Tony came within an hour of our phone call, and quickly determined that our slow drain was due to clogging in the pipe from our house to the street. Our old plumbing and palmer valve didn't allow him to access it for snaking out, so he recommended a company to update our access, Ihn out of Pewaukee. They were great; came the next business day, even reset our toilet within the quoted price. Called Roto Rooter back to snake out the pipe to the street; Tony came back a couple of hours later, completed the process (finding all sorts of clogging materials) and leaving it running smoothly. All this happened on a Friday and a Monday. I'm so impressed with Roto Rooter's service and professionalism. Tony is a gem!

Tony was great! I came home to water in our basement due to our toilets and he worked so hard to fix it! He was respectful and cleaned up and did an amazing job. We were very pleased!!

The technician (Rich)was at my home within two hours. He didnt waste any time and had the drain cleaned out very quickly.I was very impressed that he took the time to discuss the possible causes and that he checked to make sure that nothing was leaking and that he left the area clean.

Floor drain had backed up. Called them Sunday night requesting service for Monday morning.They called me promptly Monday AM. Tech (Nick) was here shortly after 8AM. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He got right to work & cleared clog in our main drain line. I have nothing bad to say. They arrived 2 hours after I called. He was quick and professional, in and out in under 30 minutes. Not cheap but not expensive, I obviously was unable to clear my basement drain alone.

Called for water in the basement, and they told me that I needed a plumber.... really?

I called and spoke with their agent on Saturday morning. I was quoted a price of $225.00 and 125.00 every hour after that, but the weekend rate is $525.00. I decided to Wait until Monday, so I had them call on that day. I spoke with a different person he quoted me $295.00 for the first hour and 125.00 every hour afterwards. The Job was just over an hour I was charged $400.00! I couldn't believe it! The drain was unclothed but I felt like there was a bit of price gouging. We are still in a pandemic and times are tough for everyone. I expected better from this company. I take full responsibility for selecting this organization however, I extend a cautionary to anyone who would use this service in that you can get the same results for less money. Please shop around. 🙏🏾

Called basement flooded came out could not open clog made it worse charged hundreds of dollars for nothing. We went and rented a larger snake had it open and water drained to crock on 1st try. Will never call them again.

After the first service call, my drain started backing up again. I called Roto-Rooter and they sent someone back to snake the drain again. They didn’t charge me for the second visit and so far so good. Very responsive and willing to get the job done!

We were having an issue with tree roots in our sanitary line to the road, as well as some cast iron pipe issues that resulted in a blockage further up the line. The service we received was prompt and professional.
Our service tech was Andrew, he did a great job communicating with us and was a delight to have in our home. There was another guy who came along to look into our other issue I presume was a certified plumber. I think his name was Rich, he was very brisk and borderline rude to my wife. He didn't seem very interested in being at our home longer than necessary, or even camera inspecting our line as we had requested.
All in all I would have Roto Rooter come out again. They resolved our issues, were prompt, and came in at a reasonable price. Thank you for getting our house back to working order.

Definitely came through in a pinch! Im not really excited about emergency calls on a Sunday, but it needed to be done. My tech Daniel was at my house within 2 hours and we had some major blockage in our drain out to the street. Daniel was polite and professional explaining the process to my son who was curious lol. My only area to ask improvement is going easier on the staircase with that large machine. It was a bit harsh going up and down. Otherwise, everything went great and the clog was fixed! $600 later haha…

This company wanted to charge me more than $400 dollars, I called ABC sewer and they charged me $149 for everything

I called and explained that I needed my roof drain cleaned. I said I was going to drain the roof and the person on the phone told me not to drain it. The guys showed up and said they couldn't do anything because of the water on the roof. I called back after I had it cleaned and the line opened and the price doubled. 1000.00. Then they called me and I asked for a discount since I was told not to drain the roof and we could have had the job done yesterday. The manager said I am not interested in that I said not interested in what and he told me they won't come out and I have to find a new company and he hung up on me.
If you would like to use a plumber do not use roto rooter West allis. They are rude and will not come to the job.

We called the company on Saturday and they told me that minimum 1 hours for weekend is $695 we agreed on the price and they sent my information to technician and they came to fix the problem, it was fixed less than 20 minute which was good. But they charged me $1390 for minimum 2 hours that’s what technician is telling once the job completed. Well thank you for rip off the loyal customers. I will not recommend this company at all.

We were charged over $600 to unclog a toilet. When we called to dispute the time and effort spent (as it was double the amount of charges from other services in the area we had previously used for the same issue), they did not return the call with an explanation and we waited months--still just receiving the same invoice. Instead, they sent the account to a lawyer and small claims court! At which point, we called again to attempt to resolve it in an amenable fashion of paying for the value of the service provided. Instead of attempting to resolve it, they simply had the lawyer return the call. The lawyer indicated that the only choices were pay the amount (now nearly $900 due to their expense of engaging a lawyer) or take time off and come to court. I would definitely recommend calling a different plumber who is cheaper, rational and is willing to discuss why they were less effective than their competitors at resolving a problem so they can simply charge for more hours.Good businesses encourage client discussions when their services fall short so they can address them, as opposed to refusing to resolve or even explain them and proceeding to engage a lawyer.

Our sump pump failed and our water was filling with basement. I called roto rooter for their “24/7” emergency service and was told that they only do “residential” emergency until 8 PM and commercial emergency, in the incredibly unhelpful representative’s words “uh, yeah I’m not sure what time they do that until.”

Came out quickly and assessed the issue. They were honest about their ability to perform the work and recommend another company to fix my problem.

They were on time, professional and courteous.it took two employees to do the work and get their big piece of equipment into a tight spot where the sewer drain is located in our home. But they did it and got the job done within an hour. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Call someone else if you need emergency services ASAP. they do not have 24/7 emergency service as advertised on their website.

The website states they are always fast and dependable and guarantee working pipes any time -- the exact opposite of what happened for me. I would recommend looking at another company if you need a drain cleaning service. I called for emergency services which was $550/hour. They were unable to provide any time frame for arrival and I ended up waiting about 8 hours. They left without fixing anything only looked at half of what was needed to determine the issue and fix the problem. I called another company the next day who fixed the issue by looking at the the of half of what needed to be assessed to identify the issue. I called the supervisor to express my concerns and only received half of my money back. I waited 8 hours for emergency services, paid $225 without a result, and then paid another company to fix the issue.

Came within the hour that I called. Was professional and hard working. Showed me what the problem was and what had to be done to fix the problem.

The guys who jetted my sewer were very nice/professional and they cleared my clog quickly. The only complaint I have is the pricing. $525 for pressurized water?!

I called first thing Monday morning after the Thanksgiving Holiday. From the moment I called and talked to Mikey, I was assured that they would fix the problem. The customer service I received from the moment I called to the time they left my house was top notch. I would 100% recommend. Rich the technician was to my house and fixed the problem by 10 AM. A special thank you to both Mikey and Rich for making this such an easy fix.

The service technicians were great. Very professional and uber competent. I had a clogged main line that can only be accessed from my crawl space and he and his partner not only cleared the line, but fixed 2 clean out covers, one of which I didn't know had rotted away to nothing. My house is not only reclaimed but made significantly better. I am a very happy customer and these guys are a credit to your company.

Called for an emergency. Talked to three separate people on their call service over a span of two hours. Technician still hasn’t called, yet their call service indicates he should be calling “any minute”. What a waste of time!

I called on a Sunday with back up issues into my basement sanitary tub. Received a call back before 8am Monday morning. They had a tech (Will) out here by 8:30am. Knowledgeable and professional. Prices seemed reasonable.

We called them after having drainage issues and sewage coming up into the basement on a Saturday late afternoon. The dispatch told us it would be 525 for the first hour and 250 every hour afterwards. Reluctantly we agreed and were told a service tech would call us for address details. The service tech called after a few minutes and said it would be 750 to come out for the first hour. I told him the numbers dispatch gave us and he said it was wrong they are not supposed to give out the quotes. We stood our ground at 525 he was reluctant to come. Finally he did after a few more minutes of trying for the 750. He was in and out in 30 minutes and the blockage was removed. He left all the blockage in a pile on our basement floor. No cleanup whatsoever. Based on this experience I would not recommend after-hours use.

I have a 100 year old home in Wauwatosa near the village. I've had Roto Rooter out on a number of occasions since 1985 to clear our backed up sewer drain. They've done a great job every time. Most recently they ran into a particularly stubborn clogged drain situation that required more specialized equipment than usual. But they got it done apprising me of the situation all along the way, working with me for a successful outcome amicable to us both. There's no one else I would consider for this type of job.

Someone from roto rooter was here within an hour. The person cleaned out the tree roots, clogging the main drain, and it works great now.

We had a Floor Drain in the basement back up with water and called into Roter Rooter. We opted not to have them come out right away to avoid any possible emergency charges. They called us the very next day at 7am to set up an appointment for that day between 8-930am. They called when they were on their way and arrived well within the time frame. The technician (William) was very friendly and knowledgeable of the situation at hand. The problem was resolved in a timely fashion and in a very professional manor. I plan on having them out once a year or two to make sure the lines are clean and this doesn't happen again. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a similar issue.

Requested to have my plumbing vent cleared from the roof. The crew, John and Will, came out on time and were very professional. I appreciate their help and would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone.

I had an extremely clogged floor drain and already had a different plumbing company come in to fix but to no avail after almost 2 hours. That company recommended Roto-Rooter.

Kent from Roto-Rooter was very professional and honest. He was at the house for almost 2 hours and had to unclog in 2 different directions. He even helped me see where these severe clogs were and also how to develop a preventative maintenance schedule for the future which was much appreciated. Price was very reasonable for the severity $345

They've taken care of sewer mains at two different homes now in a timely and clean manner.

My mom called them to fix water backup in the basement. They couldn’t fix it yesterday and told her they would cone back today. At around noon today she called them and they told her a plumber would have to fix the problem. That information would have been nice to know yesterday. Now have to have a after hours plumber come to fix the problem.

They do not repair PVC pipes.

Expensive but they got the job done. I had spent the cost of several plumbing clean outs to no avail. Should've went to Roto Rooter first

Two thumbs up for customer service!! Had a service man come out to snake out the main sewer pipe in my basement that was clogged. In the process the neck to the clean out valve got chipped. Called the manager, who got hold of the owner, and they had another service man come out to look at it. They took full responsibility for the chip and covered the cost to have a plumber come out and replace a 3 ft section of the pipe with a new clean out valve. They did all of this within 1 hour after I called the manager. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

As a new homeowner, when the floor drain in the basement backs up and everything smells like sewage, you panic. My wife pulled up the number for Roto Rooter emergency line (I had no idea if it were an emergency or not), and they took my call around 6PM, by 6:10 I got a call back from the plumber letting me know he was on another job, and will be with me ASAP. By 8PM Rafael showed up, and walked out the door by 8:55PM, problem completely solved. Rafael walked me through the process, showed me the roots he was pulling out, and even gave me advice on a past toilet project! The whole process was unbelievably easy, Rafael was amazing and I can't recommend this company enough. 10/10 experience, I couldn't be happier.

I had a great experience. They didn't need to show up within an hour but they did anyways. The gentleman that arrived worked quickly, was upfront about pricing, thoroughly investigated the problem and explained where the problem was and what caused it. Going to the store and renting a machine would have been cheaper but I would have missed out on alot of things that only experience can bring.

I had to get work done over the weekend so pretty expensive. I was given the options/info for regular week day rates but based what was going on, I chose to do the weekend rates. The job was done quickly and in the same day.

Last weekend, my kitchen sink drain clogged, causing it to leak into my basement. I scheduled a plumber from another company to arrive on Monday morning. He never showed, or called to say he was late. I called another company and was told they couldn’t get to my house until Thursday.

Then, I called Roto Rooter. A very friendly young guy named Travis showed up within the hour. He diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 15 minutes. Before I knew what the problem was, I was bracing for a huge bill. The bill for this quick work was very reasonable.

If there is ever a “next time,” I will call Roto Rooter first!

Called for an emergency sewer back up and the best option they were able to give was 3-4 days from now..

Young guy came out to my location, told me he could not help me until I get a new clean out port put in. Didn't seem like he wanted to work, left me with my clogged pipes. Lazy people suck!

We were charged $325 for 1.5 hours, and they were not even able to fix the clog. So now we’re $325 in the hole with an unresolved issue. Also this rate seems extremely high compared to the average.

They quoted me 200 per hour and worked an hour and a half and then said we could have gone faster, let's just call it an hour I'm not sure if it was those specific guys that were cool or the whole company is like that but I'll go back.

Spent $240 last week for floor drain and days later same problem. Called at 7am and was told it world be covered and they would arrive between 9am and 11am. Arrives at 230pm and would not do the work with and additional $100. I have used them previously at our rental property but will never use them again. Literally $240 down the drain!

Don't call, would not recommend. They came out, told us it was another problem. But didn't even TRY to unclog the pipe, and charged us almost $300! Turns out it WAS the pipe, they were wrong. So when we called back and said the guy never even tried to unclog the pipe and that was the actual problem. They refused to send someone else out to fix it and realize their mistake and said we would have to pay all over again! Save your money and call a certified plumber. Ours fixed it and we're all good now, thank goodness.
