American went out of their way to give me a quote on a water heater replacement and unfortunately due to issues with my home warranty company I wasn't able to use them. They were very responsive and provided a thorough quote.

They are fairly disorganized (technician shows up to inspect the pipes but does not have a sewage camera on his truck). After another visit, yet a third visit by someone else is required to snake the pipe. That takes days to schedule and is then rescheduled the day before. But in the end, they got the job done well and fairly cost effective. And most importantly, they are certainly not one of the plumbing companies who try to scam you with unnecessary repairs (I had my fair share of those).
