I had a great experience from the very beginning during the scheduling process up to completion of service. Every person I spoke to was extremely friendly and professional. Shout out to our electrician who serviced us, Steve. What a nice guy. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He made sure that we were happy with every installation and was more than happy to readjust the chandelier when I wasn’t sure which height I was happy with. Steve took the time to complete the job properly and safely and even cleaned up afterwards and took all of the empty boxes, old light fixtures, and trash with him to dispose of. Very professional company with the best customer service. I would recommend this to anyone needing electrical work done. Thank you, Mr. Sparky and Steve!

Justin was very professional and on time. He evaluated the work that was needed and explained the process. He gave me estimates broken down by each service before start of the job. He promptly fixed everything and we reviewed after to make sure everything was functional. He emailed me everything including future estimates. Over all he was great. I’ll recommend them.

Mr.Raidel was very professional,friendly didn't spend time trying to upcharge for things I didn't ask for.He also explained what he was doing as he worked he told me things I didn't know.He pretty much saved the day and corrected what another company did the day before and assured me that I was in good hands and man he was right I would recommend this company to more people job well done!

It was a pleasant experience! I was not sure if I needed items replaced or what parts may cost. Steven was VERY nice and HONEST. Didn’t take long for him to figure out what was going on. He was honest enough to let me know it was the old appliances I was using in my garage that were tripping the plugs off. it turns out I didn’t need anything but new appliances. Richard was very professional and personable. The company worked around my hours of availability. They were able to schedule me for a next day appointment. I didn’t get estimates from other companies so I can’t comment on the charges. I’m very satisfied and would use their services again.

These people were great to work with. A tree fell down in the backyard, taking a power line with it, and there was a lot to be done not only to get the broken parts set back up, but also get this 40-year-old house get back up to code.Raidel was working around the clock every step of the way, being informative, friendly, and caring. John at Mr. Sparky did a superb job in checking our faulty outlet. He found some burnt wires which could have easily started a fire in our home. He then arranged for us to receive the installation of the sub par breaker box the next day. Jeremy did that work and was equally superb! The job took the day, and Jeremy did excellent work. Both men were professionals who provided clear explanations of the problems, the solutions, and exactly what to expect. We now have an electric company for life.

We gave 5 star to this company not just for how good and professional their staff is, but also how their customer service is. Our house strike by the lighting, Rodell come to fix our electric. He is patient and professional, even though we had some misunderstanding, they solve the issue quick and responsible and honest. This kind of company deserves more and more business. Conscientiousness becomes the man! It was a terribly cold day. Yet, Steve arrived on time, made a quick assessment of what was needed, promptly offered a couple of option quotes, and, got down to work. He knew enough and more about each item. He was also very thorough and systematic as he moved from item to item. It got late in the evening but he was determined to complete the entire project. It was even colder outside where the electrical meter had to be replaced. I was wondering how long he could go on but he was unfazed. At the end we went over each item and the specific work done. I was highly satisfied. Important things in my house had been fixed for a safe future.Steve has a great personality. He immediately puts you at ease. He takes pains to explain what the issue might be, why it is not good to leave it that way, and then what the options are. No pressure to go with high-priced solutions as there are tiers of choices. You know you are getting the best at a price you can afford. Very impressed with Steve. He is a top class professional who does not cut corners but reserves his best for you. I was a little hesitant to call a service company, but I had a circuit breaker tripping and needed help on the weekend. Electrician arrived timely and stayed until we figured out the root cause. Provided my regular updates and gave good clarity on cost and steps and made sure I understood. A surprisingly great experience, and my power is back up and going again!

Electrician came at promised time. We discussed options for installing a chandelier from three wire ropes. After quite a bit of back and forth, he quoted us a price and got to work. The job presented unexpected challenges, but he persevered and left us with a working lamp the looks good. Worth the money.

Can't say enough about Mister Sparky Electric! Super responsive, was at my house in about an hour! Total panel replacement! Never felt pressured, was presented with 3 options with explanations of each! Text msgs let me know who was coming and when! Took nearly the whole day, clean panel install, no trash left behind! Highly recommend. (Not their fault, but some things are expensive, so be ready for some sticker shock if this is your first time doing something like this!)

Did not do any service. Called for the trip charge which was quoted $69.00. When tech got there. He asked for $289.00!!!! Sent him away.

I had originally given them a very positive review because the technician was very professional. After some research, I realized they installed $420 worth of breakers and charged $1600 In the hour of service and a poor 1 year limited warranty. I would recommend finding significantly better pricing through other companies.

Great job doing outlet repair and installation. Installed a ceiling fan including a stint in the attic for additional bracing. Always professional and courteous. Pricey but they’ve done extensive work for us over the last couple years and I wouldn’t think of using anyone else.

Our business was closed due to equipment malfunction causing loss of electricity. We had an urgent need for repairs, and Clint along with his coworker Kyle, were able to source the new equipment and make the repairs that same day. We appreciate being able to re-open the next business day.

I’ve used Mister Sparky in the past, and had been very satisfied with them. With a recent move, we had a breaker that needed to be changed. I called Mister Sparky yesterday morning, and had plans for 1:30 PM.Thomas T. was able to get to the house within 2 hours, find out the problem, and replace the breakers that needed to be replaced. He also added a total home surge protector. The office, and Thomas kept in touch with me as he was in route to my house. They also sent a picture and his credentials along with the appointment confirmation. Thomas T. Was very polite, professional. He explained and SHOWED me the breaker issues as he found them.I would DEF definitely recommend the company and Thomas T.

Thomas was very thorough when reviewing our electrical issuesHe discovered the problems and then resolved them, making sure we understood his recommendations as he answered any questions we had. A review of our 23 year old electric panel indicated a need for safety upgrades , repairs and a new GFC. He was extremely professional and friendly and completed the repairs and upgrades in the projected amount of time. He thoroughly cleaned up the area and then assured us that his work is guaranteed for a year and to call if there were any problems. I would highly recommend Mr. Sparky and Thomas, our assigned technician. I would also request him in the future for any other repairs we might need.

I called Mr. Sparky they showed up the same day. Justin was our electrician, he was very knowledgeable and he walked us through each estimate explaining everything to us as to what we needed and why we needed it. He was very professional and finished quickly. I will def recommend this company.

Very good installation, on time, very nice technicians both on August 2018 and on August 2022. We had a new electric box installed, wiring in the kitchen to handle the electric load safely, and new up to date electric plugs installed. Great service. However: One question concerning the warranty of the HEPD80 Square D home electric surge protector’s warranty. The one installed in 2018 has a 5 year warranty. It went out so I called for help to get it replaced. Mr Sparky Electric told me to call the surge protector maker, Schneider Electric, to get the warranty replacement. Since it was purchased by Mr Sparky, Schneider referred me back to Mr. Sparky Electric. I was stuck between the two companies and could not get from Mr Sparky help for 4 weeks. Finally, another call to Mr Sparky Electric and Albert was kind enough to get a replacement in the same day as my call for help. However, the new surge protector comes with a 5 year warranty. Mr. Sparky refuses honor the warranty of the new part and will only give me the one year left on the old device. I would be willing to pay them for installing a warranties part in the future. They shut me down and treated me as though my questions were inappropriate, questioning my personal standards. I have been professional in my requests. I felt the intended sting from these written comments on my invoice.

Our smoke detector system was quite outdated and not functioning properly. It was upgraded and checked to ensure proper operation throughout the house.The Service Tech was courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and prompt. He explained everything in detail to us both before and after the work was performed.The cost was reasonable.

Called Mister Sparky out for a general visit to quote us for the items needing to be repaired after just purchasing our home. We had some electrical panel issues and a grounding rod needing to be properly installed. Neil B arrived and man, what a great guy! He thoroughly walked my husband through everything going on with the electric panel, showed him what was happening and gave clear, knowledgeable suggestions on what should be done. We were very pleased with his service and the repairs he did make. Although we are not repairing/replacing everything at this moment, we will be using Mr. Sparky in the very near future and requesting Neil B back to our property! Thank yall!

Steve did an excellent job. We lost power in the neighborhood shortly after he started but that didn’t stop him from getting the work done. It was getting hot outside but Steve pushed on. Lane our service rep was really amazing. He came in very professionally and diagnosed our problem. Explained it so that we could all understand what the implications were for the repairs and helped us to make sure he left our house better than he found it. At first we were told it may be a little while for them to be able to fit us in the schedule but they were able to accommodate us and give us an earlier time. It was really great.

On Memorial Day of all days after center point decided to send a surge to go through out my whole house compromising most appliances to include my ac unit! Clint showed up on time very helpful and dedicated to understanding the problem I was dealt with. With in 24 hours had just fix it ( ac guys ) in my house rectifying the bad hand I was dealt. With quickness and precision had a new meter box, breaker box, new breakers, labeled breaker box , and an entire ac system from the unit to the furnace and everything in between! I stayed my a room after power was restored with a window unit and not once did I witness the crew not working ! Very impressed and would recommend to anyone and everyone!!!

Four GFCI receptacles not working in kitchen. Paid the $69 service fee only to tell me upon arrival it would be $619 to tell what the problem is. This is a scam by profesional artists. Strongly disagree with company model. Strongly advise a different company.WayneCypress TX

Brian was awesome. We needed a new outlet under our cabinet for a gas stove we installed and another company suggested it could be five, but would require tons of work. Brian, with Mr. Sparky, was able to accomplish what I needed quickly and at a very reasonable costs while maintaining safety standards for the new plug. Very happy customer!

They came the same day and did a great job. One of my lights had just come loose and was hanging by the wires. He replaced the mounting box with a metal one to replace the builder's cheap plastic one that failed and reinstalled the chandelier type light. Great Job. Great quality. Looks great.

He thoroughly evaluated what needed to be done, then reviewed everything with me and gave us the total cost. We accepted, and asked him to start.Michael completed the work, then showed me everything he did to assure me that all was working well. Always get great service with Mr. Sparky and they warranty their work. The lady who answered the phone to schedule an electrician was incredibly helpful. The electrician, Kyle, was polite and went above and beyond to fix our floor outlet. He also gave us fair estimates for additional work we need to have done.

Justin was awesome! He came to install 2 Google camera floodlights in the cold while hanging on to his ladder in the wind. He completed the work rather quickly (luckily for him ?) and then offered to help me set the cameras up.We couldn't get them setup while he was here (in-house issue) but he was very patient in trying to help. Before he left, he obviously did a little up selling but it was done very respectfully and not pushy at all.All in all, I will definitely have Mister Sparky do more work for me in the future!

He took the time to show me what I needed and what the cost difference would be if I bought them myself for him to install rather than purchase them through Mr. Sparky for a savings of almost $200.

I have to say that my experience with Mister Sparky was amazing. Our 220 line went out in the middle of the night, effectively killing both our A/C and all our major appliances. I was able to call that night and make an appointment for the next day. William, the technician who came out was punctual and professional. The job he needed to do was pretty involved and required a lot of moving parts and other contractors. He coordinated them all and got the job finished the same day. I liked that he explained what needed to happen repair-wise in a way that made sense to someone who knows next to nothing about electrical work. I can see why this company has so many 5-star reviews and after my experience today, I’m happy to add mine to the list. I would recommend them to anyone. Seriously cannot say enough good things!

After my brief explanation of my wiring issue, Clint opened the breaker box and assessed the probable problem and possible cause. His diagnosis was correct as power was again restored to our dual-fuel range. Our backup power generator breaker had failed so we were getting only partial power from the 220 breaker controlling the range. I had very good service from Mr. Sparky. I had gone to Home Advisor and someone called me within a minute! The service technician, Sean, was very professional, nice and courteous. He thoroughly explained certain things that should be updated but didn't pressure me by insisting that anything was an emergency. He did a great job on the repair I called about. In my opinion, the charges were pricey, but I feel confident that the work was done correctly.

We had to have a number of things fixed/installed, including a new electrical panel. Neil was out pint of contact and Ryan did the labor. Both were very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. Ryan was fast and did a great job on everything. Power outage was minimal. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The staff was very professional in their approach to their work, and in recommendations made to make my house safer and more up-to-date. If there were an option, staff presented that option to me so I could make a decision while work was ongoing . We used this company after doing research on multiple companies in the area and deciding this one was the best fit. We originally had Tony come out perform the electrical work needed to install a generator plug on the outside of our home. Within hours of his work being completed we began experiencing new electrical issues in our home. Our home is less that’s two months old and we have never before experienced ANY issues.We immediately alerted the office and they had Tony back out again. He looked at everything again and replaced some breakers. We continued to experience this same issue. We again contacted Tony and he suggested it was due to other things, not the work he had performed. He was not helpful or professional while speaking with him. He basically said the only thing he could do was charge us for a diagnostic test to find the issue. I asked him to contact my husband with his trouble shooting ideas but he stopped returning texts.We had a third appointment the following morning from 9-12. I got multiple confirmation emails and texts for this appointment. No one showed, so my husband called Tony at 12:00 to ask if he was coming. Tony said no. There was nothing he could do to fix it and was refusing to try again. No one called to cancel this appointment ahead of time, he just decided not to show. I immediately called the office and they were helpful in agreeing to send out a different technician to help.We had Albert out, and he was very friendly and helped to review the work that was done to see if he could find an issue. We won’t know for a little while if the same problem keeps happening so I don’t know if it’s been fixed, but I appreciated Albert’s professionalism and he didn’t try to blame us, the customer.

John was very upfront with us and was great to interact with. He installed an LED light fixture for us and did checkpoints along the way ensure we liked the position and height. I felt the quality of service and professionalism was great!

Extremely frustrating experience. These service providers completely lost sense of reality. With all the information at hand we have today expect a customer to accept to pay for 1 day worth of a qualified electrician and roughly $600.00 at best, on material cost, a total of $4,500.00. It is just under estimating anyone’s ability to exercise good judgment. The technician was on time and professional but the price is exorbitant and completely out of reality.

Dealing with Mister Sparky was a very enjoyable experience. No sooner had I submitted a request for service (and it was almost midnight) I received a phone call and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. Drew arrived on time and was very efficient and polite. I needed an outside fixture replaced, but wanted to check the wiring first. After I purchased the fixture I called to have Drew come back and install it. Again, I had an appointment for the next day, and he was even earlier than my window. Light works. No complaints. I have no reservations about calling Mister Sparky again should the need arise.

I am on home oxygen (which uses electricity) and it was pretty much an emergency to get my power restored after an outlet blew and tripped the breaker and the whole house lost power. I wasn’t able to fix it and sure enough Mr. Sparky came to the rescue pretty fast. He was professional and personable and explained the repair process and when he left I understood what he did and why he did it and the consequences if I didn’t make some upgrades. (Old house, big sparks, no bueno). I would definitely use them again.

Great troubleshooter! We had a few issues, one of which was lights turning on and off by themselves. It was due to several different factors, and he made sure we understood exactly what he was doing, why it was causing trouble, and what he was going to do to fix it. We ended up needing a new main ground rod for the house, in addition to several breakers in our main panel which needed resizing, and some individual switching issues. William was very respectful, tidy, and considerate, both of me and my time. Very good experience!

Rating based on no one coming. Can’t say how the service was. I scheduled a week out for an AM appointment. I received a text confirming if I wanted AM or PM that same day. Which I of course confirmed AM. The day of the appointment no one showed. I contacted them and they said at that point it was an all day appointment. They then call to confirm they they will be there from 2-3PM. I haven’t had to had to wait at home all day for service since the late nineties. Please update your scheduling system or don’t overbook your employees. So if I had confirmed a PM appointment would you have shown up the next day or maybe 10PM? Rethink your business plan and put the customers first.

We had called another local electrician to come out for our emergency service and 7 hours later he still hadn’t shown up. We called Mister Sparky and someone was at our house in an hour. Robert was very honest and informative. He was able to do some of the work that night (at 10pm) and is coming back to finish the job in a day or so. So far we are happy with our service and should have called them first.

The Service Pro arrived in a timely manner, was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions thoroughly. He fixed my problem and his experience showed because it was a challenging issue. Excellent experience. I called for a collection of smaller issues that I had been sort of saving up and had an electrician at my house two hours later, right at the start of my appointment window. He did a good evaluation of my issues and offered a fair estimate with no pressure. I have a degree in physics, though not enough practical expertise to do the repairs myself. Xavier explained everything to me very clearly so I understood exactly what was going on and why I had the problems. In the process of fixing the things I had requested he also found a safety issue with one of my circuit breakers, and he fixed that too. He even adjusted my smoke detectors, which I always have trouble reaching. This is the second time I have used Mr. Sparky, and both times the electrician showed me major safety issues that I was unaware of. (Again, these are legit-I know the science!). I highly recommend them for fast service, clear explanations, and never pushing me to get services I’m not prepared to pay for.

I am very pleased with the detailed information Ryan Booth provided on his visit. I had wired smoke detectors that were going off even after battery was changed. I called the dispatch center early morning and was able to get appointment within a couple of hours. While he was here I had him check other electrical issues that had been bothering me. We went through all my options and I did not feel pressure to buy or upgrade anything. I am happy with the service he provided and he is a good representation to Mister Sparky.

Mister Sparky was able to send an electrician within two hours of my calling to replace an outlet and restore power to my refrigerator. He found the source of the problem and replaced the outlet. He did a great job of explaining what he was doing and made sure everything was working before he left.

I had a small electrical issue with some can lights I had installed all over the house. On one of the switches, the lights would not come up to full power. I called Mister Sparky around 9:30 and they said they would have someone out between 10:00 and 1:00. 12:40 came around and I had not heard anything so I called to see if they were still coming. They apologized profusely and promised someone would be here by 2:30. At 2:07 Daniel showed up. I didn’t think it was a big deal because there was some bad weather going on at the time. Daniel very quickly diagnosed what the issue was and he went over pricing. He mentioned that there was a service fee for the appointment and I asked if, since they were late, if they could wave the fee. He then told me there would be no charge for any of the work since they did not make the appointment time! I could not believe that...a company that actually takes appointment times seriously. I still offered to pay for the work and he wouldn’t let me. The work was fantastic, Daniel was VERY professional, fun, and a pleasure to have over. He thoroughly went through the entire house electrical system, made pointers on things that needed to be corrected, and stayed until everything was completed. All in all I am very satisfied with the work. They did such a good job, I feel bad not paying them, and I appreciate the fact that they value my time and honor their on time policy. I will use Mister Sparky and request Daniel for all my future electrical needs.

Several outlets on a circuit stopped working suddenly in our home. I assumed the circuit breaker had thrown, but it hadn't so I called Mr. Sparky. Four hours later, Justin was at our home troubleshooting and discovered a loose neutral wire connection in a junction box in the attic that had been improperly installed by a contractor I used last year to install a vent fan. Justin reinstalled the junction box according to code along with another from the previous contractor that was an accident waiting to happen. Justin recommended several other fixes to our 1960's era house to bring it up to code and wasn't pushy when I declined. But it's nice to know what the issues are and to have them well documented. I'm very happy with the service Justin provided.

I wanted to share my recent experience with Sparky Electrician. I called in on Friday to schedule and appointment and spoke to Jessica. She set the appointment for Saturday, and no one arrived during the appointment time. They were having a technical issue with their system which caused issues with the scheduling. I called in and spoke to a manager and they were able to get someone out the same day. I am in the business of customer service and know things don't always go as smooth as you want them to go. Technician was on time, friendly and respectful. He answered my questions fully and made recommendations when I asked. He knew what he was doing. I had several smaller repairs in the house and a whole-house surge protector upgrade. He cleaned up after his work, you can't tell he was ever here except for the improvements to the lighting and wall switches.

I can't say enough positive things about Xavier V. of the Katy location. On time, communicative, patient, and performed quality work. The cost of the services performed was not difficult to bear, though I can imagine other customers may have a hard time with the prices of services performed. Joshua was great and very professional. He found the issues in my house within 5 minutes. The only thing he stumbled on was in my walk in closet that had a switch attached to two separate tube LED light fixtures. I had bought some with the correct specs and replaced two of them with no issue. When Joshua replaced the ballast on the second fixture the ballast got fried out; he replaced it with a new one which worked, but it caused a sizzling noise that lasted less than a second when the switch flicked on. Joshua wasn’t content with it and said he’d give me an LED upgrade for free which completely removes the ballast. He told me the lights will have a brief second delay when turning on, but other than the annoyance of the delay of the fixture he worked on, I noticed the color was different compared to the new bulbs I had installed a week ago next to it. He told me he put new bulbs in that’ll last and that the ones I bought won’t last longer than the ones he put in. When Joshua had left I did not like the discolored lighting in my closet and swapped out the ones he put in with the new ones I had purchased and they did not work even though they’re LED and are the same ones I installed next to the fixture that was worked on. Don’t get me wrong, Joshua is very professional and did his job in a timely matter, but I suppose without the ballast, these new bulbs he installed are the only ones that’ll work? I paid $557 dollars and I’m mostly satisfied with Joshua’s service, but nobody is perfect. Is there any way I can get a working ballast that I paid for and that will not cause an issue with my LED lights? I did not want to leave a bad Google review because this company is very professional, but I’m just not satisfied with not having the same light contrast in my walk in closet. Thank you.Edit: I changed my rating to a 5 instead of a 4 due to getting my issue resolved in less than two hours after the service was performed. Great customer service. This will be my go to company when I do have further issues years or decades from now.

I have used Mister Sparky three times now. Each experience has been positive. From calling in with my needs/problems, to setting an appointment, to engaging with the electrician --- each phase went extremely well. Their customer service staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Every job was evaluated by the electrician, who made sure he understood what I needed and made helpful recommendations before writing up a detailed estimate. Both electricians kept at it until the job was done to my satisfaction. When the jobs was done (and after each had cleaned his work areas), the electricians walked through everything they had done, and made sure I approved of the work. Every final bill exactly matched the estimates. I have also used their services on an emergency weekend basis, and that job went smoothly, as well. I am definitely a happy customer.

Clint diagnosed and fixed a problem we were having with some GCFI circuits tripping when it rained or under heavy use. Provided a range of solutions from least expensive band aid to complete repair. Took care of everything. We have used Me Sparky before and they are awesome

Sam took just a few minutes to diagnose and fix the problem with our breaker panel. We had him install 3 smart light switches that I was going to eventually do. He was done with everything in an hour. A very nice guy who we would be happy to have work for us again.

My previous dealings with Mr Sparky were very positive. I needed a transfer switch wired into my main panel to allow my to power some essential circuits with an emergency generator. I got an estimate and was told to order the transfer switch and make an appointment when it arrived. I made the appointment more than a week in advance. I had been told by the technician that the job would take most of the day. The night before I received a call asking me to confirm the appointment, which I did. The day of the appointment I got up early and moved my truck out of the garage to allow easy access to the panel. I waited all morning and heard nothing. Around 1:30 pm I called and expressed my concern that the job was to take most of the day and I had not received a call. The call taker told me the electrician had to go back to a job he had not finished the previous night. He gave me the option of rescheduling but I opted to wait longer. By 3:30 pm I still had heard nothing. I called to cancel the appointment. The call taker told me that the appointment window was from 6 am to 6 pm. I assume the expectation is that I quietly wait until 5:55 pm when the electrician would arrive and they would meet the appointment window but would not have time to do any work. I understand something coming up and even the need to reschedule. What I resent it that there was no effort to inform me of these events. The attitude seems to be that their time is valuable and mine is not. I am looking for a business that treats me as if they valued my business.

I am old client but I think the order of things was switched at this time. Instead of checking the connections of the doorbell first, he came right away stating that the issue was the transformer, after accepting to change transformer for almost $300 service, it became clear that it was not the problem. Then he said it was the ring doorbell device that I have for 6 years or so, and he left. I bought a new device and installed it. The new device is not making my shine ring either. Very disappointing that I spent money like I find them in a tree and the problem is still not fixed.

The service person was pleasant and very informative. There was a service charge which I knew about ahead of time. As a retired couple on a fixed income the service to replace the two valence kitchen lights in a house built in 1995 was quite pricey $598.00 that is including the service call of $59.00.

A power surge blew my whole house surge protector, and I lost power and I smelled smoke. I turned off the main breaker and called Mr. Sparky for an emergency appointment. Matt was at my house within a half hour, and the surge protector was replaced and panel switched on within another half hour. The fuse box is outside and it was raining to make things worse. I am grateful that Matt could get here so fast, and get everything back up quickly.

I called Mister Sparky to have some outdoor lamps replaced on my house and all my smoke detectors replaced. I was given a time frame between 7am-10am Wed 3/13/18. A representative called on that day saying Mr. Ryan and Mr. Trent will be arriving at 8am. I later received a text showing the picture of the tech. Both Mr. Ryan and Mr. Trent showed up on time. Both techs were very friendly and very thorough when they were checking my electrical boxes and wiring.Mr. Trent found a couple things wrong from the previous owners wiring the outdoor lamps. After going over everything, Mr. Trent wrote up three proposals on how they can go about fixing the issues. I liked this because i was able to save money and get everything i wanted done that day. He broke it down from highest to lowest cost and i selectod in the middle. I still had everything accomplished, but down the road i will be calling to have something else fixed. A project that they said i could wait and do at a later date. Mr. Trent did all the work and he was very clean and the workmanship is spot on!. Mister Sparky is a little on the high side, but their warranty on workmanship and products used are great. We tripped a breaker and couldn’t get it to reset in the kitchen. All of our major appliances were effected. Mathew arrived at our home earlier than quoted. He was very polite and efficient. He answered all of our questions and explained why we were experiencing the issue. The problem was corrected very quickly. He didn’t leave until he knew everything was in working order. I will be calling Mister Sparky again for any electrical needs.

Xavier was nice and professional. They cam out next morning when i initially called and they inspected and did work the same day. It was over 90 degrees outside and they had to dig a trench for the wire and everything. They got us back up and with power by 5:45pm the same day. I had a sick baby at home so we wouldnt go long without. Pricing was reasonable and they gave me options. Great work!

Clint was very prompt and when he got here very thorough and patient explaining things to both of us. He identified the immediate problem and corrected it. He dealt with the circuit breaker issue and found what was causing it to trip on my AC unit. He also found some issues that need to be addressed and we will soon. Michael did an excellent job helping us solve a grounding issue that was a concern for anything you plug in regularly. I had a particular issue involving the necessity of “conditioned” or “clean” power; which was immediately solved by replacing the grounding rod and acorn clamp. Took care of a couple other things while he was here. Very kind to stick around and make sure all our concerns and issues had been alleviated and solved. The main office confirmed our appointment by phone and email several days beforehand. Staff was pleasant and orally articulate. Our on-site technician, Jacob Sadler, was thorough, knowledgeable and clear when discussing our electrical issues, costs and warranties. Matthew was outstanding! We had a short which kept tripping our breaker from one of our furnaces. Our Heating and AC guy recommended we call an electrician. Matthew checked our breaker box and immediately showed me a burned out wire coming from the breaker that was tripping. He listened to our usage needs and the issues of other circuits tripping to decide if an analysis was needed and to come up with right solution for all of our problems. After analyzing the situation, he gave all options available - ones that he recommended and 4 different variations on solutions to our problem. He had to call an additional worker out, Xavier, to help get all the work done ultimately spending almost 2 days with us. They made sure we had power overnight and the morning to get ready for school/work. They minimized the amount of power outages and cleaned up after they were done. I will definitely ise them again if I need electrical work done and would not hesitate using them again!

I just had a diagnostic service by Anthony 12/18/2018 and have to say I was pleasantly pleased with his expertise. He was thorough in investigating the root of the problem, and found an outlet was blown out that we both initially overlooked. I was anxious about the overall cost, but everything was identified upfront before beginning work. If I have a problem in the future, I will most definitely utilize them!

Our home is from the 1950’s. The conductor box for our AC was corroded and was actually smoking. Mister Sparky was out within a few hours of our calling them. Besides the conductor box, the fuse box was very old and didn’t meet new regulations. Also, none of our surge protectors were usable. Carnell was here first thing the next morning. He had to move the conductor box and set up a new line for this. This involved having to dig a trench to the house. He also noticed that our main electrical line to our home was exposed. I immediately called the electric company and got it repaired. With all of this work, he was done by 4 PM. He was nice, professional, always aware of COVID protections, and really efficient. I cannot say enough good things about him and Mister Sparky.

Ryan my tech was on time and ready to go! He did a very thorough job of inspecting our electrical system and gave me several options on how to make the improvements we needed. He didn't try to up sell me on things we didn't really need. I'd use Mister Sparky again!

Great experience as always with Mr Sparky. Dan and Carnell were great. They tackled a big job together re-wiring GFCI outlets in kitchen, baths, and exterior; installing under cabinet lighting; putting in surge protectors; and replacing smoke alarms to bring them up to code. Couldn’t be happier with the job they did. They came up with solutions for all the issues I had, were professional, and cleaned up so you couldn’t tell work was done. One impressive note was that they made sure to leave the house as they found it. When a light fixture cover came loose from a second story chandelier due to the work done in the attic they took the time to get an extension ladder and make sure it was affixed properly. Over and above expectations! This was the 4th time I have used Mr. Sparky and I have always been pleased. I highly recommend.

I had an electrical issue with a light fixture at my home. I called Mr. Sparky 6 PM Wednesday evening. The appointment was scheduled for Thursday morning the next day. Neil, the electrician came to the house and we discussed the issues I was experiencing. Neil reviewed the pricing and then went to work and repaired the light fixture.The service was informative, courteous, professional. All elements of what he was doing or proposing was explained before proceeding. Neil did an full inspection of the electrical system of the home and offered recommendations. I highly recommend Mr. Sparky.

Excellent work, two outlets in kitchen stopped working, was not a GFI or a tripped breaker, it was a loose wire on a hidden outlet in the pantry. Also had a 240 outlet installed in garage. 10 plus repair work. If I ever need any electrical work done again I will ask for Neil B. to come do the work.

Mr. Sparky replaced our underground line a few years ago along with some other electrical work on our home. They were excellent then, but really did an outstanding job when we called them to let them know that Counterpoint told us it needed to be replaced again. They actually found the problem to be caused by installation of our neighbors pool, but covered the repair under warranty. Plus Matt and Tony and even the people on the phone were over the top with respect to great customer service. Couldn't ask for more!

Our technician, Neil, was able to get to our house before 9pm. Neil was professional and personable. He did a thorough and prompt job diagnosing and fixing the problem. I can't recommend Mister Sparky and Neil enough. Hopefully, I will never require their services again, but if I do I know that my electric will be in good hands!

Be very careful here.We engaged Mr. Sparky to provide a quote for replacement of eight light fixtures in our home. The resulting quote was nearly $3,600 *just for labor*. When asked to disclose their hourly labor rates in order to determine how they arrived at that number, they refused to disclose them. Thus, we had zero insight into the calculations they were providing.At the end, all we got was a $59 fee for the privilege of an over-inflated bid. Very disappointed. Would go to other electricians first who are willing to disclose their rates and be transparent, and would only come here after obtaining other bids.

When I called them for service they advised they charge a $59.00 trip fee which I was expecting. I told the woman I needed some rocker style switches replaced and asked if she had any kind of pricing for that service. She said no they would give me that when they came out....I knew better but made the appointment anyway because I was calling from work and couldn't spend the time calling around. Also, I had chose them from a Consumer Choice book sent to me so hoped they would be a good choice. They came out and quoted approximately $100.00 per switch! Came out to $1000.00 for nine switches. I was unaware electricians make approximately $1000.00 an hour. I could have been told this over the phone PRIOR to paying s $59.00 call out fee.

Sonny with Mister Sparky was 'on call' one hot Houston Sunday, in July, to trouble shoot an electrical problem associated with my home which was preventing the various HVAC systems to operate. Sonny arrived out to my home early Sunday morning with a great attitude and tools in hand.He quickly identified the problem, then provided a detailed service quote to fix the issue (which I accepted). He promptly began work. Sonny was very thorough and thoughtful in his work, always thinking ahead. His work was meticulous. He even took time to explain various elements (the how, what, why questions) about the electrical work being completed, which as a home owner I greatly appreciated. Sonny never stopped working and after 14 hours of continuous work (ending at 1am) he returned power back to my house which allowed my family to get their lives back to a normal routine. Sonny's great attitude and attention to detail never changed during the marathon project, which he tackled himself on that hot Houston Sunday. I highly recommend Sonny at Mister Sparky.

Was scammed out of paying the after hours trip charge. Technician didn’t properly explained his quote was led to believe it didn’t include any fixes. Supervisor called and told me he would call me back once he spoke to technician. 5 days later no phone call. Would definitely look somewhere else for service. It’s incredible that 200 was enough for them to lose a customer.

I cannot say enough positive things about Mister Sparky!!! I was having an issue with a bathroom light. I called our home warranty company and they sent out an electrician. The electrician they sent out totally messed everything up. He made a huge mess...literally! He also wanted to put holes in my wall to fix the issue. Ryan with Mister Sparky not only fixed everything that the other electrician messed up, but he didn't even have to put holes in the wall! Ryan explained everything to me and I understood exactly what he was saying. Please ask for Ryan when you use Mister Sparky. You will not regret it!

My technician was Baron. He replaced/installed a ceiling fan. He was very polite and professional. He was also very informative, and seemed happy to answer all of my questions and explain things I didn't understand.

We had electrical issues at the house. We found multiple electricians online but decided to go with Mr. Sparky. They arrived exactly on time, thoroughly explained their services, and quickly repaired the problem. Nina was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The service was a little expensive but worth it (you get what you pay for).I would recommend Mr. Sparky to anyone.

These guys did a panel replacement in the house we purchased and it was miswired which caused our water pump to fail and we had to replace another breaker because it was the wrong size.They responded to a previous review and said they would send someone out to take a look and he argued with me about it.They also said if we had any issues they would help take care of it but they won't return a call now...Also, check your prices... ~$4500 to do a panel replacement is way too high

Nina was awesome. Her customer service was impeccable. She explained everything to me and provided a clear and precise understanding of what the issue was at what was needed to remediate the situation. I appreciated her candor and honesty and I will recommend this company for future usage.

Mister Sparky is a good company but there are two reasons this Katy location is getting a 1 star from my end:1. Very inflated prices2. Management lack customer training and was very unprofessional. In my case I am referring to William from their management.So I needed a 50amp Generator interlock kit installed (not transfer switch). This required four parts: 50Amp inlet, interlock panel piece, and 50Amp trip switch + some wires. These parts are all available no more than $200 at home depot/lowes (Pics attached) + 2 hour Labor. My total bill from Mister Sparky = $1500+I made the mistake of putting my trust too much on them so I agreed for the job thinking that's probably how much these parts costs but when I saw these parts installed on my panel and searched the prices of these parts, I was floored to find out these parts only costs $176. So basically they charged me $1300 just for two hour labor job which is insanity. So I decided to reach out to their management on this:I get a call from William - Probably one of the worst customer support manager I've dealt with. After politely asking him for explanation, his summary was: Due to pandemic everything in the World is now inflated so they had to raise their prices to keep running their business etc. And he went on and on about how this job's cost was validated without any reference whatsoever. I was really mortified by this experience, regardless of how your your company is there was no way for him to explain charging $1300 on a 2 hour labor job even with a experience licensed electrician. Instead of rectifying the situation he made the conversation so awkward to a point where I just had to end the call due to his unprofessionalism and lack of customer training.I called a few other places around and they are charging half of what I payed. So I surely feel duped and stupid for trusting them to be fair. Lesson learned!So do your research, get more quotes before you decide to go with them.-Xavier M.

I call Mr. Sparky because I needed an additional outlet in my garage for a freezer. Tony arrived on time. His phone rang and he asked for permission to take the call. A few minutes later, Jacob arrived to help run a new line to my breaker box. The best thing was that all of the supplies were on their trucks ... No leaving to go and get a part.Was it expensive? Just a little bit more than I had budgeted. But I am NOT concerned about whether the work was done properly or according to building code. I've worked for builders for years so, doing it right the first time is important to me.Would I use them again? Yes. I feel safe with the work that was done. Bottom line. If you are having surgery - would you want the cheapest surgeon or the best? I vote for the best.

I had a small project, that required a few electrical changes. Lee, our electrician, was very thorough, and professional. We got along great, and Lee explained everything that needed to happen, and completed the tasks in an afternoon. I would recommend Mister Sparky, for anyone's electrical needs.

$350 for visit and diagnostic and issue not resolved. Called another service and they found the issue very quickly by looking at the ac unit outside. Removed the cover that protected the wires coming into the house and found mice damage had stripped wires causing the short circuit. $150 and issue resolved.I would not recommend Mr Sparky. Service rep was friendly but was not competent about electric issues or proper troubleshooting.

The Mr. Sparky technician, Sean, was professional and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained the work that he needed to do (install and new breaker panel) and why it was needed. My 23 year old breaker panel did not have a surge protector, so he installed that as well. Sean took care of the work in a timely manner and cleaned up afterward. I appreciated the immediate call from Mr. Sparky headquarters before Sean ever left asking if the work was done to my satisfaction...which it was.

I had a major electrical problem that was caused by hurricane Harvey. My power went out on Sunday and Mr Sparky had someone out on Monday morning. By the end of the day the problem was fixed. Neil did a fantastic job coordinator all the people he needed and getting the materials he needed to get the job done. Neil was very professional and explained everything. My technician, Shawn, came to my home within an hour of me calling for service. He quickly diagnosed that my doorbell was making a non-stop buzzing sound and that I need a new doorbell. He will return tomorrow to install the new doorbell for me. He has gone out of his way to help me, which I really appreciate.

The experience was all good. In the end $1200 to split my cable coax so I could relocate my router and connect my cable box was all the motivation I needed to do the job myself. Gladly paid the $49 service fee and after a trip to Lowe’s and Home Depot for less that $100 our wireless and cable is up and running. I will probably call Mister Sparky for a bid when I upgrade my electrical service but I will for sure have a couple of other bids to see if they are priced competitively.

I had a circuit with a couple of GFCI's that could not be reset, even after replacing the GFCI's. Without a familiar electrician to call, I found Mister Sparky online and was impressed with the reviews. So I called them. From the first call to the follow-up call after their licensed electrician Sam fixed my problem, the service was top notch. They exceeded my expectations. In particular, Sam was on time, very polite, very knowledgeable, and answered a lot of questions ... even when they did not pertain to the specific electrical problem that I called about. While I suspect that another company might have charged less, you get what you pay for. Not only was the problem repaired, the experience was pleasant!

He explained the problem and fixed it along with fixing an incidental safety hazard he spotted with a live wire I had lying on the floor.Will use them again if I need electrical services.

Our electrician Stephen expertly followed the clues from the outlet to the breaker box and back again. He thought he had tracked the gremlin down at the dining room light, but alas the power there ran true. Then again he was foiled at the shower exhaust. Did our brave hero concede defeat? I say nay! Finally, with the tenacity of a bloodhound he was able to locate the source of the issue.. hidden in the ceiling of the Master Bath... a secret junction box lay hidden inside the ceiling unknown to all.This junction box, beneath my partners office, very nearly put her in a literal hot seat. After exposing the dastardly fiend he was able to repair the damage and restore full voltage to the outlets and lights down the line. But did this legend ask for riches? For glory? No, just a diagnostic fee and a humble review amongst the multitudes.His name is STEPHEN, remember him if you are in need.

I have used Mr. Sparky several times. They are always very professional and knowledgeable and always arrive within the specified timeframe. We have had them to our home in the past for significant repair work to replace shoddy wiring and breakers (original to our home or caused by other companies) as well as to diagnose a series of other problems. Today, William was out to take care of a list of problems that I was sure would take him hours. He found a hidden GFI that was tripped and helped us out with a tricky fixture. He was gone in 30 minutes! These guys know what they're doing!! I won't have another company in my home again.

Pleasant guy who explained a lot of what was going on and gave a quote to me. I accepted and he went about finishing the work - he was also really good with my 10 month old poodle puppyHowever after all was said and done, there was an error on my invoice (I did not get to see the invoice until after I paid and it was emailed to me). There were two outside outlets that needed to be replaced and I signed a quote thing for them. At the last minute Mike told me he thought there was only one so he did not charge me for the second one. But on the invoice, it showed 2 outlets - then another outlet at the bottom. Sparky's told me it was an 'add on at the last minute' and just mysteriously had the same code as an outdoor bubble outlet. But I had to sign a quote thing for every little thing that was added during the day. I did not sign for any last minute things that were not actually installed. All in all I will never use Sparky's again. Padding invoices is not a good way to keep customers.

I'm pretty upset about their visit if you minutes ago their technician came out to diagnose electrical outlet that was out when I called this morning the lady told me there'd be a $35 trip charge and I explained her very clearly that it was an outlet out on my back wall however, since he came out he pulled out his pricing chart and told me it was $325 to diagnose the problem.I told him absolutely not that's not what was communicated on the phone I was pretty clear and I paid the $35 which I intend to dispute with my credit card and I sent them on their way.Not only am I upset on the bait and switch job that they did but I'm also upset the Dave Ramsey whom I highly respected advertises for rip offs.Furthermore I intend to lodge a complaint with the BBB.

Mr. Sparky went above and beyond at their most recent visit. I needed new bulbs on a large chandelier in a stairwell. It is very difficult to get to! The technician offered to go to the store to purchase the correct bulbs for me. He did the errand, replaced and checked everything and even dusted the fixture off!

Mister Sparkey, is the company that all other companies should be judged by. From the moment they answer your call to the scheduling ,and the electrician that comes out they are top notch. I own a service company so i am extremely critical of other service providers. lee cameout and was professional courteous and knowledgeable. Lee walked me through the repair process and gave me up front pricing before the job was started. lee also took the time to trouble shoot and point out other potential problems in my electrical system. Here is the kicker before you pay for the job they put you on the phone with customer service to make sure you were satisfied. Believe it when i tell you that they were more then reasonable on there pricing. I would highly suggest bypassing all other electrical service providers and just go with the best.

They tried to charge me $779 for a Square D HOM250GFi circuit breaker in addition to $599 in labor charges for installing a 50 amp receptacle right beneath the breaker box. Fwiw these breakers can be bought for a little over $100 dollars at big box stores. Seemed very competent but I would definitely get some other bids. Pro tip - apparently mom and pop electrician outfits don’t have to carry the same overhead as Mister Sparky according to the manager.

Just scheduled for a repair estimate. House was built in 1948. Still uses the older edison style socket fuse box. Somthing either shorted or surged during the texas winter freeze and melted a fuse. Technician was very professional, arrived early and was able to provide knowledge and detailed pricing for repairs. Unfortunatly, it has come down to the house being converted to breaker style electrical and possible rewiring. I dont know if we will go through with the repairs due to the extreme cost. But they seem very honest and professional. Would choose them if we decide to move forward.

Nina is very knowledgeable, she explained every little step required to install a new panel, verified circuits in the existing panel for proper wire gauge, and out of 8 quotes for this job was the only technician to go in the attic for inspection. I was very impressed with her.

My husband and I were in an emergency situation. We were in immediate need of a licensed electrician in Houston. We called Mr. Sparky and they were able to dispatch a licensed electrician within the hour. We even received a text message with the name and picture of who to expect arriving at our home. Our licensed electrician, William, was extremely efficient throughout this entire process and was a huge relief during our unfortunate situation. He put as at ease as he walked us through the entire process (payment, timing, job specifics, etc. ) We highly recommend both William and Mr. Sparky!

Have been using Mr Soarky after being unhappy with a couple of other electrician services. They arrived on time, did the job requested. Matthew did a great job and even went beyond what wa asked: the new landscape light timer/ transformer had to be raised up so it didn’t get wet.

If something was accidentally overlooked, they fixed it immediately, no charge. They brought my electrical system up to code and replaced all outlet's and lights within a day for a reasonable price. I would reccomed them to anyone!

You have a GEM in Mr. Salat. This was my first service call regarding electrical work. I was nervous before he arrived.
