On google it says there’s a nine dollar service call and $14 to re-key an interior door. However when you call to get that service you are informed that the minimum cost is $80 and will probably end up being more. Not cool! There’s no place for zero stars so I guess I’ll give it one star

I don't like to post negative reviews of businesses unless they're warranted. But, I feel like this business and the public should understand that this was not the right way to handle this situation.

I needed an emailed written estimate for a warranty repair to resolve an issue with a safe. I spoke with the answering service for this company, who put me in touch with one of their staff members. While I did miss their initial call-back, I did call them back to speak with them, and gave them the appropriate information so they could provide the estimate. Due to the holiday weekend, I gave them a few days to work through it.

After not hearing from them as of today (7/7), I reached out to them and the answering service told me that I had been contacted numerous times with no call-back to obtain the information for the estimate...which was not quite true. The answering service put me in touch with one of the company's techs so I could provide him the information for the estimate. The tech said I had to call the company's office so they could provide the estimate. He was super-nice about it, but just couldn't help me with it. When I called the office phone number, the same answering service answered. The person who answered seemed upset that I had called again. I kindly said that the tech asked me to call the office, and I asked if I could simply re-provide the information for the estimate, and that it wasn't a problem if there was a delay in getting it to me.

The response was approximately, it's going to be too much trouble to get you an estimate via email, as we'll have to contact the manager, and such and such other tasks will have to be done.

My response was one of surprise but I tried to not be upset, you cannot provide me an estimate via email? Thinking to myself, this is 2022...not 2005 or even 2010.

After being told no again, I finally asked, so, you do not want my business? The person's response: I'm sorry, we're just going to be able to assist you with this.

I'm giving this business two stars, because they were not argumentative, and the person was probably just doing their job. However, and this is being pretty blunt...if you're a highly-rated business on Google and cannot provide an emailed copy of an estimate, I'm not quite sure how you're in business. It's too much effort to provide an emailed estimate? Really? As an owner of multiple customer-focused businesses in my life, I cannot fathom not being able to provide something as simple as this to a potential customer.

Maybe they were concerned they weren't going to be paid? I was the one who was going to be reimbursed by the safe manufacturer, and would be paying Discount Locksmith directly for their services. Anyways, I do not know the quality of their actual work, but they seem to not be able to provide electronic copies of estimates, which seems really strange to me.

I hope this information helps the business improve their customer service, and potential customers to make the right choice when choosing a locksmith.

So I'm one of those girls who is always dropping their phone for 1..lol..bt I Also lock my keys in the car alot...So I've dealt with quite a few locksmiths..BUT Hands down

Was placed on hold for “2-5” minutes till a technician could call me back with pricing info, I ended up waiting 25 minutes on hold, then I hung up and called them again, they answered and hung up. Wish I had help since they were close by.

I was 18 years old at the time, going to school. I remember quite clearly the frustration I had being locked out of my car. I am not a competitor and honestly I never leave reviews unless I am moved for better or worse, sadly this was bad enough to make me leave a review. You may have been busy, or on another call, and I understand that. But if you don’t like a review don’t immediately jump to conclusions, I didn’t even have the motivation to respond to such a comment at the time, if you would have responded by leaving a call back number I’m sure things could have been straightened out. I am a respectful and understanding person, a simply apology and call back number could have easily changed this review.

Checking out this locksmith due to having a vehicle that we are not able to enter. Pricing seems much more reasonable than other locations, and will be able to comment on the service once it is complete. That being said, pricing can't be beat when a locksmith is necessary.

Phillip rocks! The guy was here immediately and even came into the barbershop since I was getting a haircut. Super awesome person and very social. One of many services listed here claiming to be a 24 hour service. It's just a call center. They'll say they're dispatching someone but they don't have anyone to dispatch. They just call someone for you. They don't know the cost and they don't know the eta. Very stressful

Called for a locksmith and Sean appeared within 30 minutes. Needed to have all the locks in our home re-keyed ( 15 in total ). Sean gave great advice and very professional service. Completed all the work in what seemed like maybe an hour. Will refer him anytime I get the chance. Made it a point to ask for his contact information so that I could do so. It is never a good day when you lock your keys in your car. Especially when that’s where your purse, diapers and car seats are. I called a TON of places and the prices were crazy all over the place, I had people say “I will be there in 30,” and 2 hours later no one comes still. I got in touch with Phillip and when he said “25 minutes” I didn’t believe him. He showed up in 20 minutes, super polite, quick and efficient. He was very professional, and kind. He explained everything to me and was done in u def 5 minutes. I will definitely be using him in the future for any locksmith services I need. Excellent service, highly recommend.

Key fob is acting up and got locked in the car. Sean came to the rescue! Not only was he pleasant and punctual, but he also had the car unlocked within minutes and gave us information on where to go for a new fob. Well i lost my key at walmart, on 18th ave & bell road in phoenix. i called this 24 hour locksmith and explained the problem..a young man came and he wasn't able to help because he doesn't rekey. So he told me another locksmith from their company was on a job, but would call me as soon as he was done. I sat for 3 hours and nobody called. After waiting 3 hours, i tried calling to find out what happened, but nobody answered. Its a 24 hour service, their web site says. But nobody came and nobody answered..I've been sitting in my car now for over 3 hours, going on 4 actually. I tried another company and the other company hasn't come either. Its 3 am, i can't go home, my husband is in the hospital, and all these 24 hour locksmiths aren't really 24 hour. Its cold, I'm tired, its not safe to leave the car. I don't know what to do.

Needed a car key cut. Just needed the blade copied, both original key and the blank were provided by me. I stopped by, and no one was there. I called their phone number, and was informed that the tech was out on a vehicle lockout call. No problem, I could wait.

The girl on the phone asked me what I needed done. I informed her that all I needed was the blade of a car key copied. She said with the immobilizer programming, it would come out to $120. I politely told her I already programmed the immobilizer chip myself, and all I needed was the blade copied. She very rudely said “well, it’s still gonna be $120, even if you did program the chip yourself”

Total price gouging. Went down the street to another locksmith, and he cut it for $15 in less than three minutes.

Rocio came out after 3am and helped me quickly and efficiently in 5 minutes. She was really nice. I would definitely recommend day or night.

I came home from work with my 2 kids and didnt have my house keys to get in my house. I found discount Locksmith to get the cheapest price. They had someone call me back with in a min and had someone on the way in 10 min in north Scottsdale. Very professional and knowledgeable explained everything he did and was able to enter the house. With in 5 minutes. I saved there number incase theres a next time.

Benny was a very professional and pleasant locksmith. He came late on a Saturday night and I greatly appreciated him making the time to rekey my home.

I unfortunately locked my keys in my car and I had called the discount locksmith to come out and the lady on the phone told me it was only going to be $50 ($15 for service call and $35 to unlock my car) so after the lock smith(Andrew H) unlocked my car I asked him what the total price is going to be and he said $160. It took him almost an hour to get to me and it only took him 5 minutes to unlock my car. I was so upset I finally got him to make a deal with me to drop it down to $80. I don’t recommend this company because they’re just going to scam you and try to steal your money.

2 hours to try and rekey my 350z. Charged me $200 for a key they couldnt even program.. just to find out from a different locksmith that it wasnt even the correct key model in the first place! Really wish I could get my money back. What a rip off!

Over the weekend i misplaced my car keys, so as a consumer i was seeking the services of a locksmith. I came across your company and gave you a call. a tech was sent to my home we agreed upon a price of $ 220 for 1 key and a key fob, after 45mins he came to my door and said i cant do the job for the agreed price, it will cost more then a realized. right then and there i was skeptical. with an unlocked truck and no key i then decided to go to the chevy dealership with my vin number and have a key made. when i returned to my truck when i stick my key the ignition it would not turn, as pulled it out the entire ignition came with it. no one touched the ignition after your tech , so naturally i called him back over to my home to finish the job he started . he then came to my home to charge me $250 to fix his mistake as a consumer you can see why i may be upset the be charged for a service that wasn't completed correctly he ruined my ignition and didn't make me a key, he has offered to fix the ignition for a price which i feel is unfair because when this processed started the ignition was 100% fine that was the doing of your tech. Now if i let your tech fix the ignition there will be a key , most likely that key will not work for door locks, so if that is the case WHY would i want two keys when i had ONE key at the start of this headache. now lets also remember i went to the dealership and paid to have a key made, if your tech replaces the ignition and door locks ( because i do not want 2 keys i only want 1) then your tech has now cost me for that key since it would for these replacement parts he is offering. Bottom line is i want my truck to have a working ignition with ONE key for ignition and door locks and no headache. i am not looking for any problems i would hate to have to bring my case to the attorney generals office , as a stated in the beginning i was a consumer seeking a service you advertised to provided and yet your tech seemed to have made matters worse and much more costly for me and your company. Thank you .
