Andrew did an excellent job of installing a new LED ceiling light fixture in our laundry room. He also inspected both our interior house breaker panel & the exterior panel for possible lightning damage, all at no charge! Highly recommend Firefly Electric for any electrical needs!

I purchased my house in 1979. It had the fuse boxes that were probably from the time it was built in 1956. I needed the panel replaced and had 5 quotes for the work. All companies proposed exactly the same work that needed to be done, but the prices varied tremendously. There was one lower quote, but they listed some exclusions. The others were all more than double of what All Star Electric had quoted. Bradley and Robert had checked everything inside and outside. When Adan sent their estimate I had various questions and the Owner, Richard Grohman visited personally and explained everything again. They started and finished their job just like they had promised, all in one day. The inside panel is a different size than the old one. No patching was needed. Nobody could have done a better job than they did. Outside and on the roof everything was accomplished properly, all work was completed at the end of the workday and the work areas were left clean. They even gave me a 10% Senior Discount. I would recommend All Star Electric to everybody and I will definitely hire them to do any electrical work I might need in the future.Karin Fiederer

Last week we had an electrical fire at the main circuit breaker panel at 1 in the morning. The fire dept came with CPS. CPS cut the wires to my house and pulled the meter. My wife called J & L Electric before 7 am. By 7:30, an electrician was over telling his office what parts were required. Besides the repairs, the electrical feed had to be brought up to code. By 9 or so, 2 electricians were at my house to replace the whole electrical feed. This included the pole, meter box, circuit breaker panel and a accessory box for the A/C. The men worked non-stop till 9 pm. There was a delay getting CPS over because the city had not inspected the work. Mr. Guerrero, the owner of J & L, got with a super at CPS and explained there were 2 elderly people and 3 young girls at my home. Waiting till the following week for the inspection was not going to work. CPS relented and power was restored around 9 pm. J & L Electric came through for us quickly and efficently. Plus the bill was very reasonable considering how many hours they worked. They will be my electricians from now on. I highly recommend them for any electrical job, large or small.

I would go with another solar company if I could. This is not based on one incident but multiple already. From the beginning the sales representatives were pushy (condescending at times) trying to get us to go solar. Since we did already want solar we decided why not and ignored the behavior. The sales reps were also very poorly informed and kept telling us we would receive $13K as a rebate to help pay off the loan or to use towards anything else but that was incorrect. It was a tax break or something which didn't really help us since we don't pay anything close to that amount in taxes. Next, upon installation they failed to thoroughly check our houses wiring and cut the connection/electricity to our back house and told us we had to get that fixed on our own. Ridiculous in my opinion since they are supposed to be the electricity experts and could have told us this beforehand and we would have tried to work something out. More recently, the solar panels failed to produce for a month and we weren't aware until our electricity bill came in $300+ more than normal. Getting in touch with them was a pain and they kept sending us to different people. When the worker came to check out the problem they said it was something that they would order and we would be without the panels for about another 3 weeks. He said we would be compensated for the 2 months without power but (to no surprise) when the issue was resolved and we tried to get reimbursed the managers said we should have called when the issue started (which we couldn't have know about until after our bill came) and since they had no control over when the part was going to come in they couldn't do anything about the 3 weeks when we weren't producing energy. So we are down $600+ . Horrible company. Please do think about going solar but go elsewhere for better service.
