Had a leak called John Moore they temporarily fixed leak until they could come back 2 weeks later to repipe entire house. They did a horrible job. They did not place anything down when they cut the Sheetrock, got debris all over house and belongings like dishes, beds and toothbrushes. They did not inform or tell me where they were going to be cutting just cut. Cut thru cabinets destroying them. They put several holes in walls and ceilings where no pipes are located. They broke a light in attic and ac unit. Was without ac for 5 days do to this. They hooked up washing machine water connections incorrectly. Left dirty wet towels hidden in bathroom drawers and trash in piles in closets where they did no work. They left metal pieces and screws all over floors, did not clean up anything. When I called to complain and speak with someone was given to customer care and have yet to hear from them. I call and call they just take a message and never return calls. They scheduled appointment supposedly with city inspector waited all day no one showed only for John Moore to say they scheduled it for the a different day, waited again no inspector again called city and was told John Moore never set up appointment for them to come out. This company is the worst they will do a horrible job and will not return calls. For the price of services it’s not worth it. Do not recommend please find a better plumber do not use them.
Jedd Johnson was my technician, he came to my house for a Tesla wall connector installation. He was on time, polite, professional, and gave me a very competitive flat rate! I would definitely recommend him and his company to anyone who wants to install an EV charger:)
Dig up our backyard at 9:30am to fix the neighbor’s plumbing and it was a CLEAR UNDERSTANDING THAT the hole was to be closed TODAY AND at 2pm we drove to neighbors house and they had already left. We contacted John Moore and told them the hole needed to be closed up TODAY ITS 4pm and they have yet to return. Oh and they left the piece of pipe they repaired!

We had Leonard Citizen from John Moore out today to help us with some electrical wiring issues inside and to diagnose a breaker for outside outlets that kept blowing. He was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. His work was top notch and the rates they charged were very reasonable for the work performed. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Let me tell you, John Moore has a gem of an employee with Andrew Estrada. He is professional. He is punctual. Attentive to my calls and texts and communicates clearly. He was very knowledgeable about the 1979 Federal Pacific breaker box set up at my mom's place that needed total replacement. The first few minutes at the breaker box with him on a Monday (1/2/2023), I knew he was the right technician for the job. He didn't rush me into making a rash decision. He is a good listener. He explains things very clearly. Answered all my questions with confidence. Guided me through the repair process when CenterPoint needed to be involved. Completed the job by Wednesday (1/4/2023). If I ever have electrical needs at my own home, you better believe, I will ask for him.

Daniel was courteous, on time and efficient in his work. He quickly cleared our kitchen drain clog which had resisted our efforts with household tools. We really appreciate the same day response of John Moore Services and their very reasonable price. We recommend them enthusiastically, even though we hope we won't need them again for another drain clog. But they will be our first call for our future plumbing needs.

Papal was very professional and very detailed of the work done. He took the time to explain what was needed to repair or replace our system. Shared photos of our aging system and quoted us a great price for replacing our system. We moved into the area late 2019. We have been searching for good service people to repair things at our home. Until now, we have not been able to find a service company that was professional enough that we would call them again. This is the second time that we have used John Moore services for various things. Ricardo Lopez came to our home with another young man that was being trained on their software. Both were very professional and worked very quickly to get my water faucet in the kitchen working again. They told us exactly what we needed, completed the work in a timely manner and were very courteous to us and answered all of our questions. John Moore covers so many things, it is a very nice thing to have it all under one roof. We appreciated their quick service and I would highly recommend John Moore services! Mr. Papal came out on Christmas Day to inspect our home’s heating system. He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He quickly identified the issue and quoted us for both repairs of the old system and for replacement if we decided to go with that instead. He followed up after the quotes to make sure we were good and to answer any questions. We haven’t decided on our next steps but would request for and highly recommend Papal if we have any work done by John Moore.
Our service technician, Mr. Reyes, called prior to our appointment and arrived exactly when he said he would. He was personable, professional and respectful of our property and our concerns. After we agreed on the work to be done, he was efficient and thorough in its completion. We appreciated the service by Ruben Reyes and would request him again if we called John Moore. However the company (as with just about all the service companies we've dealt with in the past two years), charge exorbitant rates for their services. If you don't have the time or equipment to do the work yourself, be prepared to pay more than you'd expect.
The technician’s name was Raymond A. He called to let me know he was on his way and showed up sooner than expected. A true professional. He made an extremely hard job for me seem easy. Had a good conversation about football and BBQ. Great guy and I’ll request him if/when I use John Moore again. Great experience and excellent work.

I called the company on a Saturday. They were able to send out a technician on Sunday. I mean it was very prompt service, and it didn't cost me a dime for the assessment. John Moore has financing, but I rated overall 4 stars because of the price of a new condenser. I may not use the service, although I know the service is top tier at this company.
I had a Flow-Tech whole home carbon filter system and a Flow-Tech anti-scale system installed and I can tell the difference in my water already. Samuel Rodriguez was the Technician who installed the systems. He was very nice and did a great job with the installation. He also was very good, patient and thorough at answering questions and gave me his card if I needed to call him with any further questions.I highly recommend John Moore!
Steven England did a great job servicing my HVAC unit. Someone had come out the day before and wasn't very thorough, but Steven came out and helped rectify the issue. He was very courteous, professional and patient. He took time to explain things to me and made sure the work he was doing was done correctly, walking me through the process the whole time. Larry Reyes is an excellent technician who demonstrated extremely great professionalism. Larry clearly explained the problem I had with my AC system which was not working at the time. He exhibited highly competent knowledge for the service he performed. I commented to Larry about how extremely appreciative my family would be concerning his excellent service in repairing our problem and I would highly recommend Him to family, friends, or anyone who needed repair services. I would give him 10 stars if that was an option.
Willie came out and unstopped our kitchen sink. He communicated well about when he would arrive. When he was working on the sink, he explained what the problem could be and what he was doing. I know that some customers would not care but I like to learn, and Willie explained very well. He even called back to the office to get the best price for the repair. Willie did an excellent job!
Pest Control Service. The technician was on time within the 4-hour window. He was very knowledgeable about the service and made sure to remind me that the service was warrantied, so if I saw any bugs or pests I should be sure to call and let John Moore know about it. The entire process for signing up to my 1st service was easy and not time consuming. I would recommend the company to anyone needing a first-class reputable company.

We had two technicians out… one for AC repair and one to install whole house surge protector. Not technicians were friendly and professional. Both were out here same day. Both explained everything they did and showed us their work. I will definitely use John Moore again!
The serviceman arrived on time. I greatly appreciated a picture of the servicemen Danny Fleming was sent to me ahead of time. the serviceman made a thorough assessment of my problem and gave me a clear recommendation. Very quick response to an under sink leak. Technician was very professional, competent and communicative. He did a quick repair under warranty and found an additional leak in another sink we were not aware of, which he repair quickly and efficiently. Very satisfied with their service and personnel.

I don't know how John Moore services got 5 stars service reviews. But my experience with them first time, and it's also the last time. I just want to get a new gas line for new heater. But they said their have to run the whole gas system over and come with almost $4000 for one new gas line. NO THANK YOU !!

I did not have a good experience with John Moore. There was no communication. They just told you a price. Being desperate, because of the plumbing mess, I signed up. I had to call constantly, to get a copy of the work order. They overcharged us, but another plumber came out to see what was done. We got a small refund. I asked for pics and got 2. I asked for the old parts to be photographed, but that didn't happen. I needed the pics and work order, so I could send to the insurance company.

I appreciate this company. Their company and technician Mike were a pleasure to interact with. We ultimately did not use John Moore due to price, but Mike went above and beyond to assist us in regards to price and options. I do recommend.

“The John Moore way - an honest assessment (my butt) of the work you need done”. The first tech came out. Replace the fuse. Heater unit still not working next day. The next guy that came out told me that my control panel was bad and that I would not be able to buy it and I needed a new furnace for about $7000. I then remembered that I had a home warranty policy I called them they came out. They simply had to replace my thermostat $75. These people just want to sell you something you cant trust them get another opinion!
Excellent work he did communicating the issues found and explained . every thing was documented and shared, which I liked especially since I wasn’t present during the repair, I could review and ask questions which he gladly answered with knowledge. The cost was astronomical but it came with a 2 yrs warranty. still don’t think the cost makes sense but overall happy with the service and work done.
The tech was great. He did good work finding and analyzing the issue. My issue is the cost of the work. The charge was $1500-2000 for what needed to be done. I hired someone else and the cost is $100. I'm not knocking this company but the cost was outrageous.

Eli was great. He took photos of what was wrong, explained how the equipment should look, explained the issues if we did not repair the system and then showed us photos of the finished work. Although it is Christmas Eve and he has other jobs to complete today, he took the time to answer our questions. We appreciated his service.
I went with a big company for the job that needed to be done at the house but regret it now! I hope they don’t treat all the females customers like this! The job was started 2 weeks ago and still not completed. The inspector failed it twice and 3 different people from John Moore came to the house to see it but no communication as to where we stand! I should’ve canceled when the tech turned off his location on the initial consultation. He quoted me almost 5,000 and then wanted to charge me an additional 8,000. I have to reach out to get a status update instead of getting one and I’m still waiting on it! Very poor customer service!
We've called John Moore multiple times. The first time was for a simple toilet repair. We had to call them back to repair the same toilet twice now. Today, we called them to repair our 6-year-old water heater, and they told us it was not repairable and that we needed to purchase a new tankless water heater for $9000. First, John Moore's price is exorbitant, and second, I did not believe that the water heater was non-repairable, so I called Arrow Plumbing. Arrow Plumbing came out and quickly repaired the water heater, and it only us a couple of hundred dollars. Buyer Beware! We will not be calling John Moore again.

Called John Moore for estimate. John Daniels arrived on time and gave me an estimate for a home re-pipe. Mr. Daniels was VERY knowledgeable and provided me with information on my home re-pipe. Mike was professional, punctual. He explained what I needed. He told me what I didn’t need which was recommended by another company. Service was done at the same day with one year guarantee. I am very happy so far to get this done a week before thanksgiving.
System went down during my first service and they made a quick repair which was cost effective and kept the system running for months. This was done with the understanding that there may be trouble in the future. It failed again and the technician noted that the system was definitely failing and needed replacement. Gave me a good quote and had it queued up for replacement same-day.

He should be commended for the work of removing the old gas water heater from the attic. He was professional and insuring all was done correctly. It was not easy as the previous owner put the heater in a very uneasy accessible area. I will definitely use John Moore for any problems I may have in the future as well as for maintenance.
I broke the lever off of a shut off valve and needed it replaced. This was a Friday night and I sent an online request for quote through their site. Selected 8-12 window for next day. Woke up to find that someone was already on their way estimated 8:30 arrival. John C got to the house at 8:30. Told him if the issue, he looked at it and gave me some options and also did the regular thing of diagnosing other possible repairs I could do. Estimate for the lever replacement was in line with other bid from independent plumber I got off recommendation via Nextdoor so I asked him to do it. Job was well done and quickly done. He was very professional and wore shoe coverings when inside. Wasn’t pushy with selling the other services. Would recommend and use again.

Not satisfied with the cost of repair. Very overpriced compared to other companies. The technician seemed to imply the sewer line leak was around 5 feet under the foundation. He used his camera so he knew exactly where the leak was but did not clearly state that. The leak was actually right in the elbow set in the foundation within a foot or less of the outer wall. The total charge ended up to be in $7,000 range for a little elbow and 2 feet of pipe.In addition they had 3 separate invoices sent my way which did not correspond to what I agreed to pay based on my discussion with them prior to the repair.Called customer service and after several days of silence I found out they removed the mystery invoice but still the total charge remains at over $7k. They don’t care to negotiate or value customer loyalty, of which I am a repeat customer.In addition they of course subcontract people from who knows where with unmarked vehicles to do the job. No John Moore truck to do the work, which is what you assume you’re paying for. Didn’t even finish the job for days, with rain filling up the hole under the house they dug to repair the pipe on the side of the outer wall. Two guys with a bucket..I realize John Moore is overpriced in general, but this was way over the top. I suggest shopping around bc this kind of greed is ridiculous.

Received, furnace checkup/inspection.Was purchased and installed by John Moore Services. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the operation of the unit and service provided. Was also informed that during installation, I should have had a surge protector installed on the furnace. I wasn't made aware of it during my initial sales consultation. But, would still highly recommend John Moore Services.
Jonathan Clark was prompt, courteous and helpful. Diagnosed our drain issue quickly and offered good advice. We are going to research a bit before contracting the work, but are glad that he came.

Theo always does a great job! He always calls to let me know that he’s almost there. He listens to me when I tell him about concerned areas. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors without being constantly attacked by bugs. I never have issues with bugs inside my home either.

Called the company to help replace a broken water pipe. Really needed some type of service since the water in our home could not be turned on until the pipe was repaired. Service man came and stated because it was a galvanized pipe, he couldn't touch or complete any service. We understood the original pipe would need to be changed to an updated material, but the representative still refused. We had to go another day without running water. Ended up calling another company that offered several options and completed repair work the same day.

I have used John Moore for 3 or 4 issues over the years including pest control, A/C repair, and now plumbing. They are always professional and prompt in service, didn't charge me a service fee, and I know what I am going to get. John Moore is the first call I make for small home repairs.We recently had an incoming waterline break.. service was prompt but he didn’t have the right parts for a full repair. However, JD did an amazing job of putting a bandaid on the system to restore water to the house and then made the permanent repair the next day. Without the ingenuity of the technician, we would not have had water for a day. Great job overcoming obstacles!!

Mr. James came out inspected the furnace/heating unit and spotted a few things. Gave me a detailed account of what was wrong what happens if left alone and the potential damage it could cause. We have had John Moore replace both of our old hvac systems, upstairs and down. The upstairs installation went fine. When they came back because the downstairs unit failed, it was during the coldest date of the year. They identified the issue and set up to replace it the next day. The temperature that night was 17 degrees. They were not on time the next day, worked all day long, and the new unit was faulty! They had to return the next day to put in yet another new unit. The techs were great and we don’t fault them, but the process was less than ideal. We finallygot our new HVAC on Christmas Day.

Technician was truthful about the whole matter. Unlike Air Majesty with home shield. We have always had problems with home shield not wanting to cover what they say. They installed a unit that is in there now. It is wore out and they will not replace it. Good for me I found John Moore. I pray the instruction is as good as the technician Trent Malta. He is very knowledgeable. The guy from Air Majesty had no idea or was just lazy !!! John Moore will be in the ears of my friends and family that needs good reliable work done on the biggest investment of a life time. Their house !!! John Moore, LLC is the worst company I have ever done business with. I hired this company in the summer of 2022, to address minor defects found on my home inspection only to have this company come into my home and turn everything upside down. They told me I needed a new water heater, a new furnace, a/c servicing (though it was a new unit), attic door tent, a new electrical panel and whole house surge protection (and more). All of this to the tune of $35,000 dollars. In actuality, I didn’t need any of it (per inspection company). They preyed on the fact that I am a newly divorced single parent (with no knowledge of these things), and a disabled veteran (even going so far to thank me for my service as they knew they were triple charging and lying about the urgency of things needed). To top it all off, they even FORGED my signature on financial documents stating that it sped up the process and didn’t matter since I verbally agreed (to something that was never even mentioned to me). They charged $1200 dollars for an attic tent that costs $50.00 at Home Depot and took the individual less than ten minutes to install. He also installed it incorrectly. Once the forged signatures came to light, they sat on things for over two months and then suddenly sent a final bill that included services they never actually provided. Because I refused to pay for something they didn’t do (nor correct), they sent my account to their attorney who has threatened to put a lien on the home I worked so hard to obtain for my child and I. Though the company used predatory practices in every possible way, I understood that I was on the hook for paying for what was completed due to my ignorance of fair pricing, never had an issue with that. Instead of doing the right thing, this company aims to take from every and any one they can. I was told by my attorney that they recently did the same thing to an elderly woman who lost her husband not too long ago! RUN, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS. I hired John Moore to diagnose and repair my heating furnace that was periodically failing to work. The technician was in my attic for only a short time when he came down to tell me that the control board was bad and replacing it would cost me $2000. I already knew that the part costs only $400. He then tried to convince me that my 10-year-old furnace would continue to fail, and recommended that I replace the entire furnace with all of the bells and whistles for over $7000. I refused both of his recommendations. I felt that I had requested a technician to repair my problem, but John Moore had sent a salesman instead. So I decided to diagnose the problem myself, and then hired a different company just to confirm my diagnosis. The issue was not with the control board. It was fine. It was the blower motor that was bad and the diagnosis was simple. The control board was sending the proper voltage to the motor, but the motor wasn’t starting. How can a trained HVAC technician get this diagnosis so wrong? So, I bought an OEM motor for $650 and replaced it myself. Money saved and my furnace is working again!

Wanted to come earlier than scheduled, agreed and made arrangements to meet them. They called a half hour before the end of their original time frame and said they couldn’t make it that day because of equipment problems and they would have to come the next day. Took another day from work to meet with them. They finally showed up and after explaining what the problem was, immediately tried to upsell us to a $700+ service that he wasn’t even able to do and it would be another service call. Took my chances with the $50 special and called it quits. Will look for another plumber that wants to help you instead of having a indifferent attitude and doing the bare minimum just to get out.
John Moore (plumber: John Cantu )gave me an estimate to install two shut-off valves underneath the sink. I understand it is an old house, built in the 60s. However, just installed two shut-off valves the estimate was over $1200. The estimate was utterly ridiculous. If this isn’t price gouging or even overpricing then the sun doesn’t rise in the East.Average Shut-off valves are $12.45. Even if they have to purchase additional supplies such as piping it should not cost over $1200Do not trust John Moore at all. I called another licensed plumber.

Troubleshoot electrical problems. I needed help diagnosing what was wrong with my refrigerator. As the refrigerator was relatively new, I suspected problems with the circuit breaker.Felipe checked everything out, and moved out the refrigerator (Heavy) from its cubby hole and checked the incoming voltageto the appliance as well as the breaker box. The problem was with the refrigerator. Felipe returned the refrigerator to its place and also made suggestions as to surge protection and to improvements to the breaker box. Felipe was very helpful and congenial. There was no charge for this visit.

CONSUMER BEWARE! I contacted this company out of desperation because my regular AC man was out of town during the freeze right before Christmas 2022. Tech came out on Sat Christmas Eve and stated 2 out of 3 heating elements went out on one of my Lennox dual stage unit that is only approx. 10 yrs old. They made me the full amount up front before work would be done. I was desperate so I paid the full amount and I was to hear from the tech Monday morning to let me know when he was coming to fix the heater. No word on Monday so I called on Tues morning. He finally called me back and told me my units were obsolete, there were no parts available. He would continue trying but it probably wouldn't happen and I needed both my of my 5 ton Lennox units replaced. I contacted another repair company who said they would come and fix my unit the same day (and they did!). They also stated that my units are not obsolete and are still the best Lennox has to offer. I am fighting to get my almost 1900.00 dollars (that includes a 1 yr contract membership that I didn't even want or need) right away so I can afford to pay to have the heater fixed! I finally spoke to a manager after 2 hours of trying t speak with representatives, I am told no matter what it will be 7 to 10 days to process the full refund and there is no confirmation email showing I am receiving that refund. When a company makes you pay up front, includes a membership you didn't want, tells you that your not that old unit(s) needs to be replaced because its obsolete and then you have to fight to get your money back, that is not a reputable or honest place to deal with.

Our main water shutoff valve at the street got stuck / broken in the closed position. Before we called John Moore we called 2 other companies. One gave an estimate of 5 hours and almost $1700 (!) to dig up ground and replace the valve, to which we said thanks for the estimate, we'll get a second opinion. Another company would have charged money just to come look and make an estimate. We called JM the next day around 9am; they offered to send a plumber (Clayton) the same day for a free estimate, between 10 and 2. Clayton called when 15 minutes away and arrived almost exactly 15 minutes later, around 1030am. In about 10 minutes he gave an estimate of 1 to 2 hours of work and just under $300, to which we said yes please go for it. He went to buy a part, came back, replaced the valve, and called when done at around 12noon. He stayed to verify the water flow was restored and we didn't have any other problems. Outstanding professionalism and $1400 cheaper than a competitor. Thanks John Moore and Clayton!

Call John, pay more.. or however that jingle goes. The plumbing technician was so uneducated on how pipes were configured they ended up refunding my $49 fee. The technician also recommended hydrojet services for a kitchen sink clog at $350. I scheduled it for 4pm-8pm. I get a text at 8am saying the tech is on his way.After calling to tell them about this error, I asked if they would still honor my quote as I asked about in an email 3 days before the scheduled service. No one ever answered my question. They end up basically calling me a liar and said I didn't speak to a representative and informed me that they wouldn't honor the quote. The regular hydrojet price is $750. I considered it a sign to just decline their services.They are so unorganized that they still sent a tech at 4pm. The crazy part is it was the same incompetent tech that I specifically asked them not to send. Long story short, the next day I cleared the drain myself with my $20 auger from the local hardware store.

John Moore is in the business to scam you out of money with false diagnosis to get you to pay more, can tell the so called techs are on a commission of some kind.. Had 7 ppl come to my house within a week bc everytime one thing got fixed, something else stop working same day or next day!!...I felt they were sabotaging us. Each of them gave a different diagnosis for my A/C ( i have 2 units)...jacked the price up double. I truly think the techs lack experience and made assumptions on the issue. Found out after i made several calls on what they told me needed replaced and they literally quoted me 2x's the price. Just awful!! The commercials are a fraud. Do your homework, don't let them just give you a price. Search around. Had them repair one unit bc i needed my AC, did an install last week...still no call a week later as they were supposed to come out and validate the work to get my warranty confirmed. Will be my LAST time using them.

I give John Moore ONE STAR and that is for the people that answer the phone. As for SERVICE NO STAR. I have done a lot of business with them over the years, some good some not so good. John repiped my entire house, unclogged toilets, to name a few and the most recent and LAST was a water filter that I was convinced would help with keeping the toilets from clogging (reason for call). Now that filter is the reason I have had no water since Friday, 23 December. I put in a service call (repipe and filter still covered under warranty) regarding the filter where water was gushing out. If it was not covered under warranty, why was I not told then? Service technician was supposed to come on yesterday (Monday, 26 December) called last night to say because it was now dark they would come today (27 December). Tech comes today and said it would cost me $259.99 to repair because it was NOT covered under warranty. John installed the filter and did not do a good job at wrapping the pipe. I'll take the not knowing that it should have been installed inside the garage as opposed to outside. NO JUSTICE with John. After all my warranties expire I WILL NEVER CALL ON JOHN FOR ANYTHING. I'm just a small fish in a big body of water and I'm sure my service will not be missed (just one unhappy customer). Sign, Single female, I did not have this problem with the last freeze but I did not have $3k+ water filter either:(

Mr. William Turner with John Moore Sevier did an excellent job diagnosing and explaining the problems with our main circuit breaker panel. He was courteous and patient showing us the issues, and his recommendations.
We called John Moore for an emergency electric repair. Representative showed up on time, took a few minutes to hear the problem. He said it would take at least a week to fix and sent a really high quote. In the mean time a local electrician visited. He quickly identified and quoted for 5% of John Moore's quote. He then fixed the issue in 2 hours.
A/C guy took plate off to reveal wires of outside unit and without testing them, told I need the wires replaced. Jmoore had had inspected this unit in 1/2023 and said, no, problem. He said they need replacing now because the unit did not work. I noticed that the switch on the electric panel was not on, but he told me not to touch it, which I did, and everything worked instantly. He tested the vents in the house and the temp was already lowering. He still wanted me to make an appointment to change all the wiring but I will not do so.
Got cut off by this guy flying through traffic doing 80 while holding a cellphone. But I’m sure he’s 100% safe and completely paying attention when working on your home or business….. what’s their jingle “Call John get more” maybe less is better

Service man arrived with his mind made up I needed a new furnace He checked it and told me he wasn’t going to do anything because I needed a new surface, then proceeded to quote price and give me payment plans. This was during the freeze. I’m out of here we’re his words when told we wouldn’t be buying.After two more nights of freezing temps I called ONE HOUR technician came told me a hose had been chewed and the Capacitator had to be replaced. 30 minutes later we had heat and survived the freeze. He allayed my husband’s and my anxieties and concerns. He recommended a separate company from John Moore called Entrusted, a water mitigation company. We took technician Mr. Sury’s advice and promptly scheduled appointment. So we called John Moore because of the good reviews and our Ac wasnt cooling. The man said there was no coolant in the outside system so he filled it up and charged $800. Also said we had a leak. He said he would come back in a day or two because he needed to order some part. Well he never came back and we had to follow up to see what happened . They sent another guy only to tell us he could check the couls but it would be another $600 just to check it out only and $2000 if it needed to be fixed. Well we could not pay another $2600 so we called someone else. When another guy came that we were referred too, he said there was no leak and didnt know why we had to pay $800 for some coolant when there was no leak to begin with. It ended up jist being a part he needed to replace. I wish i would have never called John Moore. These people are crooks 100%. I do not and would never recommend them to anyone. Wish i could give them zero stars.

They are dishonest. A while back they sold us a water heater we didnt need the original problem was an odor coming from the area near our water heater. Nothing changed at all. EDIT: Low interest is not no interest. They set me up with a supposed no interest loan if paid off in 18 months. Well 7 months in and I've paid nearly 500 dollars interest. I would of been better shopping a loan myself. Would not recommend at all.At the end of the day the sewer pipe was repaired. Unfortunately I was told 2 days and it took closer to 2 weeks and there where no complications to the job. The diggers didn't damage the roots of the tree. They back filled the trench and when they left they grabbed my shovel (most certainly an accident but I'm still out of a 50 dollar shovel.) Make sure they give you a detailed breakdown of services or you may end up overpaying.
Jon was prompt, professional, and friendly, along with being very knowledgeable. We stayed late to make sure that my water was working after I came home to a busted pipe. Definitely recommend Jon to anyone.

UPDATE: I was trying to use my ice maker on my fridge and it wouldn't work. I pulled my fridge out to look behind it and THEY HAD HOOKED THE WATER LINE FROM THE ICE MACHINE TO THE OLD PIPE!! I called them immediately and was on hold forever and then they hung-up--this was AFTER I had told them the issue. I called back and they said they would call be back to schedule a time for the repair. They never called back to help with the issue they caused, so, after waiting 24 hrs. my son and I took care of the water line MYSELF!! Doesn't sound like much but I paid them thousands & thousands of dollars and I'm almost 69, rolling around behind my fridge is NOT my idea of fun. I don't know about their other services but their PLUMBING dept. is terrible! They lied about exactly what was covered by John Moore when they repiped my house and I've ended up with a huge bill (other than their bill!) that I'm responsible for, they only sent 2-workers out to work on my 2-story home which caused it to take longer to repipe than they originally said---my neighbor used a different company at the same time and they sent out 5-workers who got it done in 1-day!! They messed up the scheduling of their services not once--not twice--but THREE TIMES!! I sat around waiting for them way too many times. I would NEVER recommend their plumbing services and would really be cautious about any other service they provide! John Valentine needs to re-access his own company!

The plumber was professional with his interaction with me and took the time to show me the work he completed and explain what he had to do for the repair.
They wouldn't give a quote for an AC and furnace change unless they charge $70 for a visit. Very disappointed since they are literally a mile away from our house. Every other AC company does consultation for free. Don't waste your time.
Octavio was friendly and professional and explained several different repair options for my upstairs A/C. He is very knowledgeable and can tell loves what he does.
I have used John Moore before, for the exact same issue that I am having now. The tech, William, was very nice and courteous, but after being there for an hour, he couldn't even diagnose the problem without me having to buy from a list of different highly priced packages to find out what the problem was. The worst part is that this problem was in a room that they had rewired just a few years ago. I don't think I'll be able to work with them after this.

I should start by saying it has been several years (I am guessing about 7 or 8) since I used John Moore for the first and last time. I have been prompted to write this review because I am sick and tired of the “genuine, sincere tv commercials”. They were prompt and effective but grossly overpriced. We had a pipe leak in our spare bedroom and by the time we noticed it, the ceiling had caved in. Long story short, we paid over $700 to have the leak repaired. The tech didn’t even have to go in the attic and he was able to access the break via ladder and hole in the ceiling. He was in and out within an hour. Tried to convince me we had to have the house re-piped as well as a new water heater. I am retired and I was in business all my life. I understand the upsell angle. Since I used John Moore I have had to use plumbers 3 times. After the 2021 freeze, I had 3 pipes break and you can imagine the flood we had. The plumber we used and have used since, resolved the issue and I was only charged $690 to repair 3 pipes. They even took the time to check the entire house and the 3rd pipe repair would not have have been discovered had they not done that. Do the math. This past Thanksgiving, a pipe broke in the attic 4 hours before our guests were to arrive. I called the company I use and the owner himself came over to repair it and I was only charged $380. On Thanksgiving!!! I have spoken my peace and only my ethics prevent my listing my current plumber as I don’t believe this is a forum for advertising. Shop around! I would give zero stars if I could.

This company is a rip off and the service that they provide is poor quality.. We had a bust water softener on the freeze and they charged us 450 to bypass the unit with just two 90 bends and a three inch price of pipe. It took less than 20 minutes to fix.. The water was installed by the same company less than two years ago. One of the filters was installed in the wrong direction and there was no bypass installed which would have saved me the 450 this time around. I feel like they are gouging customers who are in a difficult position just wanting their water back on asap...

It sure seems like we got sold a bill of goods. Told us we needed $14k of work done. We paid and we still have the issue. Don’t get snookered into working with these guys. Essentially they fixed something that wasn’t broken and now we are out $14k.They must have an incentive to upsell anything and look for any problem. And to top it off my wife found what might be the real problem that a plumber should have noticed before going to the $14k nuclear option.Update - they didn't budge on anything and insist that they did necessary work - but Tim the head of plumbing did admit that they upsell to you when they come to your home - so it seems like their biz model is to be like a shady car dealer who tries to sell you everything that you don't actually need.And to top it off - we also had a sink issue that the plumber was supposed to fix - and we have an unworkable sink for now going on about 6 weeks. I keep asking about status and get the runarround... Please don't use this company - learn from my mistake.

POST DEPRESSION After paying $8,100.00. You think I could speak with a Professional Manager..I'm right now sweeping water(rain) from door, because they did not replace all pipes as they were, causing possible flooding of my house. I need to speak with someone that will do the right thing. Starting with a call. This is what happens when u have people working, that you can't communicate with.

They sent a salesman in a plumbers truck to fix a pipe leak, waste of time and very insulting.If I schedule a plumber, send a plumber with tools and materials, not someone who can't identify the problem, fix it and collect payment.Called another plumber and issue was resolved in less than a an hour, no excuses, no scheduling someone else to come check it out and no paying $300 for each hole that had to be cut in sheetrock.(BTW, other plumber DID NOT HAVE TO CUT A SINGLE HOLE IN SHEETROCK TO FIND AND FIX THE PROBLEM)
I had sink clogged issue and Angel was great. He was on time, good communication, able to resolve the issue quickly. Highly recommend him.

There's a reason why you see all of those snazzy commercials on TV, John Moore is a first rate outfit with easy scheduling and responsive notifications. Our Technician was Clayton, and he was prompt and courteous, told us what was needed and what wasn't, and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. The price was a little bit more than some smaller companies might charge, but the increased expense is worth it, knowing that an appointment time will be honored and that you're going to get exactly what you ask for. Will definitely be using John Moore in the future.
My a/c unit was thoroughly checked and serviced, the filter changed, and the results explained to me. I was told a summary and recommendations would be sent to me via email.

Was supposed to show up for a roof repair after already being paid.. never showed up. Rescheduled but never called.. I haven't even received a call from anyone actually. Even after they said they would have someone contact me. Asked for a refund. Customer service is not that great.

Work seems to be good. Nice workers, but I requested a later time to have service finished up due to working night shifts and they showed up at 9am versus the 12pm earliest time. Would not have been an issue if I had not gotten off of work at 4am. Not pleased with the deviation from scheduled time frame. Not very informative on scheduled times of other things such as when they will return to fill in the trench that was dug.

The entire John Moore staff of technicians that perform a brand new A/C unit installation, new furnace, and new insulation. Work inside, and outside was excellent. The guys Joseph Garcia, Octavio Alanis, Ahmed Hankins, Stephen Call, and Shaun Bott, were all professional, honest, on time, and even sometimes early to work. They were knowledgeable, and work till the jobs were completed. They were all very patience when explaining all work before and after. They provided useful suggestions and recommendations where needed. I was provided email, and text messages on any updates, arrival times and also their locations when in route. They provided useful maintenance schedules on all new equipment that was installed to help the new system last as long as it can. They made me fill very comfortable with all the work they were doing. They took pictures of all the new work so I could see the new equipment before putting it all together. I will continue to use John Moore for all my Home Needs.

Communication is poor from head office -- often mismatched messages across a single visit. This means that multiple techs need to arrive, meaning more scheduled appointments, meaning more of my time, wasted.The techs, however, when they have the correct information, are often well-informed, trained, and experienced.I'm really suspicious of sales, however, and after the sale, figured that original essential sales was not unnecessary. JMS needs to have tech visits before sales rep shows up.

This is not the first time we have used John Moore and been more than pleased. Troy Watts has helped us on multiple occasions. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable about several different repair scenarios. I appreciated that he walked us through several options and helped us find one that fit not just our immediate needs, but the best for us financially. Most recently we had an emergency pipe repair in the attic that was flooding our master bath and closet. John Moore responded immediately and got someone out to us the same day. We were happy to see Troy show up. He set a temporary fix in place to hold us over until later in the week when the repair could be scheduled. Without Troy’s assistance and expertise we would have been without water for days. I cannot express enough gratitude for your help.

I called John Moore for a weird smell coming out of my guest bathroom. I thought it was a plumbing issue. Willie came to check on it and went above and beyond. Take into consideration that he is a plumber but was determined to find where the smell was coming from. He went into my attic (where there is no plumbing) and found a dead rat ? near the vent of the bathroom. He disposed of it and set me up with John Moore’ pest control.
Called for furnace tune up. They refused to do the tune up because the credit left belongs to the last owner of the property. Since, I am the new owner, the transfer of credit cannot be done. I have to pay for the new tune up service under my name. Even the previous owner of my house said that this was a non sense excuse.Suggestion: you saved one tune up but lost a potential customer. Is it worth it?

My parents A/C went out on July 4th the only company that could get there quickly on that HOT day was John Moore. Two months later, it went out again. My dad called first thing in the morning within 2 hours they worked my parents in & restored the unit. My dad was very pleased with the service & hopes they are resolved the problem completely! Stay away from these people! I don't understand all these positive reviews on google. Yelp is full of negative reviews and I did not see that prior to booking an appointment, the reviews are so true. We had a minor leak and did not want it to become a bigger problem as it was raining. We looked at google and came across this company and we’re unfortunately misled by the positive reviews. We decided to give them a chance. When I called to book the appointment, a lady made no mention about a Trip Fee and the service team will evaluate the possible problem and give me a quote. That all sounded good at the time. appointment. Two guys came to our home, and went to work. There is an issue with the air duct placement that caused the leak, I have moved them and you will not have the leak anymore. They pulled out their tablet and showed the charge is $150! We were flummoxed. Not at the price, but rather the fact that we were never given an opportunity to decide whether or not we wanted them to fix the “problem” or the fact that we were never given a quote and inform us about their findings. Then they approached me with the option to buy a membership instead of paying for the service and also tells me that there is $69 trip fee!They are supposed to evaluate the situation and give me a quote, not fix (if you wanna call it that) and force me to pay the charges. There was no Trip fee as per the customer service lady. I called the customer Service in front of them to sort out these charges and the lady refused to talk to the service guys, that was so strange! She just kept apologizing for their unprofessional behavior while the guys rushed out of our home and slammed our doors. Not once, but twice!

Called them out for their $49.00 special on drain cleaning. Technician arrived on time. Very professional and diagnosed A/C drain clog upstairs. $362.99 ! Apparently the “special” applies to a kitchen or clean out clog.As Retirees living on Social Security this was a major blow financially but having little choice gave the go ahead. Jonathan Clark, the technician had it sorted out in little to no time, left no mess and was very professional and pleasant. Now I’m gonna cringe every time I see their Ads on TV, especially when they say how affordable their services are. Will have to think twice before calling on them again. Professional from initial call in to Technician completing the job but good Lord !…. the price !!
used their electrical service 8/19/2022 to change out 1 55 amp breaker that costs $ 55 at home depot and they charged $ 600 for the service that took no more than 15 minutes. the owner of the company in the TV commercials says they give a fair honest estimates. I checked with two other electrical service companies and John Moore's charge is twice what the others would charge for a breaker changeout. My wife who was the only one home at the time was given an estimate for 3 possible tasks to be performed and their estimate did not break out the pricing, just a total of $ 3,600. The tech suggested putting in a surge protector and after researching that service it would be about $ 400 with other electrical contractors. John Moore's tech Jeremy was quoting $ 2,700. What an absolute rip off, buyer beware!

Had Big D visit to provide quite for whole house standby generator. Very nice and first question was did I have other quotes. I said yes and he then he proceeded to tell me that they start at $16000 and can run up to $24000. I told him that I had quotes for 24kw in $11/12000 range from excellent companies. He then said he will not waste the time to quote for either one of us. As they were just starting in the standby generator business, thought they might be a little more competitive. Wrong. John Moore does a lot of advertising and I hope people don’t translate that to good service and not get competitive bids.

Ricardo helped us winterize 2 external faucets. I'm a little concerned he was unable to disconnect one of hoses connected to one of the faucets. He explained, given how tightly connected the hose is, he would have to replace the entire faucet....But, it appears he was able to insulate and provide sufficient protection from the impending cold weather conditions.

We had a furnace replacement completed today and I’m absolutely livid. Not only did the techs steal something from our laundry room, they also left a complete mess. The techs admitted to “accidentally” taking our stuff and customer service offered to have them come back but why on earth would we want people who have already taken stuff that didn’t belong to them to return to my house?! They also ripped the siding off a wall in the laundry room. Also left black paint or whatever it is all over the walls and shelves as well as the water heater. There is now a “cricket” like chirping noise coming from the unit whenever the AC is on. We called to get someone to come out and see what the noise was and the customer service rep stated that we would have to pay $69 for someone to come out and look at something that their own people messed up to begin with! Thankfully that rep agreed to waive the fee. This is the second time that I’ve had issues with this company. A few months ago, they caused a gas leak during an AC repair. At this point, we feel we should be refunded some if not all of our money for the horrible installation, experience, and service we received. We were told we have to wait until Monday to hear from the refund department. We’ve been burned enough by this company and will be searching for a better option. DONT USE JOHN MOORE’S SERVICES! You’ve been warned!!

My pipes burst after a cold snap. My father suggested John Moore because they don't charge to come out. They came out fixed the largest leak first. We knew there woyld be more and sure enough I had two more. They didn't have what they needed on the truck and it was dark and cold, so they ended that day with the promise to be back first thing in the morning. Next morning, the city water main burst! There was a geyser in the street outside my house and my yard was flooded. But the guys from John Moore took off their shoes, hiked up the pant legs (literally) and waded in the change out those last to breaks. My water couldn't be turned on until the city fixed stopped the geyser. Once they had I turned on the water to see if there were any more leaks. Evrything seemed fine but there was no hot water. To top off everything else, it had started raining! But i cold water. I texted Danny, the lead plumber on my job, to update him, he had called earlier about the geyser, and told him i couldn't get the hot water working. He promised to stop by the next again and see what he could do. He did and ten mins later i had hot water!

My ac went out and i called up John Moore about four months ago and a technician showed up to troubleshoot my ac. He told me it needed to be replaced. It would cost approximately $9000 to replace. He did take the cover off and do any troubleshooting. I then called up another company and the technician replaced a capacitor and everything is and has been working ever since.

If I tell you Zayne is a man of his word. He was very professional, polite and knowledgeable and don't let me forget he knows his work. He is an awesome person. He came out yesterday and checked out the issue I was having and explained everything that he was going to do. He didn't do anything without my permission. When he finished the job, he walked me through everything and should me his work. He is a great person and his assistant which o forgot his name and I apologize for that but they were very professional.
Samuel went above and beyond to find the problem we had. It was so bizarre and my misfortune for sure, but he found it, repaired it, and all with a great attitude and professionalism! Thanks Sam!

This was the best in-home service that I have experienced ever!! I just purchased my home and the appliances were newly installed, however, apparently poorly and improperly installed. Victor was VERy professional , kind, informative and courteous . He was also very understanding when I chose to go with another company that was more financially affordable .
Checked for a gas leak. Even though one was not found he thoroughly explained what it maybe and give advice on what to do covering many scenarios. After replacing the faucet, he give additional information regarding maintenance and part replacements. He honestly answered all my questions about any future replacement and about the quality of the faucets.

John was at my home right at the start of the service window and did a wonderful job of explaining the repair process. The parts that were replaced were of great quality, and there wasn’t a spec of anything to clean up afterward. I’m very pleased with the work performed and will be using John Moore for any future plumbing issues.
Did not correctly detail what the issue was. Furnace panel came lose, cutting off power to furnace. Technicians noted pressure switch needed cleaning. Not true, lose panel caused furnace to shut down, result of safety switch. Re-attach or screw in panel, problem fixed.

Called John Moore who sent out a plumber to my South Houston home. I just had the city inspector and reliant at my home and both passed my inspection for my water heater, AND GAS, all I needed was a mirror replacement and for the water heater to be turned on! THE JOHN MOORE REP TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THE WATER HEATER I HAVE WAS TOO OLD AND I NEEDED TO PURCHASE ONE FOR OVER $2000 WITH INSTALL (although no mention of that claim from city inspector or reliant) ...WHEN I ASKED HIM TO PLEASE DO WHAT I NEEDED HE REFUSED,THESE FOLKS ARE NOT HERE TO HELP YOU BUT TO TAKE ADVATAGE

After trying all we could do on our own, called. Abacus because of the $123 drain clog commercial. They never showed up and claimed we cancelled the appt. Should have gone to John Moore first. Called to schedule a plumber with John Moore and Angel was on time, professional and friendly. He was able to run an electric snake farther than we got and cleared the clog in a matter of minutes. I have used John Moore on several occasions in the past and I am always glad for the services they offer. Can't say enough about Angel directly also. Really great asset to the company.

Our service technician was Mr. Adam Bostick. He came on time, answered all the questions we had (even those related to plumbing but nothing to do with this repair), gave us 3 types of quotes to choose from, and was very professional throughout.Yes, John Moore is not on the cheap side, but the quality of service we get from them is usually exceptional, and after having had some troubles with others, this is the company we call first to get a quote.

Air conditioner stopped working late yesterday evening. I booked an appointment with John Moore and they sent Diego out the next morning. Diego was prompt and professional and diagnosed the issue quickly. Replaced the bad part and everything was done in about 20 minutes. Definitely recommend their services!

I had burst water line damaged lines replaced, following the freeze we had in this area 2021. John Moore did excellent timely replacement service on the lines. In addition, at the same time I needed the water heater replaced and they performed that service as well. All the work was completed quickly and expertly done. I determined to use John Moore again for any future plumbing issues. Today they came out to replace an older kitchen faucet. John Moore is an organization that I can trust and recommend for anyone needing plumbing issues.

Angel showed up almost an hour early and knocked it out quick. Took longer to process the payment than it did for him to clear the drain clog. Very happy it is all good now.
Larry Reyes was excellent in diagnosing the problem and providing a solution in a timely fashion. Several other representatives had come out but were not able to address the problem.
It took 3 days for them to come out. They would cancel at the last minute after having me wait and losing the whole after noon. When the job was completed it was well done.

They were late to fix my outdoor plumbing left water in 50 foot trench did not pump the water out and just back field it with the dirt that turned into quick sand not very happy !
John showed up when he said he was going to. He got straight to work and finished all in 40 min. Would recommend to anyone looking for a plumbing service.
Brad gave me some basic information about the heaters and maintenance advices and I appreciated that. Will use john Moore again for other services in the future.

Ricardo López came to assess my water heater that was put in by another company before I bought my service contract with John Moore Services because the pilot would not stay lit. As it turns out, the other company did a poor job of installing the water heater, and I had water damage in my attic, too. Ricardo was very professional and he clearly explained in detail (and showed me) everything that was wrong and needed repair so that I could fully understand. He also hand wrote everything down for me and followed up with an email of itemized costs of repairs. Additionally, he advised me to contact the installation company first to see if there was a warranty or if they would make this right for me. He also informed me that I could contact the water heater company to request to have the gas valve and pilot assembly sent to me. However, he stated that some customer choose to go ahead and pay for the repair vs. wait for the parts as the wait has often been a lengthy amount of time. I cannot say enough good things about the service Ricardo provided. He is thorough, friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable, and I have requested to have him assigned for all of my future plumbing work as I fully trust him. He is an outstanding asset to John Moore Services.
FIND A DIFFERENT PLUMBER! They work off commission and try to sell you as much as they can! They used scare tactics on a me to replace the pipes in the entire house. I had one galvanized pipe that was leaking due to rust in the garage. The salesman told me the whole house would rust like that one and I needed new plumbing in the whole house. He also told me I needed a new hot water heater although it was fairly new. When the plumbers came out, they told me my hot water heater was fine. So I called my salesman. He told me it would cost this ungodly amount to bring it up to code. About the same amount as putting in a new one. They scammed me so bad. I will never use their rip off company for anything. They cost me thousands and thousands of dollars that were unnecessary. DON’T USE THEM!I’m still mad after 9 years about how they took advantage of me and cost me thousands of dollars by scamming me. I tell everyone I can not to use this company.I’m sorry all these people have had such bad experiences with this company! They are terrible and just want your money! They replaced leaking natural gas valve to fireplace and got everything up to current code. Daniel was able to expedite getting the City of Houston inspector out to inspect so we could get gas turned back on

I am very unhappy with John Moore Plumbing.I had to have a 100' section of my sewer pipe replaced to the city line. It involved jackhammering through my pea-gravel patio (about 40 ft) and additional trench line through the yard (about 20 ft). It was a very expensive job, and I agreed to price.The job was completed in mid-May 2022.PROBLEM 1:The patio was poorly repaired. (See attached pictures). I understand that concrete related items are difficult to repair/match, but the job looked like a kid did the work.In May, I asked that the job be done right, and the concrete guy did come out and look at it, and agreed to repair it. However, he was no show to several scheduled start dates. It is now Sept, and the job is still not repaired. In fact, the repair job is getting in worse condition.PROBLEM 2:The sewer pipe has now begun to to have issues again. I asked for them to diagnose the issue. I was told that plant roots have now grown in the 10 ft section of pipe between the house and the start point of the last repair. The tech is absolutely positive the roots were not there four months ago. I find it amazing that roots can grow so rapidly in the middle of a 1,000 sq ft section of concrete. Their suggestion is that I pay another large charge to bust through the other part of my patio.So,1. The repair job they did to my patio was terrible.2. The service to repair the patio is terrible.3. The plumbing (sewer pipe) problem still remains, and I am expected to pay more to fix the same problem they were supposed to fix in May.

I called John Moore because I knew I would get a fast response and experienced plumbers. I am somewhat satisfied with the the work but I am disappointed with the lack of communication and timeline of things. The actual repair was done in a timely manner once they got the clearance to begin digging but after the main pipe was repaired, I was not informed that a separate dig team had to come out to fill the hole back in. The repair was done on a Monday and I contacted JM on Tuesday to inquire why there was a long dugout still in my yard. The representative let me know the process and couldn't give me a definite date (he said by Thursday but wasn't sure) when the job would be complete. I called again on Thursday afternoon and spoke with someone else and after putting me on hold to check on the timeline, she stated they would come out Friday. Well thankfully, the workers did come Thursday evening to fill in the hole. I didn't understand why I had to call the company to inquire about these things when they could've easily contacted me or sent me some kind of information of how long things would take. I was frustrated to say the least. As far as the pricing, I did have to call to ask for a final itemized invoice as I was never emailed one. I knew of the overall charge because I used a financing company. Again, why did I have to call to ask for an invoice and breakdown of cost? I am glad I did because I was unaware I was being charged for a $269.99 membership. I did not ask for a membership!

I called for a small pipe leak in the attic they quoted me over $1200 for a less than $60 pipe leak fix.Too all consumers out there You would be wise to call Other local independent HVAC and plumbing Service companies.I’m sure John Moore is more than capable of fixing many different HVAC and plumbing issues. however They will try to rip you off and use your ignorance against you or they will try to scare you into giving up the money with lies/ scare tactics. I only needed a small drip leak fixed and With their house burning down comment/ warning scare tactic they used and a $2400 quote they could take care of it. And “With more possible fees.” Turns out they lied about the water heater home fire danger. I have the proper equipment and ventilation for it. Nice try John Moore and associates. Not appreciated at all ! Just be honest and fair I guess that’s just too hard. I’ve read other warnings about these tactics used by your associates.Please don’t try to tell me that I can contact your customer service because I know it means it will go nowhere . I’m sure you will turn this matter over to the customer service department. seems like you blame shift every issue that doesn’t give you a glowing review. Maybe we can do business in the future if the shady tactics and what seems to be price gouging stop. I won’t be holding my breath for that outcome.

Juan Puente did pest control services in my attic and put up the mesh around openings to keep animals out. My dryer cover was missing and exposed. He offered to pick one up at Home Depot and install it. I told him I would go pick it up and he came back to my home to check and see if he caught anything on the traps. He did not find anything on traps, he disinfected the attic and put dryer cover up for me. Professional, care about their clients. Great job Juan .

My AC brokedown on Friday 7/8/22. Temperature inside the home was getting hotter to mid eighties. I saw John Moore advertising on TV and decided to give a call. So, I booked for an appointment around noon on 7/9/2022. They dispatched the technician within a couple of hours. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He already came with the parts needed.By 3PM the same day the AC started cooling. He also checked the system in my attic and left.Overall, the work is professional, quick and accurate. The technician gave me an estimate for parts and labor. It costed me about $450 for the whole work. I am satisfied that it was done well as explained in timely and professional manner.However, I felt that the cost of labor was a bit high. Considering, the situation, AC repair doesn't occur all the time, I decided to go ahead to get it done.

Leonard performed a complete once over on our 1 year old Trane AC/Heat 14 Seer Whole House HVAC system because it isn't operating properly. Then he discussed his findings with the original salesman, and installers. Leonard asked the HVAC specialist to come and do the same to see if they arrive at the same conclusion. Al will be here today between 2pm and 6pm to evaluate and at that time there will be additional discussions with us, John Moore Customer Care, Al, and Leonard so we can arrive at the best solution for all parties. I appreciate the thorough job Leonard did and the care he is taking to make sure our system is running at it's best. John Moore has a great asset in Leonard Citizen and they should keep employees like him! Leonard and his work ethic, customer service skills and his ability to see the whole picture and arrive at the best solution for all parties embodies the John Moore way, in my opinion. I will continue to do business with John Moore as long as they have employees like him on board!

Called this company to come unclog a drain line in the laundry room. They were quick to respond and were very friendly. Sadly the reason I don’t call professional plumbers any more is because they nickel and dime you from the moment they show up. They tell you there is no service fee to show up. Ok! Well when they get there it is $150 to run an auger (they only come prepared with 20ft). In my case I was told they have to have a camera run through it and they don’t have one so they will have to return another day. Oh and that will be another $219. Also, quoted me $13,000 to replace my line because he said my line had collapsed. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment and letting the nice guy know that I will continue to work on the problem. I went to Home Depot and bought a 50ft auger for $300. Voila first time through. Pulled out the problem and I have drainage. This is not good business. Not coming prepared. Only trying one method and then telling me I have collapsed line. Sorry not this family. This is a bad taste for all professions like this who are money hungry and not customer satisfaction. A little more effort than a 20ft auger with no fix for $150 might have saved you this review! God Bless and I hope this helps you better your business but I won’t be calling this company back!Let me add, after reading some of these reviews and the company’s responses, they don’t even give personable responses. Sure let’s add a name here in there and then some say thank you because the client said your technician is friendly but you don’t respond to the rest of the comment. Pay attention. Giving us a number to call yeah that is really gonna save your business.

Ok, these guys are a corporate affair, but must say... the scheduling was a very quick and easy process. 24hrs to get an appt to come out and review our plumbing situation. They called promptly, showed up early, and by far DAVID was amazing to work with on site, so knowledgeable and trustworthy! Although the repair job looks over priced, we were very happy with the Evaluation/estimate process. I really liked the overall experience so far. I contacted John Moore to replace my existing Breaker Box and panel. The people that helped me along the way were nothing short of amazing. David was extremely helpful and made it very clear that he would answer any and all questions. He kept in contact with me and made the process so smooth. On the actual day of service, Marco was prompt and wasted no time getting to work since the project was expected to take all day. He treated my house with the upmost respect and even took care of replacing items that were no longer safe or not up to code. They miss diagnosed the leak and we’re going to fix the wrong pipes for a gas leak. They were going to charge 4100$ for 6 feet of pipe.
I got it rediagnosed with the gas company and a different plumber to find out it was leaking into the house. They fixed it for 1500$.
John did an absolutely great job! Fast and very polite he even took time to give our beautiful puppy Harley a hug! I highly recommend having this vendor service all of your Plumming and hvac needs
We called these guys yesterday and the man charged my husband $500 without repairing the problem and told him we had to tear out all the walls and find the problem that way. I called back and asked that they actually repair the problem. They sent Brandon Jones who put the snake in it and didn't give up, he had to run it a few times, and he repaired the grease drain problem. He worked at least an hour and just did great work. I was happy that John Moore stood behind their warranty, and didn't just not show back up when we had a bad job done the first time. They sent out a new worker who did wonderful, thoughtful work and helped us out. Brandon Jones understood we needed the problem solved and didn't want to spend thousands of dollars tearing out walls unless absolutely necessary. Good work to him, and to the company for standing behind its warranty.

Mr. Fred and the tech who accompanied him contacted me prior to my scheduled window of time to inform me of their ETA. The scheduling team listened to my scheduling needs and arranged for Mr. Fred to come earlier if possible due to my schedule and his arrival time was perfect. They quickly and carefully repaired the gas leak on my hot water heater and answered all my questions.
Charles did my A/C inspection. He was very informative and taught me a couple things during the inspection.

Service technician came to house once then service was subcontracted. Workers spoke no English and very difficult to communicate with them. Toilets not set back properly, wobbled, had to reset them. Trench in front yard for days and when it was filled in, workers used garden hose to wet it down and broke the hose connector to the faucet. Left without saying anything about it. Wry frustrating experience!
Greatly Disappointed! Service rep seemed very uninterested in giving me alternatives and pricing for a project. Didn't take the timeto lay out why one way would be better than another. Just basically said the way I was quoted from other companies was wrong, never offered a comprehensive plan to show what's right.

Be sure you LOOK at the estimate and get them to explain step by step and line item by line item of the work they plan to do before you sign or give them a deposit. Christian Lopez sold me a gas test and leak search for a tiny leak detected during his initial assessment. Verbally told me the price but sent no invoice. By the time I got the invoice I realized he’d charged me for an additional labor hour and an unnecessary leak search to the tune of $1500. I spoke to 4 different people who could not explain why I was charged the extra fee and when I confronted him about it he said someone would contact me. They never did. Terrible customer service and they ARE trying to sell you things you do not need using scare tactics. Taking advantage of a single woman should be a crime it happens so often with these companies. Ladies beware.

Did not fix issue, actually made it remarkably worse. Leaked NO2 and Freon into house. Made it unlivable. Did not own up to their mistakes, left homeowner with the clean up and left. Chad was fast, efficient, and one-time. Price for the capacitor was at acceptable market value according to 6 other AC repair companies that I called around to. John Moore had no fee to come out to your house and give a diagnosis. Other companies were charging around $90.

Called John Moore because of a water Bibb leakage that was pretty bad. Was waiting on my home warranty to send a plumber out it had been nearly 5 days. The technician was terrific! If you need ac work done ask for Joe Johnson. I retract my statement. I had freon at my home and he added a little for me which I thought was terrific. However what he actually did was mess with valve causing it to leak out. I lost ALL of my freon in unit. Had to hire someone else to refill it. Can't believe I thought he was so terrific. At least I finally have air again! No leaks. This was technician caused.

Today's visit was the discussion and estimate - Did I really even need the work done - Technician was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. No issues at all - even scheduled the actual service. Had a whole-house water filtration system installed as well as whole-house surge protector. Great service, professional, patient, courteous, punctual. The prices may be a little higher than other plumbers, however, you get what you pay for. John Moore Plumbing has been great every step of the way. Very responsive to calls, great customer service via phone and in-person. Will definitely recommend!
Termites were feasting in cardboard boxes in garage. John Moore sent their very professional Jose to eradicate those pests. He worked continuously for a few hours to spread his little gift to the termite squatters.

Steve-O at John Moore did an excellent job in replacing a water heater and repairing other water heaters. Was thoughtful, professional and helpful in explaining the work that was completed along with steps to maintain the water heaters going-forward. Will use them again in the future for my plumbing needs.
Over a week ago, I contacted John Moore Plumbing about a hot water heater that wasn't working. A technician came out and told me I needed to replace the Thermal Pile Assembly (pilot light) and they would be back that afternoon to install. Later that day the technician called to say it is not a generic part and I should contact the manufacture since it was still under warranty. The original work estimate was for $1350 and I paid a deposit of $700. Per the technician, I ordered the part and paid $50 to have it overnighted to my home. I arranged with the technician to have the installation done Wed. (6.22.22) morning between 8-12. Just to be sure I called Tuesday morning to confirm; however, there was no record of the work order. I asked to speak to a manager who danced around a bit but agreed she would have someone out this morning between 8-12. This is particularly frustrating because both the technician and service manager knew I was in Galveston with my family and would need to drive back for the appointment this morning. Well at 11:00 this morning I called John Moore to check on the status. Per the person I spoke with, the technician that had my work order had been reassigned and I was no longer on the schedule. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they would get back to me in 2-4 hours which seems to epitomize the service experience I've had with the company. To be fair, they finally got the message when I told them I planned on posting a very unfavorable review. I have since had several follow up phone calls and a technician is on his way; however, no customer should ever have to deal with this level of incompetency, particularly after you've paid them $700.
What a poor first experience with this company! First they set up a free of charge estimate, then tech calls and mentions a $149 visit charge! Then after explaining the issue, the only solution he gave was replacing the entire unite for $15,000! It's like I asked you a question from a book, you don't know the answer so you copy paste the entire book, LOL. Pretty strong reasons why not to call these guys ever again!

Papal conducted an inspection and shared the results with me. He presented his findings and recommendations in a professional manner and at no time did he pressure me to purchase a new system. He did advise me that I might experience additional outage in the future. Called John Moore about my clogged toilet. Brandon came out first thing in the morning. He definitely knew what he was doing. He checked a couple of fixtures to make sure the water was flowing there and quickly determined that something was obstructing the toilet and that the outside drain didn't need cleaning. Which cost more. And within a couple of minutes found out what was clogging the toilet. So not only did he save me a lot of time, he also saved me a lot of money, so I appreciate that very much. Brandon was very friendly and professional and recommended other available services. So I would definitely recommend him.
This company is really quick and proficient . They were so professional and kept us in the loop of what was going on . There were no surprise fees which we appreciate!!

One Star only because I can’t post without selecting at least one.Called to request plumbing service. I gave the operator my address and she gave me a 4-hour window for someone to come out. Which I was ok with since I’d get my plumbing issue fixed the same day. Just a few moments later a plumber called to say he was on his way-45 minutes away. I immediately received a text saying my plumber was on his way, along with his tracking info.After an hour, he hadn’t arrived so I tried tracking him, but could not. I texted the company number to alert them that an hour had gone by and my plumber hasn’t arrived yet. After about half an hour I get a call stating they had entered my address wrong, they asked me for my address again, and stated they were rerouting the plumber back to my home. About another half hour later, I got a call from the company stating the plumber was already out of the area and wouldn’t be coming.Yea his is the second time in 10 years I call John Moore and both times a tech did not arrive. All I got was an “Oops, sorry.” SMH.
My husband & myself need to discuss this with each other first, we make decisions together. Johnathan was absolutely the nicest & most helpful repairman I've encountered in years. Our AC stopped working in the evening. After a quick phone call to John Moore, we had a technician diagnosing our AC at 8:45 am the next morning. Turns out we needed a new unit and they installed it the same day. Overall, only 24 hrs without AC, which I believe is an exceptionally fast turnaround time! Fast and very, very professional.
Alberto and team, all of the technicians and sales teams that worked with us we’re courteous and professional. They came on time, explained everything well and completed the job of installing a new condenser and evaporator coil in a timely and professional manner. Costly job but now have a peace of mind work was done well and in good hands with future maintenance plans.

WARNING!!!!!Tried to rip off my 72 yr old 25 yr military army veterans parents for $2600 AND a service Membership!!Stated they need two surge protectors or air flow handles FOR A UNIT THAT IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD!!!!!!I called a friend of mine that owns company in home renovation and he sent his A/C guy to look the next morning before John Moore Aptment of service.It took him 2 minutes to tell me their's NOTHING WRONG WITH THE UNIT or surge protector.. Plus if there was anything wrong with a surge protector at most with labor it would cost less then $500 and our unit only uses one surge protector...John Moore used an annual service membership to try an rip off my parents!!This isn't the only time John Moore did something non professional..The month prior tried to OVER CHARGE my parents for a water tank installation (we already bought a new tank at Home Depot the night before) almost $3000 for a job that's was at most $1300!!We have used John Moore in the past and now will never use them or refer clients to them ever again!!I never write reviews online because it's can permanently damage a company's reputation.. But if you're going to do business like this you don't deserve to be in business...People don't be afraid to shop around...

Papal was wonderful, patient, friendly, caring, thorough and clear. He so went above and beyond to help me feel confident that I was given the service I needed and that he cared about my well being (A/C was out). Trust is important, and I hope I can request Papal if I need another service call.
Requested a quote to install wiring for an electric cooktop in my 11 year old home that currently has gas. This was just to run wiring I had already purchased cooktop. Estimator spent approx. 15 mins inspecting fuse panel and 30 mins to develop the estimate. Was quoted over $3000 to complete the job. This was a complete rip-off. I feel very very sad for the individuals that don't know any better and get taken advantage of. Shame these types of snakes are allowed to exist.Follow-up - had another licensed contractor quote $980 and he completed all scopes of work that John Moore quoted - completed the work (1 person) in 4 hours.
Knowledgeable and informative professional did my inspection. I will ask for Humphrey next time I need an heating and air conditioning inspection.
Angel did an excellent job, completed the work timely. He also identified a problem with the water heater during his inspection.
Technician were very professional and knowledgeable about my home project.

I called for spring check up on AC. Unfortunately the system is very old and will need replacement. Mr. James Robinson was the technician who was assigned the call. He was very courteous but straight shooting when he had to give me the disappointing news. He answered all my questions in a manner I could understand and explained how the systems work. I appreciate the time he took to make sure I understood the outcome. Thanks for the information and the opportunity to meet a very nice gentleman.

2022 Victor came out on Thanksgiving morning and assessed the issue, gave us several options, connected us with financing and got the work started that day! He's professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. All the people that we needed to work with in the company made themselves available despite their holiday plans and we appreciate that greatly. I highly recommend John Moore Services and Victor Castro!2020 Again we used John Moore to fix a shower drain issue. We were given several options and possible future work that would need to be done. The drain issue was resolved and we know what to do to prevent future problems.2015 - We had the old plumbing pipes replaced in the attic with Pex. John Moore was completely professional from the technician who came out to review the issue, educate us on what needed to be done and why, to the plumbers who came and did the work quickly and carefully, to the office setting up the inspection, and to the renovation team who came in and repaired the sheet rock, which was cut into as minimally as possible. They stayed on top of the project the entire way through.

I regret not going with John Moore for my initial pest issues. They are hands down the most professional group of folks who take the time to explain things to their customers. I believe I got a good price for the pest services I needed and will continue to use John Moore. I recommend getting one of their memberships. We had let our lapse in 2021 but got back on it because it really does help.

We were experiencing electrical issues and reached out to John Moore Services and scheduled an electrician to inspect our set up. Mr. Jedd Johnson was dispatched and arrived on time as promised. He very quickly identified our issues and explained what was causing our problems and the safety risks that we had in a clear and professional manor. He outlined why we were having the problems and made recommendations on what repairs were needed to return our electrical service back up to code and SAFE operations. Mr. Johnson completed the work and again explained why it was necessary. We are very pleased with the work and greatly appreciated the time that Mr. Johnson took to ensure that we understood what and why the repairs were required. He was a true professional. This was our first experience with John Moore Services and we couldn't be more pleased with the professional work that was conducted. Needless to say, I highly recommend John Moore Services' electrical department. Thank you Jedd, it was a real pleasure to meet you and thanks for making our home safe again.
Paid several thousand (about $8k) for a new air conditioning unit about a year ago from John Moore. It hasn't been as cool as it should be lately, so we had a repair guy come out from John Moore. It's still under warranty, but the guy says $2k for labor to replace a coil. IT'S STILL AMOST NEW! Oh, the part is covered, but we're going to charge you $2k for labor? FREAKING RIDICULOUS.UPDATE! We had another tech come out today from a local company. Turns out it was a leak from a bolt connection to the unit. It was a very easy fix for a few bucks!!

Sales guy was professional, but then installation crew didn't show up in their window, even though I got a notice they were 30 minutes away. An hour later, I called and was told that dispatch would call me directly. They did not. I called back, and they still had not made contact with the installer, no ETA at the end of my window. I canceled the order. Then TWENTY MINUTES later as I was getting food, another crew called me to say they were at my property. I told them I canceled. I called a friend's referral, and he said a common industry tactic is to INFLATE the repair costs to get a replacement job. Beware, friends. Beware.
Please beware of this company!!! My mom called John Moore because her Air Conditioner stop cooling on 8/3/2022. Guy showed up and called me and told me my mom A/C unit was done. Said motor was burnt out and it had a Freon leak. Said needed a new unit at $14,000. I remind you my mom is in her 70's , I told him I would get some quotes before moving forward even though he insisted on getting it done. Called out a Family friend and it ended up being the shut off valve in the attic , pan was clogged . Unclogged pan and everything was working fine . I installed track lighting and needed the electrical wiring hooked up. Their electrician told me I had the incorrect light bulbs. I was charged $250. This was definitely NOT the case. I had the issue fixed for $90 today. DO NOT USE JOHN MOORE FOR ELECTRICAL REPAIRS.

The plumber who came to our house to address two plumbing issues that we had was named Fred Collazo. He was very knowledgeable and informative, and we greatly appreciated the fact that he didn’t try to talk us into anything. He finally fixed a long-standing leak under our kitchen sink, and he gave us some good advice about another long-standing issue with our aging water heaters. We are really glad that we called John Moore this time. I say “this time” because we had called in another plumber several weeks before to fix the leak in the kitchen, and he said that he had fixed it, but it turned out that he hadn’t. A very good experience overall. We will definitely use John Moore again.

I am 100% satisfied with John Moore service. I had installation of a hot water heater and a roof leak repair. All the guys that helped with both of these services were fantastic. The guys that installed the hot water heater were very professional, courteous, honest and extremely knowledgeable about what they were doing. I would definitely say the same thing the man that repaired the roof leaks. And they let you know about every step they are taking. When their work is done there is no mess whatsoever. I've used JM to get a new A/C, Furnace, Plumbing, and electrical repairs. I thought they were supposed to be the best, but their techs are just salesman. Sold me a new 10k a/c system that keeps failing, wants to charge us 2k to repair it. They priced the repair part at 4k (under warranty), yet the entire system retails online for 3.7k. John Moore is exteremly overpriced. Get a second opinion literally anywhere else and get a better price with better service. Save yourself the headaches that my family has had from them.
This is the second time that we've used John Moore. Josh did an absolutely fantastic job, was very professional and was very clear in explaining what was needed and in giving me my available options. I only wish that the fees charged by John Moore Plumbing were a bit more reasonable... they are in fact, about the highest fees that I have found, and I've used a number of plumbing services. For that reason, I may be shopping around next time, for something a bit more reasonable in price, but as far as quality, and the service Josh provided, it was top notch!!

First and foremost, the communication was exceptional. A picture of the technician and their name were provided via text before they arrived. It made me feel very safe.The technician was very professional. He assessed the work, provided an accurate on site quote AND he performed the work once the quote was agreed upon. He was quick and thorough. I couldn’t have asked for better service.
I had to get a new capacitor a couple of weeks ago. During that time I realized the importance of maintenance on my A/C unit. So, this was the first of two services. It was great, but ask again in six months. We’ll see, won’t we? Have a great day.
