My experience with Roto-Rooter was a very good one. They showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner.

Mirso showed up with 20 minutes of my call, and was very professional and helpful.

The pressure tank to our hot water heater sprung a leak on a Sunday afternoon (don't they always?). Called RotoRooter for help and got an immediate voice on the other end of the phone.

Technician arrived to our home within a few hours of the call and was courteous, professional and explained exactly what needed to be done to fix our issue. He did a great job and our issue is now resolved.

When he checked the first replaced part and discovered the water was still not shutting off correctly, he checked the flush valve and said it was not working, made a second trip to Lowe’s without complaining, returned and replaced the valve and checked to see if the water flow was being stopped correctly.

Had a water drip from the upstairs ceiling. 2 plumbers came, inspected both bathroom tub/shower. Speculated the problem, gave some ideas on the problem. Plumbers were very customer friendly. Whatever the problem, it's gonna take some exploring inside the wall...and it ain't gonna be cheap.

I must say I was a bit nervous calling Roto-Rooter based on others stating how expensive this company are. We had drainage issues in three places due to the tile company negligence in throwing tile and grout down our shower drain. Nevertheless, Roger D. came out, spent a few hours at our home making sure everything was in working order before he left. He worked so hard, I felt bad, because the clog was giving him a hard time. He definitely had the tools and skills to resolve our issue. If you're looking for quality work with a warranty call Roto-Rooter....spending the extra money is worth the piece of mind! Called Roto Rooter on 5/17 for water clean up, dispatch kept telling me that the tech would call me back, no one ever called me back for 2 days, I called back to get another appointment, one of the techs voided my appointment, saying they called and I didn’t answer! COMPLETE BOLD FACE LIE! I WAS WAITING BY MY PHONE FOR THEM TO CALL ME BACK!

I cannot say enough good things about them! We called on the morning of the Super Bowl no less and they were at our house within a few hours. Guys were incredibly kind, wore shoe covers to keep the house clean, and were honest with what they suspected the issue was and the cost to fix it. Also they wore masks and were very professional. Will not use any other company! Thank you RotoRooter!

Called at 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon and this 24 hour plumber waited 3.5 hours to tell me they couldn't get anyone out until Sunday and that it was up to me to call again Sunday morning. Called at 8:15am Sunday and they again couldn't telll us when they would be out. Waited until 4:30pm and called again, the 24 hour plumbers can't make it until Monday. Already had an appointment with another plumber Monday we called during the week, thank goodness. Never attempting to use this plumber again.

Roger arrived within 30 minutes of my calling in. Although it was late in the evening , He was professional , courteous and dedicated to repairing my clogged drain. I had a great experience and would highly recommend.

I had another plumbing company come out after waiting a day and could not fix the issue. The next day I had a second company come out, and they also could not accomplish the task. I called Roto-Rooter in the afternoon and they came out a few hours later and successfully fixed the issue! Mirso was very helpful when he arrived and assured me he would not leave until he had fixed the problem!

We had a very serious leak and could not find where it was coming from.. Our garage was flooded. We knew it was going to be costly. We had several estimates done, but Roto Rooter had worked in our home a few years back and we knew their work was great. We called Roto Rooter back out after they did their estimate and were very happy to find out that Roger could come right back out. It wasn't because of the estimate it was because of their work.Roger spent several days working on the leak due to the fact he had to drill into our garage floor. The leak was massive. We could not even turn the kitchen sink on without flooding the garage.Roger did an awesome job and even came out and replace the kitchen pipes. Today we have water and no leak. Thank you Roto Rooter and Roger Maddock for such great services.

Brooks was very friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem and explained how he was going to address it. He took care to not cause damage to my home during his work. I will use Brooks again when I need a plumber.

THEY ARE NOT 24 HOUR - EVERY ISSUE I HAVE DURING THE EVENING OF OPERATION NO ONE IS AVAILABLE - THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL ME THEY HAVE ONE TECH ON FOR THE WHOLE CITY OF NASHVILLE FOR AFTER HOURS?!?!?! CAN NOT BE SERIOUS

They came to replace a gas control valve that was barely 1-year old. I liked the customer service response to scheduling and professionalism of repairman.

Robert is top notch. His service went above my expectations and I have very high expectations. If you need plumbing work, Robert is the one you need to call. I highly recommend him and you should ask for him by name if ever in need.

I called them about coming out to fix a pretty bad leak. A very nice man came and took a look and said he would send me an estimate the next day.... That was Thursday and it is now Monday and I have still not heard back. I even called and asked and still not a call or email. Thank goodness there are other, more responsive, less expensive options nearby.

Called needing emergency service for a water line in my new home that had been punctured with a nail. Explained water was running out of my wall and needed emergency services. Called around 5:25 PM 3/21/22. It's 3/22/22 and I'm still waiting for a call back. Service is a joke. Luckily I cut the water off and fixed the pipe myself. Will not ever give this business a chance again. Find someone local who actually needs the business. Clearly they're so busy they don't even need to call customers back or show up to do work. Must be awesome to run a business that doesn't need to make money.

Customer service over the phone scheduling service was efficient, professional and polite. They came out today with helpful advice and a fair quote. Our plumber was quick and knowledgeable. We will definitely use them again!

Called these guys for an emergency at my work on a Monday night. They were fast, responsive and professional. Got my situation fixed quickly and for after hours rates it was quite reasonable. Would definitely use them again.

Excellent response time. Arrived two hours after first call. Quickly diagnosed the location of the clogged sewer pipe. Cleaned it out then scoped the the pipe to insure the problem was taken care of. Good friendly people. Tim Arnold

Very disappointed. Will never return. Called prior to service and was advised they would accept a coupon. After service was advised they would not accept the coupon. Was told they would follow up with me to discuss, and never got a call back. Upon calling them again, was told they had no records of my initial call (even though I offered exact dates and times). Very frustrating and unfortunate.

Called set up an appointment. They came when they said they would and fixed the problem. Price was reasonable.

Only problem I have was the amount I had to pay. He came out Feb 1 to find the issue. I paid $500. He said if I told him they could go ahead n fix it it he would apply the $500 to repair cost which was $3800. I was not sure what to do, so waited and called back to say yes, please fix. I still had to pay $3800 in addition to the $500.

I called Roto-Rooter to come out due to a blockage. The technician was prompt, friendly and took care of the problem. I would definitely use them again if needed!

My husband just got out of the hospital on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 and this afternoon May 22, 2021, heard water running in the basement. The tech fixed the problem effectively and efficiently. He went above and beyond to get our problem resolved. I am so thankful that Roto-Rooter is open for emergencies.

Brad Robbins (tech) was efficient and was very thorough. He was able to find an outside pipe access that three other plumbing companies had not been able to find before to unclog a blockage that no one could get to. He was very courteous and was upfront with what he may need to do and what the prospective costs would be for each. So happy with today's service. Thanks Brad!!!

They are way overpriced. I had a sewage stoppage and they want to charge me $350 for the job. I told the guy that's ok. He reply are you sure and I said yes. I then called another plumbing company and the did it for $90. What a big difference in price. I will never called them again what a big rip off. 😨

I called couple companies, but Roto-Rooter was the one that responded to my request and came out to fix my problem and the person who has handled my plumbing leak was on time and professional.

Chad was very professional and thorough. He arrived and resolved the problem within an hour of me locating it. He also provided some helpful tips to help us maintain the integrity of system. We have used another pluming company, in the past, for the same problem, and they were double the price, took more than half a day to correct the problem, and tried to convince us to commit to doing a project that would cost thousands of dollars. Thank you, Roto-Rooter and Chad for the service.

Attempted cat rescue from storm drain:
Would like to thank Brandon and the local Franklin, TN branch for trying help me rescue my cat from the storm drain. They were on-site less than two hours after calling in. Brandon and I tried snaking her out but no luck. Thanks again!!! Update: City water dept. came out and we were able to clear her out with their storm drain cleaning tool.

I called Roto-Rooter in the middle of the night after I discovered my hot water heater had stopped working. They diagnosed the problem over the phone, and informed me that the part that was needed to fix it would have to be purchased the following day.

They called me back first thing the next morning to check and see if my problem had been resolved, and had a technician at my house within an hour. Robert fixed my hot water heater and gave me some tips to extend it's life. Very helpful, very professional. This was the first time I used Roto-Rooter, and will definitely use them again.

What a great service! I was able to get someone (Carl Schmidt) out here immediately to unclog my kitchen sink & washer hookup, which usually needs this service every year. Not only did he take care of it meticulously -- running the drain auger at least three times, but he sent a video camera through the system to see why it clogs regularly. He spotted a plumbing configuration that was the problem. I needed it fixed as soon as possible, and he could do it that day. And he did so. He explained it all, was extremly courteous and knowledgeable. I was comfortable with the explanation and the work. The charges were very reasonable, also.

I've had all kinds of plumbing services in my 30 years of multiple home-ownership, but this is the first time I was so deeply impressed by the service and caliber of the service professionals. I also had Drew Kutcha here, as Carl called him about the wetness of the walls & flooring due to the flooding of the overflow from the washer. Drew was also extremely kind and knowledgeable.

we had all of our pipes replaced plus water & sewer cleanup under the home. they’ve been very fast , courteous and professional. we are very pleased with the service and will continue to use them in the future as needed.

on saturday morning at 10 AM, we opened up the shower curtain to find sewage backed up into our tub. cue the panic. we called roto rooter and reached someone immediately who was able to schedule us an appointment for the next morning at 9 AM. we appreciated that we were able to get someone to our home quickly, and it didn't even matter that is was sunday.

mark cunningham was on time and quickly began working to fix the problem. he explained each step to us and it let us watch him work and ask all sorts of questions. it ended up that we had a major clog in the pipes under our house, and he was able to get it completely cleared up for us. he even snaked all the way down to the street after he finished the main clog, just to make sure there weren't any other issues. after clearing the clog, he patched the pipe, and finished up.

Mr. Brenton was great at fixing our plumbing issue. Our toilet backed up and water was coming through the drain in our shower. He took care of it and we are so grateful. We tried the other “big companies” in town and they wanted too much money and Mr. Brenton got us taken care of for a cheaper price and much faster than their wait time. I highly recommend him!

All staff members were friendly and easy to work with. They got to my house right away and helped resolve the issue. A minor issue can be a little pricey, but worth it to avoid an even bigger issues down the road. I would recommend them for any plumbing issue, or any of their other services!

We had an emergency plumbing situation over the weekend that was actually a repeat issue from a prior time. Roger from Roto-Rooter came out almost immediately and provided a more extensive service and gave a more in-depth diagnosis than our previous experience with this same problem. While the news was less than positive, I cannot speak ill of the service as he truly went above and beyond my expectations on how to handle the situation.

I give two stars for prompt reply — a service tech was to our house within 30 minutes — and for the free estimate (vs. charging to just show up). However, the service tech acknowledge that we need to pipe rooted out and then hit me with the price. $366. When I expressed my shock at the price, he replied with, “Yeah, our boss hasn't ever done plumbing, so he just sits at home and makes up prices.” Not such a great rep of your company, and if that's truly the way pricing is established, also not good.

Roto-Rooter answered our 10pm frantic phone call for help and promised to send a tech first thing the next day. The next day they quickly identified that tree roots had grown into our outdoor water pipes, cleaned out the drain, called the city to mark the lines and then came back the next day to repair the damaged pipe. They also replaced our 2 outside water spigots that we asked about while they were repairing the damaged pipe. The technicians were kind, responsive and did a great job during a stressful time for us. Definitely recommend!

We had a plumbing overflow problem at my small business late Friday night. We were able to do the clean up and turn off the toilets until the morning. I set up an appointment with Roto-Rooter for the following morning, 8am-12pm time window. Clean up showed up at 9 to check for any water damage. Then MY NEW FAVORITE PERSON EVER showed up around 11 to unclog our drains! He was able to fix the problem and now everything flushes and runs without issue!!!

Very quick good service late on Tuesday night. We had sewage backing up into our house. The company responded right away, and Bo helped us figure out and repair the issue.

We had an emergency sewer line problem and I called several plumbing companies who couldn't come until the next day. Fortunately, I contacted Roto-Rooter! They sent Carl to our home within an hour. Carl had to call another technician who brought another piece of equipment to fix the problem in the sewer line. Both Carl and the other technician (sorry I didn't get his name) were courteous and responsive. They left us with a bottle of drain cleaner to prevent future problems. I will call Roto-Rooter again when we have a plumbing problem. They understand the importance of customer service and I am very appreciate of how quickly they resolved the problem!

Had a water heater issue that was under full warrenty. I was updated on arrival times and days the plumber was in our area was working to schedule service. We had several calls due to the issue ( water heater) was under Warrenty. The Plumbers had to go by the guidelines of the warrenty. The plumbers communicated the steps and issues. Sonny in the office was wonderful and both plumbers were awesome. We will recommend and definitely call again!!

On a cool Sunday morning as we prepared for church, we woke up to our downstairs toilet over flowing with water. The water was pouring onto the floor and the bathtub was about half full of residual back flow. It was a nasty mess and my attempts to plunge the problem were unsuccessful. I knew I needed a professional, but who could I call on Sunday morning? I thought of a few companies I know that specialize in this type of service and as I began calling down my list all I got was an answering service telling me “all agents are busy at this time”. I finally made it down my list to Roto-Rooter and when I called I got a real person on the phone who took my number and informed me that the plumber on call “Roger” would be calling me soon. Roger did call me and let me know he would be here in about 2 hours. He then called about an hour later and told me he was on the way. Roger was respectful, professional, and knowledgeable about the problem I was having. He immediately got to work and within an hour my problem was solved. Thank you to Roro-Rooter for your immediate service. If I have any more plumbing issues they will be the first on my list of plumbers to call.

Our plumber, Bob, was absolutely awesome!!! He was kind and very professional. The entire experience was a pleasant one. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very caring. I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter to everyone I know!!

Service was AWESOME & GREAT

I cannot say good enough things about Roto-Rooter. To make a long story short I had a water leak and it was discovered delete with somewhere underneath where my power lines ran through the poor building planning when my home was built. The job was going to cost over $4,000 to run a new line. plumber work tirelessly to find a different solution to the problem and got it done but less than half of the $4,000. I just can't say enough about the $2,500 in savings and the great job that they did. Thank you Roto-Rooter, and I don't give a glaring reviews lightly but they definitely are worth a five star or even 10 star if they had it. Outstanding job would hire them whenever I needed plumbing done.

Our tech came out promptly after we discovered that we may have a clogged sewer line. After some work, he discovered that we have tree roots that have invaded our line. He explained the issue and potential fix and we're now scheduled for our replacement.

Called Roto-Rooter late in the evening on the day after thanksgiving for some emergency clogged/drain flooding help and someone was here quickly and got it all cleared up very quickly! Thank you!

It is not fun at all to wake up on a Monday morning to water dripping off the ceiling in a downstairs bathroom. I pulled down some of the water damaged ceiling but, could not exactly identify the source of the leak. A quick search on the internet for local plumbers led me to call Roto-Rooter for the first time.

My call was dispatched quickly and efficiently and very soon I met Robert at my back door. He found the leak and had it fixed for a very reasonable price. I usually do not take the time to write a review unless I am either unhappy or extremely pleased with the service. I highly recommend Rotor-Rooter and when you call, ask for Robert - He does excellent work!

Not sure how to rate my experience..... Had 2 visits by a rotorooter tech by the name of Mirsad on 2 consecutive days Each time he said he fixed the problem. Of course after he left, the drains backed up again. Each time he showed up, he was extremely rude to my wife. After 2 servpro visits to clean up the sewage in my basement, we had hoped the problem was solved. However, tonight it backed up AGAIN. Mirsad was just here this morning. So on a Friday night, at 9:30 was fit to be tied. I called the answering service who got me in touch with the on call tech Roger Drury. He attempted to call Mirsad to handle the problem because warranty calls are not an emergency. However Mirsad could not be reached. Roger was kind enough to come out to my house on a Friday night at 11:30 pm to unclog the main drain. He got us back in business to use the showers and toilets. So overall, I give Roger and his customer service 6 stars. He could have chosen to stick to policy and leave us up a creek. As the father of 3 daughters, we have to have a functional shower and toilets! For this, I am in Roger's debt. Roto rooter..... I give 3 stars. Your policy of no warranty calls are emergencies is a terrible policy. Those should be priority number one. Your employees like Roger, really make your company. Mirsad, with his poor attitude, rudeness to women, and lack of skill, needs to be out of your company if you want it to be a success. Will be calling the manager on Monday.....

Kitchen drain clogged. Service man tried to unclog it by using his electric sink rod. Didn’t work. He then went under the house and decided to cut out a section of drain pipe and replace it. Drain now works. Only problem I have is the price. Over $800.00 to replace less than 10 feet of pipe seems to me to be very high.

Bob cleaned out my sewer line of all the gunk that had accumulated, and was very professional and friendly. I'd recommend Roto Rooter to anyone.

Had a plumbing emergency (whole house water filter burst flooding our crawlspace). Roto-Rooter sent a plumber out for a late night service call. He completed the job quickly. It was quite expensive ($300), but I expected it to be seeing as how it was 1am.

Bob came out to our house a few short hours after we called with an issue. We are first-time home owners with no family in town to show us the ropes. Turns out our leak was caused by a loose screw. Bob was so kind, tightened the screw and showed me where it was located, and didn't charge us. We will be calling again for any future repairs that we need!

Dave was very helpful and let us know what was going on with my kitchen drain. He was prompt and the work was done in a professional manner.

The plumbing hook up for my washing machine started leaking. I replaced the hoses but the problem persisted, so I called Roto-Rooter. The dispatcher told me that they would come out and provide a free estimate. They scheduled me for a next-day appointment at noon and said that a technician will call me 30 minutes before his arrival. When at noon I had received no phone call, I called Roto - their response was sorry sir, we took down your phone number wrong and couldn't get in touch with you so I just sent my technician to another job. They eventually sent another technician out later that afternoon.

The technician arrived, took a look at the problem and said well, it's clear you have a leak. It may be the faucet but I'm not sure. If I start unscrewing hoses and is looking into it, that counts as a diagnosis and it will cost you $160. This was completely inconsistent with what the dispatcher told me, which was that I would be provided a free estimate. When I tried to explain this to the technician, he simply said that whoever I spoke with was a dispatcher, not a technician and didn't know what he was talking about.

The technician then told me that it would cost $250 to replace the faucet, assuming that was the only problem. I told him thanks for your time, but no thanks.

I went to my local hardware store, consulted a salesman, and ended up replacing the faucet and fixing the leak for $10. I'm glad that many people have had positive experiences with Roto-Rooter, but I did not. They were unprofessional regarding my appointment, inconsistent with the description of their services, and most importantly, wanted to charge me an absurd amount of money for something an amateur fixed for $10 and 15 minutes of labor.

Unimpressed with Roto Rooter. Sewage backup in basement bathtub prompted me to call after hours plumber from Roto rooter for $400. He did not fix the problem because his snake was not long enough for a residential neighborhood. ROTO Rooter charged me anyway. They then tell me for $900 they could run a camera and tell me what was blocking while using pressure to clear obstruction. After $1300 the obstruction was cleared but they didn’t have a long enough camera to tell me if it was a root or disconnected pipe. They then send me an estimate for over $5000 dollars to dig up my land to fix something they have no idea what is blocking. Consider this when hiring them to do the job. Plenty of other companies to consider.

As a local builder for 23 years, my advice is to call Hiller. Had a blockage after hours, my plumber sub does not do clogs. He advised I call RotoRooter, I did, they had a tech call me, couldn’t understand him, wanted me to diagnose the issue (had I been able to do that as a builder, I would not have called them). Quoted 731.00 to come take a look but didnt really seem to want to come out. Since it was a critical issue of flooding flooding floors, poo backing up into sink, and the RotoRooter guy clearly not wanting to come out even with after hours charges, I called Hiller. With in 45 minutes they were here, at 10:45 pm, and had the issue fixed in 20 minutes for 292.00.

Guys were on time and extracted my sunglasses in about 30 seconds...and charged me $241.95. $200 for labor...I’m just dumbfounded. Go local, people!

I called Rotor-Rooter at 6pm on a Sunday night, while preparing dinner. My kitchen sink backed up during the process, which impacted my ability to prepare dinner. The young Man informed me he was busy, but reassured me, he would be at my house in two hours.

My main drainlin was clogged. All the water in the house was backing up through the downstairs toilet. I had to go to work and couldn't take a shower ot use the toilet. I called RotoRooter and they had Robert Sparks out in about an hour. He cleared the clog and then checked the drainline with a camara. He found another issue and cleaned that as well. As said he did a speedy and great job.

My Girlfriend had a water leak at her house in Springfield TN. I was in town from SC visiting. I did not have the tools to work on it so I said call Roto Rooter just to see about an estimate. They came out and said it could be up to 20 ft from the meter which I knew was inaccurate due to how quick the meter box was filling up. He then went to his van and came back with an estimate of $2,500! I laughed at this. It was a simple leak. I ended up fixing the leak which was at a fitting 2 feet out from the meter box in about an hour and for $35. Roto Rooter was going to tear the yard up which would've been unnecessary and charge the price it would take to replumb a whole house. It's sad that companies like this take advantage of people (single moms, people who know nothing about plumbing, etc) with outrageous estimates like this. Didn't work for them this time. I would get a 2nd opinion when they price you. Roto rooter may very well do quality work but they will take advantage and try to burn you on price. Sorry Roto Rooter. I wasn't born last night.

Recently moved into a new home and had a major leak from an upstairs bathroom that came flooding through the downstairs ceiling and walls.

I scheduled service online through their website late at night and received a call a few hours before the timeslot I had chosen online, confirming both receipt of the request and immediate availability of service technicians. Within a short time both a water damage specialist and plumber were on-site and quickly assessed the situation, estimated repairs & cost and scheduled the repairs for the following morning @ 9:30 am.....needless to say at 9:30am sharp, 2 plumbers were on site and quickly made the necessary repairs.

While they were starting the repairs of the leak, I sprung another job on them not expecting it to be taken care of same day, however they were able to find a solution, obtained the parts required and handled the job in a matter of hours.

Everything is now working as expected with no leaks and repairs were made efficiently and the areas look better than how they were before they started.

Highly recommend Roto-Rooter for all your plumbing needs and especially in emergency situations.

Bo was great! He was funny and polite, he identified why our drain was continually getting clogged, calcium build up, and told us a few products we could use to eliminate it. He was great to work with and talk to. My only downgrade in stars is the price. $284 seems a lot to unclog one drain. But I like the 6 month guaruntee.

We had an upstairs bathroom suddenly flood, leaking down to our first floor and crawl space. Despite it being a very busy time of year (freezing temperatures were causing pipe leaks everywhere), Roto Rooter Nashville was able to get on-site within three hours and had the dehumidifiers set up and damaged materials cleaned out by the end of the day. For water restoration this is crucial, as you want to dry everything out within 72 hours to prevent mold.

We worked with Garrett, who could not have been more helpful. He was extremely polite (wore coverings on his work boots to avoid getting our house dirty), communicative, and walked us through every step of the process (from where they were going to put holes in the drywall, to filing a claim and walking through the damage with the insurance adjuster). Garrett made it so easy to work with our adjuster, get the claim filed and make sure Roto Rooter only did work that would be covered by our insurance.

I don't wish this kind of accident on anyone, but if you need water restoration services, I highly recommend Roto Rooter Nashville--and especially Garrett!

Started off badly, as I didn't receive a call back on the first attempt. When I did get through, the technician showed up 2 hours after originally stated time. However, once he arrived, he got right to business and did a very thorough job in extremely hot conditions. So a little slow getting here, but great service overall.

Great customer service, they had someone at the house within a few hours and had the problem solved right away so damage was minimal. They also charged less than the estimate which was a nice surprise!

My office needed an urgent water heater repair and Christian and his team were quick to respond to our maintenance request. They immediately diagnosed the issue and provided the options for repair. They were also able to look at a malfunctioning toilet as well. They were easy to work with and were able to have everything repaired the following day. I would absolutely recommend their services.

Solid work clean up after themselves

We had Brandon come to our house, he had an awful attitude and incredibly poor customer service. He came over and told us we needed to fix our main sewage line that was underground and that needed to be replaced and an expensive fix. He then left without fixing what ended up being a simple clog/leak by the toilet. I suggest going to Mr. Rooters instead! They are 1000% better than what we experienced with Roto Rooters.

( I have spoken with the owner and he seems like a very nice man and he took the time to discuss the unpleasantry with me and helped correct the situation.)

If you call the local area phone number, you get routed to the Roto-Rooter call center somewhere on the globe (but not in Nashville). If you are lucky, you will speak to a pleasant woman with a British sort of accent. She takes your information and passes it to a local Roto-Rooter person. Within a half hour or so, Ruben pulled into my driveway. We did a walk-around so that he could see the drain piping from my bathroom toilet to the main house drain line. My recently installed low-flow toilet waste was not flushing properly. Instead, waste was backing up the line and going into the bottom of the adjacent shower stall. Toilet removed and Ruben ran a waterproof cable with camera/light down the drain line, where the camera showed the line plugged by toilet paper and associated waste material (technical term is poop). A bit of pushing with the cable light, and the line cleared. Then Ruben showed me that my 45-year-old, 4-inch cast iron drain line had large mineral deposits that made the inside surface quite rough. Liquid flowed fine, but solids like paper tend to catch on the surface and accumulate. He recommended replacement.
The cost for the 20-minute visit was just under $500. In fact, Roto-Rooter evaluates for free, and then gives you a quote that is good for however long the work takes, whether 5 minutes or 8 hours. So, I ended up paying $480 for a very quick visit by Roto-Rooter. Next time, I will probably call a local plumber. I should note that Ruben has been doing this stuff for almost 20 years, so he made it look easy. Someone else might have taken a couple of hours, and probably wouldn't have the camera.
I also plan to get that ancient drain line replaced. Roto-Rooter will replace it for $3800 (they gave me the quote), but it is not an emergency, so I will find a local plumber. It's all of maybe eight feet of pipe, with easy access.
I would possibly use Roto-Rooter again in an emergency situation, but I don't have $500 to throw around very often.

They could not get to me for a few days and gave me a window of 2-4 PM on a Friday. I took off work early that day expecting them to be on time. I was staying in a rental and was trying to get it fixed before driving back home to see my kids that I had not seen all week due to working out of town. I am working here for several weeks so my time on the weekends is very precious. I had to call them in the middle of the time window to get a status update (I was getting worried they had forgotten about me) and they informed me that they were running behind and they would be there at 5 PM. They never called me with a status update. They did not show up until 6:15 PM and then charged me hundreds of dollars to do about 15 minutes of work. I will never call them or recommend them again. Not only did I have to take off work early for no reason, but I also missed precious time with my kids and got charged what I feel like was way too much for the amount of time/effort it took to fix the problem and for being so late. They also left a trail of waste liquid behind on my floors and carpet, which could have been avoided with the use of a trash bag or tarp or something.

Had an issue with a pipe under my sink that had broken off and flooded the upstairs bath and leaked down through the ceiling. Carl was at my home within the hour to fix the pipe and they also send out their water mitigation team to immediately begin treating the water damage and putting a game plan in place to get everything restored. So far I am pleased with the level of service and care

Living in a home we all need our kitchen sinks to work properly right?...Well my kitchen sinks were both stopped up with water and wouldn't drain.And this had been happening on and off for a few months. I couldn't understand why, seeing that we didn't allow food to go down the sink or thick grease. Anyway, I tried using the store liquid plumber stuff and that would only help for so long. Well this last time the liquid plumber stuff didn't work and we couldn't take it anymore. I called Roto-Rooter and they had someone out within about an hour and and half or so. I told him the problem and plumber knew almost immediately what the issue was, and he went to work. I asked a few questions, and he didn't seem to mind answering them. I will say that he had to work a little on this issue, but he was done in a little over an hour. He did a good job and yes it was pricey, but we're happy to be able to use our kitchen sink like normal again. This my second time using Roto-Rooter and I'm pleased with the work thus far.

Be very careful before using these guys. Make sure you INSPECT what you EXPECT at the conclusion of their work. I was curious about the $331.95 bill I received for a little more than an hours worth of work. That honestly didn’t upset me too much although he did tell me originally that it would probably take him close to 3 hours. It was when I inspected the plumbers work (who for the record I had a difficult time understanding verbally) and realized not only had he used all of my paper towels (again not a big deal) but left the underneath part of the sink a complete disaster after he used a snake line to unclog the line. By looking at it he didn’t even do a halfa$$ job of cleaning his mess. It makes sense now why he was in such a hurry to leave my house. In their defense and to be completely honest, Danny with mgmt did have the plumber return to clean the area but when he just walked in my house without even knocking I wasn’t having it anymore. I hope this helps someone to not make the same mistake I did. The moral of the story, check everything before allowing them to leave in a rush and hold them accountable for the service they are providing.

We had a great experience with Roto-rooter. I called this morning and within 1 hour, they were here. They found the problem and showed it to us with their camera, which was very interesting. They told me how much it would be to repair it, explained the warranty, at which point we agreed.
They were thorough, quick and our drain issue is fixed. I will definitely call them again.

Beware do not use this company at all for plumbing or repairs as they will rip you off! I called because there was a leak overflow in my toilet.. I received a visit from the so called supervisor that came out and told me that I had 8,000 dollars worth of water damage and that I needed to file a claim with my insurance. Once the plumber arrived this was not the case and all I needed was a toilet replaced and and service line replacement.. I was charged $500 and I purchased the toilet myself.. These people do not have integrity and take advantage do not use them as they will try to scam you out of money unnecessarily. Luckily I have been blessed to meet people with great character and integrity that will take care of all of my plumbing needs!!

The plumbers did a very thorough job determining why our sewer backed up and fixing the problem.

Well I was charged $314.95 and drained was stopped up next day. Funny thing was my neighbor( who recomended roto rooter) had a blockage a year or so ago on a Saturday ,he got the same service ( drain snaked) and was only charged $150,his repaired the problem.I should have only been charged $49 for diagnosis and not $314.95 for a problem that was not fixed.

Roto Rooter is the best plumbing company ever. They are the only company that was willing to provide service in less than 24 hours for an emergency that occurred after flooding. They are professional, prompt and courteous. Bo, the repair man, took the time to explain everything to me in a lot of detail. He was very knowledgable. When I asked him how he was doing he said, I am ready to work. I really appreciated his hard work and willingness to take care of the issue in less than 24 hours. This is the best plumbing company, and if I run into a bind in the future, we will definitely call them again!

Responded quickly and checked out my problem. Quoted the price to unclog the main drain and let me pull the toilet to save a couple of hundred bucks. Used the camera before he started and as it turned out the problem was in the septic tank not the drain. Charged me just for the service call and the camera inspection.

I called out the plumber on Sunday because a sewage line in my yard had burst and my bathrooms were flooded. He came out within an hour and found the pipe in the yard right away. Repairs were made in good time and everything is back in working order! I was expected a huge bill, but it was very reasonable. Thanks, Roto-Rooter!

Roto Rooter came out twice, charged me for parts I didn’t need, and refused to give me my money back when they didn’t fix my toilet. Extremely displeased.

I had a house full of relatives staying here for the Thanksgiving holiday. On Thanksgiving day the drainage for the showers and toilets all backed up.
I called Roto-Rooter and was immediately contacted by Danny on Thanksgiving day. He had someone come out first thing the next morning.
The service performed was outstanding. It turned out that tree roots had penetrated the pipes leading to the sewer lines. The plumber that he sent, Mirsa, was knowledgable and extremely nice. He took care of the problem quickly.
I would highly recommend calling Danny at Roto-Rooter for any plumbing problems. I previously used a different company but from now on I will depend on Danny's company for any future problems.

The plumber dispatched fixed the immediate issue (backed up sewer line), however provided absolutely no indication on where the larger issue (belly in the line) was or how it could be fixed. Instead, it took two weeks of phone calls to hear that a proper diagnosis would have cost extra (it was already $650 for at most, 2 1/2 hours of work). Will never use again, as there are simply too many quality plumbers in the area. We only hired in the first place because it was an absolute emergency.

Robert came out to help us unclog our sewer lines. At first, we thought it was going to be a major problem but he suggested we wait and see if the cause of the problem was actually our neighbor. We waited and within minutes the problem was resolved and was an easy fix. I am glad he wasn't here just for the money but actually cared about fixing my problem as easily as possible. Robert was great and all the other guys with Roto-Rooter have been awesome! I will use them again in the future if I need a drain unclogged.

Our water heater exploded in our attic. There was a plumber out within an hour (around 9pm) and the cleanup process began within two. They were very kind and very professional. They gave us advice on how to talk to insurance, and checked in daily.

Bo is very professional and did a great job to clean my drains. The cost is reasonable. The Milan's Plumbing company sent a stupid stuff came over and took a quick look and charged me $75 for deductible.He went away within 20 mins.

We had water emergency the other night and called RR, they said it would take about 3 hrs for someone to be able to come over but it wasn't even an hour when Roger Drury showed up. He was very professional, fixed problem in timely matter and would definitely call him back next time.

I cannot say enough nice things about the whole team! Had a huge clog in the main line that caused flooding downstairs. Alex from plumbing and Alex from Water Restoration showed up late at night with great attitudes and confidence—which is exactly what I needed in such a hectic situation.

I was able to go to bed that night, with machines drying out everything and filtering out all the nasty particles in the air. I was able to use all of the other plumbing in the house as well. That was all late Tuesday night.

Thursday, they came back for demolition and knocked it out quickly and effectively and set me up to be able to get a contractor in ASAP.

On top of that, Gabe came over Friday morning and was able to fix a busted clean out (that had exploded from the pressure) for far less than the original estimate.

I had a pipe burst and was pleasantly surprised when they had someone out to me the next morning! Had it been a non holiday then I would’ve had them there asap! Rooter did everything they could to be out as soon as possible and then handle everything with care and quickly! Will be using again for my plumbing issues!

So we had an issue with water backing up from a house we just purchased. The technician that came out, Roger older fella but was very knowledgable, solved the issue right away. He discovered the builders who built the house left an old test plug in to test the lines and never removed it. We discovered that after snaking the pipes. Long story short. Quick, same day service and now we can use plumbing again. Thank you guys!

Roger the plumber was very good. This is not the first we called the service of Roto-Rooter. Their plumbers have been very good. Roger was excellent and and offered information to avoid calling their service more often.
This is another 5 star feed for Garrett and his team whose job was just finished yesterday March 20, 2017. Garrett was very supportive in walking me through the insurance process. They cleaned up the big mess and make sure the affected area was dry. It took them 4 weeks to complete the job. Slow but sure.

Came in on short notice and fixed the problem in less than an hour. Was courteous and cleaned up when he was done. Had a plumber from another company that diagnosed the issue. Wanted to cut out pipes, refit etc. and wanted over $700 to do it. Bo was awesome. Will definitely be using Roto-Rooter again.

Sink clogged up at night on Labor Day Eve. Called RR at 8:00am and by 10:30am all issues resolved.

I called Roto Rooter on Friday morning around 10 am and they were there by noon and stayed until about 3 pm to fix the issues. They had to extract sewage, snake the drain, put a camera down the water line to see what the issue was and cleaned everything up. They were extremely helpful and so pleasant to work with. I will definitely call them for any plumbing or water restoration needs in the future and I would highly recommend them.

I would like to give them a zero. Outrageous bill for a job that took a few minutes and the tech was late. I will never use this place again.

I called to have my main sewer line inspected for what I thought was a root obstruction, but thanks to their camera line inspection, we found that I had an offset pipe. They were able to fix it that day! And the service man was very friendly, respectful, and helpful throughout the whole experience. I would definitely recommend them!

Brenton cleaned my drains and did an amazing job! He was on time, professional, and got the job done in a timely manner. My drains were so clogged but have been working great since they were cleaned. I would highly recommend using Brenton!

I got to shower

Roto rooter was called out to my house on a sunday for sewage standing in the shower in my detached garage. There was a minimal amount of sewage on the floor at the time of the call. The technician finally shows up and immediately tells me I have a main line clog. I said I don't care what it cost, let's get it fixed. After searching for a clean out to no avail he immediately claims I can't do this job without pulling the toilet. Again, I said no problem, whatever it takes. I was then told my price would no longer be $279.95 and now would be $350.00. I said no problem, whatever it takes to fix it. So he pulls the toilet and begins to run his snake in. He immediately stops and claims, for the second time now, he can't do it. This time because he doesn't have the tools to pull the blade off of his snake and the blade is preventing him from being able to snake the drain. So I provide the tools to remove the blade and all is well. He runs about 60ft of his snake in and claims I got the blockage, go inside and turn the water on so we can make sure. I obliged and went inside to turn the water on. When I come back outside the technician is smoking a cigarette at his truck giving another paying customer,on the phone, reasons why he can't come out to fix their problem, meanwhile my garage is filling up with sewage and he had no idea because of sheer negligence. He panics and runs back inside to start snaking further. Meanwhile he turns to me, a paying customer, and says grab a broom and start sweeping this up or grab that fancy shop vac you have(which was brand new at this point). He then begins to run the snake in further until he finally hits the clog at about 90ft and the water in the pipe rushes down. Thank god, we finally got it! So I go inside to wash my hands and eat dinner. I come back outside to the technician holding a clipboard with my invoice on it and says alright we are all done! At this point I'm assuming he cleaned up his mess and put the toilet back. I didn't want to be anywhere near the sewage mess as I have a very weak stomach. But to my suprise he leaves this giant mess that he just created, sewage seeping through my walls and cabinets, turds floating across the middle of my garage, toilet next to the hole it's supposed to go over, that now has a glass bottle from my garage stuffed in it. MY PERSONAL CLEANING SUPPLIES COVERED IN SEWAGE AND PUT BACK WHERE THEY WERE, and not a word said about cleaning. There was never a price mentioned for re installing the toilet or cleaning up HIS mess. Instead he just left and said have a nice night! So I call the following morning, very upset and the representative is more worried about my language rather than understanding he has a paying customer on the phone that is unhappy with the lack of quality or care his employee has. So after telling me you got what you paid for and failing to understand that I have no idea what in the heck I am doing when it comes to this(hints as to why I called a plumber in the first place) and tells me that his technician said that I was going to just cap that hole off(why someone would cap off the only toilet in the building is beyond me) and he has still yet to understand that there was never an additional price mentioned for clean up or putting the toilet back. So after he defends his tech as much as he can I finally say to him, how trustworthy is this tech? This is also the same tech who flooded my garage while on the phone with another potential customer telling her that roto rooter doesn't do metro public housing in Nashville and then hangs up and says to me I ain't going to unclog no drain in the middle of the projects at 11pm and my boss is cool enough that I can get away with that, he will back me 100 percent. The rep on the phone immediately replies with I'll have someone there today to put your toilet back and clean up. Well suprise suprise, no call no show. So here I am 2 days later, had no choice but to clean the sewage up myself because roto rooter is of no help. But they got my money no problem! Never use them. Ever.

I called Roto Rooter around 7:30 am and explained my situation and they immediately sent someone to help remedy the situation. Due to the water damage in my house, they offered to send water restoration services also. Carl arrived shortly after I called and was very professional and courteous. I briefly explained the situation and he got right to work. He determined the cause of my problem and explained this to my insurance company in depth. He went above and beyond my expectations as I asked several questions and he explained everything in terms that I could understand. I would use Roto Rooter easily if I have any future problems. Carl was outstanding!!

We had a plumbing problem that could not be fixed by our maintenance team. We called around and would have to be on-call for after 4pm or wait two days. Quickly came out and fixed my toilet. My kids had put a large charging cube and it was completely stuck. Job took about an hour to fix, repairman was courteous and didn't seem to mind the audience of my 3 very curious little boys supervising the job.

I called Roto-Rooter at 6pm because an outside faucet had burst and we were completely without water in our home. The technician told me that he was on another call that would take a while but promised he would get to me as soon as he could, though it might be late. I told him that was fine, just to call when he was on his way. at 9pm he called again to say that he received another emergency call and asked if he could please reschedule my service for 8am the following morning. I felt bad for him and agreed. The next morning at 7:55am, he called to say that he had been out all night and was too tired to make the call but had asked that another technician be sent out. I called the Roto-Rooter number to confirm that story, and they told me that all technicians were already on their first calls and wouldn't be able to get to me until 11am-1pm at the earliest. All in all, I was lied to and passed along to multiple people, none of whom were in any way helpful or even polite. Basically, if the technician assigned to you decides he doesn't feel like making the call, he can just cancel and you're left with no alternative. Would never recommend this company and would give 0 stars if possible.

A valve in the hot water faucet for my two-handled bathtub failed, leaving the hot water tap running at full strength with no way to turn it off. I called Roto-Rooter looking for a quick fix, and they were able to get someone here very quickly who was also very nice. Unfortunately, those are the only two positives that came out of our experience with Roto-Rooter. For the low price of $400, the faucet was reduced to a small, steady stream of heated water. After half a dozen phone calls and one trip back to my house with an additional charge for another new part, the faucet was still not turning off. They couldn't recommend anyone who could complete the fix, and didn't bother offering a refund for services not completed. On the upside, I was able to find someone who completed the faucet repair for about a quarter of what I've already spent at Roto-Rooter for a far more extensive fix. If you want to overpay for poor service that doesn't end in a completed repair, by all means, work with these guys. I'm sure they're great for clogged pipes, but not all leak repair services are handled so well.
