We made our regular spring maintenance appointment for a 2pm-4pm window with Elite HVAC. Once again, they called us before noon and asked if it would be alright if they came early. We agreed, but we would appreciate on time appointments in the future. Everyone we spoke with is courteous and professional. Technician Joey did a very thorough, excellent job on the spring maintenance and also replaced a capacitor that was failing. All-in-all, a positive experience, we just wish they would stick to the appointment window.3/17/22We made an appointment for our annual A/C maintenance for 11a-1p on Wednesday 3/16/22. Once again, I received a phone call TWO HOURS BEFORE our scheduled appointment time from their scheduling personnel asking if they could come over now. Why do the schedulers bother to make appointments that they refuse to keep? I guess they could not fill up all the time slots with appointments on the days that I book and they don't want their technicians sitting around doing nothing. It is getting ridiculous though. The customer's preference does not matter to them. They need to realize that in a city like Las Vegas, not everyone works from 9a-5p and sleeps from 11a-7a. Some of us work odd hours. Getting a wake up call at 9am after only 4 hours sleep did NOT please me. The technician, Nathan, did a good job and was courteous and professional though. My problem is with the employees who do the scheduling and/or the person who is in charge of those personnel and the inconsiderate policies to which they make their schedulers adhere.

(Not) Ideal Services IS THE WORST! I would give them minus 5 stars if I could. Unfortunately for us, our home warranty company (First American who are horrible as well) contracted with Ideal so we were stuck with them. If your home warranty company sends them - do yourself a favor and request a different contractor. We had an issue with a water heater replacement and it was a nightmare. They installed a cheaper, inferior model (not the model that was ordered for us by our home warranty company), they removed our recirculation pump (which provided hot water on demand) and took it away, and they did not attach earthquake seismic straps (which are required to pass code) and bent the draft hood. The installer grossly miscommunicated with us, and their manager (dispatcher) was incredibly rude and flat out lied to me stating that earthquake restaints really aren't required, the installer didn't have the proper tools, etc. Avoid using Ideal Services at all costs. They are awful. Poor workmanship and horrible customer service. By the way, we switched home warranty companies as well. It's been our experience that First American uses bad contractors probably because they bid the cheapest. Working with First American to try to resolve my issues with Ideal was another nightmare that I never want to experience again.
