David installed a garbage disposal for me. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and professional. He even showed me a trick to keep my pipes flowing well. I will definitely use them again.

Everyone working in the house was very nice and they they kept the house clean and completely fixed the leak. Calls were returned quickly and phone staff was friendly. Overall, they saved me a lot of money by finding the actual leak and getting it done before closing.

BACKGROUND:We found Herndon McFarland Plumbing through our Home Insurance agency during a difficult home selling process. While our house was inspected a possibility of a leak was found. Our buyers hired another plumbing company who found a separation in the pipes in a part of our house and quoted us a huge amount to fix the leak. It took us another high priced plumber to tell us that a separation doesn't necessarily mean a leak but they quoted us $600 just to do an isolated leak test after already charging me a couple hundred dollars to snake the pipes and relook at the previous plumbers findings. I was very frustrated at that point.

Our insurance company set us up with McFarland for the isolated testing and they did a very thorough job and found the true leak. Their quote to fix the leak (in a completely different place that the first plumber's guess -btw) was reasonable and they could finish the job when needed.

A few days before they were to begin one of the owners called me to tell me that they couldn't get a permit because there was some kind of lien on our property from a previous owner. He had already talked to the appropriate people and told me who I needed to contact and how I could resolve the issue. He was understanding of my freaking out moment and encouraged me not to worry. Luckily, I was able to get everything worked out right away and the plumbers could still do the work on time and as planned.

Quick service, professional and tech was on time. Explained my options that I had and didn't force anything that I didn't need/want on me.

The team was very professional and they did a awesome job and cleaned after the job was done. Highly recommend them.

I had a lot of major issues with leaks and my sewer lines under my house. They did a great job explaining everything, answering my questions promptly, and the work crews were polite and on time every day.I would use them again if needed and recommend their services.

Plumbers did a good job

We have been having issues with our tankless water heater and decided to call Herndon McFarland Plumbing to see if they could help. They came out and checked the water heater and told us they needed to flush it out for $200, but first needed to go get the supplies. They came beck TWO HOURS later, spent an hour flushing it and then told us we have to get it replaced. Trent gave us an estimate of 24-48 hrs to hear back from them to replace it, and its been 2 weeks. We never heard from them and our water heater is no longer producing any hot water. So now we are out of hot water and $200. Thanks Trent and Jarrett for wasting our time and money.

Great professional work, explained well. Worth the money.

I had a hot water line leaking underneath my home. Called Herndon McFarland and spoke to Lee McFarland. He was able to schedule me quickly to start the repair process. Patrick and Shawn made the repair and were extremely professional, polite and on time with each visit. Cannot say enough nice things about this company. Also have to give a credit to Decota who works in their office. She has also been very polite and helpful. Highly recommend, will never use another plumbing company.

I do not recommend this company they send different plumbing man all the time visit some plumbing man nice and explaining I ask some plumbing man very rude. After they fixed 3day another line leak they told me hot water line leak because they fixed cold lines I find myself cold line leak ask them to come over look astmayd meniger told my husband take pictures send him and give us $1800.00 astmayd and told my husband may be more don't no they need to see and start to work. This company change me moredan $3500.00 1st job still bad customer service no responsibility.

A fantastic plumbing company. Everyone that came to our home was incredibly polite and professional. We had a foundation slab leak, and it was completely fixed just one day after they identified where it was coming from. I cannot stress enough how friendly each person was, from the plumbers to the office staff that answered the phones. They even took the time to explain to me what they needed to do each step along the way. We will definitely be keeping them in our contacts for any time we need plumbing in the future.

Excellent work

After our family room ceiling was damaged by an old water supply line that burst from an upstairs bathroom, we contracted HMP. We also decided to replace two 22 year old water gas heaters. HMP plumbing did a great job replacing the supply lines and both water heaters including one that was in a tough spot in the attic. They were professional, hard -working and courteous. We are very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them.

Installed an entire outdoor system and did a timely, exemplary job. Those who did the work were very hardworking and courteous. I especially liked their team attitude. They are number one on my list!

Highly recommend HMcF Plumbing. David L. was here precisely on time and was up front about a) the situation with our faucets/pipes, and b) how the remedy may take certain steps. But they were extremely efficient and effective, and were able to fix the situation in short order. They were responsive, transparent, and great to work with! I'll be recommending HMcF and David to anyone who has plumbing needs in the area.

Chris was on time (even a little early) and the plumbing service was excellent. He was thorough and did a good job. Will use them again.

Overall, lost trust. I had a large project that involved rerouting the sewer line plumbing in two areas of the house. One of the plumbers cut a hole through the outside brick to install a pipe. In doing so, he cut out part of my rim joist (left it lying in the bushes) and cut right through the corner studs where two load-bearing walls come together. The dangling studs were hanging above the pipe. There was already considerable damage in the wall due to leaking plumbing. When I confronted the company about it, they sent out a plumber to discuss correcting the situation.

The representative said I didn't have weight on either load bearing wall in that corner. He didn't see an issue. That wasn't true. One wall was holding up my roof gable. After time, there would be sagging and those dangling studs would probably break the pipe directly under them.

That's when I lost faith in the company. Herndon McFarland Plumbing was very courteous and professional until I had this issue. Since it was my word against the representative, I ended up paying another plumber to install the correct 45 angle pipe outside instead of their 90 degree angle pipe and then reroute the plumbing inside the house. This allowed us to frame the corner and replace the rim joist.

Expert work, timely and priced exactly as quoted. Highly recommend.

Shawn and the HM team were A+ from beginning to end. They were professional, on time, and very knowledgeable. Shawn fixed my problem and even explained the how and why so I can prevent this in the future. I recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service done.

Only plumbing company I will use. They’re service is excellent and trust them implicitly. They replumbed our house 6 years ago and was very happy with the job.

Our insurance company sent two men from Herndon McFarland plumbing to our home today to check for a leak. After calling to say they were running late and would be at the house by 1:30, they finally showed up at 2:45. While performing their inspection, they broke our shower drain and left without disclosing it. Very unprofessional to do that and not communicate it, and as this was a custom design job performed by the previous owner, it will be almost impossible to fix. Very unhappy and I do not recommend that they be left unsupervised in a home.

This is the second time I have used Herndon McFarland. I had a sewer leak the first time and a cold water leak under the slab the 2nd time. Both times they were professional, responsive, quickly located the problem and performed a great job. I feel like I can trust them

I’ve used this company several times now and highly recommend them. Everyone is always friendly and professional to a person. The crews seem to like working together and also for this particular company. After each repair, they’ve left my property in excellent condition — sometimes better than how they found it! Very professional team of plumbers and plumber apprentices. They quickly found our leak, quoted a couple of repair options and made the repair. They took extra care in covering the repair area with plastic and cleaned up nicely when finished.

I had a leak from the kitchen faucet. The tech was so helpful and thorough with his assessment and recommendation.

I called HMP for a 'second opinion.' Turns out they saved me almost $5000...job was removing a section of sewer line with roots in it. Lee spent considerable time explaining what would be done and what the charge would be for each procedure, and answering all questions and concerns. No surprises or hidden charges. Techs were knowledgeable and professional, prompt and tidy. Great service.

These plumbers called in by Insurance Company to run water sewer test - then they broke the only remaining operable toilet (didn't say a word, or offer to repair their mistake). Had to tell Insurance Company to get then to repair and send $$ to fix. Herndon McFarland tried to down-play damage - if this is how they are with 'insurance', how are they hiring them for your needs?!! If I could give them MINUS 30 freezing marks I would. Horrible people - the plumber who came out to run the tests was rude, arrogant and yelled at the people doing work on site.

Reliable and professional

I called Herndon McFarland to detect a potentially slab leak detection. They correctly determined it was a pipe issue in the front of the house. Another plumbing company incorrectly diagnosed a slab leak which was wrong.

Under slab water leak. Location identified, slab broken, pipe repaired, slab hole closed in one day. Professional operation. Guys cleaned up afterward. A big thank you to all!

I really wish I could give zero stars. I’m sincerely disappointed in the level of dishonesty that occurred. Beware when working with this company and your home owners insurance company. They were contacted by the insurance company to come and inspect a plumbing issue. During the inspection the plumber made my husband and I aware of sitting water he uncovered around our shower and excluded that from the report he provided to the insurance company. In addition, he told my husband and I the seals in our shower were good and only leaked because he was spraying water directly on the shower door. However in his report submitted to the insurance company he stated the leak was due to bad seals but he could not confirm where the leak came from and we needed another company to go in the wall, which is what we did. Our claim was denied due to his report. The plumber advised us to call him once the leak was found to inspect, we called and of course he wasn’t available and never returned our call. We finally had to reach out to the insurance company to contact them and of course no one could arrive until two days later. We appealed the denial and this plumbing service wrote another report stating that could not determine the source as someone had already entered the wall, which was the recommendation provided on the first wrote they submitted. I say this all to say beware of using this company when working through your home owners insurance.

Broke a pipe below slab 2 days after buying a new home. These guys were fast, friendly, and very professional. Hope I never need them again, but if I do, they will be my 1st call.

What a great company and professional experience. Mr. Lee McFarland explained everything I needed done on my slab leak and stayed in touch with me throughout the process. I'm very fortunate to have found such a honest and reliable business to take care of my plumbing needs. I would highly recommend them . I had a couple of estimates and by far they were the best price. You can not go wrong choosing them.

Extremely professional and reliable, with outstanding customer service that is unparalleled these days. I interacted with no fewer than 6 employees throughout my history of repairs with them, and all were truly a pleasure to work with. The plumbers were respectful of our space, educated us on our options, and fixed our issues. The office admins are helpful and kind, and Mr. McFarland himself answered a call on a Friday afternoon and answered a time-sensitive question. I’ve had a fantastic experience with this company across the board.

Came out to look at waterfall wall faucet that had little flow. Plumber said it was probably the cartridge. Came back the following week with a cartridge. The manufacturer had gone out of business. Replacing the cartridge didn't help. The plumber had no idea what to do. They get two stars only because he didn't charge me for the cartridge or the 2nd call.

Called another plumber who had more experience with types of wall faucets. He took the plate off and cleaned the area where the buildup happens. No parts needed.

I hired them for fixing a main drainage pipe outdoors. In the beginning they were not very responsive. Also, the estimate of efforts were done wrong but they adjusted the cost when they finally did the work. Overall, I would recommend them.

My kitchen sink faucet was linking. I had another company look at it and that plumber told me that I needed to buy a new faucet and then they would install it. I did buy a new faucet. Herndon McFarland was already schedule to come out. Their plumber took one look at the faucet and fixed in within 5 minutes (probably less). No new faucet needed. I also asked the Herndon McFarland plumber how much it would have cost if I would have installed a new faucet. Their quote was 1/2 of the quote of the other plumber.

Once again HMP came to the rescue and saved me. Shawn was so quick and efficient. I have used HMP for many years and they never disappoint me.

All of the workers were outstanding! They were great to have in mj home for repairs!

We had five different plumbers who all came to our house who either couldn’t fix our issue or quoted us ridiculous sums and gave no guarantees. We called Herndon McFarland on a Friday after 5pm and expected to leave a message but Lee answered and was incredible helpful. He made sure they were out to our house first thing Monday morning and fixed our issue within an hour. The total price was less than a quarter what the other companies quoted us and we’ve never been more impressed with a plumber before. We will only use Herndon McFarland moving forward!

Everyone I encountered at this company was a pure delight to work with. It was scary to need extensive plumbing work but this team was courteous, prompt, CLEAN and very kind and respectful. The owner even came out when I had a question about a subsequent issue and scheduled the repair right away. They had to dig up an area of my patio and I was pleased with the way they matched my patio stone when they replaced it. They also did a great job protecting my shrubs and replanting them.

They repaired a sewer line leak. The crew was clean and efficient. Their excavation crew had all the dirt under my house put back and left my backyard the way they found it. Great job!

I called up about a drip/leak and explained what I had tried. Instead of charging me ~$130, they told me where I could get good OEM parts because the knockoff aren't good. $16 dollars later, no drip. So while I didn't use these guys, because of their honesty and helpfulness I will use them when I have a serious issue

This is the best company I have ever worked with. Their workers were always on time, very courteous and professional and always treated our home like their own. They had to do a lot of digging up on our foundation in order to repair our sewer lines which were very broken up due to age. They did a great job putting plastic up to minimize the dust thru out our home. The wore plastic on their shoes and even laid down cloth on the floors so they wouldn't get scratched. They cleaned up every day when they were ready to leave. Made sure the holes in the floor were covered up with plywood so we wouldn't fall in, etc. Once they were finished with the job they were kind enough to wait until we had repaired the tile flooring in our bathroom before putting in our toilet. When the job was done they hauled off all the old pipes, and made sure everything was nice a tidy.
I just can't say enough good about this company. I highly recommend them. They are trustworthy and professional.

I had a slab leak detected. Herndon/McFarland was called as a 2nd opinion. Their recommended work list was much shorter and less expensive than the 1st plumbing company. The team was responsive and very professional. They were informative and mindful of our time. When they got on-site to perform the job they found they would not have to tunnel under the house to reach our leak after all. They deducted a substantial amount from the fee due to the change. They completed the job in half the time quoted. They tarped the lawn, removed decorative landscaping without damage and returned the site back to its original state. I would definitely recommend this company.
