I usually put plumbers in the same category as used car salesmen, but Eric and Butter Plumbing are a rare exception. The short version of the story is that my water heater started leaking this morning. I just had this new one put in by Butter Plumbing some two and a half years ago and I was upset that it went out so fast. BUT, I did buy their 6-year exclusive parts and labor guarantee and when the job was done, I was not only pleased but it didn't cost me a cent. At first, you might say of course... you bought the warranty and you would expect free. But there were several issues that were over and above the normal install. New pipes, fittings, valves, etc. You just have to believe me when I say I'm impressed with the professionalism of this company and this particular plumber... Eric. It was not a simple replacement yet Eric handled it so well I was very surprised and greatly appreciative. I am quite sure I never reviewed a plumbing company before in a positive way. The best thing I can say here is... eureka! I finally found a plumber I can trust.

I called the office to ask how to obtain an employment verification.
The woman did not say her name and did not want to give it to me.
Her tone of voice was as if I was bothering her.

She advised me to email the request so I did.

I called the office back and asked to speak to the manager to inquire if they received the request. The same dispatcher Who answered the phone previously refused to transfer me.

If they treated people with more respect he would not see so many one star reviews.

As a small business owner I am aware of the impact these reviews can have on a business and tend to not post anything bad but this story I have to share.
I called Aqua Plumbing to professionally repair/replace a leaky PVC Compression Coupling on a main line. The office lady (very nice) informed me of their rate $131/hour + parts; I agreed and scheduled the visit. The plumber arrived as scheduled did the repair and left. Here is the interesting part.
The pipe was already dug out, he just got the water out of the hole, tightened up the same compression coupling (did not replace it), spent 45 min to watch if it still leaks, left and charged $262.
Apparently Aqua Plumbing starts their timer when the plumber leaves his house (which was not disclosed during during the initial phone call), you pay him at a full rate of $131/hour for all the drive time, then the repair time and the time he spends watching dirt dry (45 minutes). BTW who watches a coupling for 45 minutes to see if it still leaks?
Anyways, the initial bill was $262 to tighten the old compression coupling - the office manager was again nice to me and dropped the bill to $131 after we spoke.

This was the first time I've used the electrician side of YES. Glad I did. They arrived within an hour of my call. The technician Sean was great! Friendly & courteous! He fixed the electrical issue I was having quickly at a fair price. I'd recommend these folks!

Rakeman has been my number one choice since day one.
