Purchased and had Crown install our new water heater. Worked with Jim who was very knowledgeable and professional. They were willing to install the next day, on a Saturday, in order to get us up and running with hot water. Jim helped us with the warranty and he did a quick and quality install. Highly recommended.

I thought they would have to order a faucet for an old fashion cast iron tub, but they had it in stock at a great price. Crown is my first choice.

This place has all the hard to find things you need. One of the best plumbing shops I've been too, and their specialty tool and hardware selection is great. Knowledgeable service people who are very helpful. I found a round grease trap vent hood I'd been searching for well over a year here. Fantastic.

Now the only go to place for old plumbing parts in Milwaukee. Home plumbing used to be the other but they are now out of business (The owner retired). Crown is it! Lock your doors and be aware of your surroundings as this is a pretty bad area in Milwaukee. Other then that I highly recommend this place for all plumbing and hardware.

There were 12 people waiting for help. The lady behind the will call desk has enough time to have racist conversations with customers about how she don't trust the white man and talking about Jesus. Another customer walked out after being annoyed and she asked to talk politics with him.

Bliffert hardware down the road does not bring politics or racial issues into prices so I'd suggest shopping there

These guys know their stuff! I had searched at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace, and True Value hardware stores for a replacement shower control handle (1980s). No luck. I walk in to Crown, hand the old broken control handle to one of the experts there who returns in 5 minutes with the exact right part! I won’t waste my time anywhere else again!

An awesome, 1st time visit I encountered with this store!
I took in an old water meter part and the pleasant gentleman took a look at my unit and asked if there was anything more i needed...he quickly found the unit and i found other components to buy for my home....I encourage a visit here...it appears to have a very good inventory set up...I SHALL RETURN.....my home projects will keep me coming back!

We need specific parts for our rental unit bathtub faucets. We took the original stem, flange and handle to menards...they couldn't help. Went to home depot and they did manage to get us the exact stem, but the rest didn't work with the stem...took parts back, but they directed us to First Supply. But they didn't have what I need either, so they directed me to Crown Hardware. Although it was a 35 minute drive, it was worth going! The guy that helped me (I think someone called him Tom) knew exactly what I needed...he didn't even take my original parts with him to go hunt down the stem, flange and handle. Came back with all the correct parts, and double checked pricing! Took the parts to our rental property, put them on, made some adjustments...finished!
Crown Hardware has hard to find Hardware and so much more! Hope I don't have to go through such a complicated experience again, but I am so grateful I finally got what I needed! If there is something that a can't find, now I know where to go...Crown Hardware...thanks a bunch!

I went there to get keys made. A bit crowded in there but the employees in there were informative and one of the lady employees was very nice and funny. Very cool local place to go to for your hardware needs.

I'm just a weekend DIYer and am usually intimidated by hardware stores, but this place is great. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and patient. I will definitely be back, and I'll be recommending this place to everyone I know.

I broke a part while fixing a 1950 or earlier Kohler faucet. Was sent here, they knew the part by sight, had the part and related packing etc. Saving me from an endless search.

Unbeatable selection of hard to find plumbing parts with great service and prices too.

When I was a new homeowner in the area and my shower mixer valve broke, I uninstalled it and took it with me to Home Depot, as I had learned to do having grown up in the suburbs, in a home built in the 80s.

Friendly senior employee laughed when I asked him if hd carried it. He said “hell no. Nothin’ here for you. You gonna have to go to Crown. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.”

No better advice has been given to me re: hardware stores for homeowners old and new or ANYONE working on an older (pre-1970’s maybe in particular?) home in the area.

Called them looking for a part and the girl that answered was beyond unprofessional and flat out hood. She answered and put me on hold twice but with the worst attitude ever. Then the guy that answered also was rude, short and in need of customer service training. I will never ever call or shop here.

The older white guy was rather short with me. Although the older black guy came over to smooth things out. On that note i will give a 3 star.

They had the American Standard parts I needed but I didn't appreciate the price gouging (e.g. Faucet Cartridge 023529-0070A RRP $26 Crown Price $47! ) my wife picked them up for me so possibly a man might have had a different price

I have been coming to this place for years for all the oddball hardware needs that you have with 100 plus year old East side houses. Last week I needed a new water heater installed at one of my rental properties and got the best customer service/install/price you can ask for from Jim the water heater guy. I also really like it for getting locks rekeyed & the overall vibe & conversations I hear throughout the store while I'm waiting. This place is truly a Milwaukee gem & the last of it's kind.

THE place to go when you need plumbing solutions. Old school shop and knowledgeable staff. I needed an odd size of pipe nipple and they immediately had it, but offered to make the piece there and then if they were out. A crowd of handyman fellas and pro plumbers coming and going, I can tell why they've been there as long as they have.

Why go to Crown? They have true experts available every day to help you with any plumbing issue (or anything else building related). Bring your issue to them and they will walk you through how to fix it and get you the parts you need. No guessing, just solutions. You don't get that expertise at the big box stores. And if you think it costs a lot more, you'd also be wrong. I found major plumbing parts for a good savings at Crown. They also have a locksmith (Tom) on staff. Tom can also tell and show you how to do just about anything. Don't get frustrated at the big box stores, go to this Milwaukee gem and you will be a customer for life.

The people at this business know the parts. I go there all the time and 99.9% of the time they have what I need and the staff are a great group of people.

Crown has been my go-to hardware store ever since I purchased my home. Especially when it comes to plumbing, but other specialties too, they are real pros. Bring in a 100-year old broken faucet valve, they'll figure it out. Bring in a question, they'll solve it. They're known for being able to offer pro advice and find the parts and that nobody else can find.

They are consistently good that is why contractors shop there. You pay for knowledgeable staff and not have to walk around big store just to find out all the small pieces have been stolen, and you just wasted 2 hours looking for parts.

They are, by far, the best hardware store I frequent. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and will steer you away from the cheap stuff that is going to break.

On two separate trips both an employee and I were met with poor attitudes and agressive opinions from desk staff and given incorrect information. Left without buying anything and sourced parts online instead. I'd love to love this store and prefer to buy parts in person but bad experiences and very rude staff have me just planning ahead better and buying online for speciality parts.

I had a lot on my mind when I went to this store so my mind was everywhere when I made my purchase I wasnt focused he gave me my change and I left the store in the parking lot I realized this man just ripped me off he didn't give me all my change I was 6 bucks short my husband wanted to go back but I didn't want to cause a scene who will admit they ripped you off so I left it alone

Store hours need to be updated!!!! Drove 20 mins on Saturday just to find out they are closed on Saturday & Sunday. Google show they are open for Saturday until 2pm.

Best plumbing supply store in Milwaukee. Pros shop here, but they give expert advice to the do-it-yourself crowd too. Better quality hardware and fixtures than big box stores. Crown is a gem.

Love Crown Hardware. They do have your basic hardware. It is small but if you need plumbing parts or advice this is one of two places in Milwaukee to go! It's where the plumber goes.If they don't have it no one does. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable.
