I had a rotary plug issue with a bath tub, and had Parker and Sons out to give me an estimate to fix it. The technician told me it needed to be replaced and quoted me $900 for labor without parts included. I told him no thanks and called another company for a second opinion. Their plumber came in and showed that a screw had fallen out of the handle, which I was able to get at a hardware store for $2 and replace myself.I don't know if Parker and Sons' technician didn't know what he was looking at, or if I being intentionally scammed, but either way, I'm grateful I didn't spend $1000 replacing a plug system that needed a $2 repair.
