Workmanship was fine. In fact they had a 2nd tech come to make sure the 'detection' was accurate but they charged for the 2nd trip! They also did not do any clean up or repair work or cleanup: Flange not rebent to original position, left concrete pieces where they fell, did not vacuum up any dust from when they cut into the plasterboard nor repair the plasterboard.

American Leak Detection has a team of True Professionals. Between Shauna and Seth, I was given the impression that there was a 110% chance the leak would be found and that was EXACTLY the result.

I received a $250 water bill and called for a meter read. City of Tucson said a leak. I had sold my house and was waiting to close when this occurred. Talk about stress! A plumber and my realtor both referred American Leak Detection in Tucson to find the leak quickly and the most accurately. They were on time and found the problem within 10 minutes! Thank God no flooring had to be jack hammered out! The water softener O-ring blew out. The exhaust tube ran up the roof and down through the vent stack to the sewer pipe. The softener was turned off and the meter stopped running. Had I been dealing with someone else, I could have had flooring jack hammered out looking for a leak that wasn't there. This will be the only company I will ever call if I have a suspected leak. Thank you!

I support local family businesses. The owner, Mark came to my house and I was very impressed with his work. He detected where the outside leak was on my property. They're professional and courteous. Customer service is all I want with any company. They provide it!

ALD of Tucson responded to my weekend email and scheduled me immediately. Seth and Troy arrived on time and were professional and polite. Seth found the leak almost immediately in a wall even though the water was in the carpet about two feet away. After they found the leak they still continued to evaluate my house and let me know I had a landscaping leek. While walking by my pool Seth noticed the water was too high and he checked my auto-fill valve - which was bad. I can't imagine how much they saved me in excess water waste from two leak sources I would have never checked. I definitely recommend this company!

Although my telephonic discussion with this company was brief, I am convinced they are consumate professionals in their field of underground water leak detection. They were even recommended to me by another plumbing company (Abacus, thank you, BTW) as being the best in their field. And although I cannot afford their services at the moment, when the time comes that I can, these good folks WILL be the company I call upon to find my leak. Shawna was super helpful over the phone and managed to creatively get someone out same-day for my outdoor plumbing leak. Seth was professional, incredibly thorough and frankly a delight to have around. Even with this information my plumber failed to find it. Seth came back out and located the leak again for me. Very responsive and professional. I will only recommend this company for future repairs. This was a wonderful experience. Seth educated me about reading my meter, CCFs, shutoff calves and all those things I now can check. They immediately diagnosed a leak in my fountain ball float which was remedied by simply moving of a grate at their notification. I cannot say enough good things about my experience and their speedy response in arriving. They were helpful after I read my meter in confirming I was understanding the process. after a $700 water bill i called ALD. seth was very thorough; he located 2 significant leaks. the service was expensive but well worth it, both from a cost-benefit analysis and also just because it's unethical to waste a lot of water in tucson.

Mark came out and thoroughly inspected not just the area I pointed out, but he identified the larger cause of the problem I called about. He made all of his findings clear and I was able to provide them to the plumber who was able to fix them. Worst company ever. Rude, unprofessional & crazy expensive.

We had an enormous water bill and the leak was not evident. American Leak Detection was able to discover the source quickly. Of even greater importance was that even though my appointment was a week away, they found a chance to come the next day!

They were very thorough about finding our leak. The only thing is they didn't send the report and bill to the insurance company so I'm still waiting to get reimbursed

We recently came home from vacation and determined that we had a small water leak somewhere under the concrete slab of our home. (Water meter indicated slow flow even when all taps, toilets, etc were off) We called American Leak Detection and they were on-site within a couple of days. Within an hour of their arrival, they had mapped-out the location of all our under-slab copper pipes. They also determined the leak location by using a high-tech electronic stethoscope to listen for escaping nitrogen that they released into a nearby bathroom faucet. They marked the spot with an X on the carpet. When Abacus plumbing came to cut out a section of concrete and do the pipe repair, the leak was found to be within about an inch of where American Leak Detection said it would be!

Words can’t express how thankful I am with Luke and this company. I almost lost hope in finding the problem with my pool after a bad experience with previous Leak Detection company. All I knew was my pool was loosing an extreme amount of water but no signs of a leak anywhere. The moment Luke walked into my backyard he said, I am already done. I said done with what? Honest! Spoke to me, consulted about my problem, and gave me a straight answer.

Seth came out, said it was the faucet leaking ; he said it could be tile but he said he detected a leak in the shower handle. The tiles had minimal missing grout and were at the far end of the shower. I used the plumber he recommended and the plumber could only put in a new shower head and handle but, he could not get the water to stop leaking even after this was done....he charged 400 plus and american leak detector charged close to the same....At the end I still have the same problem. Not to mention Seth doesn't like being told he could be wrong, I felt like I was being scolded for letting him know there was still an issue. Would not use Expert plumbing or american leak detection again; I ended up breaking through the wall my self and could see where the leak was, I called another plumber and they fixed it....American leak and Expert plumbing charge per hour, the new guys charge per job...over alll....Go with other companies than this chain of people...didn't solve my problem. Also the secretary is a very irritable old woman, who did not like the fact I explained I had to do work to solve the problem, she refused to let me talk yelled at me and said they would not come out to further detect the leak, even though legally it's a 30 day legal agreement. I felt like she was an angry child yelling at me, just a lot older....She did not do her job and made the situation even worse....

I have had this company out twice to diagnose problems for me. They saved me a lot of money by finding a leak under under my patio that didn’t require tearing up any floors. They also were able to help with some water pressure problems when we were selling our home. I definitely recommend this company!

This company does not deserve your business based soley on the unprofessional, rude, self righteous attitude of the older lady that answers the phones and claims to be the owner. I have never been talked to or treated as poorly as I was by this woman, let alone from a professional company. Anyone who treats their clients in this manner has no business running a company or interacting with customers. What a joke. Save your money (very overpriced) and go elsewhere, to someone who appreciates their customers.

We have had high water bills for awhile now. We have done everything from having our irrigation system checked by professional installers, having multiple plumbers check our water lines and fixtures, to having the Tucson Water Department check our entire premises for water leaks (twice) to no avail.
Finally, we were referred to Seth with American Leak Detection and we now have answers to our problem of high water usage!
Seth was onsite for over three hours inspecting our entire water supply system, including all possible sources of water usage including our pool, irrigation system, plumbing fixtures, valves, shutoffs, everything! He pressurized the water lines with compressed air at first, then he added helium to listen for leaks with microphones.
Ultimately he found multiple issues, a faulty irrigation valve missed by the other specialist, a faulty auto fill valve for the pool, three underground leaks for the water main from the meter. Wow, truly amazing is all I can say. Seth was completely thorough and patient in figuring out our problems. He was not satisfied until he had answers for our excessive water bills.
We are very satisfied with his services and would highly recommend him! If you have water usage problems he will figure out what is causing them! Worth every dollar!

Great team of workers Luke has, came within 5 minutes of us calling! Really dedicated to finding ANY leaks in the home and outside, went above and beyond what we needed! Then he came back and helped us be at ease with an outside water problem I had texted him about! Great service! The company was at the house within one hour of our call.

We could hear water flowing, saw no sign of leaks, but the water meter (a modern ERT meter) was recording flow of 0.16 gallons per minute. Seth, a former US Marine, was totally professional in every way. During his 2 hour visit he confirmed the leak existed, mapped the underground and in-wall plumbing, and marked an X with pink flourescent tape inside the master bedroom. He predicted it was a pinhole leak located 12 deep.

After our plumbing contractor (Racy's Plumbing) jackhammered through the foundation at the pink X, he found the pinhole leak at 12 deep, within one foot of the pink X. The pipe location was spot on. The accuracy was pretty remarkable for something that was totally invisible from the surface. The survey cost $375 and was definitely worth it to prevent the possibility of structural damage and/or termites to the house. Their service was perfect.

I was driving. I was on Flowing Wells and Wetmore. The driver abruptly switched into my lane and cut me off. No signal used! I got a call close to an hour later from a Seth Tanner saying, I know why you called. He went on to say he kept waiting to let someone get in. I always let people in who signal if it safe. This driver definitely did not signal and abruptly cut me off in the lane I was using. I cannot speak to their service, but I am simply commenting on the individual who cut me off while I was driving.

I noticed water stains in a corner area (and then the next day, water dripping from the ceiling) in a room off the garage. Seth was very professional and thorough. After a while, he finally found the source of the leak up in the ceiling. He checked for other sources of leaks in the house and yard while he was here. Upon my request, he recommended a couple of excellent plumbing companies. The plumbing company I called was great --they came right away and fixed the leak. Seth answered my questions and gave advice when I asked for it. He even texted to check up on the repair many hours after he left. I understand why this company has an excellent reputation in town. The price was discussed up front when I scheduled the appointment and there were no surprises on the final bill. Very professional company. The workers (I dealt primarily with Seth) that came were very pleasant and neat while they were here.

I was very pleased with American Leak Detection's service. They found my leak in about an hour. The leak was where they said it was. After I fixed my leak I noticed my meter was still running. I called them and told them about my meter, they sent someone back very promptly and did not charge me for the second service. They told me that they have a 30 day guarantee and found another leak not to far from the first one. I would recommend this company to anyone who has a leak. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and they were super nice.

Seth at American Leak Detection was everything we needed and more when we started to notice water bills about 3-4x more than what they should be. He was referenced to us by Don with The Drip Dr. after he ruled out any issue with our drip system and Seth came over right away and found our leak, which we were able to dig up and fix.

But that's, not it... Seth actually called a couple days after the leak was found to see how we were coming along and I told him the water meter was still spinning after the leak was fixed and he was over in like 5 minutes and found a second leak like 20 yards away!!! Without his timeliness and reliability, these issues would have cost us so much more money and time. Seth was a 2020 blessing, and boy did we need one!!

Came out to locate a sewer line for us below slab so we could put in a new shower. He not only found the sewer line but scoped it out all the way to the street. We found a small tree root problem & was able to take care of it too! Friendly & good at what they do!

These people are terrific! I was convinced I had a leak in my older pool and Seth said that I should do a 24 hour bucket test and report back before I spent my money having them check it out. He clearly explained how to do the test and carefully explained how, if there was a leak, they would try to figure it out. Much to my surprise, he (and my husband) were correct in that it was simply an evaporation issue I really, really appreciate the time and care he took. If and when I do have a leak worth checking, this is whom I will call in a heartbeat!

Our water meter was spinning and we needed to have our plumbing checked out right, ALD was able to schedule us in asap. The rep was very thorough with the leak investigation and was able to find out what our problem was. He explained the whole process as he was going through it and let us know what we can do on our end to make things better. We had been dealing with a sewer gas smell in our house that was making us sick and driving us crazy for the better part of a year. We had several plumbers come out and were unable to diagnose the problem until one of them suggested we have a smoke test done. I called ALD and they were able to get us scheduled within a week. Seth and his coworker came to perform the test and we couldn’t be more satisfied with their work. Despite the reason for calling, it was a pleasure to meet them. Seth is a great guy, very personable and professional. They go the job done, found the leak, and referred us to a couple of plumbers he trusts. I called Knight Owl Plumbing and they were able to make room for us before the weekend. They fixed the issue and the smells are gone! I can’t thank Seth and his team at ALD and Anthony from Knight Owl Plumbing enough for taking care of us. I hope to never have to call them again, but if I do, I won’t hesitate. I know we will be in good hands. I highly recommend ALD!

They found a couple of leaks in our pool and repaired them. On-time, very professional, polite and cheerful and dogged in their determination to find and fix the leak. Leak was not where it was marked. Seth told me he was happy the leak was within 5’ of where he marked it was. Wow! I would never tell one of my customers even though I mis-diagnosed their problem, I was pretty close, so give me credit for that.
