Donelson Air is awesome. Johnny Rogers was great! AC quit working. They showed up quickly - way after hours. Frozen up, but why? Had to let the unit thaw, but came back early the next morning. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Larger repair required but handled as promptly as possible. Johnny and the staff were polite, professional and very courteous. Went above and beyond to make me a very satisfied customer.

Update - June 10, 2022 - Christopher was very professional and did a superb job cleaning and maintaining my 2 AC units, getting them ready for our hot summer. Original post 4/20/22 - Dave was very helpful and knowledgeable. He had my unit fixed quickly and I'm back to getting cold air again. So thankful!!

News Channel 5 story about them selling an 89 yr old a central unit and service plan for $32,000+ was interesting. Price lowered after the story aired, to $13,000 per the report. A neighbor heard about this and offered to install a system for $6,000, resulting in Donelson removing theirs. 89 yr old was reported to be getting a refund. Merry Christmas

My AC went out over the weekend and they were quick to respond. My technician, Kenneth Brown, was very professional and knew exactly my issue! Fixed my AC in 15 minutes!!

2022 fall—Tim Bailey did routine service before cold weather and identified a potential problem in older furnace/AC unit while servicing the separate heat pump installed by Donelson Heat and Air. He also alerted me to water under my water heater. He was prompt, polite and very competent. I signed up for maintenance on second older HVAC unit because of Tim’s good work.[2020 Review] In 2020 Josh Koby helped identify an asbestos problem hidden by insulation over old ductwork. The repair/replacement team coordinated closely with asbestos abatement team so hvac ductwork was ripped out and replaced quickly. They sent a larger team the second day to ensure replacement within two days

Water Heater ReplacementRusty showed up exactly at my requested time. He explained everything to us and gave us a quote. He allowed us space to make a decision. Then he replaced out broken water heater the same day. We are in a 1949 house and our water heater is in the attic so this was not an easy job. Rusty was confident and reassuring during the whole process. This was an extra huge relief with bad weather headed our way! Plus, my dogs loved him!!!! Jonathan had to come out to help remove and replace due to the old narrow attic! He was kind and helpful! Highly recommend this team!

Had the heat cut out right as things are starting to get cold. Chuck came out - drove to Murfreesboro to get a replacement and was back within an hour or so. He was super down to earth and easy to talk to. Great guy and super helpful!

I called Donelson because our AC wasn’t working. Landon, the technician, quickly found the issue and promptly fixed it. Landon gave thorough and easy to understand explanations of the problems and their remedies. Landon and Austin were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I’d be happy to have them back if we ever have any other issues.

My story started on 08/11/2021. I call Donelson Air to fix my a/c unit, which the blower motor havebroken and it normally cost 500 to 1000. The salesman Brandon Mcclain told me to get a new A/Ctelling me that it was going to save me money and it was beneficial to get a new one, after heexplains which Unit was better for him to sell me not for my house, he asked me about my last four of #SSN to check mycredit and see how much i was going to be approved, after a good 20min. , he comes back and tellsme that everything was good, that they had a new plan service for the a/c maintenance. He nevershowed me the information,how much i got approved or the contract. Next day i got a brandA/C unit installed on my house with out my approval. after i notify the situation, he told that i haveagree to the terms and contract. aften asking him on 8/13/2021 about all my paper he said to call theoffice, after contacting the office and explaining them that i did not want the A/C because of thepoor communicating and lying about me signing a contract, they send me my contract on an email in09/21/2021 and the contract is not sign and all they keep telling me is that sign with my last 4 of#SSN and that if i did not wanted the A/C that needed to pay them 13k out of the 23k they are chargingme for a single A/C . I got the proofs and papers, also they never brought the new thermostat after contacting the for a good 2 weeks after installation, they never fix theduck work and a/c blows less air then my old one and they won't answer my calls after i walk intothere office to explain my situation in person this is the office at 2930 Sidco dr. Nashville, TN 37204. Then 3 month later I see that they do the same to an elderly man for 32k shame on you.

My hot water heater went out recently and Donelson Air was able to get everything fixed. Communication was great the whole time even when I was out of town. They worked late past any expected business hours to get the job done. I understand a broken water heater just happens but it was good to have Donelson Air help me out and the water heater back up and running. Shout out to TJ Upchurch for the awesome work and great communication. I appreciate it so much!

We have been using Donelson for many years. Unfortunately, their customer support has become terrible. I encountered a billing problem with my annual maintenance plan. I've called daily to try and get it resolved. Each time I have been told the office manager will call me back. Never happens. When my system needed a part replaced earlier this year I had to prove to them the unit was under their warranty plan. They installed the system, I guess they don't keep accurate records? I can no longer recommend them.

We replaced our ancient hot water heater with a new tankless model. After talking over details on Tuesday, on Wednesday people were here to get things installed and haul the old one away. One of the technicians even remembered our place, as they were involved in replacing our HVAC three years previous. They were all super professional, and did a great job.

I heard a noise coming from my unit around 10PM one night. I send them an appointment request and within 10 minutes I got an email confirming they could come out the next morning, 8AM!!Brad and Chris called and gave me a 15 minute heads up that they were on their way and showed up on time! Super helpful for someone who has to leave for work before 9AM.They were really nice, quick, efficient and didn't leave a mess. I will for sure be using them again for anything that comes up with my HVAC.

WOW! I am so impressed with my 2 service guys. Will Reyes and Chasen Waugh came to my house for my regular service check. They were so helpful and nice. They explained what they found and offered advice and options for the future. I was in the process of unloading groceries from my car. (I'm old and have back problems so I have to rest after I carry in a few bags.) They offered to carry them in for me!!! I have never experienced a service person being so sweet!! I had a 20 lb bag of cat food and 13 12 packs of diet cokes, heavy stuff!They represented your company above my expections! Thank you so much Will and Chase! you two were lifesavers for me today,

Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion. I called Donelson because it was a Saturday and I knew they were open. I was quoted $400 to replace an ignitor (which is 1 wire with a connector and a screw!) and $600 to replace an ignitor control board for a furnace that was not heating. I asked the technician if they could check to see which it was and was told no. Then he tried to up sale me to a new unit. I ended up replacing both parts myself for $200. After replacing the parts the furnace still would not light. So I called my usually HVAC go to company and they came out and did a full check of the system and told me it was the gas valve. They replaced the part and it started working just fine. I will never call Donelson Air again and hope you get a second opinion before giving your money to this company.

Anthony was extremely helpful and adept at adding a new flush valve to my toilet kit. I'm thrilled to be able to use the downstairs bathroom again. Thanks, Donelson, for sending Anthony out (twice) and resolving the issues. He's not only talented, but a very nice technician. Thanks again!!

We had Chris over to do our twice a year annual check up. He was so kind to us and our dog. Donelson Air is always great and easy to work with.

My heater quit working so I called Donelson Air. Their tech Johnny came out within hours and diagnosed the issue. With it being late at night, he didn’t have the specific part (gas valve) but promised to get the needed part and come out again as soon as he could. I expected him to call me a few days later, but he called me first thing the next morning and scheduled me that day. He and his co-worker Carl did a great job of explaining what all they were doing. The heater is working and am extremely happy with the service. They delivered well above my expectations for timeliness, customer service, and cost.

Ty was efficient and knowledgeable. Most of all, he was more than fair as the company replaced a part which, apparently led to needing another part. I bought a home in which the warranty was only for a year but the unit is only five years old. He made sure I was discounted. All this to say, I will continue to do business with them based on my experience.

I have had fantastic customer experience here. Chris was very respectful, communicative, kind, and answered all of my questions very well. He definitely went above and beyond with helping me to diagnose my issue and working very hard to fix what was needed! Thank you!

Ty and David knocked out some duct work to accommodate for more space in my renovated basement. They also were part of the team that installed my new HVAC unit back in May. Garrett came to fix my air conditioner. Turned out to be a more involved job than anticipated but Garrett was quick to get the problem resolved and everything back in working order.As a company they were quick to respond. I was initially placed on the waitlist and told it could be next day, however they were there in a matter of hours.Very professional and easy to work with.

Hot Water Heater is leased through Advantage program. There was a bit of an issue around the repair as it was caused by not having a pressure release valve (PRV) installed when they initially installed the unit. Through the program they handle all repairs, but indicated I would have to pay for the faulty pressure release valve and extra pressure tank since it was my water pressure that broke it :-) I did not agree. The technician replaced the equipment and offered a discounted price to install the PRV as they would not cover if it blows out again without a PRV. I felt he was honest & did the best job he could to satisfy. I will pay them $495 to install the PRV.

Well of course our AC went out when the 90 degree weather finally got here in Tennessee. I was not totally surprised because the unit was 12 years old and had many issues already in the past. Being I was not happy with my last two heating/air companies, I was scrambling to find a new company to either fix or replace my HVAC. After a few calls, I decided to circle back to a company that I used many years ago - Donelson Air. From the get-go, I was impressed. 12 hours after my desperate evening phone call, Landon and Brandon (yep, real names) showed up at our house to diagnose and fix my situation. After an hour or so, Landon found out what he thought was the problem - it it would not be a cheap, quick fix - and more importantly, with this old unit - he could possibly be back next week for more repairs. Nope, not gonna invest anymore money in this worn out old unit. We then discussed new system options. I did not feel the big 'upsale' vibe, just some honest chat about new units, pricing, and installation. After some back and forth we came up with a plan that my wife and I liked. Lucky for me, they were able to do the install the very next day. Cody, Chris, and David showed and did a fine job. Another tech named Will even came by a few days later to follow up and check on a few things. With this team of pros, I felt like I was getting great customer service. Donelson Air has been in Nashville a LONG time - and I can say first hand, they are still doing great work. May this new 4 ton gas/electric package cool and heat our home for another 12 years (or more)! THX Donelson Air.

Scott arrived on time and very quickly repaired the issue at hand. Since we also have the Advantage plan he also suggested rerouting the condensation drain line from the pump to directly outside. A technician is coming Monday to perform the work. Not many technicians would have gone above and beyond to suggest this. Scott was very professional and helpful. He is yet another reason we continue to use Donelson for 15 years. We are definitely satisfied costumers!

Frustrating time getting someone out to the house, 8am time slot and someone showed up after 4pm. Scheduler clearly didn't have our house on the schedule in the am as was booked. The technician that finally came out was quick to diagnose the problem and take care of everything, they have a very reasonable maintenance plan to get your yearly/twice yearly AC cleaning in. I hope in the future the schedulers don't screw up as bad as they did this time, again appreciate the technician Coslow for getting me in despite their messing up and fixing things quickly - he gets the 5 stars that brings this review up.

This review is for the technician Christopher only. After the company, other technicians and others involved completely dropped the ball. Christopher was the only saving grace and professional in this whole ordeal. Paid extra for a service that was not honored. Brand new HVAC not even 6 months old broke. Technicians not showing up and zero communication from the company unless I called them. So the company located in the Murfreesboro area gets a complete ZERO. The technician, Christopher, get 10 stars. He is the only one I ever want to deal with again and you need to give this guy a raise for his hard, professional work.

The team at donelson air service is outstanding. From my first call to Ali who was so understanding and accommodating, to the house call from Eric and Tyler who were so calm and professional, the entire team was informative and patient. Eric and Tyler fixed our unit and explained all of the issues and the various payment options. They are technical experts and easy to talk to. I highly recommend them and will certainly call them again.

My heat stopped working in the middle of the night. I called Donelson and they were here within two hours. The technician Christopher, talk to me through every step of the process evaluating cause of the issue. Took pictures of the inside of my HVAC unit and explain to me what was going on inside really held my hand through the process. She was able to schedule an appt for me to meet with a residential consultant the very next day! ERIC FARMER was professional from the start! He called first, to confirm I was home, and stated he would arrive in 30 minutes...and...HE DID! When he arrived, he presented well, was in a well-kept company-identified vehicle, was well-groomed in a company-identified uniform and hat, AND was extremely knowledgeable and courteous!!! I ask A LOT of necessary questions and he had an answer for all of them. I felt comfortable throughout the consultation and never felt rushed nor was I over-sold on any product or service. Special thanks to your sales rep named Brandon and your service tech named Austin. They teamed up to be life-savers for us this afternoon.Long story short, we heard some odd noises and noticed the smell of burning hair when the furnace was running a few days ago. Today, it was replaced by the putrid smell of rot coming from the ductwork, so I put in a call to Donalson Air on a Friday afternoon at 1pm.Brandon first tried to help, but he realized I needed a field tech and put out a call to Austin who arrived within an hour. Austin took my gas furnace apart and found the culprit: a dead critter laying on the heat exchanger.It was promptly removed, and the house is already starting to smell better. Thank God we didn't have to wait until Monday to get a service call!Now I've scheduled an appointment with Brandon to get my ducts cleaned. Thanks again guys!

Brad Watson (sales consultant) walked me through the entire process and helped me make the best decision for my home. I don't often write reviews, however I was very impressed with Donelson Air and felt compelled to write this review. I was able to schedule an appt. online this weekend, they e-mailed a confirmation almost immediately and today Eric and Drew came by, right on time, to fix and service my Furnace. Both were very professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. My only regret is that I didn't use them a few years ago to replace my HVAC units. But, from now on I'm calling Donelson!

I called Donelson heating and air at 6:30 pm and was greeted with a cheerful voice, Catherine willing to help! She asked a few questions to aid a technician before reporting to my home, set up an account and offered me a monthly service in case I needed future work. She was the perfect person to get me set up and make sure I had information about the appointment to prevent a later surprise about service call charge. Johnny Rodgers was my technician. He called to share a timeframe of when he would arrive at my home. He was early! He was kind, courteous and knowledgeable about the repair I required. Johnny explained the part I needed and made sure it was operational before cleaning up. He completed the repair in less than an hour. His approach to cost was exceptional. This was my first experience with Donelson heating and air but with customer service like this, I’ll use them in the future and share the positive results of their work. Thank you!

Thank you so much to Brandy Holtmann and Tim Bailey for getting getting our heat fixed in this really cold weather. I tried several times to get help through the after hours national number but those people on that after hours were horrible. I finally got to Brandy and she took care of scheduling both my heat issues (my mom's too) right the first time and was really friendly and helpful and understanding with my frustration at the after hours line. She made sure that my appointments were scheduled quickly and again she was really nice. Tim was the repairman he did a wonderful job of getting both places heat up and running and was really kind and patient with what needed to be done even with the frigid temps outside. I really appreciate Brandy and Tim for all their help. Thanks again.

December 23, 2022: We’ve been customers for years. Donelson has taken care of 3 of my houses now. When we had plumbing needs this year, I was surprised to see they could help us with those (I always only used them for HVAC). We had to work through a few sticky situations but Donelson has really gone above and beyond in helping us protect our biggest investment, our home. Our latest technician Jonathan did a stellar job for us on two separate bathrooms.

The service technical, Anthony Sherrill, was very professional and explained the steps he took to investigate the plumbing leak. When he was not able to pinpoint the source of leak, he offered his professional opinion about the most likely causes and what steps I could take and companies I could contact who have the equipment needed to investigate further.

Donelson Air is legit. Brandon and Chris were amazing. They took the time to explain everything to me and told me things that I didn’t know about my system and I’ve been in this home for 6 years! My AC died on a Sunday evening and I called a million places with no response. On Monday morning Donelson called me back and told me they could come out and diagnose the problem within half an hour (!). They quickly diagnosed the problem and scheduled an appointment for the very next morning to completely replace my AC. This was complex work involving a crane for the condenser on the roof and in-unit removal and install. So it was a minor miracle they could schedule it so quickly. Then they informed me the whole thing would take 3-4 hours to be complete, which I had a hard time believing. But they showed up on time and with minimal effort on my part they replaced the whole system in just three hours. The whole thing went off without a hitch. I was shocked.I cannot speak to whether the pricing was competitive or not. They were the first company to reach back out to me and I was desperate to cool my home. So I didn't have any other quotes. But the process was handled so well that I do not regret jumping on their proposal so quickly.GREAT WORK.

Honest business, excellent and skilled plumber on time and all people (from the answer service man, to the office clerk and the plumber) were not only polite but friendly. The plumber even made a video of the pipe that was very clogged, and which he doggedly finally cleared. We had someone to install the Detox- APCO - X in the attic. The service guy destroyed the equipment; started to make us sick because it was not done correctly. In addition, turned over to the Service Finance Company because of additional charges . We were unaware. After we went through all of trouble, Donelson sent a very professional manager to come to our home- William Earles. He expressed how upset he was about the service rendered because it was installed wrong . Therefore, he will turn in two weeks to fix problem correctly ( August 24th because next week is our 36th Wedding Anniversary. We love to also like to acknowledge two other people who gave excellent customer service by listening to our concerns and sending emails to the company how we felt integrity of the company had been compromised just for making money. We are advantaged customers and have been loyal customer for over 20 years. Moreover, we are grateful to have spoken to Khy and Marissa. They reassured us that our needs would be met . How much they valued us as customer.

They scam people with their monthly service plan. They will keep charging you after you cancel(going on close to a year and multiple calls). I'm close to reporting and filing complaints to everywhere possible if they don't refund what is owed. I will change this review if they do the right thing

#donelsonair diagnosis service call is illegal scam. Do not call this company. They REFUSED to write us any form of repair diagnosis for our insurance claim. The company charged us $100 for coming out to our home and simply writing us a receipt for $100. That's it. Absolute and total scam. Would not help us in any way, nor would they write us a repair or diagnosis estimate - but still charged us for it. After several phone calls all they would email us was another receipt. Don't waste money like we unfortunately did. Call someone else.

Just completed my semi-annual maintenance appointment and Tim was great! Very punctual, professional and helpful in the way he explained everything!

Called this place to get my HVAC inspected due to the house 2021 unit no longer cooling. Operator said it would cost $82 for an inspection. Rep came in the next day to advise the reverse valve needed replacement and costing $2,700. Rep said to check if any parts were under warranty and charged me $96 because $82 was for folks signed up for the membership. Did not like the lack of transparency there. Then, when I called back to advise the parts were under warranty, an operator told me my rep would contact me and he never did. I found a different gentleman that was able to change the part, put new fluid, and dehumidify the unit for $900. I suppose that when you call a company this big, the job will take care of, but be ready to pay a premium and small writing.

From the moment the phone was answered to the time the problem was fixed took less than 8 hours. The receptionist who took the call confirmed with the technicians that they would definitely be able to make it out today before scheduling which doesn’t always happen. Tyler the technician was friendly, professional and courteous. I was given a few options for maintenance but didn’t feel at all pressured to purchase anything more than the repair. The unit is very old otherwise I would’ve considered it. I’m so grateful to have working AC again! Thank you!

I made an appointment 3 days in advance that was supposed to be confirmed for between 10-12 am. I called to confirm the appointment and the response I got was that they would not be able to get to me for an additional 5 days. Basically my appointment was cancelled without notice or my consent. I would not have gotten any notice if I hadn’t called first. Donelson air *did* call me but it was only in response to the call I made trying to confirm my appointment since I had not heard anything from them. I have no water in my house and this is completely unacceptable behavior to just drop a customer without notice. I will no longer use Donelson for my HVAC services either because of this experience.

The technician, Nick, was on time, courteous, and professional. He completed the maintenance in about an hour and reviewed his findings and suggestions with me. I’ve been working with Donelson Air for several years and I’m pleased with the service.

Had our summer maintenance today with Chris Larson. Did a great job. Had some issues which he resolved. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Our HVAC motor failed during peak winter we called Donelson HVAC. They sent people over right away and they figured it out the motor needs to be replaced. Taylor who works for them came on Monday and had the new part installed for us and also patient answering my questions, waited till i checked the system was working after turn if off after the repair.

Will C was very thorough and took care of several issues in addition to my semi-annual maintenance. He took pictures of the problems he discovered to show me and gave me a very fair price, even taking care of some issues for no charge. He also discovered a lot of standing water in my crawl space and we agreed on a moderate solution which would prevent damage to my home in the future, but at a reasonable price well short of full encapsulation which he said I did not need. While he was under the house he replaced my dryer vent which chronically detaches and vents into my crawl space without my knowing . Thank you Will C and Donelson Air!

My heating and cooling stopped working on Christmas. Set up an appointment with Donelson Air the next day. The tech, Brennan, showed up on time and took a look at my system. He walked me through the problems I was having. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He let me know the various options I had to fix the issue.It made the most sense to replace the entire unit (it was over 15 years old). A consultant, Eric Farmer, came out to walk me through the options of replacing the system. He explained the next steps and was able to schedule the replacement for the next day. Brennan and Eric were great to work with and walked me through the process of replacing my HVAC without making me feel pressured. I would recommend!

He was able to locate the problems, explain what was wrong, and the steps needed to fix it. He had her air fixed in less than an hour and gave her some tips to keep things running smoothly and what to expect from the unit as it cooled down to the desired temp. We appreciated the time he took to explain what was wrong and showing her where the units in the attic were located for future reference. We definitely will use Donelson in the future and will request him to be our tech! Excellent service!

Donelson Air Services pushed a quote of $16k for a 2.5 ton split HVAC unit that most others charged $8.6k. Canceled the contract, but want to warn others. These prices are outrageous.

We had them install our system originally and they were nothing but professional during the install. Nick that does our annual maintenance check is fantastic. He is polite, arrived early, and is very efficient in his job. Im sure they have many fantastic employees but we can definitely recomend Nick. Van that did our original install is also awesome.

I keep getting call and emails saying I signed up for their service plus. I had told the customer service rep I needed to think about it when they worked on my unit in July but it appears he signed me up anyways. I thought it was a scam and called them to see if it was legit and have not received a call back after they had been hounding me for months.Update: I received and automated call less than 30 minutes after I posted this. It said press one to schedule now so I pressed one and it hung up on me.

One fine company !! I called and they sent Ryan out . Ryan was right on time and super friendly. He diagnose my issue very quickly. I was up and running in no time. Ryan even went as far to hand clean the exterior of my unit and coil. Donelson air has excellent service an excellent service man. Highly recommended if you have AC problems

We were extremely satisfied with our service from Ryan! Our heat was not working properly so we made an online appt. the day prior. We were so pleased with how quickly we were able to have a technician out! Donelson AC was a life saver! My heat went out on Xmas eve, and I had called another company to come fix it. It took the first company 2 days to even come out. When I called Donelson AC, they had someone at my house within 45 minutes, same day. They were so friendly and explained everything to me- I’m so glad I called them. Donelson Air sent out “Mr. William Coslow” to perform maintenance on my two A/C units. He was extremely professional, and even appeared to be passionate about the work he was completing. He thoroughly answered every question I threw at him, and even explained the steps he was taking throughout the maintenance process. Additionally, he made the time to look at my upstairs attic furnace that had not worked since moving in 3 years prior. He diagnosed and fixed the 3 year issue in the span of about 15 minutes. “Now I won’t be freezing this winter!” That extra effort he made is hugely appreciated!

After almost 11 years, we (finally) had to replace our downstairs HVAC. The old unit was a package system, and we decided to go with a high efficiency split system, making the installation more complex and time consuming. Nevertheless, they came with the new system the day after we ordered it, and installed it in one day. Chasen, our service advisor, was very helpful. Ty and Thomas, our installers, explained what they were doing at every step, were friendly and courteous. I recommend Donelson, and this team.

I called Donelson Air Service on a Saturday morning at 9am with a broken furnace blower. Chuck was onsite by 12pm, ordered the part and installed it by 8:30am Monday morning. Chuck then went above and beyond by joining a call with my home warranty company to help ensure I received reimbursement for the repairs.My second experience with the company was as good as my first. Cody helped me out with a late-night heat loss problem. Even after a long shift, he was still jovial and quick to fix the issue. Thanks, Cody!

We were very pleased with our recent semi-annual HVAC maintenance. Christopher and Eric arrived on time, were thorough in their inspection and cleaning, and were very polite. They let us know what we may face in the future with our system, but there was no push to upsell us on anything.We appreciated the professional service!

Tech came for regular HVAC maintenance. HVAC units were working fine and just needed Spring maintenance. Did not stay with him since I assumed I hired a reputable service expert. Tech said everything was fine but the unit could use some refrigerant. I gave him the ok. Unfortunately, it appeared that whatever he connected to the system (R-410A tank and gauges) were not working so he disconnected them after 10 minutes or so, collected the maintenance fee, and left. The next day I noticed that my unit would start short cycling on/off every 2-3 seconds which was odd. The unit never ever did that before. I went outside and took a closer look and noticed that the unit was not cleaned at all as expected. I called and another tech was sent. The new tech did some checking and said the capacitor was weak and the contactor needed to be replaced but he didn't have the parts (you would think that the first tech that came would have detected those alleged issues). He also noticed that no maintenance or cleaning was done confirming that the previous tech collected money and didn't do anything. He said they would take care of that on their next visit to replace the capacitor and contactor. I am highly skeptical about anything they say now, and I highly doubt that the capacitor and contactor are the problem. I am quite disturbed by the fact that I paid for maintenance on two units that were running fine and now both have issues. From what I gathered, the first tech that connected his defective refrigerant tank and gauges most likely introduced contaminants in my HVAC system. Thank you Donelson Air for the great lack of service and for damaging my HVAC system. I heard rumors about your techs intentionally breaking people's HVAC systems that are just over 10 years old to bill them the high cost of replacing them. I didn't believe it until now. People, STAY AWAY from Donelson Air unless you want your HVAC units to suddenly have issues.

We woke up to our home being 55 degrees and called to make an appointment. We are part of their membership program and pay a small fee quarterly in order to have expedited service and routine maintenance checks. Tim arrived within an hour of us calling and was very helpful in explaining what the issue was and resolving it efficiently. He explained our options well.

My heat went out during the night and at 8:00 AM the following morning I called Donelson Air to schedule an appointment. I was able to get an appointment for 10-12 AM that same day. Within 15 minutes of scheduling the appointment Drew and Chasen called to say that they had just finished an earlier appointment across town and could be at my home to repair my heater within the 45 minutes. Drew and Chasen were on time, very professional, gave me helpful tips about maintaining the heating system. I would definitely recommend Donelson Air.

Today Chasen and Will were here for our maintenance check. They did an excellent job and were able to clear up some paperwork questions we had from previous work that was done earlier in the year. Fantastic service! I was so impressed by the level of care and detail. They were able to send a tech out right away when my AC went out while other services were going to make me wait a day. The repair cost was so affordable and was able to be rolled into a maintenance plan that will cover twice yearly checks and free service calls - incredible deal - and they were so thorough, above and beyond, had the issue fixed right away. This was one of the best experiences with a HVAC company. Donelson Air, was very responsive and speedy! We called DA at 7am, and they were at our home around 9am. Every other company had a 2 week window. Not only were we surprised with the quick response, but the professional techs were awesome! Very professional, and knowledgeable. Our home temperature was at 87 degrees when they arrived with and outside temperature of 103 degrees for the high. Breannan and Eric, got our air conditioning system back up and running less than 30 mins. These guys are true life savers!!!! I can’t imagine how hot it would’ve gotten in my home, had they not come today.

Today was the first time I had to call them because they didn't sent anyone during the scheduled time of 8-10 am.Jared and Donovan arrived and got to work right away. I had a very pleasant experience with this company. They were able to come out for service within a week while another company cancelled on me the day before and said the next available appointment wouldn't be until December.Nathan was awesome. Very polite and courteous. Gave me the breakdown on our A/C system and gave recommendations. Helped educate me on how some of the system works. He repaired a broken draining pipe and even adjusted and changed our air filter for us for no extra charge. I highly recommend this company. My first impression with them exceeded my expectations. Christopher did a tremendous job and went above what was required. However, TJ our that worked on installing our new water heater failed to finish with our crawlspace door and bring our copy of the paperwork we signed. We have made three attempts to reach him and get a text that he will contact dispatch and never heard back. It is going on two weeks and we paid extra for him to replace our crawlspace door. Very disappointing. My wife received a text that someone would come by and TJ did come by and complete the work. The sad thing is that the reply here said someone would call us and that did not happen; nor did we receive any sort of apology other than a reply to the review.

I was going to tackle it myself - maybe it’s just a bad capacitor. Then I remembered that capacitors can store lethal voltage. And I remembered that I have limited tools. And nothing goes fast and smoothly when you barely know what you’re doing. Etc. Called Donelson Air yesterday. Guy came today. Great guy. Suspected same issue I did, but that wasn’t it. Did some research simple diagnostics that I’d never have known how to do. Found loose connections and fixed it for under a hundred bucks. On my own I’d have ruined the weekend and still not fixed it. Good job Donelson Air and good job Tyler G.! And now “I got a guy for that.” 👍

I can not say enough good things about Chuck Ramer at Donelson Air. I woke up this am sick enough to call out of work and also I had no heat. I put in an online request around 7am. I requested appointments between 8am-12 noon. Amy from the company called at 9:09am to tell me she had someone available to head my way. Within 15 minutes Chuck arrived. Very personable, professional, asked questions, and then went straight to work. Within 10 minutes he explained and showed me what the issue was, went to get the part, quoted me a price and I now have heat. During all this the Residential Consultant arrived to check in, offer other services (in a non-pushy way) They were both out the door by 10:00am. I have a warm house to recoup!! Thank YOU!!!

My husband and I recently had an experience with Donelson Air Service Experts that left us ready to take our business elsewhere (we’ve been customers since 2014). I decided to complete the customer survey and detailed what we had experienced, thinking that it wouldn’t amount to anything. Within 15 minutes, the Operations Manager, Nathan Fort, called me and told me that he’d like the opportunity to make things right. Within 24 hours, two solutions were offered and both were more than satisfactory. My husband and I went from ranting “Never again!!” to “Hey, this company is really making an effort to retain our business.” We proceeded with cautious optimism. It’s been a week now and the situation has been completely resolved to our satisfaction and we have renewed faith that Donelson Air Service Experts really care about their customers.

This is the second time I used this company. Both times, this company was very responsive. For this second visit we needed a new HVAC system. Do Nelson Air delivered. The Installation Team was the hero although Chasen was great.Thomas, Mari, Gage and Kendall really came through with installing this unit. They were professional and efficient. We are very happy with their work and are glad to have joined the family.

Had a new system and new ducts installed in our remodeled home a few years ago for a competitive price and the workers were great: professional, hard-working and accommodating. We’ve used their prepaid tune-up maintenance plan since installation and the one problem/issue we experienced a couple winters ago was taken care of efficiently under warranty. The service techs are always punctual and courteous. Steve Summers came for today’s tune-up and checked everything out and explained some options for simple air health and safety changes we could make. Appreciated his awareness and suggestions.

I texted the numer at 1230 and still no response. Then I called at 3pm and they said someone would be on their way shortly. The communication was terrible this time. Had a new unit installed in August '21.. by September I required a tech visit due to AC not cooling, was told not enough freon was added during install though it cooled fine for 1 month. A few months later the condenser turns into an ice cube requiring another call, at this time I was told the factory defrost settings were not adjusted and needed tweaking due to Tennessee being not exactly North, but also not in the south which requires the setting to run more often. Fast forward to April '22 after a maintenance visit in February I once again have a unit that will not cool. Obviously there is an issue with the unit and I would appreciate a company that stands by their work vs. continuing to bandaid a lemon. I should not require an emergency call every 1-3mos..

Ty Gilbert was our technician who serviced a problem with our AC unit. He did a superb job of troubleshooting and resolving the problem. I was most impressed that throughout the job he explained what he was finding and what he was doing to fix it, even showing me a video and pictures on his tablet of what he had done.I appreciate his competence and professionalism. A great representative of your company.

Our 5 year old HVAC went out and we called Donelson Heating and Air to come check out the issue. They were highly recommended via reviews here, so I thought it was important I share this experience with other people.Tyler came out in the evening and checked out our unit, and told me the condenser bands were leaking and that this was the worst case scenario for our heat pump. They suggested we either do a $4,700 repair or replace the entire unit.We wanted to do our due diligence after this visit as our house is new and it seemed strange we’d need to replace this unit so soon. We had two other HVAC companies out this morning, both diagnosed the issue as needing a new coolant cap. The last folks to come did a detailed search for leaks, walked me thru it, and showed me that it was the cap. They replaced the cap and refrigerant and we’re back in business.To be fair, it was night time and it was Tyler’s last appointment. But it’s important to be thorough, especially when we’re talking about a major house repair.My advice is this: Nashville, go with a local company. Their name might have donelson in it, but this group is a large chain corporation and I felt as if their mission was to sell, not repair. Make sure if you have them out to your house that you get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Side note - we were charged 80 by donelson heating and air just to come look. Neither of the local places we worked with charged such a visit fee.

Split unit suddenly stopped working Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and really believed repair would have to wait until after the holiday. I looked on Google anyways, found very high reviews for Donelson Air, coupled with the fact the post stated open 24 hours. The call was answered, customer service was excellent, technician came out following morning on Labor Day! Chris Larson, the service tech was outstanding. Conducted a thorough assessment, and repaired the system quickly. Answered all questions effectively and offered superb advice on maintaining our system. If we have another issue, I will be asking for Chris. Thank you for being so responsive and for fixing our system on Labor Day!

Called Donelson Air back in October to do a seasonal check in our unit ls before turning the heat on.Was told everything was fine but was reminded of the age of the units and was sold a package that allowed them to come out one more time for free within the next yearCut to December 14 and the heat stops working. I call them to come out and they say it’s the inducer motor, which will cost $500 and they again try to sell me a new unit. In fact, they brought a salesman, who even tries to sell me a package deal with a water heater (our water heater is six months old). They also can’t fix the unit until Wednesday (it’s Monday), leaving us without heat for three days.AND they charged us $66, even though we’d been told on the phone that this visit would be free of charge (which also supports what I was told in October).So I do some digging and find out that this seems to their tactic lately. Lots of bad recent reviews sounding very similar to our situation.So I called Mark at Air Trust and leave a voicemail. He gets back to me the same night even though it’s after his listed hours. He says he’ll send a guy out at 9am the next morning. Guy shows up at 8am and our heat is fixed by 8:30am.And what I really appreciate is that Air Trust reassured us that our unit could likely last several more years when Donelson Air would have us believe the whole unit was on its last leg.We have been trying to get the $66 refunded for two days now. I am constantly told that billing is out of the office or unavailable no matter what time I call.Save yourself the stress and call someone else.

I had an exhaust fan rust up and making all kinds of noise when my HVAC unit was on. Called Donelson Air and they sent out Drew. Drew knew what the problem was as soon as he heard what the issue was, which he verified once the unit came on and he opened up the unit. Luckily my part was under warranty, but had to be ordered. The service charge was reasonable and Drew came back to replace the part on the day he said that it should be ready. He answered any question I had and made me feel at ease during the entire process. I will use this company for any HVAC issue, and hopefully get Drew again.

I came across Air Service Experts due to the highly rated reviews. I called in the morning (today 6/5/23) and everything was handled extremely well. I was promptly told I would expect someone out today - 06/05/23 between 12-2pm, I should receive a call or text confirming someone was on the way. Well, around 12pm same day I received an email confirmation stating my appointment is confirmed for tomorrow, 12-4pm. Well, this can’t be correct. I called immediately and sat in the queue for 25 minutes. I ended up hanging up and redialing, got someone immediately. At that time, they proceeded to tell me my appointment is confirmed for tomorrow and they can’t do anything about it. I asked why is this, why would I be told it was today? Representative said “I don’t know sir, I wasn’t the person you spoke with this morning”. I asked to be transferred to them, and was then told “I don’t know who you spoke with this morning, so I cannot do so”. No resolution was achieved and I was told “they’ll see you tomorrow”.I will report back and edit my review once the technician completes their job. This has nothing to do with the technician’s work. However the main office and the customer service has been 3/10 stars at best. Extremely displeased. People have to work and I made sure to stay home for today’s appointment. I have to repeat this tomorrow now. I see in a previous 1 star review there was an unfriendly phone rep, so it appears the company doesn’t immediately fix the issue if someone has bad customer service. I probably experienced that same representativeEDITED: just received a callback from Chrissie (spelling?). Not sure if someone had seen this review or the reason for the callback. But she listened to my story and offered immediate resolution to have someone come out today prior to 6pm. I said this was fantastic service, and even if today couldn’t happen- I let her know I was very appreciative she even took the step to try and resolve this by like the previous rep.I will continue to edit and update my review as the day unfolds. If anyone from Air Experts reads this, please give props to Chrissie.EDIT (Final): Jeff came out promptly at 6pm and got us taken care of. Actually discussed different ways to approach the issue, and got us signed up for the yearly 2 system maintenances. Extremely impressed, saved us a lot of money, and our air is working again. Changed my 1 star to 4. I couldn’t give 5 stars because the representative I spoke to around 1230/100pm almost made me switch companies the service was so bad and disrespectful. But I’m glad I stuck with this as Jeff was fantastic.

We’ve used Donelson a few times and always been pleased. On this last visit, Eric and Tyler in particular were great and got the repairs done quickly despite the heat. I wouldn’t say they are the cheapest but the quality and customer service has always been great.

To the best that I (in my limited understanding of HVAC systems) can determine, William Reyes did a thorough job of checking my two units.On another note, when I called Donelson Air to schedule a maintenance check, I was told that the cost of the Maintenance Plus program is $120. I learned today the $120 is for one unit. Hence, my charge today was $240!11/29/22: Landon came to my home today and replaced the condensate pump on our downstairs unit. The old reservoir was cracked/broken and was leaking. Landon did a professional job and also explained pertinent aspects of the operation of the unit.

Tyler came out and topped off my unit. he was very professional and got the job done quick made sure it was done right. He checked my unit and made sure everything was running in order. Couldn’t asked for a better repair man.

Cody Woods was my team technician. He was very friendly and professional. He waited late to make sure I got the best information about the options they had to offer and double checked to make sure things were working properly. I appreciate his service.

Just the best - they’ve now replaced both my HVAC units and my hot water heater in the last year. Fantastic service and communication, and I felt safe having the techs in my home despite the pandemic. Highly recommend and will be telling everyone I know about their awesomeness. There’s nothing left to break over here (I HOPE) but won’t hesitate to call them again if I have to.

Those “oh no” moments happen. The ac wasn’t working so they got Eric & Chris out same day, which was 4 hours from my original call. I did like the fact they moved me up in line as they were able to. They did diagnostics and then the options that were available.

I’m going to leave 3 reviews because i had the pleasure of working with 3 great techs. The first day I called them out Mr Johnny R came out and he was really nice and resolved my issue we taught. But even when i called him early the next morning he was very nice and helpful to help get it resolved. So the second day they sent out Mr.Scott M whom took his time and was patient with me as I was going crazy he worked till he found the issue and he was very helpful in what my next steps would be a really good man. Which lead us to the repair day Mr Scott worked hard and for hours to hit another snag but he didn’t stop till we got it worked out. That’s also when I got to meet Mr Jon S whom came and him and the Mr Scott beat the grimlings .So I was very blessed and greatful to have the pleasure of get theses 3 great tech Johnny,Scott,Jon y’all are awesome .

Regular maintenance on two HVAC units was done at my convenience, on time, thoroughly and professionally. Donelson is VERY dependable.

Truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. 3 year old $8000 HVAC system stops working, they come out and assess the situation. There was multiple issues including a glitch in the computer for the fan. They fan motor was not “available” until august so I understandably asked for them to send me information on something compatible with the unit. Tech person never emailed me, I called the main line everyday for 3 days straight asking for a service manager, none available at the time and they would call me back. No call back each day and each day I called asking for the very simple task for them to email me compatible motor so I could look into it. After a full week of no followup calls and apparently no one available ever in their main office, I decided to go elsewhere. Truly unprofessional on every level and I will make sure that my 5 properties never use this joke of a company again. Be warned.

William was great at fixing our AC Issues. Was timely, efficient, and well mannered. Highly recommend.

Charged us $250 to install Nest thermostat we already purchased. 2.5 weeks later, we had an error code pop up on it so we called them back to see if it was something they did wrong when they installed it.Upon checking it, the tech saw one wire was seated incorrectly and it took 30 seconds for the tech to fix it. Tried to charge us a $100 service fee for coming out to fix the problem originally made by them that took under a minute to solve. Will not be using again.

We are a members of the Advantage Program. When they say that you get 24/7 service - they aren’t kidding. We had a part in the unit break - our technician responded and worked in the freezing cold in the dark for hours. Our technician, John Schmidt, is hands down the best! He went above and beyond for us. It makes me glad we chose the Advantage Program :)

They came out to check out our unit charged us and said it was only a reset button. 2 weeks later heating stops again this time they come out and say we need a complete new unit. The sales person was a joke . They want a fortune to replace the unit . Found another company on Facebook. They gave us a new unit for half the price plus a better brand unit. I would definitely take your time and shop around . They tried to sell a monthly plan also that you would never get out of. Beware .

Our AC stopped working during a heat advisory! I called Donelson Air and was amazed that they were able to send technicians out the next day. Eric and Brennon called ahead and showed up on time, they were both courteous and professional, and they were able to fix our efficiently. Our HVAC agent from Donelson Air told that the heat exchanger on our 11 year old system cracked and gave me a 9K estimate. Had another Lennox Rep from Smyrna assess the system. He patiently walked me through every step and showed that the system is working with a normal wear and tear and it is not in any need of immediate repair. I am canceling the maintenance contract with Donelson Air!

Steve managed to get out even though the roads were terrible. He diagnosed the problem and was able to fix the heat within about 30 mins, had the heat back on within the hour. I was very happy with the service, and appreciate Steve not giving up! 3 days with no heat when it’s sub 20 degrees was getting worrying.

My ac went out and they told me the part I needed was going to take 2 weeks to ship. The time passed and I called numerous times to ask for an update and the operator told me they have no idea and that they will have someone call me to give me more details. Nobody ever called. I called 5 other times over the next week and the same exact thing happened to me. It has now been 4.5 weeks since they ordered the part and I still have no idea when they are going to come out to fix my ac.

I received a Duct and vent cleaning from Thomas and Mari Carmen and they did an amazing job! They were very polite and professional!

I called with a dead furnace in the morning, Eric and Brandon of Donelson arrived before 2PM and had my furnace running within minutes. These guys were courteous and knowledgeable, explaining what they were doing and finding as they went. I shared some other frustrations I have with my HVAC, and they put together recommendations for improving the system performance. I've signed up for their Advantage program to keep my system maintained and running smoothly from now, on.

The service was great! The men that came out were very professional and did a great job showing and explaining what needed to be replaced. Should be 5 stars because of them. However, whoever is in the billing department is terrible. I paid for the service, in full, the day it was completed which was mid-November. Since then, I have received 5 letters from them claiming my bill is past due. Each time I get a letter I call and explain to them the bill has been paid and have emailed them a copy of the receipt showing it was paid. Every time I call, they say they show the account paid & state I will not receive any more letters, yet I do. The 2nd to most recent letter came from a collection agency stating that my account with them is past due, which starts messing with my credit score. I, yet again, called them and they claimed it was a mistake & promised I would not receive any more letters stating my account was past due. Guess what?! I received another letter, lucky me. The woman I spoke to on a Saturday stated no one in the billing department was in but she would leave a message for them to call me back on Monday. Monday rolled around and no call. I figure I might as well wait for letter # 6 before calling again, because it would probably be a waste of time calling again before then. Maybe leaving a detailed negative review will get them to fix the problem. I will not be using their services any longer due to the headache from the incompetent billing department, which is a shame because of how great the people who come out to help are.
