Best American Standard Heating Contractor in Boston MA
READ THIS BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY - I am not sure where to begin. Let's start with timeliness. We have three kids, and an active household. This Plumbing company will give you an appointment time, and WILL MISS THE APPOINTMENT. When we called to get an update on the time we were told it was lunch now, and the technicians would have to come after they are done eating....HUH?
Next - We needed the Navien water heater serviced, and the techs told us that it was installed incorrectly and they would need to fix the piping. The pipe has three curves in order to circumvent a supporting beam. The told us they could come back in a week and gave us the appointment time.
Today, is that appointment, and we are wondering where they are. We call and Mike (owner?), rudely tells us alot of people are without heat (I'm thinking my phone says it's 65 degrees right now ...not freezing, AND how many people plural could possibly be without heat at 9am, AND we HAVE AN APPOINTMENT....AND and and). My husband states the obvious which is, but you told us you would be here and we rearranged our work day to accommodate. To which Mike responds, if you were one of our regular customers I could help you but I am telling everyone else 2 weeks!
The only thing I can do is help them lighten their business load so that they can better serve their core customers. THAT WAY they won't waste my time nor anyone else's. So, here is my 1 star review.

I contacted Rich in early November to replace a malfunctioning boiler/hot water combination unit. Rich was prompt to return calls, and provided an extremely reasonable estimate within a few days of our first contact. He then completed the installation, and although the install was harder than he initially expected, he stuck to his original estimate. He installed a Burnham cast iron boiler, with an HTP 60 Gallon Superstor and we have been very happy with the results so far, and very impressed with Rich's installation and continued service.

Rich was fantastic and we're thrilled to have found him and his company. We discovered our water heater was broken when giving the baby a night bath and Rich replaced it the next day. The replacement required some additional pipe work and Rich did the job quickly and reliably!! Cannot recommend highly enough and look forward to working with Rich again!!

He was responsive when providing quotes, competitively priced and was happy to answer any questions we had related to the process. He is fully certified as a master plumber and his workmanship showed on the job. He helped us with processing the HEAT loan from MassSave and provided quick service even considering the impacts of COVID-19. He was professional on-site and was always sure to maintain distancing and wore a mask.
He was friendly and gave us updates on the work he was doing and why he was doing it. Our house is fairly old and had amateur work done by the previous owner and he took it upon himself to clean up several fittings and went above and beyond what was asked of him at no charge.
Overall, an excellent experience and we'd happily use his services again. Highly recommended.
