Read this before you spend your money. We had an $8000 moisture evacuation system installed in late 2014, with the promise that AFS would perform a water test in a year to determine if the system was effective. AFS instead came out 6 months later and did the test, providing us with no report or results. At the one year mark, I had never heard from them, so I started calling. Numerous calls and emails to their office over the next 7 months resulted in failed promises and excuses as to why I had never received any report on the test done months earlier. I finally wrote to Rosie on the House and told them of my problem, since AFS is a preferred partner of R.o.t.H. and that is how I chose AFS in the first place. In August of 2016 I finally received an email copy of the report from the owner of AFS, along with his recommendation of further venting work at no charge. That was over 3 months ago and I have not heard from them since. I don't know if their system was effective or not, but at this point I regret ever spending my hard-earned money with them. Their communication, follow-thru, and aftercare has been horrible. $8000 apparently wasn't enough to warrant any service. They didn't hesitate to cash the check though.

Tim Appel evaluated some confounding cracks and advised me on the probably cause and follow up steps. He was thorough, professional and straightforward. I appreciated his honest assessment and prompt response to my call. Thankfully the problem was not foundation-related, but if it had been, we would felt good about hiring him to fix it.
