We probably won't use Zaarly again. We booked Dick Ray's Plumbing through Zaarly, partially due to feeling comforted by their guarantee. We were unexpectedly charged $2k more for a job than expected ($10k total), weren't giving any options when this happened and were supposed to pay the day the job was finished through Zaarly (before being given the final invoice) when we didn't agree with the resolution. Our driveway was left in way worse condition than before Dick Ray's team arrived to replace our septic line. Our driveway issues were never resolved. We submitted a claim through Zaarly who said they had a home inspector review this and believed Dick Ray handled the situation according to industry standards.

I'm irritated. I maintain my HVAC system twice a year religiously. LBA installed my system 17 years ago, and it has worked and been maintained twice a year. At my most recent maintenance check in mid-December 2022, I was told that the heat exchanger was beginning to rust, and I was shown a photo of a very few patches of rust. While I was also told that there was no immediate danger, I was encouraged to think about replacing the system. And to encourage me further, the technician told me prices were going up 30 to 60% at the first of the year. That price increase amount seemed unlikely, given that inflation is only at 7% - but it did get my attention. And if created fear.For the record, I did get three bids on a new system, and one came from LBA. LBA's bid was several thousand dollars higher than the others. I'm writing today because my new system is being installed - not by LBA. The installing technician pointed out to me that there is literally no rust at all in the old heat exchanger. I feel like I was lied to in order to make a sale.Granted, I realize that 17 years is a long life for a modern HVAC, but I feel like HVAC companies in general take advantage of customers' ignorance by upcharging and/or using scare tactics. Since LBA is not installing my new system, and since I feel like I was mistreated, future maintenance will be done by another company - so someone else will have the opportunity to mistreat a customer.

I would definitely recommend Mr Handyman of Nkc... Communication was excellent. I had a vanity top replaced and the installer did a great job. I would definitely use them again
