I was hopeful to be supporting a locally owned and operated business and had requested a quote. The plumber came for our diagnostic appointment and we went through the various projects that I was looking to complete and I thought the diagnostic went well and was informed that I would need a clean out installed prior to starting work. Austin water completed work fairly quickly and I reached back out to Austin Plumbery requesting the quote that had been promised. It took over a month and a half and several requests to finally get the quote. When I reviewed the quote. It was as if everything we went through wasn’t even noted and only one of the work requests I had asked for was quoted. I feel completely gypped. Ok, I understand if you have to charge a diagnostic fee, but come diagnose and not even remember or move forward with requests afterwards is poor customer service. I will not be moving forward with the work with this company. The lack of attention to detail is a clear red flag to any future work.

Highly recommend Austin Plumbery! We had 2 plumbing issues pop up within a couple of days of each other in the new house we just moved into (of course), and Austin Plumbery expertly handled the small job (slow shower drain in primary bath) as well as the big job (started raining through the ceiling when we drained the tub in our daughter's bathroom on the second floor). From scheduling to communication to the work that was done, everything was efficient and top quality, and everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. While I hope not to need a plumber again anytime soon, I will definitely call Austin Plumbery if I do!

Austin Plumbery was fantastic! Travis came out to fix our leaking fireplace and during that process we decided to update our water heater and get some gas issues up to code. I highly recommend for anyone in Austin looking for an awesome local Plumber.

This company is FANTASTIC! I called to get three quotes to replace my ADA kitchen faucet and repair/replace the garbage disposal. Oh my goodness!!!!! Austin Plumbery was referred to me by First American Warranty. This was the 2nd referral because the 1st one did not “want” to do the job and lied when I called to ask what the hold up was. I had a leaky water heater that was causing secondary damage.Austin Plumbery showed up with a smile on their face (EVEN WITH A MASK). Travis’s energy was pleasant and professional. Underground waterline leak was found in my front yard and I called more than 10 plumber companies in the morning and nobody was available until I found Austin Plumber. Joe came on time, friendly, experienced and skillful. He was able to locate the leak spot very quickly by his 30 years experience, which I thought might be time consuming and painful and already prepared for the worst case scenario - dig all the way along the waterline until we find the leak spot. Luckily, he found it easily just by several shoveling. Joe clearly explained the root cause to me, replaced the pipe joint and even provided a lot more suggestions for the future maintenance. The last but not least, the price they charge was pretty fair and reasonable compared other big plumbing company that could rip you off. I would strong recommend Austin Plumbery to be your top plumber.

This is a great local business. Travis was amazing! He definitely knows what he's doing and fixed a tricky problem with our old plumbing at a low cost. He was so friendly and helpful. I called Austin Plumbery as a third opinion on an issue going on with my sewer drain line. Ultimately they did not do repair work for me so I am rating them based on an initial diagnostic visit and a follow up.Strengths:- Cool that it's a local, women, and latino owned business- For the first call they were much more thorough than my first two opinions and actually identified that the issue was a lot less bad than I originally thought. Overall, I was really pleased that they didn't just go off of what the two previous guys said, but actually confirmed for themselves. Honestly, this alone saved me thousands of dollars and weeks of work to tunnel under my foundation and replace my pipes.The bad:- After this initial call, I wanted to get the issue fixed ASAP and requested a quote for the repair. It took them a whole week of me calling them every day to finally receive a quote for them *just* to dig a hole in my yard to see what was going on. On the day and time they were supposed to come, they flaked and said they'd have to come the following day instead, which would have been fine except that I had to call them and it was already the end of the day.- Because it had already been more than a week since the tech had been out to my house, the spray paint lines showing where the pipes were in my yard were gone. The tech did not have a scope to be able to figure out where the pipes were so had to go back to the shop to pick it up. He said he would give us a call back but never did.Overall, I'm disappointed because I wanted to give this company my business but ultimately I had to go with another company.

Tried to overcharge me by hundreds of dollars for a simple call-out; failed to respond to texts/emails in a timely manner. After much wrangling by my realtor, I did eventually receive the correct invoice, but almost two months after the call-out I still have not received a report of the issues they say were found. My last three emails have all gone unanswered.

The famous Travis was just as fabulous as other reviewers described. He made quick, expert diagnoses of three different problem areas and provided knowledgeable, skilled repairs. Travis was efficient, thorough, professional, pleasant, and was a great communicator. He left all areas clean to the best of his ability. Travis got out to my property on time and sent me a text 20 minutes before hand to let me know he was on his way. I showed him the standing water in my yard, and he got to work digging a two-foot deep hole to find the source of the leak. He showed me the problem and gave me an estimate before he went ahead and fixed it. He ended up replacing a few parts. Super friendly, super professional, and he cleaned up the mess afterwards. The whole job was done in about 2 hours. I will definitely be calling Austin Plumbery in the future.

Austin Plumbery was incredibly professional and fairly priced. I had a leak in the water line to my toilet and needed it to be taken care of quickly. I submitted the contact form on their website outside of their listed business hours, yet they called me 20 minutes later and scheduled a technician to come over the next morning. Travis was right on time and got the job done quickly. He was friendly, professional and was considerate enough to wear booties, gloves, and a facemask. I will be using Austin Plumbery again and highly recommend their services!

DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL, called these guys with intentions of supporting a local company. Should have taken the warning signs when they took almost a whole day to return my call and didn't show up when scheduled to, i spoke with Joe and he stated he would be by within a couple of hours and did not show up till the next day. I decided to give them the opportunity to perform the repairs they recommended and after 4 days from the day they started repairs to now, I am still experiencing the same problems! The pictures and information on their website is deceiving (including address and staff), Joe apparently is a one man band, he was the only one who showed up, the only one who answered the phone (initially) and the only one who can make a decision to fix my repairs properly, he (they) obviously has chosen not to stand by his work. Joe may be great at changing faucets and swapping toilets, but if you need other plumbing services and complicated work, look for someone else.

Besides the fact that Austin Plumbery is owned by a woman, I can’t say enough about the professionalism and seamless experience I had with the business as a whole. Text reminders and appointment details complete with a profile picture and overview of Travis, my plumber. I had someone out within 24 hours and a new garbage disposal installed. It is the second time we've had Travis from Austin Plumbery come do work and repairs at our house (leaking kitchen sink and problems with water heater). He gives great attention to detail, is very kind and thorough, and seems very knowledgeable. Both times he arrived within the given timeframe, we're very happy with there service!

Updated as of 10/6/21. I used Austin Plumbery who got me out of a bind several months ago and had a great experience as listed below. I'm having some standing water outside of my house and the city water crew said I should contact a plumber. I had another company set-up for a few days from now, but decided to try Austin Plumbery in case they could come sooner. Joe and tech came out same day just a few hours later from when I called. He was very knowledgeable, kind and professional. He even showed me what to look at on the meter. They ended up doing a Hydrostatic test and confirmed I have a leak in my plumbing :(. However, before moving forward he recommended I reach out to my homeowner's insurance to see what is covered in case it could help with costs. I truly appreciate the honesty I've received during both calls and not a push to get money and perform services that might not be needed or could be covered by other means. Thankful again and totally will call them for future needs!I tried to DIY our plumbing by replacing pipes (using solder) and installing a new valve. It didn't go well, so I needed to find a place quick so we could get our water back on. I called several places and most had a week out for availability. I called Austin Plumbery and left a message. They called back within an hour and had an appointment available next day first thing in the morning. I also liked that their service fee was less than most places and went toward repairs anyway instead of being in addition to. Travis showed up within the time frame specified (only two hour time frame instead of like 5 hours or all day as I've experienced in the past). I told him what we did and basically end goal was to get it repaired so we could turn the main water back on. He recommended most efficient and cost effective procedure and I agreed and he was done in a just a little over an hour and stayed at the costs quoted. I also thought it was very reasonable considering other services I've had to get in a bind like this. He was polite and followed COVID protocol as well. Austin Plumbery is awesome to work with and Travis knocked it out of the park-- EXACTLY on time, super friendly, such a good sport getting in my non-ideal attic, thorough (he checked my water heater and range) and FAST! He was out of here in under 40 minutes! AND, from the start-- Iris was great on the phone, fit me in for a very quick repair and everything happened just as she indicated!! Not to mention, affordable! Y'all are awesome!

Travis came out to look at a clogged pipe that’s caused some leaking in our garage. He fixed it during the first visit but we had to call again about a month later because of the same thing. Austin Plumbery was very quick to respond and came out within 24hrs of calling both times. Although we couldn’t get it all the way fixed, Travis was upfront on why and didn’t charge me for it. He gave great advice on possible solutions, including a call to the city for a draining system to be installed. I’ve never had a more reliable and trusted plumbing service. I found my go-to plumbers in Austin!

I recently bought a home with some legacy plumbing issues. The first plumber that I contacted came out and quoted me $6,000 to fix the problem without doing a thorough diagnosis of the issue. Next, I reached out to Austin Plumbery at the recommendation of my realtor. They sent Travis Whitby out, and he and his coworker figured out what was wrong and completely fixed my issue for just shy of $300 while informing me that the previous plumber was incorrect with his assessment of the problem. If you're in the Austin area, I highly recommend these guys for all of your plumbing needs!

10/10 recommend. They are very responsive- called me the same day I sent in a request and were at my house the next morning to repair my kitchen faucet. When the technician came in he worse coverings over his shoes, gloves, and a face mask. It made me feel more comfortable about having someone in my house during a pandemic. He addressed my issues with the faucet and told us best next steps if the issue presents itself again. I also think its great that the company is women owned- not something I see very often so when I do I hop on the opportunity to support them. So glad with the positive experience I had.

I called Austin Plumbery and the NEXT morning someone was able to come and diagnose what was wrong with my clogged shower drain. Travis was who helped me and he was great. He explained what he was doing and even did multiple checks around my house to make sure I didn’t have any leaks. I really appreciated his attitude and willingness to explain things to me (I’m a newish homeowner and like to learn about my home’s systems and how they work). I’ll definitely use them again should I need plumbing help.

They do not have a team. This company is run by one person. We had an issue with our RPZ and called this company and was told that he would here on Monday and he did not show up. Called multiple times on Tuesday as well to confirm if he is coming and he lied that he would fix come fix it but never showed up.Free Advice: If you do not want to work on a project let the customer know so that they will at least look for other alternatives.

After seeing their postings on Nextdoor and finding positive reviews on Yelp, I was eager to use a neighborhood business and gave them a call to schedule a visit for a leaking toilet. Super accommodating to schedule and great communication for appt confirmation and before service appt. Travis and his colleague were amazing, on time and very courteous. Found the problem in a matter of seconds and completed the job in short time. Great service and VERY affordable and accommodating. I am extremely grateful and would highly recommend.

Austin Plumbery is definitely a five-star company. They are professional, timely, and have reasonable rates. I have used them for my home and for the campus that I manage. Joe was very patient and accommodating through my recent bathroom remodel. He had to come multiple times, and it was always with a smile. Plus, it's a female-owned business, and I am one for supporting women in the trades.

During the Texas winter storm disaster, we weren't able to turn our water back on at the sewer level because the valve deep in the ground was broken. Travis and his team were able to come and completely replace the parts and had us back up and running. They were quick to respond, they knew exactly the parts to bring, and were in and out. We will only use them in the future!

Wow! If you want the best service in town, you have to call Travis Whitby with Austin Plumbery. He fixed a leak in our yard for a reasonable price! We had new countertops and a new sink installed so we needed a plumber to re- install our garbage disposal and re-attach our faucet. M1 Plumbing was able to come out the very next morning. They were sent by first American home warranty to repair a leaking water heater, and these people are awesome. I’ve had really bad experiences with tradespeople sent by first American in the past, but this experience was great. They got me a brand new water heater and brought everything up to code. I did have to pay a little out of pocket, but 100% worth it.

I tried to use this business based on the reviews and bc it is female owned. BUT when I called the main line the person answering the phone just said “yeah”. So I had to ask if I had the right number. They put me on hold. I hung up. They called back. I scheduled (maybe an off day for this person, idk). They scheduled w me for the very next day - then never called - never showed - mailbox full. That’s my experience.

A plumber that comes on time, saves money and over delivers?!?! WoahI first learned about this company through my home warranty company, which pretty much gave them free reign to charge whatever they wanted, but the gentleman came in, tightened a couple shower handles and solve the problem in less than 30 minutes.That’s why I look them up when I needed to pay for something on my own. They quoted me fair prices for a couple of items, ended up resolving one of them without having to charge me, and over delivered on the replacement of some upstairs shower handles. I’m super impressed with the company and also Travis specifically. Thanks guys!

These are my go-to plumbers--I believe I have used them 4-5 times in the last couple of years. Always on time and work quickly and efficiently. I've had them change out all my toilets to upgrade to water conservative models, fix leaks, fix clogs and slow sink and bathtub drains. They have also replaced my two hot water heaters in my attic which required some skill due to the layout of my attic. Also reasonably priced. Highly recommend them.**Just wanted to update that we are still using Austin Plumbery--just had them out to do some more additional work and still impressed with the quality of work and professionalism. My master bathroom tub got clogged so I called my home warranty company. A plumber from Austin Plumbery came out and said we needed a new stopper. Our stopper is copper but all the plumber had was silver. He put in a silver one and said he would check on adding a copper one and call us. He never called. I called Austin Plumbery and they said copper was not included in our warranty plan and if we wanted them to switch it out with copper, it would $290. Instead of us just paying for the difference in the hardware cost, they wanted to charge us all over again. I will never use Austin Plumbery again and will let my home warranty company know.

They were excellent in responsiveness, came out several times to complete work. We will definitely use them for any plumbing issues.

Had them move a washing machine hookup for me. They came out, gave me a quote, and did the work as promised. They were quick, clean, and courteous. They aren't cheap, but their prices are fair and they did good work.

They were supposed to come and fix my hot water in my apartment at csc management and went straight back and lied said my water was 110 degrees. They lied. I have been without hot water for months and these people come in and lied. Shame on you. I am a 57 year old woman who always pays rent before it is due and can't get hot water. I have reported these people
