I hate to report a bad experience, but I must. Moy arrived on time, but quickly tried to convince me that rather than a mere drain clearing with an auger, I needed to have him use a hydroflush to clean out the pipes as the house was old. I told him the pipes were actually only 5 years old, as I had them completely replaced. But he persisted. I refused, insisting that I merely wanted the kitchn drain unclogged.
He seemed rather unsure of himself, and hesitant. Strangely it was I who had to suggest I get a rug to protect my vinyl floor from damage by his very large auger. He didn't think of this. Then he needed me to supply him plastic bags for disposing of sludge residue.
I told him that my drain had 32 oz of liquid drain opener in it, from my attempt to clear the clog the night before. So when he vacuumed the water into a canister, I hoped he would be careful. But when he was returning the vacuum to his truck he trickled the very caustic chemical mix onto my vinyl flooring, and then spilled at least two cups of the liquid onto my fine wood flooring in my entryway! He saw what happened and didn't appear alarmed. I ran and got my own towels to clean up the chemical spill before it damaged the surface of the floor. He was unapologetic, but obviously embarrassed at the error.
My kitchen floor was left with grime and grease from his equipment, and I was left to quickly clean it up before further damage was done. He should have come prepared to protect the floor, as this work cannot be done without a mess occuring. I definitely cannot recommend Blue Planet, after this experience.

I purchased the hydro-cleaning service (Did I get that right?) to correct an old plumbing problem that had plagued my house for years. My plumber was quick and professional. He arrived earlier than the appointed time after calling ahead to advise me. And when he was finished, he left the area cleaner than it was before he arrived--even though I told him not to worry about it.

I’ve been using fix for several years and through a couple of emergency leaks. Always prompt, courteous, quality repairs and fair prices. I always trust that they are telling me the truth and giving me the best price possible.

Had to clear my drains AGAIN three weeks later after he came. When I called at the time I told him it was probably rootlets. He never said that he charged extra at the time for rootlets, just that he can’t guarantee if there are rootlets (which is the number one reason for clogs in older homes). After he got to my house he told he could guarantee clearance but for an extra couple hundred dollars as he would hydro jet the line. I said no because it might damage my line more.He charged me $125.00 and said it was cleared. I came out and saw what came out and didn’t see a single root so I know he must not have gone all the way to the street as he should have done. After it clogged again I called a guy who cleared the line for $115.00 and even showed me the rootlets. Use this guy if you want to THREE TIMES the amount of money for the same job. When I called and asked for my money back he said no as he hadn’t guaranteed the job. Also the next sewer guy had me flush the line for a few minutes using the bath water. All this guy did was ask me to flush the toilet once. Should of known then.

I had an emergency at 7 pm on a weeknight last week. Contacted a plumber I knew who had previously worked on my house, Frankie, and he said he would come help me. It turns out he now works for BPI, which he did not tell me until he got to my house. He provided no contract for replacing my water heater, said he was not going to run the job through the company because it was a side job for him, and gave me no receipt for payment after I gave him a check. For some reason, the bank refused to cash the check I gave him, so the BPI office called me to collect payment via credit card over the phone. I was charged $3500 dollars for replacing my 40 gallon tank gas water heater. The company dispatcher who called me for payment insisted that is a fair, going rate. Yet, every other company says this should have been about $2000-2500 tops for the after hours service. I asked for an itemized receipt, but all they gave me was a receipt for plumbing for $3500. They did not even mention replacing the water heater on the receipt! There was no itemization or justification for the charges on the receipt. I think my vulnerability as a single female with a plumbing emergency was preyed upon, and I was ripped off. The technician did not use drip cloths and made a total mess in my house. To top it all off, I just found out that a permit is required for changing a hot water heater in CA. I did not know this, and BPI Plumbing said NOTHING to me about needing a permit. Now, I am going to have to figure out how to get a retroactive permit and pay for it, ON TOP OF the $3500 I already paid BPI. I unfortunately made an extremely expensive mistake with this company, and I will never contact them to do work in my home again.

Christian came to the house and installed a kitchen garbage disposal for us. He installed the device in less than 20 minutes and left the work area cleaner than he found it!

I had an existing WH problem which resulted in multiple attempts, upon calling I was made aware that my service warranty expired however the problem was fixed with no charge. R & J Plumbing did a great job! We had a single bowl vanity that we were upgrading to a double vanity on the wall adjacent. We had to close off the water lines that went to the bathroom on the other side and move the drain to another vent pipe. They had to reroute the water lines through the studs too.

Doesn't seem like an easy job and we were expecting it to cost us a lot more. Thankfully Raul quoted us INCREDIBLY competitive pricing that we couldn't decline. He was able to schedule the work to be done within less than a week and was a fraction of the price. Raul was very well at communicating with us, very timely, and will absolutely rehire him and his team for our next projects.
