I'm so happy I called Eddie. I was having issues with a short circuit, and he walked me through the issue over the phone, saving me a site visit and lots of headache. He knows his stuff, was very patient, and helped me get my electrical issue quickly resolved. I haven't had any issues since. Communication from COIL during the quoting and scheduling phase was excellent (phone, text and email). Electricians showed up early and were very courteous. They explained exactly what was included in the quote and where there could possibly be overcharges before getting to work. The site was left absolutely clean!!

Looking for an electrician? I’d genuinely recommend Urban Energy for the job. We hired Fergal and

the team to help us with our kitchen retrofit. We got in touch with some local electricians, but to be

honest, they just weren’t in the same league as these guys.

So the job? We were putting in floor and wall outlets, lighting and surge protection. Although he told

us he normally doesn’t work with HVAC, we asked Fergal to install a Nest Smoke Alarm, which he

dutifully installed.

If I was in the market for an electrician once more, I’d definitely get onto these guys again. Five stars.

I didn't end up using REF, because Hector was such a straight-shooter that he suggested my handyman should likely have a look at the issue first to see if my electrical issue was a simple solve (and thereby save myself some money). This was after he patiently talked me through the problem on the phone and suggested some trouble-shooting. I noted REF has expertise with old SF buildings like mine, so figured I would call them back if it was a more complex issue - but thankfully, just as Hector suspected, it was not. Will certainly keep them in mind for bigger electrical jobs in the future. Thanks Hector!

Never showed up.... first time they said there was a work emergency, then he was going on vacation, so he was going to send one of his guys out. He scheduled another walkthrough and... he never showed up. I called and texted him to see what happened, he said he emailed me. Turns out they never had our email so lied about that, then even though confirmed via text and they never showed up he called me rude for being hesitant about rescheduling a third time. So I had to leave this review. Unfortunate.
