Aladdin came highly recommended to us by a trusted source and we were happy to get an appt for the following week - even though we had an active leak from our upstairs neighbor's apt, causing a chasm in our bathroom ceiling. Jerry showed up with a helper, and he quickly got to work - running various sources of water upstairs, his helper here below looking into the ceiling hole. Our neighbors had shut their bathroom water off over the weekend to stop the dripping, so I showed Jerry pictures from my phone of the pipes and dampness while the leak was active. I told him my husband had already tried all the sources (shower, sink, etc.) but found it to be the upstairs toilet that was causing a leak in the wax seal and gasket. Jerry tried all the sources for 30 minutes, he was unable to re-enact the leak. He then called his dispatcher and reported no active leak in the ceiling and prepared to leave. I heard this and immediately said There's definitely a leak, but the water has been shut off all weekend so it might not be dripping now. We spoke to our neighbor to confirm this. He said If I can't see a leak, I can't fix it. I called my husband and put him on speaker phone with Jerry, (bc my husband, a home builder/carpenter, had been working for several days with the neighbors and was able to source the leak himself.) My husband told him It's the wax seal between the commode and the closet flange. Jerry said he had been flushing for 30 minutes and didn't see it. My husband explained that the leak was caused by the leaky (rubber) seal in the toilet tank which allowed a small but steady amount of water to flow down the drain and seep out through the wax seal and onto our ceiling. He also told him that, When we shut off the water to the commode four days ago, the leak stopped. Jerry said That could be, but I can't fix what I can't see. When the leak re-occurs, you can call us back. I said So they should keep their toilet running, and if the leak begins again five hours from now, THAT'S when we should call you - even though you're here now? He said Yes, Im not waiting around for it.
As they were leaving, and his assistant hands me a charge for $250, I said So how much will it cost if you actually replace the wax seal? He said, We'd have to remove the commode. I said Could you have done it in the time you were here? He said impatiently You didn't ask me to replace the wax seal, you asked me to FIND a leak. Exasperated, I said In other words, when I called Alladin, I should have asked them to replace our wax seal - and you would have simply done it, instead of calling for someone to fix a leak? He said Oh, no I'm not going to have this conversation, and I said Well, I'd like to know what the correct way to ask for the work --- and he ignored me saying I'm not listening to any of this and instead of responding to me while I was asking a sincere question, he simply marched away, and down the stairs while his helper collected $250 from me for not finding a leak and wouldn't even entertain the notion of quoting what the final job might cost a small co-op. I'm expressing this not because I don't think Jerry is a good plumber (that I don't even know), but even plumbers who make great sums of money should have respect for their clients - especially in the time of Covid when it takes a week to even GET a plumber to your home for an active leak. As a woman owner of my own small business, I could never have justified this treatment of any client for any reason - and I was disgusted by this behavior from someone I paid $250.

Great and honest plumber here. My kitchen faucet had been leaking and another plumber that I consulted told me to get a new faucet. (Mine is quite new, from Dec 2019, so I really didn’t want to have to replace it.) I then asked for a quote to simply reinstall it since our building handymen noted that the initial installation wasn’t done well. I got a quote from the first plumber that suggested a new faucet altogether and it was astronomical. Another plumber quoted by the hour without noting how long it’ll take. Third plumber, AABC, quoted the fairest amount based on Google ranges for this type of job. Irving just came and diagnosed the issue immediately. It was a simple issue and nothing needed to be reinstalled or replaced!
If you ever need a plumber, I’d highly recommend AABC Plumbing.

Everyone I dealt with was polite, knowledgable, helpful and well spoken. The job turned out to be more complicated than expected through no fault of theirs and they were assiduously responsive. I like to have a community of small business people I can rely and Ariel will be our plumber so long as we live here.

I've been struggling with my bathroom sink leaking for the past month and my apartment did a horrible job fixing it, which just made the leak worse. I called up today and requested service, and thankfully Neha was able to find the time slot that works with my crazy schedule. The plumber came today - found out what was causing the leak, fixed it, cleaned up and double-checked to make sure all was good. The entire process took less than an hour. Really recommend!

Have called this company four times, set up two different appointments to get an estimate, and they did not show up, deny that they know about the job, and do not call back despite leaving multiple messages. Clearly they are busy enough. Take your business elsewhere. Very unprofessional.

This guy is wonderful! Edison had me send pics, got some info from me on phone and took care of my needs the same day I spoke to him. I still can't believe it all got done in one day. Another Plumber left me hanging over a month with this toilet replacement. His workers are great, friendly, and courteous. Jake did a wonderful job. So happy I found these guys. HIGHLY recommend them.

this is the worst company in the city. They don't tell you how much something will cost, fix it for 10 minutes and slap you with a charge for over 350 dollars. DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER EVER THEY ARE SHADY!!!!!

I had a couple of issues that needed fixing/investigating. One was that my washing machine didn't have hot water. The guy broke my drain pan moving the machine out and then just said I need a new box. He did not attempt to disconnect it or clean it (which might have solved the problem. ) I bought a new water leak sensor and asked them to install it. Gateway said that would cost $1500. I already paid $490 for the initial visit. Even though it would only take an hour or two, they said they charge for 4 hours regardless and that they are $350/hour. I hired a task rabbit to do it for $160 instead.

Finally an honest plumber! Had some serious problems in my midtown apartment, and I'd already been through 2 plumbers (who shall not be named, but were severe disappointments)... Thanks to the 24 Hour Plumber NYC team I now have a clean bill of health for my plumbing systems, and I can rest easier at night. Thank you!

The plumber never showed up within the estimated time frame. I called to follow up and they confirmed that he was not going to make it. Very unprofessional that they failed to call or reschedule. I went with someone else.
