Best Boiler Maintenance in Saint Paul MN

We got fabulous service from Rascher, as always! Jason & Ben were on time & got the work done quickly. They cleaned up & had good communication w/ us. Hot water heater was leaking, and they squeezed us in the next morning! (Even though appointments have been 3 weeks out). We found this great local company (St Paul) when we needed a lift pump fixed, a few years ago. Not many companies handle lift systems.

Our A/C stopped working so we contacted McQuillan Bros to come take a look. First the positives: they came out the same day and their trip charge was lower than most others, even on a Saturday. Now the negatives: our technician, Zong Vang, told us there were more problems than there actually was. Our fan motor inside the furnace failed, which caused the A/C to not work. He incorrectly also diagnosed a leak in the A/C's refrigerant, causing it to be low - he noticed an outside pipe to the A/C freezing up quickly, so he said he didn't even need to test the amount of refrigerant.......hmmm. He also said the A/C's 'contactor' was testing poorly and that it would probably fail soon, causing the A/C to fail once again - he never showed me the results of his test. His repair bill was so high that he even recommended that we consider having a McQuillan 'comfort specialist' come here to help us consider purchasing a brand new unit. He promised us on that Saturday that he would return on Monday to make the repairs if we decided to go forward with it, because it was such a big ticket item for the company. Well, Monday came and almost went. We called the office first thing Monday morning, with additional calls throughout the day, and requested that Mr. Vang call us back, but that call didn't come until nearly 3:00 pm and he said he wouldn't be able to make it that day. His manager overrode that and said he would still get him out here that day, which we appreciated, but we had become increasingly frustrated with him going back on his word so we reached out to a smaller, local HVAC business. That individual came out that same afternoon and handled the problem the correct and honest way. He didn't even look at the A/C unit until he had the blower motor in the furnace repaired with a new part. Then he went outside and looked at the A/C and told me that the A/C will only work and test accurately once the furnace blower motor was working properly. It was not low on refrigerant - the pipe did not freeze up this time because the blower motor was working. The contactor tested normal and did not need replacing - he showed me the results of the test, something McQuillan Bros did not do. In the end, McQuillan Bros would have charged us almost double for repairs and wanted us to consider buying new. The other guy said that our units are in great shape and should last for some time to come. We will not be doing business with McQuillan Bros in the future.

Called to discuss options for new water heater. They were very responsive and provided a quote after some discussion. Price was competitive with no hidden charges. Scheduled an installation a week out due to my schedule. They arrived on time and completed install as ordered and were done in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Very pleased with no issues. Would highly recommend.
Referred them to a friend a week later who had a leaking water heater and they installed a new one within 2 days. Friend was very pleased with install and price.

Nick did an excellent job and worked I credibly hard to figure out what was going wrong with the plumbing in my house. It wasn’t an easy fix - but he really figured out what was broken and needed replacement. I will have him back to do more work in the next few weeks.

Ruslan and Rob did a great job on both of my projects (a stack replacement/code issue and a dishwasher/fridge plumbing install). Even my cranky little dogs liked them! Thanks for the solid work!

Our experience with Ryan this past Sunday was fantastic. First, he answered the phone when I called at approximately 11:15 PM the night before to inquire about an AC repair once we realized that it had broken. Then, he arrived promptly at 11:00 AM the following morning (having given us an arrival time window of 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM) and began assessing the problem. He worked diligently until our AC was fixed, finishing up within approximately one hour. It has worked great ever since! While no-one wants to face the hassle or expense of an unexpected appliance repair I would absolutely recommend Krinkie's to anyone with Heating or AC needs. They've been great!

We had a new Carrier furnace installed in November. A few years before that , we also had an a/c replacement with a Carrier unit and are very pleased with the performance of both. There were two problems with the furnace install that were discovered after the fact , i.e. humidifier didn't operate and 2) a/c didn't operate. Both times, Bill Butler came to do the repairs and identified a wiring problem when the furnace was installed. He was very effective and professional. Apollo is our go-to provider for HVAC.

Dave and Matt were outstanding! We had an electrical fire with our old water heater. Hero came out quoted several thousand more than White Bear Plumbing. My wife set-up an appointment to have an undermount bathroom sink bowl installed, to replace a sink bowl that had cracked. Joel arrived within the service window. It was immediately apparent that it was not work he wanted to do, for whatever reason. He informed me that it's a 'very rare' job...which is hard to believe as these are quite common. I had a replacement sink bowl purchased and ready to go. After pondering it a bit, he came back with a quote of $752. According to several contractor friends I'd spoken with, this is DOUBLE what the high-end cost for this job should've been. Joel noted that the job would take about 2 hours; it's was only sealing the sink to the marble and the reconnecting the pipes. So almost $400/hr for his time? I feel it was a straight-up swindle and he just inflated the cost so he'd walk out without any work and the $69 visit fee. I'm assuming this is a common practice with Soderlin, to inflate prices and then laugh all the way to the bank when they've conned the customer or walk away with $69 for 10 mins of poking around. We were scammed. I would caution working with this outfit, especially without any price range estimate before the service visit (which Joel said they don't do). Had to have a heater and A/C unit inspected for the sake of my home. They did a great job, on time and the report was very detailed for the new owner. Highly recommend Janecky!

This was the first time I’ve used Bruce Nelson Plumbing Danny was prompt, courteous and kind he worked very efficiently and was very pleasant to be around he replaced a 55 year old shower mixer in about an hour would highly recommend this company again

Forced into using their services pretty much, multiple different quotes none of which were accurate and then dropped a massive bill on me because I had to use a commercial service for my residential low income housing I was living in. I wouldn't recommend from my personal experience.
