Quick appointment and effective repair BUT an outrageous price; $440 (plus $100 for two pieces of metal pipe) for an uncomplicated repair that took 35 minutes (including a trip to his car to get the replacement parts). That’s $754 per hour (plus parts) for work in the middle of the day time. Unbelievable!

Good Experience with their service

The service was great, and they were able to come quickly. My only issue was the exorbitant cost that I felt wasn’t very transparent. I was quoted one price over the phone and when the technician arrived, he gave me another higher price which seemed high but I appreciated the convenience. At the end of the visit, the final price was about $500 more, for a total of $1,100 to snake a garbage disposal and about 1.5 hours of labor. The technician didn’t wear booties and ended up leaving my kitchen floor pretty messy, which I definitely wouldn’t have expected for the premium price. I would recommend to people for quick and good, but very expensive service.

We received a $1000 violation from the DEP. I was pretty stressed out about it because I had never even heard of a “backflow” before.
After searching and searching for a plumbing company who could help us, I came across Nivo Backflow. Boy were we lucky. A lot of the other companies I called were either rude, never returned my calls or just didn’t specialize in this type of work. We found sewer companies and heating companies, but none of them knew the answers to my questions. Nivo Backflow helped us to solve our problem. They were patient, answered all my questions and their prices were very competitive. They were friendly, clean and courteous. They even helped us reduce the fine we got from the DEP. They are truly a one-stop-shop. I highly recommend them.

The absolute worst experience I have ever had. After booking an appointment over a week ago they were supposed to come to help to see if I had a leak in my apartment. They gave me a window of between 10-2pm so I had to take off from work. At around 10:45 I called to get a better estimate of when they thought they would come. I was put on hold and then told that their regular building clients come first and they wouldn’t be able to come today nor would they be able to come for the rest of the week. I explained that I booked it over a week before and was a paying customer and that no one had bothered to call to tell me this. I was losing a day at work to sit at home and wait for them and they didn’t have the courtesy to call and tell me they couldn’t come. Awful company. Stay away.

Good work - lousy on calculation of hours. Over billed by two hours with little regard to trying to correct the issue. Two hot water heaters that required six hours to install, but bill included eight hours labor.

Extremely unprofessional; the plumber never showed up and repeatedly lied and said he was on his way. The Bright Star Plumber dispatcher also lied and said they were sending another plumber when one NEVER came, resulting in four hours of my time being wasted. I finally called Roto Rooter and they sent a highly professional and very competent plumber right away, who did an AMAZING job.
