If I could give Old South Texas Plumbing ten stars I would. I went through MANY “master plumbers” in an effort to fix the yard leak I had outside in my front yard. Many plumbers including SAWS came to my home to check the leak. The most they found was the leak did not belong to me. Nothing else, no one wanted to investigate. Maybe 1/5 plumbers told me they would charge 1000 to fix, without any idea how or telling me exactly what was wrong. For two weeks I had this huge puddle growing. I was out of hope , then I was given Michaels number. I was skeptical to call at first because I was afraid to hear the same thing … “ it’s not your leak “.. without anyone finding a solution for me. God must have sent Michael and O.S.T to me because as soon as he heard my situation, he assured me he would find a solution for me, AND HE DID! From the moment he arrived, he assessed the problem. It wasn’t easy but he got it fixed !!! Thank you! Forever grateful, thank you for making me feel comfortable. A lot of plumbers take advantage of women and people who know nothing about plumbing. I gave him a three star only because he was friendly, otherwise it would have been less. When my wife first spoke with him he told her that he would reach out to us on Monday. Did not hear from him. Called him and he said he would be at our house on Wednesday, no show. I called him to see if he even wanted to do the job, he said he would be here Thursday. He showed up but in my opinion did not come prepared for the job. It took him longer than it should have (almost 5 hours). The water heater could not be drained properly because of the calcium plugging the spout. If it hasn’t been for me to come up with the idea of a ramp to slide the unit down from where it sat. I honestly don’t know what he would have done. He made the comment, if this works I may have to go out and buy one of these. So I don’t think this situation ever happened to him before. Not to mention I had to help, I thought I was paying him to do the job. Last but not least he quoted us a price on the phone, when everything was all said and done he charged us over $400.00 dollars more than what he quoted us. He didn’t explain why the increase in price. Would I recommend him…sorry no

I am glad there are still honest people out there. Mike and his team were professional and courteous beyond approach. Second to none when it came to explaining to my wife and I what was found and what to expect. We are so satisfied we have made him our only call when it comes to plumbing. Reliable plumbers that don’t just spot fix an issue. We wasted tens of thousands of dollars on Roto Rooter, and it was just never worth it in the end. Just cut out the mess and call these guys
