When a storm caused my basement to flood, I was in a critical situation. The current sump pump stopped functioning. I started manually bailing the water and called the plumbing company, which I had previously used. When the technician Harold arrived that afternoon, the manager Roy was able to arrange an appointment. Last time, Harold was in this area. He set up a pump and started pumping the water out with great professionalism. He installed a new, significantly more potent pump to replace the malfunctioning one. By late afternoon, the basement had been as thoroughly pumped out as it could be. The following day, Harold arrived to install a backup sump pump powered by batteries in case the primary sump pump breaks down. I feel safer now in the event of another storm. Harold also assisted me in restarting the broken gas hot water heater.

This firm was recommended by our building manager and after several attempts to stop by and see what the scope of work they finally came on October 6th and walked the job with the building manager. We set up to do the work Thursday October 15th. They were supposed to send an estimate and proceed with the work as the building scheduled a water shutdown. I call Monday, for the estimate and to confirm the job on Thursday. I was told that the estimate was not ready but the job was still scheduled. Called Tuesday you will have the estimate tomorrow and nothing. I call back Wednesday after not receiving the estimate and was told that they decided not to do the work after wasting two weeks of NYC construction time which is an eternity I not have to start from the beginning. The lack of professionalism and the lack of follow-up is beyond comprehension.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE AS THESE GUYS ARE A JOKE.

Came quickly, inspected and diagnosed the problem almost immediately, gave a reasonable quote, and got right to work. What more can I ask for? Will be calling them again next time something breaks. I’ve been going to the Eastside Quality Cleaners to get my clothes tailored for years, ever since I moved to East Village. The shop’s kind seamstress does a GREAT job tailoring my cloths - she’s meticulous, skilled w/ quick turnarounds - AND at a rate that is way below market. Over the years, she’s probably altered 30 pieces for me, ranging from $5 to $30 (when my wedding dress needed alterations done on the bottom- normally it’d be $200). I’m so glad I’ve found this place!
