Do It Right Plumbing Sewer & Services, LLC Plumber
I called for services to replace a bathtub faucet. He was very friendly and willing to come in the same day. He advised me of the $89.99 estimate fee but also told me if I'd hired him to do the job, that would be deducted from the total cost. He was very honest and of course he did the job and I must add, he did great job. I can see how it is hard to pay for estimate, but he took the time to come all the way to my home to check what it was wrong with my faucet and it seems fair that if I just wasted his time then to pay him for coming. If you ARE serious about hiring this company's services, then you should not have any issues with the estimate's fee. It is all reimbursable once you hire them. I highly recommend them. Trust worthy, conscious and honest.

Minneapolis & Suburban Sewer Plumber
Having an unnatural spring – bubbling up in your front yard and flooding into the street – is not a good way to start the day. It turned out that our water line from the street into the house had broke and, according to a city Water Dept employee who came out, we needed a new line.

Out of the seven companies I contacted, only two returned my emails or phone call. Ron from Minneapolis & Suburban Sewer & Water was one of them (and certainly the nicest and most generous).

Ron came out to my house to assess, educate, and advise. I could immediately tell that he was full of integrity and genuinely interested in me getting the best time line and solution to my major water issue … even if that meant me selecting a competitor. He walked me through my options – clearly laying out pros and cons within the context of my needs, which he actually inquired about – and didn’t make any promises he couldn’t keep.

Up until his crew did the work, Ron was in constant contact with me. The crew hit some unexpected challenges while doing the work and, just like Ron, were patient in holding my hand through the options. It’s clear that everyone associated with Minneapolis & Suburban Sewer & Water knows the best practices of managing water and understands the long-term implications of any decision.

I was impressed with the speed and quality of their work. And if you like dealing with people who know customer service – and can even make a typically stressful situation fun – Ron, his brother Kevin, and the rest of the Minneapolis & Suburban Sewer & Water gang are the best option for what they do in the whole Twin Cities metro area.

RightMark Plumbing Plumber
My first interactions with RightMark were positive. Mark took the time to talk us through a whole list of minor issues that were flagged in our home inspection. When he let us know his pricey hourly rate, we pared down our list significantly to the red-flagged items only. By then, however, we'd shown our cards as naive first-time homeowners.

When Mark's plumber arrived, he didn't have the updated pared down list, so we had to pay for the time it took to explain the updated list. When the plumber took off the toilet to change the wax ring, he told us our toilet was beyond repair and asked us whether we wanted to buy a new toilet then and there. We had to take him at his word, and we really had no choice but to say yes because we only have one bathroom and we don't have a car.

We ended up having to pay for the plumber's time to pick up the toilet plus the marked-up price on the toilet plus time to retrieve a different seat because he picked up the wrong one the first time around. We also had to pay for the time it took for the plumber to find out from Mark how much the toilet would cost. Mark was in a meeting when the plumber first called, so we had to pay for the plumber to wait for Mark's response. And the plumber wasn't clear in the quote that he gave for the toilet whether it was for parts or parts and labor. I misunderstood that the quote was for parts and labor.

In the end, to replace the wax ring and the toilet, dispose of the old toilet, and to have one pipe connection manually tightened and one gas pipe capped, we paid a whopping $851.

RightMark doesn't provide a fairly priced service.
