However, he found that my humidifier had still delivering water, and quoted me $400 to replace a $22 part, and 10 minutes to replace, or $1000 to replace the entire humidifier, $200 retail.I understand there's overhead to running a business, but these prices are straight up predatory. People who don't know how to do a simple internet search are being taken advantage of. Just be honest, charge a service call fee, and double the price of the part, or even triple it, then it would be worth the convivence of not having to do it your self.
