I have used Spectrum Wire on several occasions and their service is prompt and professional. They have assisted my family in a situation where immediate attention was needed for an electrical issue in our older home and they made time to quickly attend to our situation. We recently moved to Jacksonville and had several electrical projects that needed to be completed in a timely manner on our new home. Nick and his team completed them on-time and on-budget. No change orders, no surprises, and no headaches. I had an electrical journeyman's license in two states prior to moving here and I have been extremely pleased with the quality of work, and with the accuracy of the bids. I highly recommend Nick and his team, and will continue to reach out to him as our first choice for all projects going forward.

Did two projects for me (main panel replacements), one turned out well and the other was a bit of a train-wreck.

First, if you don't communicate a very specific and detailed request, it is lost, misunderstood and incorrectly priced. What started out as a 200 Amp panel replacement ($1,100.00) and a request to add an automatic cut -off switch for a back up generator at $800.00 blew-up to $3,700.00.

Worse, I kept sending them specifications for a solar inverter that I wanted to install at the same time while re-powering my house. After repeated request for pricing the work, they blew me off, only admitting they were incapable of installing the equipment after the initial job was completed.

To add insult to injury, they forgot to have the work inspected for over two months?
Now I have to hire another company to finish the project. The moral of the story; they are OK at very simple task and their field people are competent. But complex work of any kind is far out of their wheel-house and their office staff is disorganized and questionable.

I could have giving the entire project to another company that was slightly cheaper and qualified to install solar equipment. It will cost me great deal more, pull another permit and have to undo some of the work already completed.

Learn from my mistake.

Daniel promptly answered my online request and scheduled a visit to look into my irrigation electrical problem. He listened to what I thought was the problem and he took it from there. He was able to isolate a wiring issue which he repaired. Sprinklers are fully functional and automated! You could tell that he enjoyed what he was doing and is a true professional. I will definitely contact Volt Edge Electric for any future electrical needs.

I am an architect and found working with James and his crew very productive...worth every penny. They are courteous, professional, prompt, and competitively priced. Believe me because I get multiple bids. I will continue to refer James and everyone at Johnson Electric to my friends, associates, and colleagues.
