Called them out to fix my AC. Paul our repair was very unprofessional on the phone. When he finally showed up we got quoted for $550. Had to pay $400 cash up front because apparently his card reader wasn’t working. And he wouldn’t take a check. The other $150 would be paid today when the ac repair was done.When he got done with the repair he said the total for today was $559.Saying that we were wrong about the price being $150. And he said $559. Which he never did.Very unprofessional, don’t recommend at all

Used to install new A/C& Heating System been 1yr and a1month System thermostat error message E79 the drainage line need to be clean or Blown Out take about 15mins whopping cost $395. Year old System 1st svc issue unluckily for me the svc Warranty expired 1month before would been covered. I still have 9YRS left to pay for the System. Thought the same provider would had better rate for a cust that got their whole unit from them. Disappointed 😞Ms. C

New HVAC system to replace a 20-30-year-old system in quirkily-renovated 1950s house. I picked them because they noticed and explained a lot of little issues that needed attention, and included them in the price. Salesman was persistent but knowledgeable and responsive. Installers were skilled and cleaned up after. I might have found a better price elsewhere, but this was close enough and I liked the communication and the results.

Service man showed up by himself for a central heat & AC replacement (on time) a lot of work for one man who was professional & polite. Order was not right he brought a unit that does not adapt to the heat pump that he didn’t have which is what i purchased . Unable to actually contact Co but finally got a hold of salesman and he said that they would return on Monday with correct AC unit & pump . Which means I’m going to be out of work Monday & my wife & I are without heat for the weekend since 1 hour after service man left the new thermostat he installed went off with a note on screen the the thermostat would have to charge at that time it shut down 24 hours ago & has not come back on. Air handler was properly installed in a timely manor. No complaints about installer but the shipping dept must not be as efficient as he was. Customer service should be available to customer, maybe I should of been more involved with customer service than I was which I thought I was throughout the process. NOT AT ALL HAPPY TO BE WITHOUT HEAT FOR TWO DAYS AFTER SPENDING THIS KIND OF MONEY.

I called Friday evening for AC repair, the girl who answered the phone was very professional and explained the service in detail. Im very disappointed in ARS services on their last visit. I’ve been their client for many years and they have always provided excellent service. This las time, the technician was not knowledgeable and experienced in my AC/Heat Carrier system. He wanted me to know how to turn on and off the system and asked me technical questions that they, as technicians, should know. Definitely, ARS should train better their personnel.

Worst experience ever. Took forever to get someone to my house. Told me he needed a part and that he would go pick it up at a place about 20 minutes away. 2 hours later called and told me it would be $600 for the labor. I called another place who said it would be about $300 for them to do it. Do not use this company. They overcharge and think they can get away with it because you need your heat on. Unreliable and expensive.

Technicans are very professional! Great prices for yearly 2 maintenance checkups. And most of the issues like leaks, changing capacitors and water clogging are fixed without any additional charges. I've been using them for last 2 years and my 15 year old HAVs are working like a champ.

I had a same day appointment for my call. The blower of my HVAC system was broken and the A/C was not working either. Kevin took time to explain us everything, gave us options of repair vs replace. Took time to answer all our questions. Next day, the technicians who came to install were professional, skilled. They installed, cleaned up before leaving and explained us everything. I am happy with ACR and would highly recommend if they give same service if something goes wrong.

The scheduling needs to be improved. I got two appointments scheduled 9to1pm then 8AM to 10AM. the dispatcher didn't dispatch anyone, Instead after I called 3times it was canceled. My 9:13 call to confirm the 8AM to 10AM. Was confirmed. That's not good customer service to me in my opinion.

It is a warranty job to replace coil unit. The technician came but was not aware of just labor to replace the coil unit. He called his supervisor to ask to proceed any check on the system. He got back to tell me it would be $3500 to just for labor to replace the coil unit. It turned out to be a misunderstanding to install a new unit.

Very pleased with the service I received from ARS today. Our A/C unit stopped blowing cold air just as a heat wave started in our area. They came within a day of making a service request via Handy and communicated we'll. The two technicians were courteous, professional, quick, and thorough in both their diagnostics and prognosis. The technicians replaced our capacitor and explained that it was burnt out not because of age but because of overuse due to an aging and inefficient motor. They talked us through options for service, repair, and replacement. Though they connected us with a salesman from ARS, I did not feel pressured into making any future commitments with the company. I appreciated both that they were able to make our unit functional again and explain what to expect in the future.

I know nothing about HVAC and ARS had installed 2 units 54 weeks ago. During a 100 degree heat wave one unit stopped working due no power to thermostat. ARS responded a couple days later. The tech was nice and quickly identified the problem as a clogged drain line. Advised it would be $339 to fix. Again not knowing HVAC I agreed as I didn’t want another day of 94 degrees in the house. He gave a short burst of air down the line and poured a chemical down it. Less than 5 min. I thought there would be more to it than that. Highway robbery - I should have done a little research on solutions rather than this. But because of warranty is why I called them. I understand that I’m also paying for their experience and would have understood $200 for that. But come on!!!! I am as angry with myself for allowing it and not doing my research as I am at them for gouging me.

Our AC was having issues with short cycling and being able to keep up with the heat. I called ARS and they were very professional and confirmed my time window and kept me up to date on when the technician would arrive. Sheldon came to our home and was very kind and professional and helpfully explained the issue. He was able to fix it fast and efficiently. Recently, our unit needed some small maintenance, so I called ARS again who sent Charles over. He was also very friendly and explained the tune ups he had to do. Very great customer service, from the call center to the techs. They’ll now be my go-to company for any HVAC service we need!

They came out to diagnose an issue with out heating system. They did that well, showed up on time and didn’t take too long. Price for the work seems fairMy issue comes with the delivery of the info. Within a few seconds of greeting me, he launched into “this is the worst case scenario” (actual words used) to describe our system. Not true. Worst case was that it would never work unless we totally replaced the unit. This was a sales pitch to go high and then deliver lower options. I had bought a brand new unit in March and I’ve had nothing but issues. I had 8 different visits from technicians in the first 4 months of owning the unit. I’ve had multiple complaints about poor service or the unit purchased not working properly. Every technician to come out can’t figure out the issue and some have resorted to looking up googles advice. I was later informed that the technicians are too scared to work on the system because it is newer and they don’t have the experience.

Tia company hires the most incompetent employees and or outsources them too. Had a new unit put in May 2022 and from the beginning we have had issues. First the installation was done and then it was discovered that the unit was on heat/cool and we were unable to change it because it wasn’t done in the nest thermostat. The very next day they had to come fix it. Then the best thermostat had to be replaced about 3-4 times plus the AC wasn’t working right nor was the heater. Today they came out and discovered the thermostat in the unit in the hallway was set to gas and not electric. Possibly been this way the entire time so almost a year…. No wonder the heater wasn’t working last week when we needed it. There were a few other things that had to be fixed as well. Makes zero sense this is happening since day one. I do not understand what is going on with this company and why they get such good reviewsZ I know we can’t be the only ones that have had to deal with this

Scheduled an appointment for 8 am. At 10:30 am the company calls and says the technician was about an hour away. Finally the tech arrived, I explained all the details of what happened and what I did to try to fix the issue. The tech stated that it seemed as if I fixed the problem. I asked the tech to look over the system to be sure, as I'm no ac tech. He stated that would be a separate charge. Unfortunately for then on everything was a separate charge. My expectation, yes the system is working now, and yes I diagnosed it. But you should still walk the system and ensure the problem was corrected.

ARS was responsive and timely. My heating unit suddenly stopped working. At first I thought it was the thermostat unit not connecting, so I tried trouble shooting it myself. After working on it for about 30 minutes , I noticed that it wasn’t the thermostat. I called ARS after doing a google search and they were able to schedule a technician to come out to my house the same day. Scottie the technician was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He fixed the problem within 30 minutes and just like that, I had heat. Just in time I must say as the forecast for the weekend is supposed to be in the single digits.

So Grateful! When I called you on Thursday night you set the appointment for Friday between 9-1. I received a call at 9:55am advising a tech was on the way. I then received a text providing the name of the technician. AntiJuan Starks came in, was very polite and got right to business. He was able to fix the issue within 10 minutes for $175. We had another company come out last night after we waited all day, when he came, it took home a good 1.5 hours and quoted us $1368 and told us we needed to purchase a new motor. Edwin the sales rep was very informative and helped us select an entire HVAC unit to replace our original one that was already 20 years old. I called this company to take care of drainage in the kitchen. Waited for a long time and when called they said they called some phone number (not the one I gave) they canceled it. The manager was so rude, and condescending and was very hostile. She did not want to honor the scheduled appointment and unilaterally canceled it. Been doing business with them for over 25 years. Installed 4 new HVAC units over that period in two separate homes with annual maintenance programs, added additional 17 inches of insulation and full heat barriers in the attic. Lately, during the heat of 2023, one new (1.5 years old) unit motor burned out. I called and scheduled repair for following Monday. At the appointed time, no show. I called and they did NOT have me scheduled. Rescheduled for two days afterward. Repairman came, confirmed burned out motor and promised he would personally pick up the part and install next day. When no one called, I called them to check and was told the motor was not in stock and they had to order from manufacturer which would be asap with no date promised. I had to call to find this out. Now, in temps over 106-108+, we may have to wait 4-6 days for repair. I’ll not be using this company again in the future! What had been excellent service has been degraded to very poor, plus.Update: comedy of errors with supplier, misshipment, reordered…we were 4 weeks without upstairs AC during the hottest Texas summer on record! The response I repeatedly received was “ it’s not our fault”. This may be true, but most servicers would have gone a different route , borrowed from another unit temporarily, made some arrangement to provide service under these circumstances. I spoke to my old ARS company in Austin, and they said they would “never” let their customer suffer for that long! They would definitely have performed a temporary relief somehow! It’s now fixed with no consideration given on my having to pay labor for the warrantied part install. I suggested the very least they could offer would be to waive the $450 labor fee. Again, I got, it wasn’t our fault! As a service provider specialist my entire career as a banker, I would never blame my supplier for a client not being properly taken care of. That’s what a good servicer does! Then I would appropriately deal with my supplier for having caused the problem not being resolved promptly. I’m still steaming about this and have a call into their CEO, Scott Boose, in Memphis, Tenn. By the way, their motto is, “ Making it work, making it right”.Further update: my “tune up for HVAC” was schedule the day after the above motor was installed. This is a prepaid annual maintenance program to insure all is well. The service rep showed up, albeit after the allotted appointment, was extremely thorough, courteous, professional, had good recommendations, gave me a full report. I relayed the problem I had had regarding the 4 week wait period. He really could respond to that. In any event this service call was more as I have experienced over the years. I was quite satisfied with him. I would rate him a 5 star. They’re lucky to have him.

What a terrible time for my air conditioner to stop working. Last Friday I could tell something was wrong. So with my one fan my little dog Sky and I waited till morning to call someone .I put in a call to an air conditioner company, and they came out to look at my unit---told me the line was stopped up and would need a plumber. That certainly was not what I wanted to hear. Next day being Sunday I decided to wait until first thing Monday morning to call my plumber.Monday morning a call to my plumber and they could not come until next day and gave me a number of another plumber. He could not come until that afternoon. Well since Sky and I had not had much rest we both fell asleep, and I found out we had missed him coming to my house and knocking on the door. I am hard of hearing, and my doorbell Sky did not hear him. By this time he said he would try the next day. Somewhere in all that I had borrowed another fan, and the temperature was sitting at 94. Sky had recognized the heat level, and anytime I came back in the house this 15 pound dog was dragging me outside--- sitting outside all afternoon sweating and knew we could not make it another night.That's when I called ARS and told them my story. In a few hours Juliano came out and evaluated my problem and decided I needed the help of one of his associates and were scheduled from 6pm to 10pm. By this time Bubba the boss heard my story and called me to say he was coming to put in a window unit so at least one room would cool off and the other technician would come the next day. What a blessing to finally get cool enough to get some rest! Well Paul came the next day and unstopped a line which had been my problem all this time.Bubba, I am so thankful for you and your awesome employees who came to the rescue of an older lady and her little dog Sky. You are truly life savers. God bless you and your company.

Initially, on a Saturday, I called for a technician to come out to fix my 1 year old unit. The ARS Dispatcher stated the only open appointment will be the following Monday between 8 and 11 am. NOT a good choice for your AC/HVAC needs. I went with them even though they were on the expensive side, thinking I want great quality, well that is not what I have received. I had them install a new HVAC system just last year and have needed them to come out several time since then. Now my compressor is out and I’ve been without AC for five days and have no ETA on when they’ll be able to replace it. Most of the technicians that have come out don’t have a good attitude and I’m upset I’ve gotten poor quality at such a high price. I would not recommend them AT ALL.

I have 2 AC units. Both under a year old. My upstairs AC (3 ton) was not cooling but my downstairs unit is working fine. AC tech said the compressor of the 3 ton unit (upstairs) is not working and need to be replaced. AC tech said it would be 2,400.00 to repair.Since my AC is less than a year old, I want to reach out to the manufacturer to get a replacement since my is still under warranty. So, I declined the service.Remember, I said my other AC unit is working fine. Later in the evening, my downstairs unit is not cooling. My AC unit was old and stopped working in the middle of this hot weather and it was time to change the whole AC unit. Through Home Depot, ARS/ Rescue advisor came to my home for consultation. Consultant Liran was knowledgeable, and very helpful about what I needed and explained everything including the price, models and warranty. I finished the process on the same day and the techs came and installed my AC unit in the next day in less than 24 hours. What an amazing and reliable employees! Inconsistency, did not arrive on Saturday as scheduled. My husband took off work on Saturday. Sunday, technician arrived, upstairs was hot and downstairs was cool. The ARS company reputation is ruined by someone. Be careful to sign the contract, don’t believe the braggart. I changed 3 units in April 2022 by ARS and paid $50,000. After using one summer and one winter, I must complain the supervisor, technical manager Scott is a braggart. My feeling is to be cheated and fooled by his cheaper promises. He promised he can solve the noise problem before signing contract, but after that he didn’t complete his promise. He can find any excuse to do nothing, not to really fine out any possible plan. Now I have to use two units. If I turn on the third one, the noise is unbearable in my bedroom. I waste my money because of his boast. The other employees are nice, like Mr. Charles Crapo( I would give him 10-star review), I would respect them. If you meet the braggart, please be careful before you sign the contract.

I always go with ARS after having a problem with a competing company (whose brand is a jingle in the DFW area). ARS is highly professional, arrives within the estimated window, gives you a heads up call, and the technicians are quite knowledgeable. Our technician told us about basic maintenance tips that we had no idea that we should be doing to extend the life of our AC system. There was no upsell or pressure to buy at all.

The ARS technician, (Jake) arrived within the given timeline, All the while having to traverse the extreme icy weather conditions to complete the service call. He was extremely professional, with impecable personable service. Also, very knowledgeable with the heat pump operations and Nest Thermostat programming, providing a complete system operational check..Jake also pointed out the heat pump could use a soft start kit which would increase the effeciency and longevity of the unit while reducing the in-rush current needed for compressors to start by 60%, thus minimizing potential damage to compressors from mechanical shock hard-starting current surges.The dispatcher was thorough and complete with timing and notifications.The entire ARS experience is highly recommended. I had an excellent experience today with ARS/Rescue Rooter. I called them this morning because our AC has been unable to keep up with these high temperatures and I thought the unit might need a tune up. I was able to book an appointment the same day and was updated on the exact time the technician would arrive (within the window). Anti Juan arrived right on schedule, cleaned our AC unit, replaced a broken fan, and added coolant. With each item, he came in and explained what needed to be done and the cost before proceeding. We were very pleased with the professionalism and prompt service. Our AC is now working much better! We decided to enroll in the maintenance program and they will come out twice a year and do a tune up on our unit for no cost.

Our AC was taken out by a lightning strike. I called ARS this morning and they got a Tech scheduled to come between 8 and 12, which was great. Garison arrived and had to do some diagnostics to figure out what the problem was. He determined that a switch on the outside unit and control board inside had to be replaced. He had a replacement switch but had to order the board. But he got the system working. Thank goodness as it's supposed to hit 95 degrees today. I would highly recommend ARS for any plumbing or HVAC service/repairs.

Our 20+ year AC went out the day before Labor Day. Called ARS in the middle of the night and they promptly returned my call. Was hoping to make it through the summer in Texas heat without having to replace the unit. They dispatched a service technician early on the morning of the holiday. He repaired the old unit but since it was so old and already not cooling as it should, we decided to consider replacing the unit. ARS Salesman Kevin came out on the holiday and discussed options. He was professional, answered all our questions and was not pushy. We selected a new HVAC and it was installed the following day. I would recommend ARS.

I have to say, I am pretty frustrated for the amount the unit cost and that I have had made for phone calls over the last 4 weeks to try and get some answers to why it’s so loud and 2 of the rooms are not cooling well. One person came and looked at it and said he had to talk to his supervisor. And never heard back. Called again today and no return call. Next stop Back to Homdepot maybe they can help me get this fixed.

Roy came out to do our routine maintenance, due to the current season it’s the heating system. From introducing him self to asking if he may enter the home and putting on that shoe booties! To then proceeding to ask about my outdoor ac unit in regards to how it’s running and if I had any issues with it to replacing my filter was Amazing. The window for arrival was 9-1, but they did call and tell me it would be closer to 1, which was fantastic. Charles arrived and got straight to work performing the ac service. He identified quickly an issue, fixed it, then continued the service. He suggested some additional services that were recommended, but was not pushy. Shout out to Travis Prater, with ARS rescue rooter, who was very professional and knowledgeable.I went into Lowes Murphy where they created a lead, within 10min of giving my information i was contacted by ARS rooter and an appointment was set up.Travis gave us 3 options for HVAC systems and explained what was needed and answered all questions.Kayla, who set up the appointment also kept me informed of special deals.The install was set up for next day after signing. Oh and because they work with Lowes I was able to put it on my Lowes card and pay half up front and the balance when the unit is installed.
