American Leak Detection Of Nashville

I have used these folks, both times with great results. They really are experts at finding the leak. One was a plumbing leak under garage floor the other in my swimming pool. The pool one was hard and took them a while, but they were diligent, found the leak, repaired it and charged a reasonable price. I had the owner out once and one of their techs on the pool. They both get it, were courteous and thorough. If I have a leak again they will be my first call.

Everything started well. Appointed set up was easy, technician showed on time and was very professional. Unfortunately for me he wasn't able to locate any leak. Explanation was thorough and I moved on to find some solution before we have to replace entire service line. Different contractors suggested to go back and ask for some other technique locating water leak. My phone experience with office Manager was very unpleasant. I wasn't able to finnish any question, was interrupted and force to listen answers for questions I didn't asked or have opportunity to ask. Customer service poor, but appointed schedule and leak location service excellent.

Jesse located the leak in no time. I dug up the marked location and he was dead on it!

Worked on a leak for 4 days before I called on a 1000' line through my farm. They found it in 3 hours. Plus it was exact. I was worried we might be off a few feet. It was within inches!! The owner and his crew were top notch! Money well spent! Ground was totally dry, I never would have found it without them.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I definitely recommend this company and will use them again if necessary.

High priced car lot

They basically charged me 350 for maybe an hour and half. I am in the exact same position as I was before they came and know only slightly more about the leak they inspected. I would not use them again for that price.

Carrie at American Leak Detection went above and beyond to help me. Very honest and helpful. It's refreshing to know there are people like Carrie in the world - if I could clone her I would! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

They charged me $650 (!!!!!) to find a leak that took them 30 minutes. They marked the ground where the leak was. I asked the guys before they left if they knew how much it would cost, they said $375. I received an invoice today for $650. Definitely not expected. She said that price is for a local job. So they charge almost $300 to travel?!?!

When I called initially, I was sent a work authorization form to sign and quickly send back so I could make an appointment. I read through and sent it back.(quickly since we had no water) The price they charged was on the form (I didn’t see it before I sent it back or I would have never paid this!) but in the smallest print you have ever seen and very easily overlooked. I never received a call back to set an appointment (when I would have asked about payment) but they just showed up the next day. The guys were nice and very fast, I just wouldn’t have signed the form had I seen what they were going to charge me for 30 minutes of work.

I called to schedule leak detection for a water main leak. I was told the only person in the office who can help me was on lunch and they'd email me a contact when they returned. Called back an hour later and was rudely told they were working on it. I explained that we had no water in our home and needed answers ASAP. Was again rudely brushed off. My husband then called about 30 minutes later after no word from them. Spoke to someone else in the office who was also rude and said they were backed up for more than a week. No sense of urgency or caring on their part! We went elsewhere.

These guys located the leak under my pool. There was an issue with a GFI that they sent Mr Electric to address. That part went terribly wrong when Mr Electric hooked up a neutral wire to the hot wires and fried my panel. American Leak Detection was awesome. They sent someone else to fix the issue. When they came to make my repairs, their techs, Israel and Juan were two of the most professional gentlemen I have ever had do work for me. This company took a bad situation and made it perfect. Carrie the Office Manager was also the consummate professional and I cannot say enough good things about them. BTW, never use Mr Electric for anything.

These people sent out a team who were able to determine a leak in the skimmer line if my pool whih it 3 feet deep. Once determined they sent out another team proficient with cutting into the cement decking and digging down to repair the break inthe PVC. I recommend them highly ofr pool repair!

This company is AWESOME! Located the issue in no time. Now, it’s time to get the problem resolved! Thank you ALD!!!!

I can not speak highly enough about Keith Bailey and his office staff. I had a complicated leak underground, somewhere on 30 acres of horse property with lines run in all directions. I had multiple plumbers come out to try to locate the leak and was told by each one of them that the easiest thing they could do would be replace the lines. I contacted American Leak Detection and explained my complicated problem. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. When Mr. Bailey arrived at my property he was able to locate the leak in under an hour. I would highly recommend his service for anyone who has a leak they can not locate. These people are honest and professional.

Jim Pleickhardt came out and fixed my pool leak quickly after I had neglected to do anything about it for more than a year. Jim was great and knew what he was doing.

Their website says they do leak detection for mystery leaks, but when you call they tell you that they can only determine if a leak is coming from plumbing or not. If you already know it isn't a plumbing leak, then they can't help you. Waste of time with misleading advertising.

These guys are the REAL DEAL! They came out and searched Diligently for a leak underneath a parking lot. He marked the ground, drilled some holes, and we went behind them a week later to dig it up..... 6FT UNDER THE PARKING LOT!!!! RIGHT where he said it was. I own an HVAC company here in Nashville, and these guys will be my only call for the future!! Thank you for everything!

The person in the office i talked to was rude and acted like she didnt want to help is so am going somewhere else. Highly suggest staying away from them

Your guys (2) in the field are rude and entitled. They wouldn’t work because someone was inside gathering their tools. Then when you finally started you stayed outside to hook stuff up and prep. What a waste of time. Regardless if you find the leak, your lack of accommodating and customer service ruins it. I would not recommend.

The leak inspector came to my house February 21st. Pretty sure his name is Jesse. I didn't get the answer or report I wanted, but I was satisfied he did his job well and went the extra mile and spent extra time. He was respectful....and nice.

They were at our house within 3 hours of a phone call. Professional, prompt, and friendly! But the best part was that they found the leak that four other plumbers couldn't and saved us a lot of money and headache. Chris A. is setting a new standard and he will be our go - to from now on!

The only thing better than their expertise and service is their integrity. We didn't have a leak, but just bought an older house on 2 1/2 acres in Brentwood and couldn't find where the main water line came into the house. Two different people at ALD told me they were hesitant to take the job because they can't locate Pex (non metallic) lines. I assured them I was more than willing to pay just to have them try. Within 10 minutes, their technician located the water line and shutoff valve that 2 different plumbers couldn't find.

Micah and Israel arrived this morning to repair the leak Tom had found in one of our pool return lines last week. As always the guys did a great job in cutting through the concrete slab in our pool house with surgical precision! The repair looks and works great as is always the case when ALD comes to the rescue!

Had a leak in the bathroom in the wall. Did not know where the leak was coming from. The water was coming up through the grout and the baseboard was discolored and wet. Technician Jesse Allen arrived, covered his shoes, and got right to work. Leak was found behind the wall from hot water line running to the shower. Jesse Allen was friendly, professional, and polite.

The scheduling manager who contacted me after the insurance adjuster ordered the service call communicated everything clearly and then expedited the visit. Jesse Allen and associate were quick, and thorough, completing the inspection with no inconvenience to me. Jesse walked me through details of what to expect which were aligned with the adjuster's, very good service!

I had been recommended to a competitor who repeatedly failed to get back to me with an appointment. On my first call to American Leak Detection, they talked me through some diagnostics to find the leak, and we quickly identified it was the irrigation system. They booked for a tech to come out to visit to find the location of the leak, and quoted a price. The tech came out exactly when they said he would, and found the problem really quickly, not only finding the leak but tightening the nut that was causing it and fixing the problem too. Because they were so quick, they said they'd reduce the price from the original quote. Great service, great communication, fully recommend!

We have used the guys at American Leak Detection dozens of times over the years. From start to finish, they're great.

Called and got one description of service. Called back got a completely different description of the service, plus a bunch of disclaimers and an insistence that they only will work with my insurance company (despite deductible I pay). Was emailed a contract and wrote back to agree. Then got a phone call apparently from the principal of this company saying because our leak was in the walls they would not guarantee their services. Bizarre and unprofessional considering that is exactly their business and stated area of expertise and I had to specifically ask for thermal imaging which is the state of the art detection for leaks within walls. He seemed evasive as to why he would not hold up his guarantee and even said I don't want to come out there and work for free after I had already agreed to pay him $290 for 1.5 hours per the contract amount. I for one do not consider that free, far from it. I definitely do not trust these people - suspect they are just trying to scam insurance companies. I found another company doing the same thermography and advanced leak detection for a fraction of that cost and will stand behind their work without constantly trying to shift the goal posts.

Jesse and Ryan were totally awesome. I was referred to them by another plumbing company and these guys came in with a plan, knowledge and good work ethic and left with the problem fixed. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend this company. Super professional all the way around. The office staff (Debra) was very helpful, answered all of my questions, and returned phone calls promptly if she was out of the office. The service technician (Holden) was on time and very professional. He walked me through the whole process, explaining everything every step of the way. He did a thorough job of inspecting my entire pool and all of the plumbing and was able to make repairs. Super satisfied with the service and will definitely use this company again if I ever have any other water leak issues in the future.

I was in a sticky situation on a Friday before a holiday weekend and American Leak Detection helped me get my repair fixed quickly so that I’d be able to have water. Jesse and the other employee with him were very professional and walked me through everything that they fixed. I would definitely recommend them and use their services again!

If they forget to reconnect the water to your fridge or mess up the water heater while moving it, they will charge you $850 to fix their screw up.

The company was recommended by a pool service company. That pool professional, who is very responsive, said this company could fix an emergency. After leaving 4 very detailed messages over 4 days (they don’t respond on weekends, FYI, but voice message indicates they answer the phone 7 days a week), they did not return my emergency messages (we were out of the country with a renter in the house). We finally got someone on the phone that said that she didn’t quite know what she was doing because she had not been trained and that someone would call us shortly. That did not happen. We reached out again and got a hold of the manager of the company and she did not have all of the information that we had supplied repeatedly, told us that we had not given her team our email address (as though we refused…they never requested it). They only wanted to communicate through email and she was quite short with me and told me that it would be at least three weeks before anyone would be able to even consider working on our pool. If you have a leak with water rushing out of the pool, I am guessing you need it fixed quickly. Evidently the owner of this company has created a culture that does not foster good customer service, well trained employees nor communication that could solve issues effectively and efficiently. If you can’t reach them and leave a message, be aware that they do not respond. 4 messages in 4 days….hmmm. Pool Leak Company has been recommended and seems to have a less “corporate” approach and has an owner that seems to be accountable. Good luck!👍
