I called them to come out and repair my water heater after a flood in my basement. I have a home warranty and a claim number. I gave the technician the information as I have done in the past with other home issues, he left for a few minutes came back and confidently told us we would be reimbursed by our insurance company, he changed the water heater ignoring my request to move it back 2ft. I paid him $3500.00 which seemed fair and confirmed with him that I would be reimbursed through this claim. I sent my receipt to insurance who informed me he never took the time to get it pre-approved. I have called Dr. Fixit several times requesting assistance and they will not call me back. They refuse to tell me who they spoke to and have ignored my requests for proof that they got it pre-approved.
