Best General Repairs in Chicago IL

STS Electric did an amazing job on my new house as well as many past smaller projects. I have used them for years on everything from a ceiling fan replacement to rewiring an old apartment that had cloth wires to my recent gut rehab. This job is now my home and I love the work they did. They are always very precise when it concerns the details of placement of the lights as I am very particular and they understand and make it exact.I am mostly a DIY guy who grew up in the construction industry but I usually don't do bigger electric jobs out of safety concern and my inexperience with the code. I cannot rate them highly enough when it comes to professionalism and workmanship. They are responsive, punctual and clean up after themselves. I have recommended them dozens of times.

A good electrician is hard to find and I'm thrilled I was referred to these guys. Great work and ALWAYS finish at the low end of their estimates. True professionals who know their business. I'd give Kent and his team 10 stars if possible!

I called and Tony Juarez answered (unlike other contractors I called this morning). Tony indicated that he would have Grace call me back to schedule a time. Grace called and scheduled the appointment. Tony showed up early and explained the pricing policy. I admit i was very skeptical because I thought this was going to turn into a money pit of a repair. My problem (i thought) was a burned out breaker due to a power surge from a neighborhood power outage. Tony explained that i had two options for diagnostics a $49 or $319 option. Over the phone i was told about the $49 option so of course i was thinking about the ole bait and switch. I thought Tony was trying over sell me when I knew that i just needed the breakers replaced. He explained that if I didn't do the $319 diagnostic, that it could end up being more expensive, especially if the problem wasn't what i said it was. I held my ground pretty tough but Tony convinced me that the problem could be anything. I relented and chose the $319 option. Not 1 minute into taking off the panel did Tony notice a loose wire which is covered in the diagnostic. Now could i have gotten this cheaper, yes but i wouldv'e had to have known the problem. Tony was very nice and provided me with points to help keep my system maintained. I would call All Power again because of Tony.Keith W.

The staff at Arnold Electric Service were on time for our appointment to assess the electrical needs of my client’s condominium and were very professional and thorough in doing so. Most appreciated was the fact that their staff electrician was absolutely honest with me about his ability to provide further services. While our house was undergoing water mitigation, the fans and dehumidifiers drying out the house fried our circuit breaker, blowing the power out to about a third of the house. From the time we called Sims & Sons to the moment our power came back on took less than an hour. The service was fast and friendly!

They handled all the permitting, the installation looks great and passed village inspection with flying colors. The price was very fair and the workmanship was excellent. Jake was a pleasure to work with as he worked through our electrical needs. He also identify where there was a potential fire hazard between the ceiling fan, remote and light switch that was earlier installed in one of our bedrooms. This business is very unprofessional. Stay away! I am a real estate broker and called them to perform work on a listing in the area. I made an appointment three days in advance for the Monday at 10 am slot. I was told that the electrician would arrive between 10 and noon. I was okay with that considering the nature of the business. When 1 pm came and went, without a call, I called the office to get an eta. The guy on the phone sounded inebriated and said that he would call the electrician to see where he was and he'd give me a call back. I never received a call back from the office nor did the electrician show up to perform the work. Don't waste your time with businesses like this! I would give zero but I'm forced to give them one star by Google.

Neuman Electrical Services are highly responsible and most recently had someone out for an emergency within a half hour of my call. When the technician arrived, tech used booties in the home and wore a mask. He was knowledgeable and thorough and even found a dangerous problem we didn’t know we had and fixed it immediately. Great company to work with!

I have used Franks several times now and they're always able to get the project done right and in a timely manner, while also being affordable.

They were fast to respond and schedule. However, it was a complete ripoff for the service provided. They should have been able to identify or try the fix ultimately performed within the visit/ initial diagnostic fee. However, they had us commit to a $400+ job which took less than 30 minutes to do and consisted of only fastening a couple screws in the grounding box outside our garage. All-in $600 for 30 minutes worth of visit/service. Be aware!

All of this company staff I worked with were professional, explaining project needed and answering any questions I had. I was impressed that they were always on time and I received emails & text notifications regarding appointments and arrival times. I felt that the prices quoted were fair, and appreciated that they followed all protocols with regards to city and utility inspections along the way. I would endorse them.

We could not figure out why the power to our newly-installed Ring doorbell wasn't working and found this company on Yelp. They sent us an electrician who was on a Mission From God to find the source of the problem and who refused to give up when all seemed lost and it appeared as though we would need to start demolishing drywall. Finally, he traced a wire he found in a hornet's nest of mechanical and electrical equipment and located a blown transformer in a concealed and remote nook of our garage, at which point he climbed a ladder, twisted his body into contortions, and fixed the problem by installing a new transformer. He was worth his weight in gold. Three cheers for Wizard Electric.
