Best New Additions in Kansas City MO
John and his crew replaced a waterline for me. I had multiple plumbers out to bid the job and they were either insanely high our they would bid and then stop returning my calls or in one case just not show up after scheduling the repairs. John and his people were a huge relief. They were super responsive, they got the job done and all within a few days of the bid. I was very satisfied and will always use them from now on.

They were quick, professional and I would highly recommend them

I would not recommend Affordable Plumbing and Sewer, LLC, to anyone. We called several plumbers to get a quote and only one place was available for the next month or two. Since going through what we did with the owner, I now see why they were the only plumbing company available. Absolutely terrible ownership/management and business practices. The owner, Rick Ramsey, has the most condescending, arrogant, unprofessional, and harassing behavior that I have EVER experienced from a company. Please read his negative reviews. They are the same exact story as ours. I wish I would have read them before ever agreeing to them coming out.
We called them out to fix a WATER PRESSURE issue with our outside spigot. They showed up, stated they would check the o-ring in the spigot. That was NOT the issue, so they replaced a 6-inch pipe leading from the house to the outside spigot and also replaced the spigot. They said they were done with the job, but we turned on the hose only to find out that the pressure issue was NOT fixed whatsoever. The employees (2) called their boss, Rick Ramsey, to find out what the issue could be. He proceeded to tell his employees to collect $375 from us and then he would come out at a later time and see what was going on since this was a “special issue.” For one, is water pressure a “special issue” for a plumber? That’s like saying an stiff neck is a special issue for a chiropractor.
After Rick Ramsey continued to bully his employee to tell me to “pay or else”—I got involved and said I would not be paying $375 for the issue not being fixed—that I would happily pay once the work was completed. He was yelling on the phone, not listening to me speak whatsoever as the customer, speaking over me and his employee. He would constantly hang up on us. All we wanted was for our water pressure to be fixed, which is the ONLY reason we called a plumber. If changing the spigot and pipe would have fixed the water pressure, I would have happily paid. Rick Ramsey then called back (several times) and kept telling his employee to remove the pipe and faucet from my home and leave. Keep in mind, my pipe and faucet (which were just fine before calling this terrible company) were completely destroyed when being replaced, so now I have no spigot, no pipe leading out of the house, and some jerk owner harassing us. The employee (embarrassingly) told us that he had to remove the parts and apologized profusely. He was completely embarrassed by his boss's actions. Rick Ramsey, continued to call his employee several times and continued to harassed us about taking the parts off the home because we wouldn’t pay $375 until he came out and fixed the issue. He then proceeded to call my husband’s phone several times, yelling about how he doesn’t trust any of his customers and has 97K in pending lawsuits because of people not paying (I have yet to find anything from the Courts on that). We even offered to pay half now and the other half after he came out and fixed our water pressure issue. He HUNG UP ON MY HUSBAND 4 different times—even after we stated we no longer wanted to work with him, but he kept calling. After the 5th and final call from Rick Ramsey to my husband, he stated that we needed to pay before he would come out. My husband told him again that our business would be going elsewhere—especially since he removed 2 parts from our home that were never the issue because he threw a fit and because he was so unprofessional and disrespectful to not only us, but his 2 employees. My husband said he appreciated the call and that there was no reason to call our phone again as our business transaction was complete. He hung up AGAIN on my husband.
If you want an honest, reliable, and respectful plumber, I suggest you go somewhere other than Affordable Plumbing & Sewer, LLC, owned by Rick Ramsey. What an absolute nightmare it was dealing with him. I have no idea how he’s still in business.
