A plumber from this company called John came to clean a drainage; while doing that lost of water (dark water) came out of the pipe and went over the floor, he wiped the floor when he finish the job and left, then my wife started walking over the floor and water was coming out from the joins of the floor planks, this is a vinyl plank floor just a year old, the floor is not glue to the concrete slab, the planks are join together in a system called click and lock, when I walk over the laundry room water was coming out, this water is trapped between the house concrete slab and under the floor, we called this company and they basically said to clean it ourself and that they will not take care of it, they were very rude and scream at my wife, at this moment they do not have any intention to fix the problem or even send someone to look at it. I will file a complain to the BBB and bring them to the court for damages to my property and health issues we and our daughter will have for them leaving sewer water for us to clean.

I guy named Johnn came to clean the drain, he was very rude since the first moment he got in the house. He made a big damage in my floor and this company does not want to respond for the damages they caused, while he was trying to clean the drain, lots of water (dark water) came out and into the floor, he clean with some rags and left them in the sink, the worse part is that after he left I walked over the laundry room and water started to come out from the floor planks joins, when I called, they were very rude and basically said to clean it myself, the floor needs to be remove and clean, but they are not responding. Now I am paying out of my pocket a professional cleaning company, the last picture shows the water trap under the floor they detected with their devises, the floor cannot be saved.

The guy that came out. He was here the last two times and is rude. He told me I dropped something down the drain. I assured him nothing was dropped down there this time. He basically called me a liar. I left the bathroom because of how he was talking to me. I then told my son to deal with him. I’m not use to being talked down to especially from someone that comes into my home to do some work. I’m very honest. When he got through I told him I wanted to see what was dropped down there. He said he got hair out. Then he proceeded to tell me that something was broken off of the thing that stops the tub from draining. He asked me if it had ever had a different drain. I told him not to my knowledge. I told him all three tubs have the same faucets and drains and I doubt anyone would have replaced all three. He then told me yes they did because when this house was built they didn’t have the fixtures like I have in them now. He was going to argue no matter what I said. He is extremely rude.His name was John!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They were called out over a week ago to replace a hot water heater by our home warranty company. We have called every day for the past 3 days and no one will return our call. They will not even answer and return calls from our warranty company. I have never seen such poor customer service. Finally just cancelled the repair order. RIDICULOUS!!

You should not let American Home Shieldsend this company to your house. Do whatever it takes to get another company for service. Very unprofessional and do not listen...they already know answers before even getting to the equipment. There must be some kind of something between the two companies.

Overall the company might be fine, but the few times we've filed a claim through American Home Shield we've received Johnn. He literally wrote his name with that spelling on the work order. He shows up and is very brash, rude and spends a couple minutes looking at the issue, then smokes a cigarette or two at his van for 30 plus minutes. Everytime he's told us incorrect information, and doesn't do anything. We have to call AHS to have a new company and/or tech sent out. Yall need to find Johnn a new job. He's either too salty to do this anymore or he shouldn't be around people in general. Horrible experiences with your company because of him.

Had to take 3 days off to get a water heater fixed. Tried to explain to the tech today that hot water was not getting to the tub or kitchen. He tells me I need to check the valve. I have not clue what he is talking about. He tells me I have the thermostat up too high. I never touched the thermostat. Only their techs have set the thermostat. Says the water is scalding at the water heater. Its not. and I still do not have hot water.

This company was sent out by American Home Shield. They were sent to replace my water heater. They said they could not replace without tearing out my wall and door frame of the closet where the old heater was in. They would not listen to me when i told them that other plumbers said there was no need to do that to replace. I ended up just taking the payout from Home Shield and getting my own plumber to replace. No wall needed to be taken out. Pipe Down is not a good company. Stay Away.

Very sorry @$$ company to use they came to replace a pipe that had a tiny crack. While cutting it it cracked the whole line now they said they can't replace it unless I tear out my cabinets and wall. They also came out to fix a clog and the technician said he could only unclog have the house. Hate them and will not be using them in the future. They were sent out by American homeshield.

This company was dispatched for us on a warranty call and Larry was awesome. He discovered the issue the first plumbing technician diagnosed was incorrect and addressed the issue. He went above and beyond explaining some other things we could do to get good longevity out of our softener and water heaters. Appreciate this company and Larry’s great!

This company was sent out by American Home Shield. They were sent to replace/fix my water heater. When I spoke to the person at Pipe Down, I CLEARLY told them the issues and the location of the water heater. When they arrived, he looked at the unit asked a few questions and said it needed to be replaced. They said they could not replace it because they do not replace water heaters that are in the attic. This is information they already had and still wasted 3-days of my time with no hot water. They would not listen to me when I told them that they had ALL this data prior to the appt and could have told me then so I could get another company to take the job. When I called, they were condescending and just rude in my opinion. So apparently they don't replace many water heaters as most are in the attic in Texas. What a joke !!! My opinion is to Stay Away.

This company was great ,they really made me feel comfortable, and they cared about my plumbing needs. There was no short changing in the work they did, made sure the job was done right. Even after they had to wait for construction to be done before they could finish the job,there were still committed and supportive of me, with much patience. Thank you Blaine,Randy, and the sweet lady that answered my calls and questions. I recommend Pipe Down Services for a job well done.

Well, the service provider BLEAD all over our bathroom and didn't clean it up nor did he follow basic blood spill/communicable disease safety. UNACCEPTABLE.I have photos to show the amount of blood left all over my countertop and cabinets.

Very Poor Service and Customer Service. Technician Randy arrived on site to stop a reported toilet leak from American Home Shield. I explained that the leak was coming from both the shut-off valve and the toilet where the toilet continues to run water. He replaced the ball and flapper but not the valve leading to the toilet. I explained that it was leaking as well, as he witnessed. He stated that the valve typically leaks when turning on and off however he would not replace; instead he tightened to bonnet. I again asked him to replace because of the previous reported leak and he didn't. Less than a week later, I have water leaking thru the floor from the valve. Called the company and they refuse to rectify the issue without another work order request from American Home Shield. Do Not Recommend!

My toilet was leaking and flooded half of my bathroom. I called American Home Shield and Pipe Down was contracted through them. I was told this was a main line clog but they could not locate my main line. They said the clog would need to be accessed through a roof vent but they do not provide this service. I called my regular plumber who is not contracted through AHS and he found the main line and fixed it immediately. The plumber from Pipe Down barely looked and almost had me schedule an unnecessary access service which would have cost me a lot of money. I only paid a $75 service fee but I want a refund.

We had a very serious issue with both outdoor and indoor pipes. Several plumbing companies and 2 months later, we found Pipe Down and our problems have been resolved! Larry and John knew exactly what to do. They worked hard, explained the problem and got it done. These are honest, hardworking and extremely knowledgeable guys!

Had a great experience with Larry that went to one of our homes for a water heater issue. The previous plumber that was sent before Larry from a different company was a complete dipshit and had no clue what the hell he was talking about. Larry took his time, found the source of the problem and it ended up being a very easy and inexpensive fix. However, one thing that bothered me about this service call was that Larry was amazing at finding the solution, however he didn't bother to ask if we wanted Pipe down plumbing to fix the issue. He assumed since American Home shield wouldn't cover the parts needed for the fix he just told us what the problem was and left it up to us to fix it. If he would have asked on the spot, I would have paid him to fix the problem even if the Home warranty wouldn't have covered it. Just ask next time Larry.

Filed a claim with my home warranty in which the services were covered. First of all the technician, BLAINE was his name, was supposed to arrive starting at 8AM but never showed up. Mind you we have a camera in front of our house. Claims he would come back after his next service call. After refusing to answer my phone calls and turning his phone off he finally calls me back 45minutes later stating he was on his way! WOW - what a quick service call to the other address. When he finally did arrive he walks to the bathroom where the clog was at and walks around the house and said nope he couldn't fix it. You will have to call someone else. I'm in the process of reporting this to BBB and the home warranty. I would NEVER recommend this company EVER!!!

I would love to give a negative rating but I have to give a star to even say my feelings on this. We had a service call through our home warranty that was put in wrong. We explained that it was not a faucet issue but a draining issue. He said he could not fix anything not on the service call. I understood and called American Home shield to have them redo the service call to the draining issue. He acted as if I was asking him to do work for free or work that was not covered... i was getting the work order changed for him. He then said he did not have time for drainage issues today and so I told him I did not need him to fix my faucets and he left. After a few minutes he just walks through my front door and storms up and says to sign a work order that he had tried to fix stuff and I refused. He never once touched anything but his phone to call his boss about the work order. He was rude and had not respect at all. I called to complain about his service and attitude to his boss and the boss was a bigger jerk than the technician needless to say I will never do business with them again. I called my home warranty company and had them send a different company out. This is a sorry excuse for business practices.

Update:Deleted old review as Pipedown has done a lot to correct the situation.It seems I had some bad luck or had some bad misunderstandings with Larry when he first came to my house to evaluate a dead hot water heater after I reported the problem with my home warranty (American Home Shield). I was not at all happy with what Larry had told me he would be willing to do and what he would need me to do on the job. I was not going to use pipedown due to these issues and had AHS send out another service provider to evaluate and do the job.Long story short AHS wont change the job because both plumbers agree on what needs to happen...the hot water heater needs to be replaced....Which I already knew and told AHS...Randy called me to discuss the problems I had with the original information I was given by Larry and actually took the time to explain what they thought needed to happen and why. He really turned around my opinion of Pipedown. I must have caught Larry on a bad day or something.Haven't had the service completed yet but I can say Pipedown does care about their existing and potential customers and have impressed me with their willingness to listen to concerns/complaints.I'll update this review again when the service has been completed.

Be very very careful with this plumber. When creating a service request for AHS warranty be specific to not send the request to this company and they do consider. I have done this in the past with a different company. But we need to request that they not send to this company in the beginning itself when creating the service request over the phone. The problem is if this plumber cannot fix something they will write in their report a reason that will be used by AHS warranty company as this reason is not covered by warranty. Once that reason is put that's it AHS warranty will not fix it. This plumber knows for what reasons something will not be fixed by AHS and will use that reason instead of saying they will not be able to fix. Because if they say they will not be able to fix something they will look bad in AHS view. For example for us the toilet handle came off. This is something that happened to many of our friends. But this plumber wrote in their report that the toilet handle was broken because we used excessive force. Come on people use toiler everyday several times a day and it is normal wear and tear, instead of saying normal wear and tear, the plumber wrote it broke because of excessive force and that's it AHS said because of excessive force it is not covered. Anyway we asked for second opinion and they are sending a second plumber. We had this happen in the past for a different issue with water heater and the second company gave a different analysis and AHS fixed it. Be extremely careful with this company shady practices.

Update to my previous post (which I've deleted). I finally got a call that the part was in and I was being fit in between 8-12 the same day of the call. While it was inconvenient (I was literally pulling out the garage), I was able to stay home to meet the technician. He was there within 2 hours of my call and was able to fix the leak in our sink. He told me that he was on the verge of just ordering and installing a new fixture a week before my part arrived to which I asked well why didn't you? They wanted to give Moen a chance to replace the part so it would be covered by their lifetime warranty. He did also inform me that once my fixture becomes discontinued, if anything happens, I will get upgraded to a new fixture from Moen, still covered by the lifetime warranty at no additional cost to me. I feel a bit better knowing when it fails again, it's fully covered.

American Home Shield contracted this company to fix a leaking sink and leaking shower. Tech showed up and had a very CAN'T do attitude. Finally said they would have to order fixtures and replace. One and a half months later they called to schedule install; showed up with a different sink fixture and no shower. My wife was able to find the same sink fixture on the internet in five mins. They said they have no plan for the shower. Complete waste of time and zero initiative to get the job done. Spoke with manager at company and he said this is a home warranty issue. If that's the case it would be helpful to have a manager or someone speak the home owners in order for them to address the issue and not find fault with subcontractors

The Pipedown in Waco is the worst plumber that I have ever had to deal with. Do not waste your money or time authorizing this company to come out. He was rude and condescending. Speaking to me as if I were a beggar and could not afford his fees. He told me that the work order that i put in was wrong and that I would have to pay another service fee for him to come back out. I told him that I was not a plumber. But I didnt think that it could be any simpler to ask for a shower fawcet to be fixed. This is a company that works for American Home Shield. I think they try to scam you into getting the service fee without doing any work at all. He tried to tell me just about everything was not covered. I have a contract that says these plumbing problems are covered. I talked to American Home Shield and the issue we have is covered!

Finally an honest company that makes sure their customer is informed and satisfied. Larry was our tech and although we had no coverage for faucets in our plan he checked the manufacturer's website and discovered it had a lifetime warranty and ordered the parts which were free! When they came in we called to advise him and he came out and installed for a very reasonable charge! They care and they know what they're doing. Thanks Bill F in Austin Tx!!!

I just am thankful for Pipe Down Service Inc. ! I was attempting to cancel my appointment because my husband had reset our hot water heater. But, I was being burned by the scalding hot water. I ask the technician several questions and he informed me that the thermostat was going out and by hitting the reset button over and over, my husband was going to burn out the wiring. This would do a lot of damage and cost a lot more than $75. I am so grateful!

John was outstanding. He analyzed the problem and made every possible attempt to resolve the situation accurately and expeditiously. My toilet was a Briggs and Stratton circa: 1998 with a tank retrofitted by the manufacturer from 3.0 gpf to 1.6 gpf (due to the law change). To accomplish this, B&S inserted an inner tub made of plastic with a proprietary FluidMaster component trademarked as Vacuuity Flush.This unit was installed as original equipment when we purchased our home new in 1999. We never ever had a problem until a month ago when the tank started leaking into the bowl.John thoroughly inspected the fixture and voila!—the plastic insert developed a hairline crack which was causing the leak. Easy fix: Remove and Replace... BUT those tanks are no longer manufactured by B&S and replacement components are no longer available.As such, AHS authorized a toilet replacement and installation. John handled the installation in less than an hour. Pipedown Plumbing did NOT disappoint. I highly recommend them and American Home Shield.

Called American Home Shield for a gas leak problem. Appointment was set tech called when in the way and hung up on me. When he called back he was rude and condescending. He got to my home and was even more rude in person to my 18 year old daughter. I called the office to tell them how rude he was and the office called the tech while he was still in my home and then the office called me back to give me “his side of the story”. My daughter had to wake my husband who works nights and the attitude changed. He did absolutely nothing except advise that he would have to cut up several of my walls and then left. ZERO STARS. I’m calling my warranty company to request a change.

American Homeshield had John with Pipe Down come out to check the water heater. He had a bad attitude the moment he drove up. He couldn't see the information so the moment he left the house he cancelled the order and didn't even bother to call me. We had Mr FIx It came out and took care of the problem. ?

The workers completed the job quickly and saved us thousands of dollars (that we don't have!) by advocating for us with the warranty company to cover our huge repair. We just moved in here in September and have already accrued so much unexpected debt that we were in panic mode when the leak sprung. The guys getting it fixed and paid for today was truly an answer to prayer. They weren't able to just fix the leak, b/c so much of the piping was crumbling. Because of their negotiation with the warranty company, we got a better resolution than we expected - half of the house now has new piping. Thanks Pipedown, for our Christmas blessing!

Larry from Pipe Down Services was a very pleasant man to work with. He took time to explain both the problems and the solutions. He was very professional and knowledgeable and did not hesitate to answer any of my questions. He was very thorough and efficient. I would highly recommend Larry and this company to anyone!

The plumber showed up to my residence hasty and unprofessional as far as his customer service skills. He did not introduce himself he just very quickly explained that my home owners insurance would not pay to fix the problem I was having with my garbage disposal and if I wanted to replace it I had to pay him $245.00. He then walked out if my residence and closed the door in my face. I went out to ask the service man what he was going to do? His response was I am going to write you a bill and go down the street (referring to his next call). The interaction after that followed was strange to say the least my Christian back ground stopped me from becoming very upstate with this man. I do not recommend this company and based completely on my interaction with this man. I would never refer them ton any one.

I have AHS and they sent Pipe Down to replace our disposal and kitchen faucet. Larry was friendly and professional and did a great job. Pipe Down was very communicative.

By far the most professional technician that I have dealt with through American Homeshield. Larry looked at all possibilities and identified the problem that the previous company did not take the time to look at for my water heater. The previous company/technician was inly concerned about hos 75.00 co-pay.

Less than 1 star!Guy (never introduced his self) went to my mothers house and had the worst attitude and most unprofessional manner. Was called for a shaking toilet (not broken)...guy went in tore up the toilet and left it there saying there was nothing he could do. Wanted to charge my mother $275 for absolutely nothing and have her sign a waiver just in case somebody decides to use it. I recommend staying faaaaar away from this company! Btw, toilet is now broken and guy will not fix his mistake!

Pipe Down Services in Waco was very professional from scheduling the appointment to completing the job. They always made us feel like we were a top priority. We are very pleased with the job they did.

This company is contracted with American Home Shield. These people are a complete waste of time. Came to my house to fix a stoppage. Couldn't find a clean out and just left. Im glad you got my money. You will never get another dime from me. Next time I call AHS. I will make sure they do NOT send you.

Larry showed up on time and was very helpful. Not only did he address the broken water heater, he provided a much better system and gave us useful information we needed for the future. Left things tidy when he left as well.

Wish I could give -5, the guy they sent was HORRIBLE!!! Everything he said was WRONG (I got a Real Plumber to verify what their guy said - turned out not to be accurate). When I called the manager I was told 'I don't know what you want me to say'. So know I have to fight my Home Shield bc of what this guy wrote.But don't worry, I'm telling EVERYONE!!!! I asked for the plumbers license # - didn't get it. Tried calling today got VM, I'll keep trying until I get his license # so I can turn him in to Tx State Board with written proof from 2 other Plumbers. I want my $75 back and I want him to write the TRUTH in his report....

Pipe Down Services is always prompt with their visits. They are professional, both on the phone and during the visit. And they are always able to fix our plumbing issues.

this company is not that I was hoping for. we needed help and got nothing but rudeness. I have already complained to my warranty company not to call them for my home issues. bad experience. I have to give them 1 star just so I can post.

Impossible to reach on the phone. Fixed a leak at my house and it’s back 2 days later. Hire somebody to answer your phones so that you can better serve your customers.
