This company is fantastic, I couldn’t recommend more. They’re professional, articulate, and on time. For someone that doesn’t know much about plumbing, it’s important to me that my plumber takes their time in describing what is happening, the cause, the solution, etc. I trust them so much, they’ve been very helpful!

Imagine your boiler stops working and it’s New Years Eve - and the weather is expected to drop to below 20 degrees…well that’s what happened. Having worked my way down the Yelp recommendations and getting either no response or no they don’t repair boilers, I came upon MKC plumbing. How lucky we were that Chris was able to fit us in, drive over and resolve the boiler issue and remedy the lack of heating. Chris is hardworking and honest, you’ll feel as blessed as we did having found him. We be keeping his number for future projects and emergencies.

I called Fred Smith to help with some plumbing issues I was having at my kitchen sink on the Upper East Side. After describing my situation over the phone, the dispatcher told me he would call me back with a proposed appointment time (because they juggle a lot of emergency work, they did not want to set an appointment right away). Not too long after the initial phone call, an appointment was set up.

The plumber showed up on time and got the job done with no problems. I was most impressed with how polite he was and how careful he was to clean up and not leave a mess. I highly recommend Fred Smith!

They was suppose to be at my residence between 10-130 no one showed we called got a new time 4 to 530 still no one showed

Refuses to provide insurance for work. Called them out on it, and they said I need to send a check first. Obviously I said no - like car insurance, plumbing insurance is a MUST.

The boiler they worked on stopped working. Asked for visit/maintenance, and they claimed they no longer do work for me because I didn't send the check.

Bound to be doing something shady in the background. Not trustworthy.

Is this still a functioning company? I'm confused. 2 days in a row, I call them, get a timeslot. Two days in a row, 2 hours late, no courtesy call. I call them back. 'We will be right there'. An hour later I call back, annoyed. Again no courtesy call stating they will be late. 'We will be right there'. Another hour passes. No show.

On the first day, they finally showed up, 6 hours late, not one courtesy call. The dude forgot his tools, oops. Seriously? We schedule an appointment for tomorrow between 9am-12pm.

Tomorrow rolls around. 1pm and no show, no courtesy call. 'Is it ok if we come at 4pm?' Me, annoyed as hell. 'Sure'. 4pm, no show and no call. 'We will be right there.' They LITERALLY, NEVER SHOWED UP AND NEVER CALLED, ONE TIME. COMPLETE NO SHOW. Never seen it in my life. Not even a call to state that they will no show. We literally sat around all day waiting, they completely wasted our time.

Why is there not an option for 0 stars? This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with and that is saying A LOT.
