When we bought the house in 2014, the hot water had been mixing with the cold water for 8 years. No one could figure out the problem so most assumed there was a mixing in the slab. We just lived with it. After a remodel where two of three bathrooms were completely gutted and those plumbers couldn’t figure out why it was mixing, we decided to call Chambliss to see if they could figure it out.. Kevin said it was highly unlikely it was in the slab. Whew! They listened to me, my description of the problem, the history and that I said the remodelers did nothing wrong. The problem was there before. Ruben asked if the Master Shower cartridge had been changed out since we owned the home and I said no. He started there. That was evidently the problem! It was a little more complicated than merely changing out the cartridge because the cartridge was frozen and we had to tear out the tile and replace the valve, but thank goodness it wasn’t a problem in the slab.
