Daven Electric provided our 100 year old building with a new upgraded electric service and distribution system to all our apartments. From the beginning initial survey to the final approved inspection Daven conducted themselves in a highly focused and professional manner. Jen, Alex and Dave were all accessible and available which is why the project was a success. There were no surprises, everything Dave and Alex said became reality. The project was very reasonably priced and they handled the inevitable unexpected fairly and quickly. Highly recommend Daven Electric for any of your electrical needs!!

I met with Alex from Daven Electric. He was fantastic! We needed to replace our electric switch boxes for insurance purposes. He understood the urgency of our situation and did everything to get the job done quickly and to the highest of standards. The electricians assigned to our job were Jack & Luigi who were prompt, courteous, neat and extremely professional. It was a pleasure to work with the entire Daven team including Jen, the office manager. We will definitely contact Daven again for any future electrical needs. Highly recommend!

Our nyc co-op hired Daven Electric to do a building wide electrical upgrade and I'm so grateful that we were referred to him. From the first walk through David and his team took the time to explain the process and the schedule, and even hosted an in person Q&A for all of the building's shareholders. He secured materials in a timely manner despite a shortage at the time and even made referrals for other trades. He and his whole team went above and beyond for a project delivered on time and on budget, with no change orders. Definitely recommend.

I live in queens and I needed power for a mini-split system being installed by and Hvac contractor in my 2 family home, I found DAVEN ELECTRIC on google and gave them a call, the office manager handled my call like a human being not a robot salesperson. The field superintendent came over to the house to survey the job for pricing and within 3 hours I had a price and it was fair. Two days later the installation was completed with no surprises and clean workmanship to boot. My wife and I are extremely happy and only regret is that DAVEN ELECTRIC just does electric, we wish they did everything it would make life easier. Anyway DAVEN is a great company and we recommend them.

I have small retail shop in Tribeca and last week we had an issue with lights flickering. I called DAVEN electric and explained the matter to the office manager who took all my info and listening carefully to my issue, She in turn directed me to wait 30 minutes and a field supervisor would call me back. 10 Minutes later Alex form DAVEN called and 20 minutes later he was in my shop. He diagnosed the matter, quoted the cost of repairs and the very next day a truck showed up with 2 uniformed, badged members of DAVEN field staff, they were polite, clean, well mannered and understanding that my store is a retail establishment and should be treated like it’s the most important place in the world. They corrected mattered , I paid the bill on line and they were on there way, GREAT JOB by DAVEN!!!. No issue 3 weeks later and I also had a follow up from Jen the office manager ( the first person I spoke to ) and then Dave ( the owner ) took the call as well to ensure my overall experience was satisfactory. AGAIN great job, great experience, great product, this obviously a VERY well-run company.

I don’t live in queens anymore however my mom still does in an apartment in a house we own in Astoria, My mom who's 95 called and said she heard “crackling“ and smelled something like rubber melting near an outlet were a power strip was plugged into. We went on-line and found DAVEN electric and contacted them, when we spoke with Jen I explained the matter and the fact that my mom is getting up in age and can be a bit nervous. I called daven electric for a large apartment ( 150 units ) building in queens which needs a new larger electrical service , all new 100amp risers , new panels and new electric range circuits ( we are getting rid of gas in the units ) and they were on-site in 2 days to review the project and I had a price in 3 days . A Few things I noticed right away the owner Dave and the superintendent Alex knew exactly what to do once I mentioned were losing gas service and needed electric ranges. They offered up 20 buildings of similar size that they had completed and /or are in middle of doing the exact same project in , the gave me the owners names and numbers to call . I called the contacts and reviews were great , I went to 2 buildings to look at the work and the work was on point and I spoke 3 tenants in the same buildings and they but nothing nice things to say about the daven team . Pricing was right in the middle of 2 other electrical contactors who had bad attitudes and poor reviews. You get what you pay for and I am going with DAVEN ELECTRIC on this project and anything electrical period

We worked directly with Dave, President of Daven Electric, and he offered fast professional service at a reasonable price for a project other electricians didn't have a solution for. Dave helped us diagnose why a large piece of machinery wasn't powering up...unfortunately it involved upgrading our electrical panel but Dave made it as painless as possible, took care of all communications with CON ED and had our machine back up in running as quickly as possible. We definitely felt Dave and his team went above and beyond.

Having known David Lavender for a number of years, I asked the Daven team to take over a project from a previous electrical firm. From their initial dealings with the DOB Electrical Division to arranging and attending inspections, then getting the necessary sign-offs, they were diligent and responsive throughout the process. Their analysis of the existing conditions as well as their knowledge of and adherence to the correct electrical codes made working with them stress-free. Administratively, the paperwork, insurance requirements and documentation was clear and whenever a conversation was needed, always available to clarify any details in question.
Even during this Covid-19 period, the site specific work at the operating Tenant space was well coordinated, tidy and efficiently staged so as not to interrupt any daily business.

Easily the best commercial electrical contractor I have every worked with. I was shocked at how delightful they were over the phone. Excellent customer service is a lost art and this company does it right. Responsive, on time, professional, fair, and incredibly knowledgable. Quotes were given the day of site visit. Scheduled job within days and complete on time. Do yourself a favor and hire them and do not worry.

A week ago I searched online for a commercial electrician near me to help with a shop I have in Brooklyn. Daven came up as a choice. It was a pleasure to work with Daven Electric. I had a small pre-war apartment in a Coop in Sunset Park. I needed completely new electric brought in from the basement, through the dumbwaiter. Daven replaced everything with new wiring. He had a fair, market rate price, performed the job well and on time. Not only that, but his crew was careful, polite, clean (no dust outside my door) and understanding of my difficult situation of renovating in a Coop in the midst of the Covid Pandemic. Remarkably excellent company, thus far on the quotation process and noticeably the on the dot timely arrival and other electricians do not explain the DOB rules and electrical standard clearly to laymen. It is refreshing to actually have a clear idea of what is going to be done.

During our time together David surprisingly shocked me with all his documented research stating I didn't need any work done . He stated it was a filing issue. I am a building superintendent for 30 story mix-use property in midtown and I had a issue with one of the cooling towers so called the mechanical company whom indicated we have an electrical issue. I called our typical electrical contactor and as usual I got the same old “ I will have men on site in and hour “ and NO ONE SHOWED. I went on line and DAVEN ELECTRIC popped so called them and within 2 hours a project manager showed up and identified the issue and subsequent remedy. The next the matter was corrected and ALL was well, we now have a NEW electrical contractor and its DAVEN ELECTRIC which I highly recommend

I own a 6 family building in queens and my insurance threated to drop me if I did have the 7 electrical breaker panels which were all FEDERAL PACIFIC brand changed immediately. I went on google and found that the federal pacific breakers panels I have were considered a FIRE hazard. I went back on google and found DAVEN ELECTRIC, I read the reviews and then called them. They quoted the work virtually and it was on the high side ( you get what you pay for in this city ) and then I asked for referrals. I spoke with 4 people with small buildings similar to mine and they all said they had a great experience and that’s all I needed to choose DAVEN ELECTRIC, I rather pay more and get the right service. The entire process was perfect from start to finish and frankly I didn’t expect to be this pleased.

I read the google reviews about DAVEN electric and decided to give them a call for 2 issues that I am having with my 3 family home in Brooklyn. First issue is I need more power for electric range and electric heating and secondly I have open permits from the 1994. The owner Dave took my call and thoroughly explained in great detail how both issues delt with in the efficient and cost effective manner, Dave went on to schedule any on-site appointment in which the field superintendent Alex attended and walked me through the entire process and the men who did the work were delightful. ALL AND ALL the entire experience was well above my expeditions and was SLIGHTY above the price I received from 2 electricians that did NOT have the same high google reviews. I own a 3 family house in Brooklyn on Friday I lost partial power to the building itlsef, I call CONED and they insisted I call a licensed electrician and as I don’t know any I simply wen ton google and key in licensed electrician. I called a few of them on the first page and either they didn’t answer, treated me like I was the enemy or were out right nasty. The forth call I made was to DAVEN ELECTRIC in which I go Jen S the office manager and she treated me like a human being. I explained the situation and she put me on hold for a brief moment and Dave the owner picked up and explained to me what he felt it was and that he would dispatch this ticket to the field superintendent which is Alex S. Alex S called me in 5 minutes and he to felt what Dave had said was the issue was accurate. Alex S explained that daven electric is not emergency service company for new clients BUT when I mentioned that I have a tenant with children in the house and my mother lives here as well and is aged. Alex being a caring individual explained the fee structure and had a truck on-site in 2 hours, the staff member pinpointed the issue, temporarily e-wired the building and called con ed. Con ed showed up in 2 hours and permanently corrected the matter as it was an issue in the man hole on there end. The daven team saved the day and I haven’t seen that in long time, my hats off to DAVEN ELECTRIC

I recently had Daven Electric install new lighting fixtures in my home and their electricians did a great job.

I am the owner of (2) 3 family homes, (1) 6 family and (3) 30 unit mixed use all located in Brooklyn and I started using Dave from DAVEN electric 10 years ago and at first the pricing seemed a little high so I used 2 other electrical contractors who where cheaper. WARNING TO ALL cheaper does NOT cost less in fact in the long run it cost double. After getting lied to and abused by the other 2 electrical contractors and having absolute nightmares with my tenants and the DOB I went right back to DAVEN. DAVEN corrected the eras the other electrical contractors caused and refused to take responsibility for, closed the other electrical contractors there permits and delt with the DOB HANDILY. In retrospect it would have cost 50 percent less had I stayed with DAVEN ELETCRIC in the first place. A word to the wise, CHEAPER COST MORE so use a quality vender when dealing with your biggest asset such as your home, building, co-op / condo or business. In closing I USE and RECOMMEND DAVEN ELECTRIC as they EXEMPLIFY a quality electrical contractor.

Very disappointed with the level of service and professionalism of Daven Electric. They were contracted to do the Electric and Fire Alarm work for my new small business in DUMBO, and failed to deliver every step of the way. They did not order critical equipment from their preferred Supplier in time to meet the project deadline, and then made no attempt to find alternate equipment anywhere else. The rest of the construction was complete, but I couldn’t open for an additional 2 months due to this incompetence. I still had to pay rent on the space and missed out on 2 months of revenue during the peak holiday season.

Finally, desperate, I (with no experience in this field whatsoever) contacted various local suppliers and had the equipment made and on site in 1 week – what they could not do in 4 months! Further, Daven then had the audacity to refuse to complete the work and I had to scramble to find another electrician to finish THEIR job. Icing on the cake – they failed the inspection and delayed my business opening yet another 10 days. Just another example of a typical lazy contractor that takes no accountability for their actions (or inactions) and expects small business owners like myself to not only do their job, but also pay for their mistakes. AVOID this company like the plague if you want to work with a reliable and ethical contractor.

I am the district manager of La Colombe coffee roasters with 9 retail locations in the NYC area and for the past 5 years when there is an electrical issue we call Daven Electric and consider the issue remedied, it's that simple. When you have to perform in your roll for a major coffee brand you chose the vendors who make you shine and Daven Electric is just that type of vendor. I recommend Daven Electric.

I called DAVEN ELECTRIC for a quote on a small project on Monday and on Tuesday the superintendent Alex was at my location reviewing my thoughts and requirements with me in great detail, by Wednesday I had a formal quote laying out the entire scope of work as we had discussed on Tuesday. The price was higher then 2 quotes I received HOWEVER the professionalism was at a higher degree as well. I decided to check the reviews and ask for references which as far as the reviews are concerned they are a top notch company and when called the references ( provided by the office manager Jen ) I was given more then enough detail and comfort that DAVEN electric was worth more then the price quote. Let me be frank, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and that goes for hiring an electrician as it does for buying a car. I could be happier and feel more at piece knowing I had a NYC Licensed electrical contractor with proper insurance and highly skilled men which conducted themselves like a military operation with gentleman like manners preform my project. In short when it comes to electrical work which is life safety I do not mess around with fly by night unlicensed, uninsured, unreliable companies and you should not either. CALL DAVEN electric and let them impress you as they impressed me.
