I recently moved into an apartment and discovered to my dismay that two rooms did not have power. I called YT Electrical and Yordanys came over immediately-- and took one look at the panel and said, oh no, that's a Federal Pacific panel. Google it and you will see what is wrong. So I did, and my heart sank-- I cursed myself for not having done a proper inspection (everything seemed fine before I moved in), and wondered whether I was looking at a massive, five-figure job that I would not be able to afford. My wife was even unhappier.

But it now appears that I called the best electrician on the planet. Yordanys and his brother Dayan replaced the 80-year-old panel, which was absurdly placed over an entry-hall closet and required a new location (hence, cutting into the wall), then installed four lighting fixtures, repaired a couple of nonfunctional outlets, and replaced two unsafe outlets (kitchen, bathroom, GFCI). And that is not all! They also fixed the problem that had led to two rooms losing power (the previous tenant had screwed up when removing a light fixture, as if things were not bad enough already), and Yordanys actually bought us a great fixture for the kitchen after we had failed to find something we liked. When that was all done (over a day and a half), Dayan stuck around and hung two large, heavy mirrors for us-- then offered to drive me to Best Buy, pick up a TV, and mount it on the wall. We can't believe the amount of work all this entailed-- and the fact that the total cost was about half of what we had expected. Last but not least, Yordanys himself is not only highly professional but considerate and personable as well. Rewiring an old apartment is usually hell, but this turned out to be one of the most pleasant and satisfying transactions we have ever experienced. We are telling everyone we know in New York-- if you need a skilled electrician, call YT Electrical!

When other electricians were called they made the project seem more of a problem with a suggestion of taking out a very large area of my ceiling! However, Randy from LED, was able to install a brace in a light fixture area for my ceiling fan with minimal cut out and no major mess…it was neatly done too and Randy was professional! Initial scope only included installation of a new light fixture. At the last minute, I thought it might be worth asking if he had extra USB outlets on hand that could be installed (time-permitting), so I asked, not really expecting much. Did a total rewiring in the house and electrical upgrade, from old fuse box to new circuit breaker panel. They took care of the necessary paper work. Our home is around 60 years old. Unnecessary to say there have been various changes that have been done to the electrical system over this time. We were looking to wrap up the basement inevitably, and as we examined what was down there, we found leftovers of knob and tube and way as well numerous junction boxes, clearly far from perfect. We were rescheduling when he asked for the address again. I gave it to him and he said I won't do the job too hard to find parking. We had various projects that we had to carry out. We also had other estimates from other contractors. CN Coterie wasn't the lowest estimate we received, but I was impressed with their knowledge of the craft.

They asked all the right questions that the others didn't even think of. It was clear that they had a better understanding of the full scope of the project from the start. The price was always extremely reasonable and there were never any fun surprises.

They did an amazing job remodeling our bedroom as well as fabricating and installing new custom closets which my wife is basically in love with. They replaced our boiler and hot water tank in our boiler room, remodeling our bathroom and kitchen.

They replaced our basic hot water boiler with a Navien tankless boiler which also provides hot water. CN has also installed all necessary accessories recommended for Navien boilers, such as water neutralization kit, smart thermostats, etc. Two new ventilation systems have been installed from the boiler room to the roof.

We did a full gut demolition for the bathroom. CN pointed out that the existing bathroom was not framed in a perfect square, so they reframed the bathroom after demolition to make it a perfect square. They installed new gypsum and cement panels. My wife and I chose amazing marble tiles for the wall and gray tiles for the floor, I forgot what the floor tiles were made of, but they are beautiful. We replaced the bathtub and the toilets and installed a new shower system. We were considering installing a frameless glass shower door, but it was out of our budget, maybe in the future we will install it. CN also installed a new electric wall heater and bidet in our bathroom, which was not part of our mandate, but they decided to do it for free, which my wife very much appreciates.

For the kitchen, we also did a complete demolition and cropping of the kitchen to get a perfect square. Before this project, I didn't understand the importance of having walls framed in a perfect square. CN is very fond of symmetry. ALL the cabinets are perfectly aligned on the wall and the appliances are perfectly placed. CN built us some jaw-dropping custom cabinets. We told Nicholas about the ideas we had for the cabinets and he gave us a sketch of what the cabinets would look like after fabrication. I have to say the cabinets are exactly what they detailed in the sketch.

We are very satisfied with the work done and the money well spent. During the construction process, the CN team was very professional and friendly. My wife and I would definitely use them again and plan to do so. Keep up the great work of CN and the team.

Nick and Mike are absolutely awesome. They pulled off installing a Tesla charger in my condos outdoor parking lot. The wire had to be run under concrete, through the building, and routed around the basement to my meter. All was done seamlessly. Communication with myself and management was perfect as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a top tier electrician.
