I had a circuit blow during a rainstorm which caused all the lights in the apartment to go out. Thought it was going to be a big job, but Rich was able to come early the next morning and fixed it in 20 minutes. His rate is reasonable. Highly recommend!

Hired them to help rewire some of my outlets in my home and install different light fixtures. Good, fast work. Hired them again later to replace some outdoor outlets, I had to reschedule on them last minute and they were very helpful and accommodating. Great work.

Very disappointed with the level of service and professionalism of Daven Electric. They were contracted to do the Electric and Fire Alarm work for my new small business in DUMBO, and failed to deliver every step of the way. They did not order critical equipment from their preferred Supplier in time to meet the project deadline, and then made no attempt to find alternate equipment anywhere else. The rest of the construction was complete, but I couldn’t open for an additional 2 months due to this incompetence. I still had to pay rent on the space and missed out on 2 months of revenue during the peak holiday season.

Finally, desperate, I (with no experience in this field whatsoever) contacted various local suppliers and had the equipment made and on site in 1 week – what they could not do in 4 months! Further, Daven then had the audacity to refuse to complete the work and I had to scramble to find another electrician to finish THEIR job. Icing on the cake – they failed the inspection and delayed my business opening yet another 10 days. Just another example of a typical lazy contractor that takes no accountability for their actions (or inactions) and expects small business owners like myself to not only do their job, but also pay for their mistakes. AVOID this company like the plague if you want to work with a reliable and ethical contractor.

Our home is around 60 years old. Unnecessary to say there have been various changes that have been done to the electrical system over this time. We were looking to wrap up the basement inevitably, and as we examined what was down there, we found leftovers of knob and tube and way as well numerous junction boxes, clearly far from perfect. Besides, the crew came in and settled everything. They were professional and knowledgeable, gave us many great recommendations, were courteous, and treated the house as if it were theirs. Ceriello did a bunch of odds and ends in a 19th century townhouse in Brooklyn. Add a circuit here, install an outdoor light there, fix an outlet, install a ground,... It was a bunch of work over 2 full days. It was done competently, quickly, with great communication. I'm looking forward to calling them again when I need electrical work done.

We had a funky wiring situation in a bathroom and wanted to install a new smart switch (humidity sensing fan switch) or at least find out if it was possible. I called the electrician near me, and he was punctual and patient and helped clean up the switch box. In the end, because of the old wiring in this old house, we weren’t able to connect the smart switch and installed a traditional timer switch for the fan. In the end, we were very pleased with the service provided, and the rate was very reasonable for the amount of time and effort this took. Would definitely hire again.
