

Had the company come out to give us a quote on trimming eight of our trees at our home. Jeremy Harris came out, was able to provide a quote while he was here. Set up an appointment for the service.

The day of the work being performed we had five gentlemen arrive at the set time and started working immediately. This wasn’t a small job. But they finished everything within three hours. They left our home looking GREAT!! They cleaned up everything prior to leaving.

We couldn’t be happier with the work that was performed. We highly recommended Harris & Sons and will be using them for all of our future tree services!!

Harris & Sons did a wonderful job! We had 3 very large, mature mesquite trees removed. They were professional, efficient, and left the yard looking great! I would definitely recommend them!

I obtained 4 quotes from 4 different tree removal companies to remove 2 large sissoo trees.

Harris & Son's was initially the highest priced, but I did end up choosing them since they were able to price match to one of the less expensive quotes and appeared to be the most professional.

They are also licensed, insured and bonded, which was equally as important.

I communicated mainly with Brittany who was also present to oversee the tree removal. She was professional, fairly responsive and knowledgeable.

Pros:
-Cleaned up their mess along w/ old leaves that were already lying on the ground
-Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable
-Licensed, insured and bonded
-Price matched
-Workers were fast, efficient and appeared to put safety first

Cons: Nothing major but:
-They don't do stump poisoning, so you have to pay and schedule that separately w/ another company (they did provide a recommendation [Custom Weed & Pest Control], but that company rarely answered the phone & I had to leave VMs/keep following up).
-Workers didn't call prior to showing up and they were over an hour earlier than their est time frame window
-Even though the company was responsive, I did have to do some follow-up on things they stated they'd send

Harris and Sons did a great job removing 28 trees and stump grinding all stumps in one day. The crews were very respectful to our senior residents and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves! The property looks beautiful and ready to paint !!!

We were impressed with Harris and Sons. I couldn’t believe how fast and efficient they worked. In less than three hours they removed our Bottlebrush tree and stump as well as trimmed and reshaped our Ash. The yard was clear of debris and our newly planted grass was left intact. They did a wonderful job, would definitely recommend Harris and Sons.

Have used Harris & Sons for years on some big projects... both tree trimming/maintenance as well as clearing/removing trees and shrubs. From Jeremy to office personnel the professionalism and approachability is fantastic. Great follow through on providing estimate in a timely manner. Appreciated meeting with Jeremy to walk the property to ensure expectations were clearly outlined for both parties. For me, that was understanding which trees could be removed entirely or would need to stump ground. Very helpful.

As for execution, they were flawless and very clean!! While we had to reschedule (delay 3 days) due to some equipment maintenance required for our job, the communication was clear and authentic as to reason.

Last, and very important!!! Harris and Sons are fair in their pricing and very competitive. In reviewing/researching several other tree maintenance/removal company’s in the valley I have found Harris and Sons to be the best. Other companies pricing was much higher, AND they pushed fertilizer (deep root) really hard, to the point they would NOT do the tree work without the fertilizing ...and if the think the triming/removal was expensive, the fertilizer was 2x!!! Amazing and a big turn off from other companies.

In summary, very pleased with Harris and Sons!

Highly recommend, we will be using them again. They came in at a better value and were able to meet competitor quotes within a certain amount. They were prompt, they got the job done in a day, which really surprised me! They did what they promised, we highly recommend and we will definitely use them again in the future!

What a refreshing experience. From my initial meeting with Zachery who estimated my job and was here the entire day with his crew was impressive. Their pricing is very competitive, the crew very professional, safety conscious, great cleanup, excellent equipment, can't say enough good about them.

They did an excellent job removing the tree in a relatively quick period of time. They even made me a perfect stump for me for wood chopping. The only issue I have is they should lay down a tarp to collect the chips from the wood chipper they used to grind up the branches and stumps. I took an hour to clean up all the chips from the rocks in the yard. And they're still more to do! Thanks for getting the tree out of our yard.

These guys were great in every respect. Don is personable and knows his stuff...we had a palm, olive and couple other trees cut and stumps ground; couple olive and bottle trees trimmed and it all looks great! They arrived around 8 and finished after 11 - and cleaned up nicely when finished...heck, they even left us some logs for our fireplaces...definitely will call again next time around.

Harris & Sons Tree Specialists is a very small establishment with only 1 woman handling the entire office. Zach made the house calls to do estimates and then 3 workers cut the trees. It was very difficult to find anyone in the office. And the call back would finally come a day or two later.
The office didn’t let me know when they would be arriving and so I called. She didn’t call until the next day when they were coming. The estimated time was 1 1/2 hr. earlier than when the laborers actually arrived.

The job at my home was simple and straight forward. They chainsawed an Acacia tree in a short span of time. The guy who grinded down the stump left some parts of the root exposed and didn’t grind it all down.
All of the people were nice to deal with, but I would choose another company the next time.

I had a huge Silver Dollar Eucalyptus tree leaning against my house, after a brutal storm uprooted it. Harris and Son's made it easy for me at every step, and quickly removed the tree before it could damage my home. Their prices are more than fair, and they were extremely professional. I would, and will, recommend them to anyone that needs quality tree service. This company is top notch.

These guys were courteous, clean, very fast. We had a big fichus tree that needed to be taken down in a corner of our pool yard, with a pool, pool fence, and wall on three sides. They took it down with out damaging anything in about an hour. They left the yards very clean. They came back two days later when their grinder was fixed and finished off the stumps to the point you can't tell they were there. I'll have them come back and do some trimming when the time is right. I highly recommend them.

You came out to our property over three to four months ago (April-May) Jeremey walked the property and was supposed to give us an estimate/quote, even provide a layout of the property to help them with trees that needed to be removed and trimmed.
We have been waiting since that time, I have made over 5 plus phone calls and left many voicemails only to speak with an answering service on a recorder line, while asking them to have someone to call me to finds out where my estimate was in regards to the service we requested. Final went on the web page for an email contact Than they tell me they are not talking any commercial properties. Why wouldn't they just contact me in the first place a couple months ago to let me know this ...VERY POOR BUSINESS MANNERISM....Very disappointed.. SAD SAD SAD

The whole crew were very professional and seemed as they knew exactly what they were doing. We did a whole HOA tree trimming and thinning consisting of 81 trees plus a couple trees in homeowners back yards. We would definitely hire them again for future work

Prompt and very responsive to my need for tree removal. Had substantial storm damage to a huge Palo verde tree. It was removed and the area was left spotless. Great company and easy to deal with. Great price for the work involved.

Unlike the other services I contacted, Mr. Harris came to my home and looked at the trees to be removed rather than rely on texted pictures before giving a quote. I had 5 large trees (my landscaper told me he had planted them about 30 years ago) that had died suddenly. Within an hour, the trees were gone! The crew had removed and chipped the branches, cut and loaded the trunks for transport, ground the stumps below ground level and covered them, cleaned away all the debris & smoothed out the desert yard. They even trimmed a few dead branches from the old pine tree in the back yard. When they left, you couldn't even tell there had ever been big, dead/dying trees on the property. The men worked well together and I was amazed at how quickly my yard was transformed. I would not hesitate to recommend Harris & Sons Tree Specialists.

From start to finish they were highly professional! I needed some large limbs cut off a large tree and 2 large bushes removed and the cost was very reasonable. The representative who did the estimate was very knowledgeable and helpful. On the day of the trimming/removal, the first 2 of the team showed up and immediately began their work. I was amazed at the high safety level on which one of them carefully got up the tree with ropes and winches AND the power saw attached to a rope. He carefully and painstakingly removed branches and finally the large limbs. The other team member cut & moved the limbs and branches to the curb just as the other 2 team members arrived with the wood chipper, etc. They then set their sights on removing the 2 large bushes and everything went neatly into the chipper. They also cleaned everything up so well and covered the rocks back over where the bushes had been that you would not even know that any work had been done! I am SO impressed with their work, professionalism and teamwork that I would definitely recommend them!

They just removed a total of 5 palm trees out of my yard 4 extremely tall ones and a short one. They were here first thing in the morning and they were done within a few hours. We've used Harris & Sons for a number of years and are always pleased with their work. Especially nice is the fact that they clean up after themselves so there is no mess left when they are done.

I had a hard time getting an appointment scheduled! There was a lack of followup! Their work is excellent! They did a great job trimming my trees and the price was reasonable! I highly recommend!

The hardest part of this experience was actually booking a time for the team to come out! Norm came out the same day I asked for an estimate! But then I waited for a quote for 2 weeks. Norm followed up after 1 week and asked if I had heard something, and I hadn't. He was supposed to speak with the office person. After another week I followed up myself. I found out that they had my email wrong. Why no one called me about that, I don't know. If I hadn't followed up, I'm not sure what would have happened. Once I signed the estimate, the team was out within the week, and they got the job done within 30 minutes. I was given a discount for the hassle. They did a good job. They need help with communication though.

The crew showed up on time and continually asked me if they trimmed the tree enough. I told them to do more and they followed my requests perfectly until I was satisfied. I will definitely use them when needed.

I had to have my trees trimmed away from the house to put it up for sale. Harris and sons crew did a fantastic job. They were timely and professional. The yard has never looked better. Thank you so much.

Zach was quick to get out and give us an estimate to remove two very tall Mexican palms. The price was less than half of the other quotes I got. Five guys came out and attacked the trees. They were done in less than two hours. The stumps were ground down so that you would never even know the trees existed there. They also trimmed a California palm in my yard. The job was done efficiently and the yard was left clean. Do not get quotes from anyone else because these guys are the best!!!

I hired Harris and Sons to trim my three trees after the storm in Fountain Hills end of February. All they did was remove the downed branches. I called them back to say none of the trees had even been trimmed - just branches removed for a whopping $850.00! They did come back and trimmed just one of the trees, the other two are now almost dragging on the ground they are so out-of-shape.

Do NOT use this company - there are many other great landscaping companies out there that actually care about the customer and do a decent job. Harris and Sons sadly doesn’t care about anything but the dollar.

Damaged property by not following the process described and and paid for by their arborist. After the damage occurred, the company didn't provide any resolution, even though the project manager recommended we contact management because the damage occurred due to negligence.

Very organized, efficient, and competent team. Each knew his job and did it well. Had good equipment in good operating condition enabling the team to accomplish the work in a minimum amount of time.

The crew that showed was fantastic. From the time that they arrived to the time they cut down and chopped up and hauled away a 35 ft palm tree and completely cleaned up the area was about 40 minutes. Great crew.

Friendly is the only thing I can say about this company. The man came and sold us a tree trimming service and fertilizer service for $900. They send a small crew of men to do the trimming and have not made good on the fertilizer. I have made numerous phone calls and have received nothing but the run around.

Once again the Harris people did a great job, but definitely not the cheapest.
