Jason, Josh, and Elijah were prompt, considerate, professional, trustworthy, and kind. The work for our recessed lighting project was done quickly and with care, precision, and high quality. JMC specializes in hot tubs. We had them hook up a hot tub that we purchased through a local dealer. The quote was fair, very clearly spelled out what was and was not included in the the hookup, a 50 amp GFCI using a new subpanel replacing an older 30 amp circuit on a 60 amp subpanel. When the hot tub dealer informed us that the tub would be delivered in 24 hours, JMC was able to work us into the schedule to show up the same day as the delivery (we gave them 24 hours notice). The breaker provided by the hot tub dealer didn't work, and the electrician doing the work had to wait for them to reopen the next morning, picked up a new breaker, and we were up and running within a few hours. The GFCI was thoroughly tested, the electrician was friendly and told me everything he was doing. He also picked up a part not included in the quote and installed it at my request (110V outlet hanging off of the panel). Very VERY happy with their work, fully intend to have them out to do more work on our house.

Did a google search for an electrician to install a 120v 30 amp RV recepticle. Had called another company first for an estimate. That electrician had no clue as to what a 30 amp outlet looked like so decided he wasn't the right person for my request. Recieved an email, text from Sonny (SJ Rios Electric) that he would call and set up appointment. Soon after Sonny called and we set up the appiontment for thursday morning with a reasonable estimate. Sonny showed up on time with tools and the materials go do the job. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Sonny also explained what he was doing why. I was referred to Avant Electric by a friend. Brian was very professional, easy to communicate, and pleasant to work with. He did a great job installing a Level 2 EV charger for me. I definitely will work with him again in the future and recommend his service to other.

Serving on the board of our HOA and as a electrical engineer (I deal with electricians daily), Im blown away by the lack of professionalism and service WIL-CAL provides. The following are MAJOR problems we had that were major factors in canceling their contract:

1 - Workers on many occasions would show up, sit in their trucks and leave. When management was questioned of what work was completed those days we could never get a straight answer.

2 - We had a service contract and lighting spec with WIl-CAL. All bulbs must follow our spec but on countless occasions they used incorrect wattage, color temperature, and even bulb type! When we would complain they would state “the electrican didn’t have it on their truck” or a similar excuse. This would be acceptable IF WIL-CAL would remove the incorrect parts upon return but they wouldn’t. We even offered the use of lockable storage spaces to keep parts on site with no luck. The result of their poor service is our campus looks horrible at night, I mean horrible, its actually quite embarrassing as members take notice. Consistent member complaints which in turn reflects poorly on the board. Which brings up a question, whats the point of a service contract if your contractor installs incorrect parts?

3 - WIL-CAL claimed parts cannot be sourced on our fixtures as they were discontinued. We have a massive site with many fixture types the could not be repaired. This includes lenses that, I kid you not, are available at our local hardware store.

Needless to say, we canceled their contract and replaced them. Our new contractor was not only cheaper, they provide additional services, following the spec, created a migration path to next generation lights (lower consumers with better spread/light quality) and has sourced replacement parts for ALL our existing fixtures. It's unbelievable what only a couple months of our new Electrican's effort looks like vs years of paying WIL-CAL.
