Prompt, knew what to do, and fixed the problem. I'd give 5 🌟 rating!

They came out when they said they would and completed the work.
Bad thing is they don't give any estimate prior, but charge a trip fee. It's waived if they do the work, but they are grossly expensive.

We moved into a new house and immediately found that we had a plumbing issue. Our basement flooded and everything backed up.

I called Zins, as I had used them before in a previous house. John came out and I was surprised to find that he was familiar with the house, as he had installed our sump pump for the previous owner.

John knew almost immediately what the issue was and went to work. In a short time he had a ton of roots taken out of the main pipe.

I've never had anything but good luck with Zins. An amazing and HONEST company. I'll use them again in the future for sure!

Wish we could've had Zins come first! Ron is the nicest guy. Knowledgeable of the city. Had our problem fixed in minutes, while our warranty company's plumber spent almost 3 hours, and left us with a bigger problem than when started. He insisted he cleaned the mess, and treated us with respect. Will always recommend Zins!!

We have used Zins before, and been satisfied, but on Monday or Tuesday of this week we scheduled them to give us an estimate. (Note that estimates are not free. We were paying for their estimate.) They scheduled to come to our house at 8:30 in the morning on Saturday. Come Saturday morning at 8:20, I got a call asking if we still wanted the estimate. That's weird, but I said yes, we still wanted the estimate. The person on the phone said they'd call when the plumber was on the way, but she didn't know when that would be. Flash-forward to about 11am, and we're ready to start our day. We called and had to cancel. No apologies, no anything - just short responses over the phone. We were looking to book a couple thousand dollars worth of work (install a tankless water heater, a toilet, a gas line to a fireplace, and more, etc.). I feel like we deserved better than the treatment we got.

Don't waste your time or sanity by calling someone else. If you have a problem that needs fixed urgently, they will make sure it gets done. Holly got Mike out to my house the same afternoon, he diagnosed the issue and wrote me a fair estimate (only 10k less than another advertised co.)! Mike showed up before 8 and problem was fixed by 11. Duke inspector asked me who did it as he was impressed. No problems just solutions. And to top that off Holly just called to asked if everything is OK.

I have renovating properties for 11 years. There are about 5 companies or people I actually trust whom I contract with for repairs. Zins is one of them. They always show up when they say they will. They always fix everything. They are worth their costs. They come back out and make things right if something else happens which it never does.

It is more important that your contractors do what they say and can be relied on to make things right than it is to be the cheapest guy out of 1000. I cannot emphasize enough how much better it is to work with companies whom you know exactly what you are getting. Variable costs, no shows. delays, etc. kill my business. Zins only helps it.

They told me over the phone that they charge $35 for estimation but then when they sent the plumber, they charged us $140 for the estimation!
I was outside home at the time when the plumber came for estimation, and my wife paid the $140 due to the aggressive bullying attitude of the plumber sent!

We complained over the phone, and at this moment, they just told us that they will refund the $140! I'll wait to see if they'll do that and then I'll update my review!

Tom did a great job servicing 3 different plumbing issues. He was quick and thorough and the prices were completely fair!

After moving into a new house, we immediately had several plumbing issues. Zin's came recommended to me by my real estate agent (one of the best in the city, so I definitely trust her recommendations for stuff like this). So far I have been dealing with Mike on site and Holly over the phone... Both have been incredibly delightful, knowledgeable, and helpful in getting my situation figured out. I had taken a while to follow up on some things, but Mike took a moment out of his own day to check up on me and see if there was anything else I needed for them to do, or if I needed any other support with my issues... I feel like follow-up calls like this are almost non-existent these days and I really appreciated the detailed service. Will be calling them again in the future for sure.

Dear Zin’s Plumbing

On July 10th I had an appointment with your company for a clogged outside drain that ran under my driveway. I thought for sure there was a break in the pipe and was told by two other plumbers that, yes, it was indeed a break. They ran cameras and did “snaking” and confirmed their findings.

John Segrist came to my house, ran the camera and said he thought there was just a bad clog of roots and that running the slake and clearing the roots would do the trick.

And he was right!!! John worked and worked to clear the drain and ran the camera several times to make sure the roots were gone and added RootX. He told me to do the same and then have him back every spring to keep the roots out. What an amazing man. Being a woman alone I appreciate more than you can imagine an honest service person.

I just wanted you to know what a great employee you have in John Segrist. He turned what I anticipated would be a bad day into a really good one.

I called last week around a Tuesday looking to get a quote to do the rough plumbing for a bathroom I am putting in. The lady who took my number and said someone would be calling me back was extremely friendly. I didn't hear anything back so I called back on Friday to see if someone was going to come out and quote the plumbing work I was going to do. The reception apologized that no one has contacted me and texted my contact info the person who said they were going to come out and quote the work and they will be there Monday and will get ahold of me. They apologized because they were busy and I get it because we have been having a bunch of rain and cold weather during this time. Monday came and I didn't get a call back for someone to come and quote the work. I gave this review two stars because the reception was friendly. Reduction in stars due to lack of quote and unresponsive to potential work.

Great service had a couple of plumbing issues that needed fixed.

We had a 12 unit apartment building that needed all new gas piping. Kevin at Zins Plumbing came out within one hour to give us a quote and an estimate on when the job would be done. Once I confirmed, Zins showed up exactly when they said and did the massive job exactly as specified. I will definitely call them again for projects big or small.

Ron Zins is the closest thing to Sherlock Holmes that there is in the plumbing trade.

Very impressed with everyone from Hollie in the office, Jim who came out initially & told us what they needed to do & Kevin & Wyatt who arrived on time & got the work done in record time. Everyone was kind, professional, and knowledgeable and we will definitely call them again if needed.

We have worked with Zin’s plumbing many times over the years, but after our recent experience we will no longer use them.
We scheduled an appointment over a week ago and were only given the day of the week they would arrive. This necessitated taking an entire day off from work to be available for them to arrive.
They texted the day before and confirmed they were coming.
They texted the morning of the appointment that they would be at the house after 12.
Then, at 12:05 they texted and said “sorry, we can’t come today.”
Totally unprofessional, and Zin’s will no longer receive our business.

I had a main drain backup in my home. They sent out Keith and he was amazing. Very pleasant and professional. He took him time to clear the line and make sure we had no more issues. He was very patient and explained how everything worked, I like to know those things. This company and Keith made the experience a great one. I would recommend them to anyone.

Called to get a quote for replacing an emergency shutoff valve that was incorrectly installed when before I purchased my home. When I called, Hollie was courteous and professional in getting me an accurate quote for service, and she had my plumber Ed out within a few days. Repair took just a few minutes, and final price even was lower than the original quoted cost.

I have an 80 year old house. While other plumbers turned me away, Zins fixed everything.

Mike and Dylan were very professional and knowledgeable. They not only identified and solved problems but they explained exactly what was involved. They did not try to sell anything I did not really need. I will be using Zins for my plumbing needs in the future. Mike and Dylan were the best!

We were once very pleased with Zin’s as we had one plumber out to our house last year who was very knowledgeable and friendly.

However, that was not the case this time. Unfortunately we were out of the country when our backed up system occurred and called them. They fit us in the schedule but in talking to the plumber in the short time I had before I had to board another flight he was very rude and unable to effectively communicate the problem. I then called the office as I did not have his phone number in an attempt to understand what was going on. I then called him back and he said all was fixed for now but arriving home water was coming out of the stack pipe when the toilet he said we could use was flushed. So we paid $350 to have nothing done except for saying I think there are roots in your pipes.

As time went on, he was frustrated that I called the office. Our sitter then told us he began badmouthing us in front of our children. This I find very unprofessional.

Very disappointed as I loved our last plumber Ed from Zins, but this current one makes me very wary to use Zins again.

Zins Plumbing was a pleasure to work with. They were extremely professional, courteous and timely. Their estimate of the work to be done was accurate with no hidden surprises and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends and will certainly call Zins Plumbing for any future needs.

In an age of overpriced incompetence... they're a breath of fresh air. I will be calling them for ALL things plumbing related.

My mom had Zins plumbing out to her house over the holidays to fix a backed up drain. It was great they could come out and resolve the issue within one day, in the holiday season. They stayed for hours until the problem was resolved. They also cleaned up and sanitized the area, which she appreciated. We are grateful for their services.

Was almost hit on the highway by one of their drivers. Signaled to get over and started to move over and their driver sped up blowing the horn at us and then got over in front of us. So unprofessional. Wouldn’t want to hire them with people like the bearded driver who almost hit us.

Started out with a misunderstanding and Zins made it all good. Finished installing the perfect water heater today. I love it. 5 stars for customer service, product and skilled plumbers.

Sewer back up over the weekend cause by tree roots. I called on Monday morning and was able to get help by noon. Everyone was friendly and professional. I would absolutely use Zins again for any plumbing concerns.

Needed replacement of our cast iron waste line, got a very high quote from one plumber, had Zins quote the job and the quote came in much lower. Zins came out and completed the job and, incredibly enough, only charged me a little more than half of the original quote. Uh, guess who I will call for any future plumbing issues...Zins!

Do not use this company. They may do ok work, but the charges are not discussed upfront or are they possible to estimate. We used them and then referred family members to them. They charged them over 1000 to install a toilet a small vanity. They were in and out of the house in 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Let's set the scene. In the trials and tribulations of everyday life, working hard to put food on the table and keeping a roof over our head, an unfortunate appliance decides to breath its last breath. Our gas dryer from the 90's says good bye. Making the tough, and unplanned, decision to purchase a new dryer, I head on down to our local big box retailer. We'll call it Blowe's. I shop the selection of available dryers and decide to go ahead with a modest Whirlpool dryer. Purchasing was a breeze. Scheduled delivery AND installation for two days later. Process felt simple and efficient (hint this is foreshadowing that we're gonna hit some roadblocks).

I knew going into this adventure that the trick would be getting it down into our narrow basement corridor. Dad and I were able to get a washer through the narrow passage a year earlier, so I knew it was possible. The day comes. The dryer arrives. Blowes' independent contractors get the dryer to the top of the basement steps. Try to walk it down. SMH, as the kids say. Doesn't work. They then proceed to say they cannot finish the delivery due to liability; either I refuse the dryer and they take it back or I can do it myself. BLIND RAGE ENSUES....Told them to leave it.

My sweet mother (54!), bless her heart, comes over to assist in getting the dryer into the basement. Put it on the dolly. Lower it down into the corridor and roll into the basement. Took 2 minutes. One step closer to the finish line.

With my head slightly more clear, I got to solving the problem of hooking up the gas dryer. Gas is something I leave to the professionals (and dairy). I recall in our local area seeing the large Zins sign and hearing wonderful things about their service. I reach out. Hollie answered... BOOM. Yes, they do gas hookups. BOOM. Yes, they can be at my home today. Technician Kevin arrived a few hours later, he was professional and personable, hooked up the machine and made sure the dryer was level! I couldn't ask for a better service. A tale as old as time: the small business fixes Blowe's issue (or something like that). It was a day wrought with anger and disappointment only to be saved by Zins Plumbing.

In all seriousness (if you've made it this far), the professionalism and service were top notch. Kevin and Hollie made my day. Bottom Line: Zins Plumbing will be my first call for all my plumbing issues, and they should be yours too.

Zins installed my water heater and did some other pipe repairs. I was wondering if I had unnecessary work done, until, the Butler County Health Inspector came today to ensure our water heater was up to standard. The inspector raved on and on about Zins. Said that they are the best company in the Tri State. I posted this info on my facebook. I moved here from California 8 years ago and God has blessed our family ever since, including our chance run in with Zins. Will be using them and only them from now on for any plumbing needs.

The entire team at Zins Plumbing did a great job fixing a sewer line that was broken underneath my property. They came out in a timely fashion and were fairly priced.

Zins is fantastic and the only plumber we allow to touch our home. They know older homes and are responsive and reasonably priced. Tom got our only tub draining after we tried for an entire day. Thank you Zins and Tom.

I left three messages to get some questions answered and to schedule a follow-up appointment on a $1,000+ plumbing job and never got a return call.

We noticed water coming up from our basement drains about half an hour before our daughter's birthday on a Saturday. I called Zins and Ron the owner was at our house within half an hour to clear the clogged drain pipe. When he found that the clog was in the city easement, he contacted the city and waited until they arrived so he could talk directly to them about what they needed to do to repair the offset pipe. Thank you so much Ron!

I had to replace my stack leading from my second story bathroom, the project was estimated to last 3-3-1/2 days. The project was completed in 3. Every person I spoke to at Zin's was professional, competent and an absolute pleasure to work with. I am most certainly a life long customer now.

I'm a little late in writing this review. Ron Zin came to our house just before the Christmas Eve blizzard and diagnosed a broken sewer line that was causing severe sewage odor in the house. Even with several other pressing calls for broken pipes, etc., he was able to spend an hour diagnosing the problem so that a repair could be planned once the temperature rose. We had a little back & forth on getting the follow-up scheduled, and the 1st day the ground thawed they sent a crew of 4 to get it corrected in half a day. The basement has been great ever since and the price was as agreed. The crew was extremely professional & courteous, cleaned up better than almost all other contractors who've been to our house, and were more than willing to answer all of my questions during the whole process. I really appreciate the great work and responsiveness during tough time.

I have to say after the experience I had with Zin’s plumbing Friday, I am nothing short of DISAPPOINTED. My husband and I have been dealing with a very slow laundry drain and kitchen drain for quite some time. A few days ago, we decided to investigate the sewer vents on the roof after smelling sewer gas in the laundry tray and seeing air bubbles. Sure enough the drain vent on the roof directly above the laundry tray was clogged. We tried to clear it ourselves to no avail. It was time to call a plumber. On recommendations and reviews, I called Zins and explained to the receptionist the problem and specifically mentioned that the plumber would have to go on the roof (it had snowed a couple days before and I even said that we could wait till snow melted a day later). When the plumber arrived, he said that they didn’t go on roofs that it was company policy, a liability issue. He thought that he may be able to fix the problem without going on the roof. So instead of auguring the vent that was causing problems, he augured the kitchen sink vent, which was on the edge, so that he wouldn’t have to get on the roof. Long story short, $200 later, it didn’t fix the problem. The plumber insisted that the problem was under our slab and he couldn’t do any more. He was very nice, and very well may be right, but he didn’t even look at the roof vent that we knew to be blocked. Ultimately, when I called the receptionist should have told me that their plumbers did not go on roofs because I specifically said that was what I needed. If their plumber would have just made an attempt to inspect the pipe that was causing the problem, I would have felt better about spending $200 and not resolving the issue, but the fact that he and the receptionist did not listen to my request (which was to have roof vent over laundry tray drain looked at) and sent someone anyway was disappointing and wrong. I would not call them again. They didn’t listen.

KUDOS to Ron Zin. Ron, the owner and head plumber came to my house on a Saturday, at literally a moment's notice, and resolved a difficult sewer clean-out challange that I had had been struggling to fix myself for hours, with a rented auger (it's a stinky job). Ron knew just what to do, and got it fixed within 30-40 minutes. Not only is Ron a resposive and highly skilled plumber, he's a super nice and friendly guy. He even helped me move my rental equipment back upstairs to my car, then he threw in a free canister of emzyme treatment to prevent the blockage problem from happening again. THANK YOU RON ZIN: I love the way you do business!

We have used Zins many times, at multiple homes, for many different things....from just a basic fix to a complete stormwater sewer line replacement that involved a lot of digging and jackhammering. All the plumbers have been timely, courteous, expedient, clean, fairly and competitively priced, professional and most importantly they know what they’re doing. Our entire family uses their services and we’re all thoroughly pleased. Thanks for coming out today, thanks for all the times over the past 10 or 15 years, and we’ll look forward to having them back....just hopefully no time soon!!!

During my basement project, Zins was awesome rerouting my basement bathroom plumbing; concrete floor demolition, new pipes for shower and vanity, and installation of a 150 pound shower pan. And, I was charged $1,000 LESS than the original e$timate. What companies would do that - lower the price I was prepared to pay on a more-than-fair estimate. Zins will get all of my future projects.

Their prices are higher than national average according to Google and way higher than what I used to pay in Wisconsin, but the job was done right.

The 1st 2 plumber s that were sent out were very professional. That 3rd one I had an arguement bc he tried to insinuate that I was clogging my drains on purpose. He also made a comment t in regards to greese being j the drain. I told him 1st of all I throw my greese out. 2nd presently I cannot cook. He said why, bc u dont, I said no mf its bc I'm handicapped Nd I have limited us of my hands and arms. . What the hell!!

Do not call for emergencies, we were told upon calling Zins does not have the capacity to assist in these types of situations. Jerry

Great experience with David from Zin’s. I had them over to dig up my basement and install a cleanout based on what 2 other plumbers recommended. David thought it was un necessry and was able to jet it for 25% of the original cost! Gotta love saving money! Thanks Zin’s and eapecially David!

Zins repaired an old stack that had cracked and created a leak throughout my kitchen and basement. Kevin and Kevin were both extremely helpful and responsive, and actually completed the job in half the time (and cost) that had been originally quoted. I would highly recommend their services.

Its hard to trust contractors with so many big name companies trying to get rich on homeowners. Zins has earned our trust. They are willing to quote approaches that other companies won't to fix our 120 year old home plumbing woes and have consistently executed at it below budget. Good, trustworthy and talented people.

I really appreciated the professional, informational interaction I had with my plumber. He provided several options and provided estimates on future work. In what was a bad homeowner situation I had a good outcome. I will continue to use Zins for all mu pluming needs.

I contacted Zins to see if they serviced in my area, unfortunately they did not. But instead of that being the end of the phone call, they recommended a company in my area. I was able to have my plumbing issue resolved within three hours! I definitely will recommend them to friends and family for their great customer service alone.

After calling Another company who tried to charge me $90 for an outrageous estimate claiming it would be a 4 hour job. I called Zins. Their price was a third of the others, they were honest about cost of materials and there were no additional fees. Kevin hooked up my gas stove in about an hour and was professional about my mess of a situation. I will definitely use Zins for all my future plumbing.
