Sunrise Plumbing

I called them yesteday, 20SEP at 2 PM because I had broken a cartridge in my bathtub, and had to have the water main turned off. I was told they would find me a technician, call me back with the details, and get them out to my place as quickly as possible. 30 minutes later, I had not heard from them at all, and when I called, there was no answer. I received a call back a few minutes later and was told a technician would be at my house around 4:30 PM. I told them that I would need to leave at 4:45 to pick up my kids and I would be back no later than 5:15. They said they'd try to get them there sooner. They called me at 4 PM and told me the tecnician was on the way. I called them at 4:45 and they told me the technician would be there waiting on me when I got back from picking up my kids. I called at 5:04 when I got back and they told me he'd be there in 10 minutes. I called at 6 PM and they were closed. This is not dependable. This wasted an entire afternoon that I could have paid someone else so that my family didn't have to endure no water for a day. Also told me the minimum charge was $170 or so. Won't be doing business with this organization ever again.

Dependable work, timely scheduling. Have now used twice for different work over past year. They are my new plumbing-service company as far as I'm concerned.

Pricy but prompt

Called them in about 3 weeks ago to unplug our main sewer line and they seemingly did a good job. They charged us $168. They even claimed to have a 90 day guarantee on their work. Main sewer line got plugged up again. Called them up again today and their own guy admitted that they had only unplugged toward the house and not towards the street so the plug just shifted away from the house. So they ended up charging us another $130 for something they didn't do right the first time and he tried justify himself by saying that the he had to charge us again because he found 1 wipe-ee. Stay away from this company!

Unavailable due to heater installations

As a consumer, I have the right to know what I am paying for and to try to get the best price for the products & services I spend my hard earned cash on. Apparently Sunrise Plumbing feels otherwise. My retired parents had used this company for over 35 years and Sunrise replaced the swamp cooler, the furnace and the last hot water heater in this house so I had them give me an estimate for a new hot water heater, and also set up an appt for them to service the A/C. I was advised over the phone it would be $1500.00 for the hot water heater install. When I hesitated Carmen advised me that she had held up ‘the schedule’ to work me in for both jobs at the same time... I thanked her for her consideration. We scheduled a date and I was promptly asked how I would be paying. After speaking to my sister & a neighbor I wondered why the charge was so high as it was almost twice the cost either of them had paid. I made another call to Sunrise a couple of days later and asked for a breakdown of the charges as it was never provided, she did so but it required a call back on her part. I called Sunrise on the morning of the install NOT to cancel or ask if they were still coming (they were late but that was not my concern), I called to see if I could possibly get a better price and I told her I liked the work they did, which I do. I SPECIFICALLY told her NOT to cancel my appt & to make sure they come out because I needed the work done regardless. It required another call back from her to get an answer to my last question and 15 minutes before they were supposed to be at my house I was told by Carmen:
1. No price reduction... I replied okay (I still needed hot water...)
2. No appt.... she/they cancelled it! She said “I sent the guys out to do other work instead because you seem unsure”.
3. I was also told that “I should go find someone else to do the work cheaper but to make sure they pulled a permit”. Yes, she actually said that to me...WOW.

I have over 30 years of great internal and external customer service experience. I have successfully built lasting relationships at every company I have ever worked for. NEVER have I seen such blatant, disrespectful, deplorable and unprofessional behavior from a BUSINESS. Her/their response to a simple yes or no question was uncalled for and spiteful, to say the least. Good luck with that attitude...

Sunrise Plumbing has provided us with a variety of plumbing services for DECADES. Rudy is very professional and has never failed to get the job done. Prices are reasonable and his wife Carmen is wonderful at scheduling appointments as quickly as possible. I don’t understand the negative reviews. If you want your plumbing needs for free, do it yourself. One can’t compare prices for services done 20 years ago with prices today. That’s is being totally unreasonable. Furthermore, Carmen does not just cancel appointments on a whim. Both are reliable and dependable and are much in demand. I thank them for their fine work and professionalism through the years.

The gentleman that came to my house was very helpful. He explained every question I had. Reasonable prices and great customer service.
